The search for the gal to play Thorne  (Winsor Harmon) and the late Darla’s (Schae Harrison) SORAS’d daughter has come to an end, according to CBS Soaps In Depth today.

Ashlyn Pearce has been cast in the role! of Alexandria Forrester on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful.

According to SID, “The actress is a relative newcomer, with only a few short films to her name, so naturally B&B will be her first foray into daytime.”

Pearce will make her on-screen debut in mid-November!  B&B had been looking to cast the character that is said to be “Beautiful. Well Bred. Very upscale and comes from money.”

So what do you think of the casting decision on initial picture impression?   Excited to see how Alexandra plays into the canvas and in story coming up on B&B?  Comment below!

i wish the actress well. lets see if she can act.

Congratulations to Ashlyn Pearce on being cast as Alexandra (Ally ) Forrestor I think she will blend in well with the Forrestor Family and the cast of the bold and beautiful.

Cute girl.

I like that they are casting an “unknown” instead of stunt casting someone who’ll come in and try to duplicate their popularity from a previous show.

I also hope this means we’ll see more of Thorne.

I agree totally, PatF. The lack of storyline for Thorne and use of sexy talented Winsor Harmon is criminal. I resent the loss of the original Forrester children: Ridge (recast already), Thorne, Kristen, and Felicia. The show is overstuffed with characters and some of the plots just do not work. Use what works. And that includes Thorne.

Let’s hope we have another Jennifer Finnigan on our hands…someone who can rise above this show’s crappy sophomoric writing and bring intelligence and charisma to the show.

Totally agree with you she looks a lot like Jennifer Finnigan and she turned out to be a great find. I would start watching again if she was brought on to show that worthless Hope the door you know the bastard child of Deacon that has and never had any business at Forrester.

Does this mean that Thorne Forrester will be resurrected from the basement???

We can only hope!

Please don’t say the word “hope” (kidding!)

If it helps give Thorne some airtime, I’m all for it.

I am glad to see this IF it gives Thorne a good storyline. If they try to set this girl up with Liam or something I will lose it. I am to the point if I NEVER saw Hope or Liam’s face or heard their name again I would be thrilled. I swear Hope has been front & center since her first day on the show-ENOUGH. IT IS BORING. AND NO MORE FLASHBACKS. This show is only around 18 minutes long & some days they spend 5 or 6 minutes “reminiscing” through flashbacks. It makes me crazy because there is so much potential in so many under used characters that we would love to see, right? Get some fresh new stories going over there!

I am truly excited for this, as BB has an awesome track record in casting newcomers to daytime with awesome result….Jennifer Finnigan, Jacqui Woods, Kim Matula, and I expect the same with this newcomer. She looks very fresh and natural!! Can’t wait to see her and Thorne!!!

BAD casting!!! With both Thorne and the late Darla being blond, it would make more sense to have cast a natural towhead as their daughter. B & B already has a brunette (Steffy), light brown-dishwater blonds (Hope and Caroline), but there is no REAl blonde except for Brooke, who is in the “mature” grouping. (In retrospect, Caroline should have been a redhead, just to balance things out, but by now it’s too late–contracts have been signed, to be sure.) Nothing against this little gal who may be quite a good actress in the role of Alexandra–time will tell–but good casting should consider ALL aspects of a character, not just acting ability. In my mind, Alexandra should be petite, with fine, delicate features and definitely very blond. Heed your audience, casting directors!

Have you never heard of the fact that two blonde or fair haired people will often have red-headed offspring, and that’s what Ally is !

It took you nearly a year to reply and this is the best you could come up with?! A lesson in genetics? Really??? I was talking about CASTING appropriately and believably…and I stand by my original statement. Ally should have been a towhead blonde with delicate features and an air of refinement. I’ve noticed on this message board that several other people were of the same mindset. That said, I will say that I’ve grown to like the current Ally as a character because she has spunk and calls it like it is.

I think this wonderful young lady is very sexy and hot!
Ashlyn is a very good actress and I know she will play very well!
She is the right person for character Alexandra Forester!
Wow! I can’t wait to see her play!
My son JB is 12 years old and loves to play piano, pipe organ and acting! He told me maybe I can meet her in life one time! He is interested to enter Juilliard NY
BEST WISHES TO THE YOUNG ACTRESS

Can’t wait for Alexandria, mainly because Windsor Harmon will hopefully get a decent story-line. The writers have wasted his talent for many years. The flunky son banished to the basement….how stupid!

