It’s a big May Sweeps week for Days of our Lives! As has been heavily promoted, things take a deadly and drastic turn when Nick (Blake Berris) and Gabi (Camila Banus) are kidnapped!  We will then also learn more of what happened to Nick in prison, and Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) are on their way to rescue a very pregnant Gabi!  How will this all turn out?

Look no further than to this week’s NBC promo for DAYS, where in a selfless act, it leaves a hero’s life hanging in the balance and a mother fighting for strength.

Watch the promo after the jump! Then let us know are you looking forward to this exciting week in Salem?  What do you hope will be the outcome for Will, Sonny, Nick and Gabi? And how will Sami (Alison Sweeney) deal with her beloved son in dire straits?   Share your thoughts!

As usual, it’s ALWAYS about Sami. Ugghh

I KNOWWW!!!!!!!!! SO annoying!

Well it wouldn’t be May if there wasn’t a shooting in Salem— it is tradition, like the first BBQ or planting your garden. All kidding aside, love May sweeps on the soaps, and Days always brings it— only wish they would do more often instead of always waiting for a sweep week to put some effort into the drama.

Every month on days should be like sweeps month…i hate to miss an episode.

Looking forward to Days as always!

Not much of a promo but hopefully this show gets moving a little faster. Weeks go by without anything happening.

Love Chandler Massey! His acting is awesome. However, I think they should have kept his character a straight guy – only because of the intense chemistry he shares with the girl who plays Gabby (can’t recall her name.) They absolutely pop when they are on screen together. I think it would’ve been an equally good storyline to have made his friend TJ homosexual. It would’ve explained his anger or dislike of gays because he was working through his own self doubt and insecurities. Oh well just a thought. Some people just have chemistry on screen and that’s what I picked up on between will and gabby.

I LOVE TJ – I wish he was on contract… you can see he’d act vulnerable when he lets his guard down….

I think Will shouldve been bisexual…it couldve open the door for more story possibilties!

There is no one named TJ-his friend is Tad, also known as T.

correct – it’s T.

My bad – they mentioned her name in the article – Camila.

i wrote sometime ago they should do a storyline where Will saves Nicks life and then Nick becomes a better person from it and he, his cousin Will, Gabi and Sonny become good friends as a result and they learn to love and raise the baby together then maybe a few problems will come up later involving maybe Sami or Sonny and Nick both get a little jealous over how much attention Will gives the baby and Gabi and theyll fight again and later reunite as friends again…all stories need some happy moments and then some drama thrown in every once in awhile.

I agree, this is the direction they need to head with it!

thank you Jimh

Blake Berris still to this day… blows me away with HIS Talent.

and Will has softened… and in to his relationship with Sonny.

So… what you said… this will help redeem Nick and they can focus on familial adversity(s).

Blake is good…hope this redeems him.

Days has been under the radar as of late –

depending on whom you speak with –

Days of OUR Lives has been so good lately.

i liken it to one act plays… you really have to appreciate the actors themselves to keep interested in DOOL as a whole.

but… Salem has been delivering.

I love my DAYS.

Just as i was starting to get bored with days…its getting better again and i havent missed an episode in over a week.

i saw the latest SOD issue on the newstands in the grocery store and immediately teared up.

I mother hen it up for Will.

days is really writing for this couple. Yet there’s still a great lack of racial diversity on day soaps and of course night soaps. Gay themed comedy soap “new normal” got axed. Majority of the chars on new normal were only white chars. Gay comedy partners got axed. It had an only white cast despite it being ny based. days. gh. b&b. amc. These day soaps have gay chars and lack racial diversity. Very little African american presence and no Asian american char on any of these day soaps. Yet scandal was the only sophomore night soap w/ ratings that grew! Its 18-49 demo is even higher than idol and its total ratings is higher than all its competition. All these flop gay shows and yet hollywood keeps creating storylines for gay chars. Yet scandal’s success has not translated to more racial minority chars as leading women on night soaps and day soaps of course.

Did you ever think that maybe the gay themed shows got canceled because they weren’t funny? Maybe gay nor white had anything to do with it?

Why can’t we have both? Gays do exist and they should be represented. Many strides have been made and gay characters are no longer the sympathetic friend or just displayed for comic relief. I hope at some point, we can get past this discussion.

This is the only good storyline on the show right now. Everything else is utter shite.

Blake Berris & Chandler Massey … OMG …. they are the best!!!!!
I even have to give props to Freddie & Camila Banus and anyone else looking forward to a Hope and (what’s his name hookup?? why can’t I think of his name) but they have chemistry!!

Now if they could just unload Daniel, Abby, new icky JJ and Jen this show would be complete 😀

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
