Ray Wise Makes An Unexpected Return As Ian Ward To The Young and the Restless!

During last Friday’s episode, viewers of The Young and the Restless were in for a surprise when none other than Ian Ward was back on the canvas, ushering in the return of Daytime Emmy winner and in-demand and busy veteran actor, Ray Wise!

In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Ian is the mastermind behind the Paragon Project putting in cahoots with Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) all in an nefarious cyber-plot to bring down and payback the almighty Victor Newman.

TV Insider spoke with Wise to get the info on what is to come including: how this one time cult leader became an internet raider, how on earth Ian got out of jail, and if there is a woman in the town that has piqued his interest.  Here are a few excerpts from the interview below!

Ray on how Ian became involved in this cyber scheme with his background:  “He’s the ultimate confidence man. He can do anything. And he wants revenge. He’s been slapped or punched by pretty much everybody in Genoa City. He can’t move on with his life because he still has scores to settle. He and Adam will really have the whole town in turmoil. It will be major…monumental! The viewers are going to be quite surprised by the scope of the havoc Ian and Adam will raise.”

Ray on how Ian got a get out of free jail card:  “There is an explanation coming. You’ll know exactly how it happened, and it’s all perfectly laid out and legitimate. But what horrible things did he do, really? Okay, so drugging and kidnapping Mariah and trying to marry her was not a nice thing. But he didn’t actually harm her in any substantial way. (Laughs) And he did get her a nice wedding dress. Why should he be in jail?”

Ray on someone else on the canvas that Ian has his sights set on:  “There’s also someone in town who fascinates him. Someone he has a liaison with. Someone of the female persuasion.”

So, what did you think about the return of Ian Ward?  What do you think about two of Victor’s biggest enemies, Ian and Adam trying to bring the moustache down?  Who do you think is the female that Ian is fascinated with in Genoa City? Are you glad that Ray Wise is back on screen on Y&R?  Share your thoughts below!

Not a fan of this character so I’m disappointed with the return.

I’m not a fan of he character either but I sure am a fan of Ray Wise.

Me too, Kelly. I adore Ray Wise–he’s quite a talented fellow.
I know what you mean about the character but Ray Wise will make it work. He’s that good.

I love Ray Wise..he’s a great actor..CP is so happy to be writing for him on daytime that this character will languish in GC as long as that whole fake Jack story took to conclude..at least the character is in the hands of stunt story Pratt so who knows what Ian will do..oh wait i do..a ticking clock..subtitles that spell out the time of day..and a bomb in the GC Athletic Club during a big celebration…You wait and see…

CP will probably kill off Esther with this story and shoot Jill into a coma…LMAO

Hey, I’m for anyone who can make Victor quiver. It’s fairly inspired story-telling, and I look forward to seeing what Ian and Adam come up with to make Victor pay for at least some of his crimes.
I was SO disappointed with Jack (wuss that he is) for backing down from telling Paul exactly what Victor did to him because of The Moustache’s threat re: Jack’s blowing up the ship he and Marisa were on. Jack wouldn’t have BEEN on the ship had it not been for Vic’s machinations. I believe Jack owes it to his brother and sister to tell them about Marco being his doppelganger; at least they’d understand why things happened the way they did for those months.
So if Ian Ward, played by the terrific Ray Wise, can do what Jack won’t, bring it on! Victor must be made to pay by someone, one way or another. I’ll be watching!

Well said Sandy J. Victor has got to pay for all of his horrible and destructive actions. Is he some kind of invincible super villain who can never be punished? That is ridiculous. Victor needs to pay and pay big time for all the misery he’s caused so many people.

Great post. Nothing to add. You have covered the most important scenario. Get Victor!!!!…that’s good enough for me, Sandy J.

Jack will not reveal the doppelganger because they will return to that story again someday.

Sandy! Love the rhyme! Victor, quiver. You’re a poet and didn’t know it.

