Dominic Zamprogna Making A Return To General Hospital
After posting a photo from an empty dressing room, Dominic Zamprogna certainly had General Hospital fans interest piqued! Turns out, Zamprogna is back shooting at the ABC daytime drama series for what it appears to be a short appearance and reprising his role as Dante Falconeri.
As fans know, Dominic departed GH in 2018, after 9 years in the role. In the photo he posted on social media, Zamprogna is in one of GH’s temporary dressing rooms for the day. His original dressing room was re-assigned to Josh Swickard (Chase), when Dom exited the show.
The last time viewers saw Dante was in the Sonny-centric episode; where Dante is the mobster and Sonny is by the book.
In current GH story, the character of Dante has been recently mentioned following his wife, Lulu (Emme Rylan) being stabbed by serial killer, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Dante’s parents, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) also discussed his whereabouts. Dante had gone undercover on a major case after leaving Port Charles.
From all reports, it seems that Dominic is making a short return, but it will be more than just a one-day stint. So, stay tuned.
So, will Dante return to Lulu’s side? Do you hope Dominic’s return means more down the line? Comment below.
I wish he could bring back Nathan (somehow) and they both take down Ryan. to have naxie and lante- the awesome foursome together again would be….AWESOME!!
For the sake of a character driven storyline which pays fidelity to story history, I would rather Felicia and Mac be the ones to take down Ryan.
This will wrap it up..
Dominic has left GH ..
I highly doubt he will return..
His short appearance will be his exit.
He/Dante left without leaving, so to say..
Lulu and Dante are done, kaput ..
I can only wish he will take Lulu and her spiteful, narcotic, mentally unstable obsessive revengeful bitch mother with her.
Looking forward to seeing Dominic again, I’ve always liked him..
wow ! I often wonder when I read comments like this “why do you watch the show ?”
Oh, su000! How many ways can I say how disappointed I am in your words “spiteful, narcotic (?), mentally unstable obsessive revengeful bitch mother,” referring, it appears, to Lulu’s mother Laura.
You have said you don’t care for the character of Laura–but your words so (Su?) inaccurately characterize her that they are shocking!
What gives?
Hi Nancy how you doing? well I hope–
Laura always has a hate obsession going be it Valentin, Franco, whoever.
I see her as a Lunatic/unstable and she should seek help.
We just see her differently (my way is correct haaa!)
‘and Lulu, like mother like daughter’ ..
get this– the Willow character- I see her as the Flying Nun bawaa! she is weird, not to mention oddly bland..
you have to agree with that, yes 🙂
Speaking of obsessions, Anna has had one forever with Faison but she dismisses anything he or Lisel has done. They both have terrorized Anna for years and Lisel brain should be next to Faisons! Where is the revenge Anna? She has turned soft, especially with the Lizard Man!
Hi Tmmm..
yes, Anna was off the rails with her Faison obsession, not to mention, her obsession/weird stuff, mental breakdown thing going on for a year! when Duke died; Anna has never returned from that one…
Strange how GH creates obsessed kookoo women aha!
Oh, su…That’s what I said, too……Willow is absolutely sans spunk or personality. She’s awful—not a good representation of a teacher; I take offense ( kidding). LOL…..
maybe, it’s the storyline with the baby drama. Why can’t a woman give birth without adverse consequence for once, on a soap? Baby switching is so droll and mundane–we are not supposed to solve the problem before a problem even exists. All these babies either disappear and come back as adults; or are switched at birth, and then discover their true parentage.
Oh, oh, wait….Do you agree that Willow will turn out to be Nina’s HaHa…..what are you thinking? Not again, Celia? Wasn’t Kiki enough? Hmmmm.❤️
Who are you talking about? Laura is not all that. She’s a hero. Get a grip, will you?
Ryan should kill Lulu, Dante and Laura and JJ and Tony return and blow Ryan to smithereens!
hi Timmm !!
I agree, Ryan should kill Lulu & Laura..
but- who is JJ and Tony?
Laura will probably kill Ryan with an ax, give him 40 wacks LOL
Johnathan Jackson and Tony Geary.
Timmm–
Ok- now I got it ..
Whoa…. How is Laura spiteful, neurotic, mentally unstable, obsessive OR vengeful? Are we watching the same show?
Wow, that was harsh, Suoo. I never saw Laura as being a bitch, obsessive or vengeful either. She is a protective Mama Bear but I always appreciated that about her. Narcotic? Do you mean, neurotic?
That was my guess also–BUT agree with you–Laura IS a protective Mama Bear–not any of those other characterizations. What happened to Su00 to turn her so bitter, you suppose? 🙁
Hi hatty, it’s been a while.. good to hear from you.
Yes! I did mean ”neurotic” need to it get right in her description lol.
