The Spencer house was long abandon and then blown up…but now its back in perfect condition and the childhood home of Margeuax and her momma Jeanette????????

That set gets reused a lot. I’m fine with that as Frank needs to save on the budget somewhere.

So many scenes take place in the MetroCourt restaurant or Charle’s Pub to save money. They did spend $ to build Laura and Kevin a condo set and Alexis finally meets clients in an office set instead of her home.

We’ll probably see the Q foyer/stairs again as we approach Thanksgiving.

The Sonny centric episode might have been the first time we saw someone actually eat at Mazzolo’s.

Some sets like Metro i dont mind…if Margeaux’s family just rented the place id be fine but its made like she grew up there…cant be…the place was abandon…if it is suppose to still be the Spensers they did a find job with repairs after the explosion-most homes get demolished…they could had at least altered it somewhat but then it is a soap where they reuse actors in other roles too-lol

Pedo Jim lived in that house too. It’s getting a lot of use…. but whomever owns the house seems to only rent it to some very disreputable people.

Presumably Luke still owns the house. If he’s renting to people like that, does that mean he’s regressed into the “Fluke” personality, where ever he is. And would that mean Tracy dumped him again?

They recycle a lot of sets; Anna’s house is the old Chandler mansion from All My Chandler, and Laura’s home is loosely based on Erica Kane and Ava Jermoe’s old penthouses.

The oldest recycled set is Elizabeth’s current house. The kitchen section is new, but the staggered stairs date back to the Webber/Jones/Scorpio house

My favorite episode is when there is no Carly and Sonny….strange the writers can dream up endless stories for them but not Dante, Laura and other characters…well, maybe the can always write for Nina as well!!!!….why cant Laura hire a lookalike Nicholas to haunt Valentin????

haunt Valentin like a Christmas Carol type story…Laura could be the ghost to take him on the journey!!!

We’re on the same page, Jimh. Now, if only the scripts were on that same page…

if the show was on the same page as us it would be brilliant

You know it, Jimh! 🙂

Who would play lookalike Nikolas? It’s rumored that Nikolas returns in the near future (supposedly a new recast, but one with soap experience). Likely part of JPS exit story

No thanks. Sonny and Brenda (90’s version), yes, please! Watching the “What If” episode. I noticed during the opening credits that Willow, Cameron, and Oscar are included (contract players). The show is doomed. (Although, I think the actor that plays Cameron is talented, not interested in the “teen scene”).

They’ve been there for quite some time.

I haven’t watched in ages..

The opening got updated last month, a few weeks after nuJordan debuted, and some other cast changes took place.

The Sonny and Carly Collection? I’ll hurry up and not watch that immediately.

Why is this necessary? With Christmas coming up, I expect to attend a few parties playing the White Elephant Christmas exchange (Michael Scott from The Office called it “Yankee Swamp”). I could see this as the gift everyone would be fighting to get rid of. I mean, who would want this?

Another GH promotion that has ZERO interest for me (and countless other viewers). Anything to do with the character of Sonny is a complete turn off (as in abhorrent, and as in turning off the TV). I will say, however, that both Sarah Brown and Tamara Braun are great actresses. Hey! I ended on an upbeat note!

I loved Tamara Braun as Carly. She had great chemistry with Maurice, unlike the current coupling who are a snooze-fest!

Thanks for the backup, AVP! I’m so with you on the “snooze-fest.” zzzzzzzzzzzzz

it’s truly a funny time… to bear witness to just what exactly is Frank VAlentini wringing out ? that Laura Wright and Maurice Benard are still relevant ? it’s beyond any thing @GH can do. FIRE Shelly and Chris… @ABC/Disney.. FIRE Frank Valentini. this direction of Port Charles has truly bottomed out… ie: the last ratings thread… for the 8th straight WEEK… get it People… @GH has plateaued .. hit the skids on the 18-49 prized demographic… yeah, that’s the stronghold of Women.

why would they hang on ? for ; Sonny / Michael / Jason / Finn / Franco / Peter ??? they have no stimuli.. they add nothing.. because they have no real connect to any one on the canvas. with no personality trait to keep them

outside of looking @. I can’t even get in to Carly and Sam worth. blah

OK. SAW on Soap central…. I WANT THIS… IS Hayden returning ? BECAUSE .. this is Shelly and Chris opportune time to FREE UP ANNA. GIVE US BACK Finola Hughes. that way… Finn and Hayden can leave Port Charles or go back burner and never be missed. ANNA must BE FREE

Frank Valentini: you are either having the last laugh… at the audience expense.. or taking pleasure in caricaturing this once loved show. when you are on record of having the lowest ratings 8 weeks onward. your featured pets are not bringing in the 18-49 desired demographic…. I hope TPTB take note

Thanks for your reply, Patrick. Again, you are preaching to the choir with me! And this “once loved show” was once loved — by me. Now I feel like an ex-spouse after a messy divorce. If only TPTB would listen to us, listen to their ratings, listen to reason! 🙂

James…the last sentence in your post made me laugh…lol. Thanks.

Have a good one, dude.

Love to pieces… Sarah Joy Browne ; Tamara Braun

The old episodes remind me of how much I liked Tamara Braun as Carly. I thought she gave Carly her sensitivity. Tamara had such heat with Maurice.-IMO
Unfortunately, Tamara as Kim Nero is a boring dud!

I’ve been watching a few of the older episodes. Billy Warlock was an awful recast as AJ Quartermaine. He made AJ so unlikeable, along with the writing and character assassination.

There is no better place to be on this earth, especially in these trying times, than sharing food at a table with others. That simple idea has been the basis of my life’s work. Hence, as I say in my shows, “Tutti a Tavola a Mangiare!” Mille Grazie to NATAS for this honor.”

While Adam Sharp shared, “Lidia Bastianich’s astounding success combines her love of cooking while simultaneously entertaining millions each day. It is an honor for us to say ‘grazie’ for the many fine meals borne from her TV kitchen and cookbook pages.”

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