I have to say it was a surprise about Ian but it doesn’t flesh out storywise. The Paragon project was started by Colin Atkinson and Cain knows of it. For them to gloss over that when they spent so much air time talking of it makes ZERO sense. The Ian character is very much like the Kimberly Shaw character on Melrose Place back in the 90’s. She was completely unrepentant but an audience favorite on the show. I love Justin Hartley’s Adam Newman portrayal but even Adam wouldn’t link up with a whack job like Ian. Pratt likes to go for far fetched but it’s his show to drive right now. I, personally, think that the character he will “hook” up with in Genoa City is Patty Williams. It might start out as a love match but Patty is insane and Ian has no idea what lengths she will go to. I am in it for the fun even though I don’t like stories that drop central points. I can imagine and even suspend my disbelief except when it doesn’t follow through.

You are 100% correct Mateo. Colin was behind this, not Ian, and not Adam. And Ian’s out of jail, and nobody knows about, not on the news, or on the internet, with all these people checking their i-phones go whacko, none of them ever check the news. I hate what Chuck Pratt has done to Y&R. You are right, it’s Pratt’s show to drive right now, and he’s headed for that big cliff ahead!!!!!! Only way to go is down.

Joe, every soap is the same, they have the cellphones but they are always dead or lose signal strength. It does happen in real life but EVERYTIME its an excuse on why someone didnt know something happened!

Mateo, are you sure about Colin being behind The Paragon Project? There was something that Colin got into earlier but it escapes me as of now. I think it was that pharmaceutical company that was behind those diet pills that Summer was taking.

Just a couple of posts ago, Harry asked if John Abbot was behind the project. I vehemently refuted the thought! I said it must be Colin with a bunch of other baddies, including Marco. So, I agree, Mateo…intricate stuff. I do not like Ian, but if his return means crucifying Victor? I’m all for it….

You were right, Cee Cee–wish you weren’t!
I thought of John Abbott because the same day Victor was saying that he was absolutely sure an Abbott was behind this and we knew it was not Jack, Billy or Ashley, was the same day Jack found that sweet note his dad left him back when he took the helm of Jabot from his father.
That was an all too rare scene which was actually character driven.
You know who I really wish were behind it? Tracy Abbott. Honestly, she has every reason to detest Victor. He unleashed Crazy Patty onto the Abbott family which resulted in the death of Tracy’s only daughter, Colleen. Then Victor gets Colleen’s heart for the transplant he needed.
Tracy has always had a heart of gold but would it not be nice to sit back and watch her seek vengeance upon Victor? And she would do so, with that sweet smile washing over her face. I would love that!
But it is what it is and I do love the very talented Ray Wise.

@Harry.
Wise is a cool dude. Not my favorite, but can’t deny and his exceptional acting.
We are not sure if Colin is also behind the paragon project. I am just tying a bunch of baddies together. Colin is devious but, not too smart. Would anyone as astute as Ian Ward take Colin on? Marco is a great possibility.
Yes, Traci as the mastermind is a delicious idea. No one would ever suspect, as you say, that sweet face/smile.
I just wish that Victor were bested at his own game by one of the Abbots. I could have believed Jack as the leader, but he’s been off-kilter, lately. NuBilly…..what an idiot…Naw. Phyllis? Possibly.
John Abbot? Too good-hearted and honest. One of the Abbots certainly would have defined the true meaning of Karma; payback….have Victor eat caca.

CeeCee & Harry,
‘If any Abbott is written as being behind the Paragone project, some of the fans might be in kill mode for writing a loved Abbot Character totally out of character.. lol
You can imagine how that would roll ..
But– I love it!! Make it Tracy!!!
(hope it’s not liler fellow Kyle..
Joe? a great way to bring him upfront into play..

I never have enjoyed shady corporate underground stories with those ominous names. They are never clear or suspenseful. Just dumb. And since Patty Williams was mentioned… she is pushing 60. I do not like how the mental illness this character was assigned played out, as if it were a joke. It, too, was dumb. I keep hopjng for Y&R to find some romance and suspense… and that people pay for their sins somehow, at least some of them. Points though for Ian Ward as the surprise. I had written that character off and for good reason, it just seemed an odd play and without great payoff.