Laura is an obsession character– she’s like a rabid bulldog with a bone she won’t let go of when she is in revenge mode{ Franco, Valentin for two’ she is obsessed with them, yuppers!
Well, Valentin did kill her son (as far as anybody knows) and until very recently she had every reason to believe Frodd tried to kill her daughter. So I would think vengeful thoughts against them would be completely justified.
I feel like this is a tease to try and lure him back full-time. But, if he doesn’t, I recommend a full-time recast by the middle of the year.
LOL, su….you haven’t met me…I obsess about anything and everything concerning my kids……that’s what happens when one loses a child–one become overprotective. Laura is simply your typical, loving mother-hen.
Hi Celia.
Laura isn’t mother anything toward Valentin and Franco, she’s wacko obsessed and vengeful crazy lol ..
(it’s all make-believe __
your kids are LOVE ..
I didn’t know you lost a child, my heart breaks for you..
ahh I teared up!
Thank you❤️
SuOOO
I tend to agree with most of your comments/opinions, but this Laura bashing is really over the top. She has never been one of my favorites, especially her falling in love and marrying her rapist.
Agreeing with Celia, as a mother, gr.mother, and gr.gr.grandmother, I would most certainly, definitely never forgive or give the benefit of the doubt to someone who killed my son ( as far as we know, Valentin killed Nickolas) and Franco strapped her daughter Lulu to a bomb, don’t remember if he actually raped Maxie and actually stole her grandson, as a newborn, giving him to Betsy Frank, and the list goes on. No wonder she hates these two men. Now sans tumor, so many of us love and sympathize with Franco. He’s turned his life around but it would be hard for a mom to just forgive and forget. I know I couldn’t.
Funny how someone like Ava Jerome, who cold bloodedly kills a woman, plus all the other atrocious things she’s done, is put up on a pedestal by so many fans. Go figure, huh?
Will it take Dante to unmask Ryan?
It sure in the hell will not be Jordan!
Either he is killed off or his mother…its just a rumor that one of them is…i thought Spenser unmasks Ryan…then the real Kevin shows up with Laura holding a gun on both not knowing which is which is how i prefer it!!!
That would be perfect!!! Spencer’s got his number! Love that kid!
Awwww!!!!….Really, Jimmy? I love Olivia—however, if Dante is off the show, he would be the perfect candidate as Ryan’s next victim, albeit, it may be Valerie. Too bad for Olivia, if true—or Valerie, but I will see Brytni on Y&R.
Spencer is a great guess….or Laura. I think that would be Ryan’s just deserts( I know most say desserts, Jimmy—but it really is ‘deserts’. LOL) for making her go through his obnoxious merry-go-round. I never realized what a strong person Laura is—-has been holding it together since forever—-she has every right to get in Valentin’s face. Franco? Well, we can’t really blame her for rushing to judgment—I blame the PC PD. Will Laura figure it out? I do want it to be her…..with Dante’s help? Will he be killed trying to rescue his mother?
I hope Laura does pull a gun on Ryan—not kill him; that’s too easy!! ❤️
Peter is really Anna’s nephew-her sister Alex is Peter’s mom…and Sasha is really Britts daughter or her sister!!!
So, if Sasha is Brett’s sister, is Liesl her mother, too, Jimmy? OOOO, I like that!! Great irony, considering Liesl knows Sasha is not Nina’s and the fact that she holds so much resentment towards Sasha. What a bombshell that would be for all concerned!!
Alex has a son, Aiden ( AMC) —soooo hot. I wish TPTB would resurrect him…..but, yeah, I guess Alex could have another son. It would make so much sense….everyone confuses the twins, anyway. Wouldn’t it be something if Griffin were Faison’s and Anna’s son? I mean, let’s go all out—everything in P.Charles is inconceivable, anyway. Pardon the pun.❤️
It sure looks as if they’re killing off Olivia. Just a guess, I’m not privy to spoilers
Nah, we thought they’d kill Griffin and they didn’t. I really wouldn’t miss Olivia that much but she’s probably too connected to Sonny to actually die.
That would give Dante another reason to resurface and Liv is useless since Ned is barely around!
Yes, I have always loved Dominic in his role of Dante…
BTW, have Dominic (Dante) stick around and be the one to figure out that Kevin is actually Ryan…
Hey, Kevin,
I guess we’re on the same wave-length. That thought crossed my mind, as well.❤️
Great minds think alike Celia, ha ha…
For sure, my friend! LOL.❤️
Since the actor has clearly moved on, let’s hope he’s returning to be Ryan’s final victim.
I’m a big fan of UK soaps too.. US soaps are sort of like UK soaps on Scientology, the stupidity factor along with the emotional immaturity (sorry, but I still can’t get the image of Tom bouncing on Oprahs couch…out) really is the reason our shows are not earning like they did back in the day.
