Shane from OLTL should win!

Totally agree with you Blake!!!!

the bullying story was good and shane should win, through the whole story your heart broke for this kid and how he was hurting afraid to tell someone, anyone, how he was feeling, then on top of all the hell jack put him through his mother is dead.(NOT)He is a good actor and he deserves the award.

I am hurt that the little guy that played sam on OLTL didn’t get an nomination because he was excellent and I miss him. <3

NO! How can irresistibly cute Patrick Gibbons, Jr not be nominated? Spiderman Sam saves Dorian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twKGgzCY-OU&list=PL788EC81DA892D907&index=17&feature=plpp_video

I agree with you too Georgia, the little fellow who played Sam was terrific, and a nom would have been nice for him. I miss him as well.

I agree with you about sam he is a little cutie, but shane he should win.

I completely agree no one is as cute and lovable and lights up a scene like the young actor who played little Sam.

I liked the boy that played Jack before he was aged. I thought he was adorable and played the role exactly right. Wish they would not have SORASed him. The last little girl who played Emma was fabulous.

Patrick Gibbons Jr AKA Sam Manning was robbed.

Impressive that Austin Williams (OLTL) and Haley Pullous (Molly on GH) got two nominations. Pullous was also nominated for a guest appearance on House MD (FOX). Disappointing that Kelly Missal (Danielle on OLTL) and Patrick Gibbons, Jr (Sam on OLTL) received no nominations. Andrew Trischitta (Jack on OLTL) looks like a young Tom Cruise. I think Williams is likely to win, but I am a sucker for anyone from OLTL.

haley pullous was cute in house,I didnt know she was nominated ,I think austin williams should, and will win.And like you I am pulling for anyone on One life to live to.

i think austin williams of oltl should win – he was just awesome especially during the bullying s/l

Oh yeah, Sam from OLTL should have been nominated also. It’s too bad we can’t see him on TV anymore 🙁

I only watched OLTL for a few months, but the Shane story was the reason I kept tuning in. The actor who played Shane should win hands down.
Sam was also great. The little boy said his lines as though they were the truth, and he didn’t look like he was acting. A sign of an actor.
Haley Pullos also deserves to win. She is terrific on GH.
Ciera on DOOL also was good.

I think Shane from OLTL should win.

I can sure understand that Shane was nominated, and he should win too! But Jack? Seriously? He may be cute, but he just can NOT act! I would cringe during some of his parts! I have seen numerous comments over time saying the same thing. A real dissapointment is that little Sam was not nominated. I don’t get that at all! He really deserved a nom! A better actor than Jack! I enjoyed Sam! I hope to see him again!

Sam was great, and I agree with you: Jack was the WORST. Shane will probably win because he had some great stuff to work with and his acting broke your heart. And, can someone tell my why SPIKE from AMC was nominated?! Did the boy even speak on the show?! If he did, it was barely noticeable.

I agree with you about Spike. Can’t recall the child saying much, or giving any notable performance. And that’s what makes it even more puzzling about Sam. How did Spike get a nom, and Sam did not? That little kid gave some notable performances, and especially for his age. A real snub! I do not get it at all! I’ll bet his little feelings were hurt!

I’m so glad Lexi Ainsworth was nominated, I hope GH is embarrassed over their ridiculous and inept decision to send her away….she was amazing, she gave Alexis/Nancy more legitimate story – which was warranted – it was all good. As you can tell, I’m still irate over her departure….and 85 people return…….for splash and dilution of stories and lack of Nancy. Sigh.

Wait, all of these children were nominated and Kelley Missal was not? I don’t understand. Austin Williams and Andrew Trischitta are sweet, adorable boys whose acting has improved slightly, but award worthy they are not.

Andrew Trischitta the kid that played Jack on OLTL was horrid. If he wins I’ll stop watching GH too.

Richard Simmons Recalls His Time On General Hospital and Meeting Tony Geary, Genie Francis, Rick Springfield and More

Fitness Guru, Richard Simmons has been recently sharing many stories about his time in Hollywood and his career on his X account as he reflects on his life and prepares his biopic.

In a string of posts, containing moments from his time on General Hospital, and meeting many of who would be his co-stars in Port Charles, Simmons opened up about how he landed on the soap in its hey day.

Simmons began by explaining that after an appearing on an ABC local morning show with Regis Philbin, he got a call two days later about GH, and things took off from there.

Photo: JPI

Richard expressed, “I met with the most powerful woman in daytime television. Gloria Monty. I also met with the head writer Pat Falken Smith. These ladies were very smart. They told me their idea. I would teach exercise classes in a disco for all the ladies on the show.” He added, “A week before taping the show the studio asked me if I could drive over and do some promotional photos. In my car I brought with me six jogging suits….My make up…some towels and five pound weights. I still could not believe I was going to be on a soap. lol.”

When he got to GH’s studio, Simmons shared, “The first person that I met was Genie Francis (Laura). Her father was Ivor Francis an actor who had been on Broadway and many TV shows. Genie was so young and innocent looking. I clicked immediately with her.

Photo: ABC

“The second person I was introduced to was Anthony Geary (Luke),” recalled Richard. “Some people called him Tony. ..but I did not. He was an actor’s actor. Mr G had curly hair like me. When he was not acting he was sitting in his dressing room learning all of his lines.  His door was always closed. One day when it was open. I asked if I could come in and sit and talk. This man won 8 daytime Emmys for playing Luke.”

“Now what can I say about Jane Elliot (Tracy)? She had an aristocratic face,” says Simmons. “One moment her character was very nice then she was the queen of mean. She allowed me to come into her room and chat while she was putting on makeup.”

Then, Richard recalled the late, great Stuart Damon (ex-Alan) and Jackie Zeman (ex-Bobbie). “I then met Prince Charming. Stuart Damon. He had been in a lot of TV shows and played Prince Charming on a special about Cinderella. Jackie Zeman was so cute. She had a pixie face.”

Simmons recalled when Rick Springfield joined the cast as Noah Drake, sharing, “While he was on the show his father passed away in Australia. I went to the news stand and bought him a bunch of magazines to read on the plane. How many times have you sung Jessie’s Girl and Don’t Talk to Strangers? When he came back from Australia he resumed his role.”

Noting his humble beginnings on GH running the aerobic classes at the Campus Disco, Richard recalled, “My first scene was in Luke’s Disco. All the nurses and other actresses were there dancing with me. I had never memorized lines before. So much was going on in my head. At the end of my scene, I heard the sound of heels clicking on the floor and everyone froze. It was Ms Monty and she was talking to me. ‘Richard the television is this big . You are talking like you are on a screen in a movie theater…bring your voice down.’ So I did.”

Tristan Riggs is General Hospital’s New Aiden

Looks like there is another new actor in the younger set on General Hospital. Tristan Riggs is taking over the role of Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) son, Aiden.

Previously, Enzo De Angelis played the part of Liz and Lucky’s (formerly Jonathan Jackson) son since 2021. Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Riggs is now firmly in the part.

The switch happened on today’s Thursday May 2nd episode in scenes. Recently, Aiden came out as gay to him mom after admitting his interest in one of his classmates.

Photo: ABC

Riggs has been acting since he was 7-year-0ld and has appeared on the TV series Walker, True Lies and Best Foot Forward to name a few.