I check Colin’s history on another website, no mentioned of him being involved with Paragon — Bonadventure was the company and then he blackmail Devon to get money so Jill and Cane could take over Chancellor, but in the end Victor just sold it back to them. But I agree it should of have been them. I hate how they watered Colin down from a ruthless mob boss to a tidbit hustler. And Cane was more interesting when he was a bit shady instead Mr. Too Good to be True. But if can’t be them that takes down Victor, I wished it had been Ashley– and Ashley working with Adam would have been priceless– but instead we will have to settle for Ian Ward– just hope they flesh out his character better this time around.

I totally agree, Mary. If Tristan Rogers had to play a bad guy, could he not play a corporate raider?
He is such a gem of an actor and is being wasted on Y&R.
However, I did find the scenes which transpired between Colin, Jill and Esther to be hilarious. Those scenes should not have worked but Tristan and Jessica made them work.

Wise’s talent was wasted during his first run and I don’t expect this time to be any different with Pratt in the writer’s seat.

Ian Ward had the potential to be a sexy charismatic villain in the tradition of One Life To Live’s Mitch Laurence but poor writing was the character’s undoing. The writers just told viewers that Ian was a bad guy rather than than show us through scenes which developed the character. Instead of spending so much time focusing on Dylan’s reaction to Ian, the show should’ve spent time answering important questions about Ian: Was he really a cult leader or just a con artist? How long had he known Mariah was Sharon’s daughter? Why did he want a child? And why a daughter instead of a son? If he was so obsessed with Nikki why hadn’t he sought her out years earlier? If he was such a charismatic cult leader why did he only have the one follower helping him?

As for the woman Ian is obsessed with, I’m guessing it will be Sage because she is pregnant and she’s a hot mess which will remind him of a younger Nikki. Ian will somehow engineer it so that Sharon gets Sage’s baby because that will hurt both of Nikki’s sons (Nick will think he lost a child and Dylan will raise a child he thinks is his).

hi Alan..
As you said– those writers J&S they wrote it confusing and without developing characters, stories that had a 100 questions not answered.
And- they will soon/Oct. be writing for GH .. crazy stuff lol ..
guess you’ll have to tweet them for all those question to be answered aha! ..

If you get the answers, please let me know 🙂

Hey su0000,

Unfortunately we’ll never know what Shelly Altman or Jean Passanante may have had in mind writing wise to finally being the Paragon Project to a close. I guess we’ll have to wait to see how Chuck Pratt closes that storyline out. Having Ray Wise back as Ian took me completely by surprise. When the camera finally revealed his face, my jaw dropped! He would have been the last person that I would have thought of to bring about the PP, but him being in cahoots with Adam is a stroke of genius! This is going to lead us right into November sweeps.

To defend ANY writer I will say this, Ray Wise is a guest on the show. Unless he signs a long term deal they dont have a lot of time to develop his backstory. I wish they did. He is very interesting and a great actor!

Agreed, but I think the best soap writers have their character’s backstory in place before they ever hit the screen and as such would know if an actor’so schedule is going to fit the story they want to tell. Shorthand never cuts it daytime because the viewers are too savvy and spot the contradictions right away.

I was not a fan of this character the first time around but I do get there has to be another player on the block because watching Jack and Victor feud all the time was getting tiresome. I think it would drive Paul nuts if the person who has Ian’s attention was Patty — that duo could create a lot havoc in GC.

Hmmm, Mary…how innovative! I’d like to see that. As you say, just to drive Paul nuts. He has been getting on my nerves lately, as well. It’s been a pleasure not seeing Cricket on the scene so much, too.

He is back to being DULL Williams again!

Timm, I have always referred to him as Paul Squealliams.

A computer virus – really?!? What is this, 1997?!? Such a timely storyline – NOT!!!

Just more lazy, plot-driven garbage courtesy of Pratt & Phelps – so many unanswered questions, but just more convoluted garbage coming our way…!!!

Ah, Sony was hacked in 2014.

And the Federal government was hacked in 2015.

This is fantastic news!
Someone to wipe the floor with that pitiful “orphan”, I like it.
Keep up the excellent work Mr. Pratt, the show has NEVER been more exciting & fun to watch.

At last Pratt has the great actor facing off with Victor!
A threat to Victor that Ian and Adam just may (for a short while) take victor to his knees..

