Kristoff St. John Files Lawsuit Against Mental Facility Over Son Julian's Death

The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) and his ex-wife Mia are in the news again regarding the tragic events of the death of their son Julian back in November of 2014.   According to TMZ, St. John is suing the facility where his son committed suicide – La Casa Psychiatric Health Facility in Long Beach, CA -for giving Julian access to the plastic bag he used to kill himself.

One of the key reasons St. John is filing the suit is that the actor claims that Julian did the exact same thing less than 3 weeks before his death when he attempted to asphyxiate himself with a trash bag from his room.  In the wrongful death suit, Kristoff says after that failed attempt the hospital never removed the trash bags from his room.

Even more upsetting is Kristoff revealed in his claim: that there is evidence of the nurses falsifying records and that Julian was supposed to be checked on every 15 minutes because he was a high suicide risk, but records show reveal that checks never happened on time.

Kristoff feels the hospital was completely negligent and stated that had the staff acted with even the slighted regard for Julian’s safety, “he would still be alive today.”

In addition after the jump, watch Kristoff and Mia on Tuesday’s night edition of Entertainment Tonight talking about the lawsuit with ET host Kevin Frazier.  Then, share your thoughts on this developing story below as Kristoff seeks justice for his son Julian.

I feel for their loss..
A goodbye that is never goodbye..

checking google..La Casa Mental Health Rehabilitation Center – Teleca
(I dont know if I’d intrust anyone to government facility..

It seems that is what it is, not positive just from google;
Telecare is one of the nation’s providers of adult mental health services to county and state governments.
Individuals are referred through Los Angeles County.
Funded by: Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
knowing that,, I wish him luck and all the best ..

We had to watch my father in laws care twenty four seven ! Sorry but this is the way of the world today unless you keep them in your home or on top of it twenty four seven this is what happens. I am very sorry for your loss but this facility had a terrible reputation! It is a terrible burden on families who deal with mental illness unless you go thru it you have no idea what is going on!

I agree the substitute..no matter how much you watch and love and give..a loved one could be anywhere..even home..and if they want to go..they find a way to..even fifteen minutes can be too late..removing all objects yet letting other patients have said objects the person knows..it’s heartbreaking but in situations of mental health..there is no blame to be laid…I hope Kristoff realizes he didn’t fail his son…mental health is not parental failure..it’s just a fact of life.

Saw him on entertainment tonight with ex wife telling their story of their beloved son it was so sad my heart aches for them I hope they get to resolve this and have peace . I don’t even know what’s the right thing to say here it’s just really sad….

Hi, Aria.
I watched the segment also. And, there I was, crying along with them. Everyone feels their pain. No one wants to experience that anguish….that vise around one’s heart.

But, for those of us who have lost a child, for whatever reason, the pain is not only felt, but also shared. We identify with it. Each time I hear anything even close to this kind of tragedy, my wound opens a little wider.
We may put a band-aid on it….but, the wound never heals.

It’s very sad.

WWE Reveals WrestleMania 41 Host City as Las Vegas in April 2025

It was seemingly down to the tale of two cities, would it be Minneapolis or Las Vegas that would host WrestleMania 41 next year? On May 4th, following WWE Backlash in Lyon, France streaming on Peacock, the official announcement was made.

Opting for the warmer climate, the WWE in conjunction with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, revealed that Las Vegas will host WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20, 2025.

“Las Vegas is the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World. Allegiant Stadium has proven to be even greater than the A+ venue Las Vegas guaranteed it would be,” said Nick Khan, WWE President. “We look forward to bringing WWE’s biggest event, WrestleMania, to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium so we can collectively make WrestleMania 41 on April 19 & 20, 2025, the most successful WWE event of all time.”

“Bringing the iconic global brands of WWE and Las Vegas together will create what is sure to be an unforgettable event and weekend,” said Steve Hill, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President & CEO. “As the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, hosting WrestleMania 41 is the perfect addition to our events calendar, and we can’t wait to welcome the WWE Universe to Las Vegas in 2025.”

In addition to the two-night stadium event, WWE will bring RawSmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, WWE World and the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to Las Vegas, as well as a variety of community outreach events designed to give back to the local region.

This past April, WrestleMania 40 took place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and had a combined attendance of 145,298 for the two-night event. WrestleMania 40 became the most successful and highest-grossing event in company history, and the WWE will aim to break that record next year in Las Vegas.

The last time WrestleMania was in Las Vegas was back in 1993 when it was held at Caesars Palace and was the first WrestleMania event to be held outdoors.

So, what do you think of Las Vegas becoming the host city for WrestleMania 41? Do you think this year’s cold climate in Philadelphia swayed the decision against Minneapolis? Will The Rock return as “The Final Boss” to battle WWE Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes, next year at WrestleMania? Stay tuned.
