Constance Towers Returns To GH As Helena Cassadine … But Just How Does She Appear?
Now, any General Hospital fan knows that if there is skullduggery and evil going down, Helena Cassadine (whether dead or alive) is usually somehow involved when it comes to the lives of certain people in Port Charles.
And … some major storyline news from TV Line reveals that on next Monday’s August 19th episode of the ABC soap opera, Constance Towers reprises her role as the evil one herself … Helena!
Apparently, look for Helena to appear in a flashback with none other than Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and about Drew Cain’s time in Afghanistan. That scene might hold a key to just what Shiloh wants now that he has implanted Drew’s memories into Franco (Roget Howath), thanks to Dr. Cabot’s work. But could what is revealed also relate to the story that will see Billy Miller (Drew) exit the canvas later this month? Stay tuned.
Viewers last saw Helena alive in story until November of 2016, but then she was part of Jake’s hallucinations that were a part of the chimera storyline that climaxed at the Nurses’ Ball back in May of 2017.
So what do you think Helena’s presence in a flashback will reveal? And, who is ultimately having that flashback? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
Mark Lawson could play Drew…i like Helene/Constance Towers but this terrible mind switch story never really made much sense…i mean what was it suppose to accomplish…because it really accomplished nothing but i will see how this plays out with Helene…
I think it was all done for the departure of Billy Miller as Drew Cain. I for one will not be looking for a replacement.
I wont myself knowing the actor i suggested is obviously playing a new love interest for Lulu
Me either. I will not watch a replacement. To me Billy is Drew.
Hi Timothy
I love Billy Miller also, and I will take him, no matter what name he goes by.
I also love Billy Miller he is a great handsome actor n he will be miss I will miss seeing him as Drew acting with Sam Scout Danny Jake Aiden Cam Monica Elizabeth Kim Josslyn Franco n Curtis
I am so happy that Constance Towers is returning to GH. I want to see her give several Masters Classes on acting.
I wish…she is a class act!
yes she is a classy lady a class act
I also am happy to see her she is a beautiful great actress n maybe this flash back will finally let the fans see that Drew was not involved in with Faison in the memory mapping that he was a victim n that it was Shiloh that drugged Drew n brought him to Helena n Faison in order to get money for bring them Jason’s twin n that it was also away to have Drew not be able to report Shiloh n also to have Drew forget all about Shiloh n what he did
Billy Miller should not go. What a vital character he is. Give him a stronger story line!
Definitely a flashback. I can certify for a fact that Helena has NOT escaped Hell again any time in the recent past!
Quote
Helena Cassadine:
”Oh, go ahead. Defy my wishes.
Embrace happiness when and where you can because your joy is fleeting. My curse is upon you, Nikolas and Emily. Your joy will bring nothing but pain and sorrow to you and yours for as long as you both shall live.”
Helena has Nikolas,,
He will return.
He has to live his curse!!
Helena doesn’t have Nikolas, because I have Helena, and Nik ain’t down here. Now I suppose there’s always the chance he made it into Heaven, but given his turn toward genetic Cassadine darkness in the last couple years of his life, it’s not likely he would get a free pass upstairs. So as the psychics have seemed to confirm, Nikolas is running around somewhere on Earth. His grandma isn’t the one who’s after him, but there are always other Cassadines running around who might want to challenge his claim to be the head of the family, as the last legitimate heir of Mikkos & Helena.
Victor Cassadine probably survived the Crichton Clark fireworks show, but don’t expect to see him anytime soon, as he also survived a nearly identical event in Salem, and is now appearing as Tony DiMera over there.
So what other Cassadines could be out there?? Well, there’s always Nik’s daddy Stavros. Didn’t care much for his last go-round on the show, as ReRon wrote him just a little too cartoonish. But if he returns to the menacing evil presence he was back in 2001, that could be entertaining.
Satan
You mentioning Crichton Clark reminds me that Robin had found, who we all thought was Jason , brought there by Helena.who actually had Drew Cain’s brain remapped, into thinking he was Jason.Help me here! Didn’t Jake say he saw Jason on the island with Some men, who locked him up in a shed? I am assuming that’s what happened to Drew after he was kidnapped. As she said, she was turning him into a killing machine with Jason’s memories. How did Jason turn up in Russua, as patient #??, with Faison being the brains behind all this, but was Helena in cahoots with him? I am SO confused!
They never have bothered to explain all of that. Perhaps this will be done in this upcoming round of Helena flashbacks.
Whatever Jake saw, remember that Drew still had the same face as Jason at the time. He didn’t actually look like Billy Miller until Ava ran over him with a stolen SUV about 5 minutes after Robin brought him to Port Charles. So if the brain mapping took place on Cassadine Island, it’s possible that Jake could have seen Jason, Drew, or both.
Apparently once Helena got the re-programmed Drew, she thought that a trained Navy SEAL, combined with the infused memories of a mob enforcer would be her “ultimate soldier”, so she had no use for the real Jason, who couldn’t be programmed and obviously wouldn’t be taking Helena’s orders. And this is apparently when Faison turned him over to his kid Whiny Heiny who locked him up in Russia and kept him in a drug induced haze & Hannibal Lecter mask for 5 years.