Jean and Shelly wrote Ian as a dumb cult leader aha! that went nowhere.
At least Pratt has him teamed with Adam going after Victor full steam!!
I slept through 2013/14 under Jean n Shelly and Pratt has kept me awake, and that is good thing lol
Y&R is now awake & alive!!!

su0000, I longed for Colin and Victor to mix it up but I’m liking Victor and Ian.

Su…this is where you and I are both liking the very, very bad boy. It’s a long way to go in the story, but I just hope they don’t dumb down Phyllis for too long when it comes to the mysterious Ian. She’s feisty and usually the only one on the show who has any brains and instincts…sometimes to the point of being annoying. Especially compared to the other, I hate to say “girls.”

Su…Oops! How could I forget Pyyllis got fooled by Marco/Jack…really bad. Well I still hope they don’t take her down that sweet talking road for too long before her instincts click in.

Somebody’s been taking the brown acid…apparently that’s the only way to enjoy “Y & R” now – while under the influence!!

I’ll pass on the brown acid, but Harry’s trying to get Avery to mix up a batch of special brownies on a post below. Brownies for everyone!

I wasn’t too thrilled with the first story that introduced us to Ian Ward. I’ll wait and see on this Paragon Project one but I’m skeptical and don’t really want to see Adam mixed up in it. There was no hint he knew anything about it until Friday when he suddenly seemed neck deep in it. I agree the story sounds like more of Pratt’s plot driven garbage.

Not so much interested in the character, but I met Ray Wise at a Fan Expo show when he was right in the midst of one of Ian Ward’s more heinous crimes on Y&R. He was really nice, laughed when I said he was being really bad as Ian, and spoke with me before the long lineup and pay for autograph part. Plus I’ve really liked him in his many roles over the years. So I will be waiting to see his next really bad boy antics on Y&R.

Good to know, Rose–thank you.

A delicious bad boy. Love Ray Wise.

Bummer. I don’t like Ian and don’t think he’s a match for Victor and I think he’s one of the most boring soap villains ever. I bet he’ll be in contact with Patty, although Patty would probably follow him around like a lost puppy, so I can’t see him being “fascinated” by her.

hi Ashleigh..
Ray/Ian was dull/boring written under Jean and Shelly, for sure.
Now– Pratt is writing for Ray/Ian and I guarantee under Pratt Ian will be way more intriguing as a bad guy..

Good point su0000!

This is an unexpected surprise from Sir Charles Pratt and I love it! Ian was so creepy and he is the ONLY one on the show that even attempts to outwit the great and powerful MUSTACHE! Ray Wise Rules!

hi Timmm..
Pratt is mixing it up!!
I hope to see Ian, Patty, Adam and Joe entangled in the story ..
I see Victor going down, he will soon rise again, but still …

I know su, I cannot wait for Victor to fall but it will not last. It must be in his contract that, in the end, he always comes out VICTORious!

love ray wise!!!
best villian to come out of y n r since patty!
however when i think of ian i relate him to dylan and avery! … any chance we can get avery , jessica collins , back to genoa city?! if anyone criminal can get avery back to being a lawyer , ian can!

I miss Avery’s CUPcakes!

Avery should start baking special brownies and give them to Summer, Victor and Victoria so they can all loosen up and calm the hell down.

I’ll take a special brownie. I’m sure it would make me much more tolerant of Summer, Victor, Victoria…pretty much all of GC.

Ray Wise is such a sexy older man!! Love that he’s back!!!

He is.

Too soon for me to comment except that it seems a shame to put Adam into the equation although his past history supports the involvement. Ray Wise is a wonderful actor. He was such a success in his previous stint that I didn’t want to watch. The show has gotten so “dark.” “Creepy” does describe many of the storylines. I don’t want “House of Cards” in the afternoon, nor at bedtime when my set is turned on. Yes, why is Jack always so submissive, and why is Paul such an inept cop? I don’t mind the attempt at these all encompassing themes, but can’t some of the actors have roles that exhibit traits countering all of these crazed personalities? While I am writing, what actually happened the night the little girl was killed?

That is a story that has never been finished. There is no way Adam killed Delia with his car. Adam has gone through enough and all he ever wanted was his father’s acceptance. I wish he’d realize his father is a poor excuse for a man /husband/father and have a good life with Chelsea.