It’s about time…sick to death of Hope, Hope, HOPE!!!! Not sure why she will be Hope’s PROTEGE, but ok will .

Saw the debut today. This young lady looks young. I really did not see her as being refined. Don’t like Caroline Spencer but she does looks rich and spoiled. I want Ally to get with Wyatt to break up that three-way affair with Hope, Liam, and Wyatt. I am getting sick of them. Let every man have his own woman (lol). Bring Steffy back as a temporary to spice up the storyline.

Omg…a clone of Chelsea Clinton …..nit up to Forrester image..try again!

EXACTLY! I think she is homely! But, I guess it is the quality of her acting that matters. I was just surprised by her (lack of good ) looks for a popular soap.

Lack of good looks, you must be kidding ? She has gorgeous eyes.

I never noticed her eyes. I will have to pay more attention next time she’s on. I still think she is ‘homely’ for soap standards. She reminds me of a young Chelsea Clinton. She is now looking better, since they have made her up, to look more sophisticated. But, still no beauty. She may have gorgeous eyes, as you say. Doesn’t make up for her face. I realize she was born with it, so it’s not fair I suppose I am criticizing her for it. I agree, with another viewer, that she isn’t even a very good actress. I DID say, initially that if she is a really good actress, that is all that we should be concerned with. Well, seems as if she can’t really act and lacks in the looks department as well. They could have casted better. She should go to acting class.

I agree! A young Chelsea Clinton. She is homely for soap standards. I guess the important thing is her acting ability. Still surprised they chose her with her (lack of) good looks on a top soap!

Please tell me that maybe you can get rid of Brooke, Hope, and Liam. Do you have any idea how boring these three are??? We need more of Thorne. Please, before you drive all of us away.

I am sick of the Hope and Liam thing too. I like Brooke with Bill. Don Diamont is one sexy man. Speaking of good looking men, I love Thorsten Kaye as new Ridge. I never thought much of Ronn Moss’s acting abilities. I know he is completely different that the previous character, but a good replacement. I have not watched BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL for too many years, so I don’t miss the character of Thorne. One final comment on the show.. I think Wyatt’s Mother and Bill have lots of chemistry.. It would never be a love story, but the do sizzle on screen.

I, at first thought the new “Aly” was not as attractive as she should be but have changed my mind… Something about her…. And I do think she portrays the part well… And I like the Aly & Oliver story line…

not a good actress and not nearly cute enough for Oliver – glad to see him having more storyline – but they have no chemistry….

(INTERVIEW) B&B’s Annika Noelle Reveals Her Lead Actress Emmy-Nominated Scenes, and the Ups and Downs of a Tough Year

When the nominees were announced last week for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, six women wound up in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category and that included The Bold and the Beautiful’s Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) who had quite the heavy on-screen story.

For months, Hope initially tried to hold her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton) together, gave into her passion for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and became a stronger more independent woman in the process. Noelle was previously nominated in 2020 in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, but this marks her first-time presence in the highly-coveted Lead Actress race.

On Friday, April 26th, The Bold and the Beautiful celebrated their leading 12 nominations, as well as being the show with the most acting nominations going into the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards set to air live on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

Photo: JPI

During the on set celebration, when B&B’s Emmy-nominated executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, introduced each of the acting nominees, they took a moment to address their colleagues, and for Annika, her speech was touching and emotional. She expressed, “I’m so grateful to Brad Bell for believing in this dark brunette, and allowing me to be a part of this family. And when we say that we’re a family, it’s not just because we get along. It is really because we are here for the majority of the year with each other. I know for a lot of people, 2023, was a difficult year.  The thing about this beautiful show is that it was my constant, and it’s what I could depend on during a tough year. And there are beautiful days like this when you come in and everything in your life is going amazingly. And then, there are days where your world is falling apart. And the crew, honestly, you guys kept me afloat this year and that’s why this is so meaningful to me.”

Photo: MFTV Inc

Annika added, “I don’t think I could have gotten through this year without the love and support from this family. So, thank you for being there for me on days that I needed the strength and you gave that to me. I’m so grateful to my co-stars and who I get to share these beautiful scenes with. I just wanted to say, I appreciate all of you and thank you so much. You all mean more to me than you will ever know.”

