Photo: Netflix

Look for former Y&R and This Is Us star, Justin Hartley (ex-Adam, ex-Kevin) in a holiday film bowing tomorrow, November 24th on Thanksgiving Day.

In Netflix’s The Noel Diary, Hartley takes on the role of Jacob Turner, a successful novelist who gets a shocking phone call from his estranged mother’s lawyer. He informs Jacob that his mother has died.

Now, returning home to settle his mother’s estate, ‘Jake’ meets a young woman named Rachel (Station 19’s, Barrett Doss).  We find out she is searching for information on her birth mother, who she believes worked as the Turner family’s nanny many years ago.  As Jake and Rachel set out together to confront their pasts, an old diary may hold the key to unlocking their connection, while opening up their hearts to an unexpected future.

The Noel Diary also stars: Essence Atkins, Bonnie Bedelia, James Remar, and Treat Williams.

Hartley posted some pics from the film on his Instagram adding, “Sending out a few images from my upcoming film, #TheNoelDiary! Coming to @Netflix on November 24th.”

No. Like many actors, Mr. Hartley has reached his potential and seems unlikely to expand his actors’ repertoire. But I imagine these pleasant TV movies are lucrative and fun to make.

He was just on ‘ this is us’ which was huge. You’re mistaken. Actors are allowed to take breaks too

Be thankful for health and family today and try to not listen to the attacks on people or our nation! I was never a fan of this actor I will always think MM was the true Adam

Mark Grossman is the one and only Adam now. He has chem with everyone and he actually resembles Eric Braedan. He can convince you on any beat and I find myself rooting for him over even Joshua Morrow s Nick which I never to thought was possible.

YES, Damien. As much as I’ve liked most previous Adam portrayers (particularly Michael Muhney), Mark is the first one to really convince me of his inner battles and the pain the ABOMINABLE Victoria (and often Nick) inflict on him. Billy is even worse, stupid clown that he’s become. MG is a wonderful actor who hit the ground running on day one and hasn’t missed a beat. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s so ridiculously handsome…the hair, the smile, those wounded eyes that he reveals to surrogate father Jack. He’s really exciting to watch — the exact opposite of Billy and Devon.

Problem he can’t keep it in his pants off camera and I literally can’t stand CH I hate her character and the actress to say The character of Adam never loved Sharon or Chelsea !! Total bullshit

I dislike the actress hate is a strong word! I just can’t stand that no one is in charge over there you have these pansy ass actors crying and we do a reverse story ! ZHM is a cry baby and MG has decided I will screw all my leading ladies ugh

I will not be watching. He was my least favorite Adam. I prefer Cameron Mathinson’s Christmas movies.

Problem with Justin Hartley s Adam was besides Chloe killing him , nothing of real substance occured. I did enjoy Sage and thought she was so good with Nick

Christian ?? Seen him lately ??

I absolutely can’t stand what this show has become and JM needs to grow up every time he throws a fit the audience suffers ! Grow yp

Are u referring to everytime Nick is about to reunite with Sharon, Josh Morrow has a tantrum?
He and Sharon Case are the gold standard and he needs a reality check

Watching Justin Hartley act is like watching paint dry so that’s a hard pass for me.

Patrick Mulcahey OUT as General Hospital Co-Head Writer

After various reports surfaced, it has been confirmed that Patrick Mulcahey is out as the co-head writer of General Hospital. This is after a very short tenure of under five months.

Mulcahey was named to the position back in January of 2024 along with longtime GH writer Elizabeth Korte. They replaced the team of Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor, who had been the head scribes of the long-running ABC daytime drama since 2019.

A source informed Soap Opera Digest that stories created by the co-head writing team of  Mulcahey/Korte team will air through mid-summer. However they added “There will be more news to share at a later date as to the composition of the new writing team.”

In addition, eagle-eyed soap fans have seen that in recent episodes former co-head writer, Chris Van Etten has been credited, as he is reportedly a breakdown writer with the show.

Soap Opera Network is reporting that Korte has assumed the head writing duties solely on her own at the moment, while Buzz blog initially reported Mulcahey’s exit.

We will have more on the GH writing team evolution in the days ahead.