They need to find someone who is leaving Y&R or someone to fire, to have the killer of Delia revealed.
I do not believe there was ever a killer written/who it would be.

I vote we make it Summer after all if you remember back to that period. Chelsea was pregnant with her & Adam’s first child and Summer went off in one of her little temper-tantrums and hit Adam’s car and caused Chelsea to lose the baby so they could easily make it her and get rid of her.

You bet, Nikki. I am just wondering what the hold-up is. Why are PTB prolonging this mystery? Adam did not kill Delia…hurry it up, writers!!!!
God, Nikki you and I fit like a glove when it comes to Victor….off with his head, I say. LOL.

Y&R continues to sink into a quagmire of Pratt’s ridiculous stories and taking characters into 180 degree turns that make the show beyond watchable. It’s like a bad cartoon show now. Who is he writing this trash for? The mentally impaired?

Ray Wise is such a great actor. I like him but I would vote for anyone who can finally bring Victor down. I know it’s a soap-opera but come on Victor has gotten away with every crime he’s ever committed its just become sickening to watch him lately and I want to see Adam win.

Huge surprise, but good to see him. Disappointed Adam is involved with the Paragon Project.

I have been watching ynr since 1985, I will no longer watch! The story lines have become boring! Catherine’s passing (R.I.P. Jeanne Cooper) and Michelle Stafford, and Micheal Muhney, leaving the show! Along with Katie Linder, leaving recently! I am sad to see a GREAT SOAP go bad!
R.I.P. Young and Restless, Good Bye

Do you watch DAYS? It’s exciting!!!!!

I have to ask: Is it official that Esther is gone? If so, it was a TERRIBLE final episode for her. A packed suitcase and a simple word in the “gathering room” of the Chancellor estate? I thought it was demeaning.

I think the story line have gone stupid. And bringing back old characters like Ian and I read they are bringing back Patty just the thought of going back to all that just turned me of and now I don’t even watch no more. It is just plain stupid.

One other thing about Mr. Wise. Whether you liked Ian or not, tip your hat to the actor. He has great things to say about Daytime and a tremendous amount of respect for Y&R. He is not starving for work and he WANTED to return to Genoa City.

Love the scene with Ian/Ray and Phyliss today on Y&R. On the surface he seemed a combo of philosopher and listener…but there was also the subtle undercurrent of the creepy Ian edge. And what was he doing there anyway? The plot thickens.

I have been a fan of Mr Wise since ” Twin Peaks”. Good to see him again!!

Ray Wise is a great actor! Will he bring down Victor finally? I hate to see Adam in the middle of the Paragon Project. Glad Patty is back! She is still so crazy but will spice things up. Poor Sharon. Can’t we make her happy again????? Really!!!!! Nick mistreated her consistently causing her mental problems! Yet he lives seemingly happily ever after. I don’t think Adam hit and killed Billy’s daughter, can’t the truth be revealed?? I am sick of Neil! What happened to his take the high road character? Just another silly storyline to allow for —- Mishael Morgan’s maternity leave I guess. So is Neil leaving GC to be Patty’s roommate at the crazy house? Come on writers!

Just regarding the Ray Wise return. His character was so uncomfortable the last time I could not watch. Of course he is an incredible actor. However, now, he has a wonderful spritely way to his nasty character. Please don’t take it too far. I have laughed at his singing, smiled at his lack of red wine. Please don’t feel you need to engage the Spanish Mafia and potential torture to engage viewers.

Please don’t sully Keven’s and Mariah’s instincts. They appear to be the only intelligent and inquisitive people around.

(INTERVIEW) B&B’s Scott Clifton Chats On His Lead Actor Emmy-Nominated Scenes, Reluctance to Submit for Several Years, and the Honor to be Named with His Co-Stars

The Bold and the Beautiful received 12 Daytime Emmy nominations for the upcoming 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards tied with The Young and the Restless for the most of any show. Of those 12 nods, 7 were acting nominations for its cast. One of the names who made the Lead Actor race was a very familiar face to Emmy voters, and a three-time winner, Scott Clifton (Liam).