Satan
Thanks for your very precise explanation.Separating these three has made me nuts. Reminds me of the old shell game.I am now reading spoilers that Shiloh is mixed up with Helena. God, could it get any worse?
Now Satan seriously–and I say this with the utmost respect for your, ummm, abilities–but how can you certify anything remotely like that with this particular group of writers and PTB? ANYTHING can happen (currently, in the future, retroactively) with this crew. Minds get swapped, twins get swapped (hell–if you’ll pardon the pun–even people’s personalities get swapped if the story dictates); what’s another back-from-the-totally-dead scenario or two?
If I were you I’d keep an eye on that Helena: she’s slippery even in theoretical-death.
Helena’s escaped from Hell many times. But that’s because the demon guarding the gate was sleeping on the job. Wasn’t really his fault, he had a blood sugar issue that would cause him to nod off after a high carb meal. He sticks to Keto now during working hours, and we have far less security issues.
Helena Cassadine:
”They don’t keep people like us in hell, dear, we’d end up running the place.”
Believe me, she’s tried to do so on occasion!
That you know of
I am so excited for this! Welcome back Constance Towers! Helena is super creepy but the actress is amazing. I will miss Billy Miller deeply but hopefully he can come back one day. I want to know about Andrew Cain’s past.
I totally agree!
I’ll come back If Billy returns as Drew
There is a lot to learn about A.C’s past from the time Betsy Frank dumped him at the orphanage.
agree hopefully we will get all the answers n Drew will finally thru Franco know about his past n then hopefully Franco helps Jason take down Shiloh n Franco finally returns to being Franco n everyone finally sees how much due to Elizabeth n her love he has changed for the best n it would be great if Cam due to his real dad being dead that he asked Franco to adopt him – that would be great love Roger he is a handsome awesome actor
I said it before n I will say it again Shiloh was the one who kidnapped Drew to bring to Faison n he may have brought Drew to Helena first that was why Drew/Jason was on the island where her henchmen beat Drew/Jason n that was when Jake saw him with the men n Helena
Let’s get this straight Constance towers is pure class but she is showing her age let’s move on has she been dead 26 times????
She will probably haunt the hell out Heyden when she goes back alone to Windemere to do some more snooping.
Helena will appear as a ghost she is still dead. I read it on tv line website. According to soap central, ABC is in talks to bring back OLTL And AMC, the timing right now is the factor. If they cancel Sara and Michael, this season. This rumour could be a reality. Read it on soap central.
i heard about it too…
Yes Jim let’s hope AMC and OLTL come back, I believe in good karma, versus bad karma. If they come back it better be good. Miracles do happen.
as for Sara n Michael being canceled haven’t hear anything about it in Sept at 10am another talk show in place of Racheal Ray n Rachael Ray’s new show time is abc at 2pm so unless AMC & OLTL are going to be half hour shows if they are to go on n take Sara n Michaels place n iam sure it will be a whole new cast unless there are a few of the regulars coming back kind of think it wont be the same AMC & OLTL that we all knew n love with a different cast they did that with OLTL with Prospect Park they had a few regulars n a lot of new people n it just didn’t seem the same they had Victor Jr Tea n Todd n it was a little crazy Victor had just come back from being held prisoner by crazy Alice Perkerson n he went to see Tea n then he told her that he had to leave cause the cult was after him n once he left Tea pleaded with Todd to go find him she had just found out she was pregnant with Victor’s baby -it didn’t last long
She’s only in a flashback? Someone want to explain to me how seeing a great actress who plays a deliciously evil character appear only in a flashback can be great news? Constance/Helena should be back to drive alot of story and conjure up more evil things!!! This is just ok news for me.
Let one Helena man keeping her alive by they heard about Dr Rolf kipnapp him to bring her to life
Huh?
LOL That makes absolutely no sense. You must be a GH writer LOL.
Did you read that in Dr. ROLFE’S diary?Ha!
Considering the whole Dr. Rolf “secret medical facility which brought people back from the dead, and then suddenly blew up” storyline was a virtual copy of the Crichton Clark thing (both stories written by ReRon, naturally) I wouldn’t be surprised if Helena & Rolfie had crossed paths somewhere.
Possibly even here in Hell! Both have definitely been here more than once.
I don’t suppose Helena could bring back Stavros (Robert Kelker-Kelly) for a visit
Contrary to popular belief, Stavros is NOT here in Hell. Yes, he has a habit of falling into supposedly “bottomless” holes (that’s how he’s left the show twice now) but not every such hole is a direct portal to Hell!
As far as I know, Stavros is keeping himself well hidden up there on Earth. He might well have been the person who helped whatsherface escape from WSB custody – all we saw was a man’s hand with a Cassadine ring on it – and since she has since resurfaced long enough to poison Mikey’s girlfriend, you might very well see Stavros show up. And if the psychic was right about Nikolas (also not down here) being “in danger”…. well, he & his daddy never really got along, so that would answer that question as well.
Please NO MORE HELENA…HER STORYLINES SO BORING AND UNREALISTIC….Im done with GH
Isn’t the handsome man Helena is dealing Drew to actually Jax