Michael Fairman TV caught up with Annika immediately following the Emmy nominee celebration, to her thoughts on this momentous occasion in her professional life and what it means to her personally, plus what did she choose for her scenes when Hope had such, shall we say, a torrid year of story to choose from. Here’s what she shared below.

Photo: JPI

Dare I say, I called this nomination for you? Back on New Year’s Eve, I revealed My “Best Of” Picks for 2023 and I had you as the Best Overall Performance by an Actress for the year, and alongside your fellow nominee, Cynthia Watros (Nina, GH), to boot!

ANNIKA: Thank you for believing in me that I could do it.

How did you to tackle your Emmy-nominated reel and what you were hoping to showcase?

ANNIKA: I was just so grateful to have the story to be able to pick from, and to really try to show the character growth and the arc of everything that happened to Hope Logan in the past year. For me, I really wanted to take the voters on a journey from her really being heavily influence by everyone’s opinions and everyone else’s voices, to her really coming into her own and going, “I don’t care if it’s the right or wrong choice, it’s my choice.”

Photo: JPI

What scenes did you end up submitting the landed you this Lead Actress Emmy nomination?

ANNIKA: I started with this great scene that our producers, Casey Kaspryzk and Rachel Herman actually remembered, where Hope walks in on her mother in her lingerie flirting with Ridge. And they remembered that scene. So, that really launched us off to Hope being kind of in this deep denial of, “I’m nothing like you. I’m not going to follow in your footsteps. I don’t have feelings for Thomas.” Cut to Liam confronting her about watching her give into her desires in Rome. And him saying, “Where were you Hope? At the Colosseum?” and then kind of in a roundabout full circle way, Brooke finding Thomas and Hope in bed together and then Hope really kind of going toe to toe with her mother. Then, ending with her kind of fully coming into her own as a woman and saying, “You wanted a divorce, Liam, here’s your divorce.” I really wanted to show the journey of her finding her own voice and advocating for her own choices and finding that inner strength, basically.

Photo: JPI

Was choosing the reel difficult given you had so much material within the 2023 calendar year of eligibility to consider?

ANNIKA: It was hard to pick and choose. There were a few I ended up leaving out. There was a really beautiful scene with Thomas where she realizes he overheard her kind of talking ill of him. That one was really hard to let go of.  I was also considering another scene with Liam where they actually signed the divorce papers. I’m just so grateful to even be able to have the material to choose from.

Photo: JPI

How did you find out you were nominated?

ANNIKA: Eva Basler, our VP of Communications & Talent Relations, called me and it meant so much to me to get that call from her. I tend to get nervous and have anxiety, so that day I just had to not think about it. So, I was out on a walk with my love, and my dog. We’re just in the middle of a cul-de-sac and my phone starts ringing. And it was the best surprise ever! Then, when I found out that Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, B&B) got nominated alongside me, I immediately FaceTimed her. It was the funniest thing because she literally picks up and she is wearing a sun visor and sunglasses wrapped up on top of a horse as she’s in the middle of a mountain and in a valley on this beautiful white horse. It was the most picturesque thing.

Photos: ABC, JPI, NBC

I believe you know some of the women you are nominated with, obviously Katherine, but also Tamara Braun (Ava, Days), Finola Hughes, (Anna, GH), Cynthia Watros (Nina, GH) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R). What are your thoughts on these nominees?

ANNIKA: Well first, I’m just so excited to be in this category with the other women. Tamara Braun, who I was nominated with previously in the Supporting Actress category I’m excited that she’s in this category with me. Michelle Stafford, who I see in the hallway all the time, is great, and Finola Hughes, I’m just like obsessed with from afar. I even watched her on Watch What Happens Live!  Cynthia, I hear her work is tremendous, and with Katherine, I’m just really grateful to get to share this with her. To be honored amongst these legends of daytime is amazing. Just to be seen in that way, that means more to me than anything.

Photo: JPI

You mentioned during B&B’s on-set Emmy celebration that this past year was a difficult one for you, and that everyone at the show really helped you through it. What meaning would winning the Emmy hold for you?

ANNIKA: That would be overwhelming. I wouldn’t even know how to describe it – an honor, a privilege, a blessing? It would mean the world to me, especially after this past year. That’s why it’s so significant, because even on the darkest days, the storms passes. You just have to hold on for that brighter day.

So, what did you think about the scenes Annika submitted for Lead Actress? Were they some of your favorite moments from the Emmy season? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