For the first-time in the shows 37-year history, three leading actors from the soap made the grade and find themselves up against each other on Emmy night: Clifton, Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) and John McCook (Eric). While Kaye won the 2023 gold statuette in the category and McCook won in 2022, the last time Clifton won in this category was 2017.

Scott also holds the Daytime Emmy record for the only actor to win in all three acting categories: ‘Younger’ in 2011, ‘Supporting’ in 2013 and then the aforementioned ‘Lead’ category. This year, also marks Clifton’s 10th Daytime Emmy nomination, having also picked up nods early in his career for his work as Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital and as Schuyler Joplin on One Life to Live.

On Friday, April 26th, The Bold and the Beautiful held an on set celebration to honor this year’s nominated cast, crew and creatives. When B&B executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell introduced Scott Clifton, as one of the three actors from the series being recognized at Emmy time, Clifton addressed those in attendance.

Scott expressed, “I’m grateful to you, Brad Bell, and this family you created. I know at the end of my life, I’m not going to remember winning Emmys. I’m going to remember that I was nominated alongside John McCook and Thorsten Kaye. That’s what I’m going to remember, and that’s still blowing my mind, on the shoulders of giants doesn’t do it justice. So thank you, for that one.”

Photo: JPI

Following the acknowledgements, Michael Fairman TV caught up with Scott to gain some insight into what scenes he submitted on his Emmy reel, how he feels being back in the Emmy competition an, and more. Here’s what he shared below.

What scenes did you submit that landed you this Lead Actor nomination?

SCOTT: When Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam come back home from Rome. It’s just two episodes in a row. That’s all it was, which was new for me. I’ve never really submitted a reel like that. But, it’s where Liam confronts Hope about kissing Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). It’s a side of Liam I don’t think, at least any Emmy voters have seen before where he’s just an asshole. Of course, he’s hurt and he is angry and he feels betrayed. But, he is sort of toying with Hope, almost. And then it turns into this somewhat cruel interrogation scene. Annika was incredible. It wouldn’t have worked without her performance.

Photo: JPI

It was the scene where Liam is pushing Hope to admit she kissed Thomas, going “C’mon, say it, Hope! Say it with me?”

SCOTT: Correct. Liam’s going, “I want you to say it. You say it.” That’s somewhat in the middle of the reel, and there was just sort of this lead up to that. It ends with Hope kind of pleading and begging to Liam, saying, “I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I still love you.” Liam’s still emotional, but he is saying, “I don’t know how that could be true.” That’s just kind of where it ends. I hadn’t planned on submitting anything. It wasn’t like I was submitting because I thought I had a good year going,”Now, which scenes do I find?” I had multiple people here that I trust, Eva Basler (VP Communications and Talent Relations, B&B) and Rachel Herman (Associate Producer, B&B), come up to me and say, “Just submit those scenes, please.”, I said, “okay.” And I did, and then this happened, which blew me away.

Did you think that, perhaps, would never receive a nomination again in your role as Liam?

SCOTT: I kind of thought the whole ‘Emmy nominations’ were over for me. They gave me three already.

Photo: NATAS

And, you hold the record for the only actor win in the Younger, Supporting and Lead categories.

SCOTT: I know, and now one of those categories doesn’t exist anymore, and that’s a bummer. And then, after that third one, I didn’t get nominated for like five years or something like that.

But in those five years, did you still submit yourself, though?

SCOTT: I fought hard not to because I wanted to give everybody a break and disappear for a while. And that comes from a place of like support and encouragement, but the show really wanted me to submit every year, even when I didn’t feel like I had anything. My argument was, this is a mistake. Emmy voter time is valuable and they don’t want to see something that you’re not totally proud of, and I don’t want to create resentment about me or the show. I would wager to say I was right. Then finally, the last two years, the show said, “OK, fine, you don’t want to submit, you don’t have to submit”. And then this year, the Emmy voters gave me the nomination. I feel good about that.

In the scenes you submitted, Liam wasn’t a doofus. He stood up for himself in it, which was good. He wasn’t going to lay down and let Hope just run over him with her betrayal.

SCOTT: We’ve seen kind of the vulnerable Liam, we’ve seen Liam scrambling to be heard, but he was in control throughout all these scenes. That’s a side that I had not played much before, and that the Emmy voters certainly haven’t seen me do.

