Y&R’s Sharon Case on Sharon’s Upcoming Dream: “It’s Really Cool, It’s Really Fun, I Can’t Wait for That Episode to Air”

Photo: JPI

The Young and the Restless is kicking off 2024 with one of the things it does best, a standalone episode, featuring something in the life of one of the main characters on the Genoa City canvas.

Coming up on the Friday, January 5th episode of the top rated CBS daytime drama series, Sharon (Sharon Case) has quite the interesting dream which takes the viewer through the journey for the full hour of drama.

Case appears in every single scene of it.  At its epicenter is Sharon trying to envision what her future looks like after all the devastating losses she has suffered in her personal life, what her goals are in life as she moves forward, and more.

Michael Fairman TV caught up with Sharon Case during the recent Daytime Emmy week celebrations, where she gave us a mini-tease of what’s to come on the episode and just where she sees her on-screen alter-ego’s relationship with Chance (Conner Floyd) at this moment.

Case shared: “Sharon has the launch of her new company, Big Party, and she has a dream episodes, where it’s all her. The whole episode is Sharon’s. It’s really cool. It’s really fun. I can’t wait for that episode air. We just finished shooting it earlier in December.”

As to if she sees Sharon having a definitive love interest, Case weighed-in, “Not at the moment, I mean, she dates Chance.”  The actress shared she does enjoy her scenes with Conner Floyd, adding, “He’s fantastic and he’s so kind.”

The special Sharon-centric episode has been kept tightly under wraps, as to what characters appear in it with Sharon, but from what we hear, a lot of it will be unexpected and quite the wild ride.

So, are you looking forward to this special episode featuring Sharon Case? Who should be Sharon’s love interest in 2024? Chance? Nick? Someone new? Comment below.

It’s about time they used her. But, this relationship with Chance is a no go!

Still furious with JG for writing this stupid no air time triangle with the daughter of the woman who helped ruin her marriage in the worse time of her life the loss of a child. I still have never forgiven The character of Nick for that. Case has chemistry with every man she has ever been paired with she is like Becky over at GH . But I agree no to Chance and I think that’s where this is headed . Hopefully she will get more air time she is good people the actress .

Correction : I think she is going to tell chance goodbye go be with Summer

I kinda would like to see her character be independent in her business and have her own wealth away from the Newmans

The only time Sharon was interesting, and exciting to watch was when she was dingingout with Bipolarism…

And she and Chance are sickening, yuk..

Sharon is 52 – Chance 31 — Mariah 33

The writers placed a 31 yr old guy sexually with a 52 yr old woman whose daughter is 2 yrs older than her sex partner….

They are ridiculous as a mother and son-aged couple doing the nasty issshhh..

Chance in no way is a cougar hunter…

How awkward for him to have sex with a woman 21 yrs older than him and 2 yrs younger than her daughter……whats wrong with the writers being so desperate for another couple, uck..

Sharon needs a bipolar spree..

Yoooo…take a deep breath! You sound really bitter. It’s a soap. …and the character of Mariah is a lesbian sooo we don’t need to worry about her. And secondly Sharon Case is beautiful and obviously Chance is very deep and intelligent not shallow about ppls ages like you

The Adam bashing is getting real old and people need to stop it the only ones to blame is JG

Please don’t make it Sharon and Nick…that’s been rehashed too many times. Maybe bring in some new blood in 2024 for Nick and Sharon separately. Where is Nick’s son, Christian?

Christian? NICK’S SON.? So funny and ridiculous, guess the kid just lives alone with his Nanny.

Sharon is my favorite actress in daytime and maybe all of TV period. She deserves a serious story like maybe something related to her social work studies. Her getting involved in corporate stories along with Chance who’s always been a cop is silly. If Griffith could penn a intellectual story I can see her and Chance as the new Christine and Paul. Does Genoa city need more tycoons?! No one is a front line worker?!
I hope 2024 is Sharon s year. Pls put her front and center. Bring back her cottage home. Sharon and Chance are my new favorite couple but I like Nick in the wings.

Funny you mentioned her home. I had been thinking it would be nice for her to relocate to a new, upscale home with Sally as decorator.

I love sharon I would love be her upcoming husband. Wayne Rodriguez

American Idol

ABC Renews ‘American Idol’ for Season 8 and ‘The Bachelor’ for Season 29

While Katy Perry is exiting her gig at the judges table on American Idol at the end of this season, that will not stop the show from continuing on. The popular reality-singing competition had been renewed for its 8th season on ABC and its 23rd season overall.

American Idol started on Fox and was given new life at ABC seven years ago. The announcement of the renewal comes ahead of its Season 22 finale set to air on Sunday, May 19th.

As for Perry, she revealed back in February that she is stepping away from the show to pursue other career interests. The show is actively looking for the right chemistry and person to sit alongside judges and music superstars, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, who will be back next season, as will longtime host, Ryan Seacrest.

Photo: ABC

In other renewals, The Bachelor will be back following Joey Graziadei’s ratings winner of a season. The reality-dating competition will serve up its 29th season.

There is no premiere date set, but as has been in the past, the series usually premieres in January of the new year. While ‘Bachelor Nation’ will need to await, just who will be the next ‘Bachelor’, that person will most likely be selected from Jen Tran’s season of The Bachelorette, which is currently in production.

Photo: ABC

Jen’s journey to find love as the lead in The Bachelorette, marks that shows 19th season. It’s set to premiere this summer on July 8th and will again be hosted by Jesse Palmer.

Glad to hear “Idol” is coming back? Who should replace Katy Perry? Are you over ‘The Bachelor’ or did the last season featuring Joey as the lead, reinvigorate your interest in the show? Comment below.