Yes here’s hoping and fingers crossed that Dominic returns as he is the one and only Dante! This murder case would be solved if he was there! Miss Dominic’s talent a lot on the show!!!
If I were a betting man, I would say Dante is coming back to attend a funeral. Maybe his mom? Just my thoughts.
In the dressing room pic that was posted all over the net, there was clothing hanging from a hook on the door which looked like a policeman’s “dress blue” uniform. It would be the type of thing a cop would wear to a funeral, but it wouldn’t be his mom’s funeral, as she’s not a cop.
It would more likely be a fallen officer. We know that Valerie Spencer is probably not going to be around much longer (actress is going to Y&R) so it’s possible she could be killed in the line of duty, perhaps by Ryan. Jordan is also apparently going to be attacked by Ryan, though I haven’t heard anything about her being killed off.
Of course the funeral could be Dante’s. A cop killed in the line of duty would probably be buried in his dress uniform. That would suck if they killed him off like that. Sonny’s had it bad enough already, between Morgan’s alleged death, Mike’s Alzheimer’s disease, and Krissy going full on Moonie with the Dawn of the Dead cult (or whatever it’s called) If he loses another kid he’s going to have to go full on mob war on somebody just to feel “normal” again.
Yeah, this is all unholy speculation on my part, but one of the above seems like the only logical ways this return would go.
Not sure I like this. yes, it’ll be great to have Dante back but for only a short bit? That’s not sitting well with me seeing as how he is supposed to be married to Lulu. any what about his son? I’ll watch but not expecting a whole lot from this part of the story.
He’s been really missed. So we lose Dante but keep Lulu? Life is unfair.
Right, Harry? I thought he’d stay for good…..but, Dante will just be breezing through. Was it Dominick’s choice to leave? Can’t remember.
I will keep my peace about Lulu, Harry…..except to say that she’s a reporter without a story.
KEEP HIM ON THE SHOW PLEASE!
I don’t think it’s their decision, especially since it was HIS decision to leave.
Bring Dante back permanently. The whole storyline was BS. Out of the blue he leaves his whole family to go undercover. Especially when he promised his best friend he would help take care of his child. Please fix this.
Man, I’ve missed him. But I can’t blame Dom for leaving because he never got a decent story line. He has huge talent, though. I wish the writers would give him some good crime stories to work with.
Man, I’ve missed Dom and Dante. If only the writers had given him a meaty story to work with. I’d like to see him team up with Laura, his MIL, and solve the Ryan case. But I doubt the writers will let the PD be smart. Ever.
I wish they could come to some sort of an agreement to keep him on the show. He’s such a talent. GH needs a stable couple like Dante and Lulu (well, as stable as they can be on a soap). Plus, Dom is a terrific actor! It’s such a shame that this is short term, if that’s really the case. I feel a rant coming on, so I’ll stop. Just keep him on the show!
Why doesn’t GH recast the role?
Yes. I love DZ and the Dante character. When sonny shot him it was some of these GH ever. There is so much history and love to build
On with him. I hope they realize they made a mistake not giving the character enough story.
I don’t know why …. “fans” or posts do not comment on how the tentacles of just how blatant, obvious, AND just the ridiculousness of watching just how “reaching” the characters of Sonny and Carly are all over the place… for naught ? they emote no emotion worth all the air time.
for ONE thing… it’s so gnawing watching Carly befriending and now BFF with Laura ???? with Laura now being the mayor AND , accordingly, will be all over the show… I guess… after she gets laid. i’m “meh” on Kevin coming back AND having to “support” his wife as Kevin has always done.. in this Disneyland marriage… with the antics of Spencer, has a better role with Laura than Kevin does.
GOD I am so sick of how Kristina is stomped on, more like shit on… as they all lament.. how Kristina is so naïve, ignorant, put upon, doesn’t know right from wrong… AND what makes me upchuck is watching that old breasted upper crusted “Sam” to the rescue. ad nauseum NO? GOD – watching “Jason” EVEN dear old crusty “Sonny” carry on how weak Kristina is, in the clutches of gorgeous Shiloh. i’m going to upchuck , because Sam “broke” up w/Jason… will we see a sick rushed engaged two some ? Shiloh and Sam… OH MY GOD
just what has this “do drop INN” with an open mind done? Daisy is sending emails to Sam… who is so violated ? PUHLEASE. dag tho … ! the chemistry with Shiloh and Drew…. HOT ME OUT . the erotic undertones !!!! MORE please
it’s just TOO WEIRD watching Carly and Jason as BFF… should she have asked for details.. when Jason thrilled her telling her the 6 year wait is now in the bag ? can she tell Sonny? as Spinelli asks if he can tell Lulu. anyway… it’s just too much overkill… watching Carly BFF with Laura , Sam, even Drew…
I mean, COME ON.. who thought the scenes with Carly and Sam sharing coffee, was so forced and unreal.. as Sam gives a valentines card with hearts to Carly from Danny. could you believe it… how Carly shares that it’s just not Danny style to be so cardsy artsy fartsy… oh no.. Sam exclaims.. how Danny is always up in the attic at the Q manse… just like our Jason. SWEET NOTHING.