Photo: JPI

Now, who do you root for yourself, John McCook or Thorsten Kaye since B&B holds three of the five slots in the Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series this year?

SCOTT: Oh, God. If any one of us gets it, that would be fantastic. Think about it. In terms of game theory, the value in getting an Emmy nomination is that you have a chance of winning an award for the show, right? The more we can get nominations, the more awards we can win. Those are awards for the show. That helps with ratings, it helps with the contract with the network. It’s all good. It inspires Brad to write more. So, I don’t care, honestly, but we have a three out of five chance of getting the show another Lead Actor Emmy which is huge. So, I’m rooting for any one of us.

Who did you first tell that you were Emmy-nominated?

SCOTT:  I was with my girlfriend, Elle. I was getting out of the shower and I’ve got like a towel barely around me and I got a phone call from Eva Basler. Then, Elle, she just saw the look on my face, and she could only hear my side of it, but she was trying to figure out what was going on. Then, I got off the phone and she went, “Did you just get nominated for Emmy?” And I said, “Yeah, I think I did.”

Make sure to tune-in to the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ beginning at 8pm ET/ delayed on the west coast.

Now below, check out some of the moments from the scenes that Scott included in his Emmy-nominated where Liam confronts Hope about her betrayal of kissing Thomas in Rome. Then, let us know, will you be rooting for Scott to take home the Lead Actor Emmy this year? What did you think about his nominated performance? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

Serena Scott Thomas to Days of our Lives, But What Role Will She Play?

Look who’s coming to Salem next? In a tease on their official Instagram account, Days of our Lives has revealed that Serena Scott Thomas has been on set and will debut in an upcoming role, leaving many fans guessing just who might she play.

The English actress and documentary producer has previously starred in Diana, Her Story as Diane Prince of Wales, Dr. Molly Warmflash in the James Bond  film The World Is Not Enough, and played the villainess ‘Watcher” in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Bruce Willis’ wife in the film, Hostages among others.

Serena is the younger sister of Kristen Scott Thomas, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in The English Patient. Several DAYS fans are already weighing in that Serena will play Konstantine’s (John Kaeplos) wife.

Photo: DAYS IG

However, NannyKat 63 may have it all figured out the best, when she posted, that not only will “Serena play Kostantine’s wife,” but the character “had an affair with Victor Kiriakis and got pregnant.” Thus, making Xander (Paul Telfer) her son. She went on to theorize, “Perhaps, And John and Steve will find her in the nick of time… and she’ll enter in time to stop the wedding of Maggie to him. Xander will find out his true identity then. The baby was given to Victor’s brother to be raised in Scotland.”

Photo: JPI

Sounds plausible to us! Another guess came from donnamoore_23 who said, “Ya’ll think he could be Bobberette ‘s mom or sister or .. SOMETHING to do with his story .. someone who can back up what trauma he went through to be so sick? 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I think y’all are right could be Katerina.”

Photo: JPI

Two DAYS stars, Tamara Braun (Ava) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) also shared comments on Serena Scott Thomas’ upcoming appearance on DAYS. Godfrey simply said, “YES!!!! while Braun add her guess, expressing, “Ava’s mum. Oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad. Or was she? 🤔”

So, what do you think? What role will Serena Scott Thomas play on Days of our Lives? Share your theories in the comment section below.

Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain Announce They Have Ended Their Marriage

After much speculation, General Hospital’s Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) and Cady McClain (ex-Jennifer, DAYS, ex-Rosanna, ATWT, ex-Dixie, AMC et al) have officially confirmed and announced they have gone their separate ways and have ended their marriage.

For months on social media, it was clear that the two were seemingly apart, not appearing pictured in any of each others posts.

Now, on a mutually shared Instagram post, Jon and Cady made an official statement on the status of their relationship, beginning with “Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage.”

As to the future, Jon and Cady explained, “We remain friends and wish each other every happiness. As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”

Jon and Cady met when they both appeared on As the World Turns, he as Craig Montgomery, and she as Rosanna Cabot. After four years together, the couple decided to get married in 2014.

Share your well-wishes for Jon and Cady’s separate futures as they ask for privacy on this matter in the months ahead via the comment section below.