I’ve packed enough in without bringing up how forced Dr. Finn with Anna; Franco with Liz… are overbearing with such bad acting by Michael Easton and Roger Howarth… OLTL.. well certainly not any time soon now are they?
Oh, my gosh, Patrick—oh, no you “di-in’t’–“shit on… cardsy artsy fartsy”… well, that did it…..laughing my head off.
Danny in the Q attic? Is Scout there, too? All these invisible kids.
By the by? You have described each character to the letter.
Now, Carly is pregnant. Are these writers nuts? She and Sonny are grandparents—you’d think they would practice the art of birth control by now?
Hmmmm…..unless Laura Wright is pregnant in real life and the pregnancy will be, as so many before her, par for the course.
PS. I never thought that I would hold so much antipathy for both Finn and Anna…. considering they are two of my favorite soap-stars!! I guess a more fitting word would be, disappointed.
And, oh, Sonny seems to be coming undone…..in another world….he looked not only, out of sorts, but also disheveled….. I guess his father’s illness, Morgan’s death, his unsavory life as a mobster, and the “mostest” hardship of all: ta-da….being married to an overbearing, lamentable harpy. ( I love you Laura). LOL.
Correction….practise ( verb), not practice( noun)…..
Dante/Dominic is very much NEEDED on GH, for more than a week, a month or a year. MAKE IT WORK FRANK ‼️

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.
The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.
The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW
As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.
O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”
Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”
You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.
Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.

Television Academy and NATAS Open Reunification Talks After Split Almost 50 Years Ago

In what could prove to be a massive shake-up ahead, both the TV Academy (ATAS), who presides over the Primetime Emmys, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), who preside over the Daytime Emmys, are in exploratory reunification discussions to merge the two organizations into one.
Both sides received an overwhelming vote and support from their boards to evaluate what a unified Academy could look like. However there is no formal calendar at this juncture for the discussions. In addition, because of the ongoing unification talks that should occur, the TV Academy board has voted to extend all current sitting Governors’ terms by one year so they can see the process through.
Boards at both organizations voted overwhelmingly to evaluate what a unified Academy could make possible: a strong vision for the Academy’s future, more effective thought leadership for the industry, broader service and support for members coast-to-coast, and new momentum and opportunities across the full complement of national Emmy competitions.

AFTER NEARLY 50 YEARS, CAN THE EMMYS BE UNDER ONE BANNER?
In a joint statement, ATAS and NATAS shared, “Television remains the most powerful medium we have to shape culture and prompt conversations that define us—no matter the size of the screen, With the business of television undergoing such a monumental transformation, this is the right moment to explore a reunification of our Academies, providing our members and our industry with a bolder voice advocating for them and a stronger partner to navigate the future with them.”
If the reunification talks continue, this would be the first time since the two Emmy organizations split back on June 30, 1977 that they have tried to come together, all of this after almost three decades of often uneasy and strained tension between the two.
The most recent joint change came in 2022 when a move of the game show categories went from NATAS to ATAS’ and now are in the Primetime Emmys.
Deadline notes that a unification of the two television academies who overall preside over nighttime and daytime programming would be similar how SAG and AFTRA used to represent performers from completely different dayparts of work.
Could the Daytime Emmys finally see some love in primetime and have their major categories televised as part of the annual kudofest every September? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place live on Monday, September 14th starting at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT and air on NBC and stream on Peacock emanating from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. While, the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on Friday, October 30, time to be announced, live from the Hollywood Palladium and will be streamed on watchtheemmys.tv
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is a service organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy Awards for News & Documentary, Sports, Daytime and Children’s & Family programming, as well as achievements in television Technology & Engineering.
The Television Academy (ATAS) strives to shape and advance the dynamic television landscape; cultivate a diverse, inclusive and accessible professional community; and advocate for the television industry while capturing the spirit of a new generation of content creators and industry professionals. Through innovative programs, publications and events, the Academy and its Foundation foster and empower storytellers. The Academy also celebrates those who excel in the industry recognizing their achievements through awards and accolades, including the renowned Emmy Award. Membership in the Academy is open to working professionals in the television industry.
So, would you like to see the Primetime Emmy and the Daytime Emmys fold into one show if the two unions reached a unification arrangement? Do you hope that after almost 50 years, the two organizations can finally make some serious headway? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
