GENERAL HOSPITAL: Peter Kidnaps Louise and Escapes, Timing Puts a Wrecking Ball to Carly & Sonny’s Marriage

Friday’s episode of General Hospital brought it with some very juicy cliffhangers.  One again, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) lives to see another day, escapes the cops, and goes on the run with his daughter, Louise in tow!

This all goes down after Peter is being transported to Pentonville for his crimes.  But the van crashes, (when actually it was a set up – the tires were punctured). Mac  (John J. York) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are on the scene, and then they get shot at. Mac is severely injured, Dante not so much, but both are taken to GH.

Meanwhile, after Austin (Roger Howarth) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) kiss, he is very suspicious of Maxie’s intent because it’s now all out in the open that he knows what happened the night Louise was born and given to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to take care of.

At the Q’s, Brook Lynn and Chase (Josh Swickard) are fighting their attraction to one another, then nearly giving in with a big kiss, when the phone rings for Chase. It’s Dante from the hospital telling him that Peter escaped.  When Chase relates this to Brook Lynn, she freaks and hightails it to the nursery and wouldn’t you know .. Bailey AKA Louise is gone!  The final shot of the episode is Peter with Louise telling her nothing will ever keep them separated again!

While all this is playing out, Sonny (Maurice Benard), decked in white tuxedo with new wedding bands for he and Carly (Laura Wright), is waiting for his wife to show up for his planned night with her at the Haunted Star.  Sonny wants to show Carly how much he loves her. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) finds Sonny on the deck and is concerned for her dad, but reassures him that Carly will see the lengths he has gone too, in order to make a perfect evening for her. Sonny tells Kristina he just wants to make things right between them.

But thanks to Kristina’s interpretation of a call she places to Carly, she literally drives a wrecking ball into the marriage of her father and Carly.  An upset Kristina tells Carly, who is on the bridge talking with Drew (Cameron. Mathison), trying to determine if she should meet Sonny at the Haunted Star, that Sonny is waiting for her, and will be heartbroken if she doesn’t show up and to just meet him half way, and listen to what he has to say.  Carly says “She can’t do this right now.”

Drew, who is now the new sounding board for Carly, since Jason is “dead”, tells Carly that although she needs time and space from Sonny, and he understands she is justified in feeling that way, he believes this is all a cry for help from Sonny.  If she goes to meet him, she’s not caving in to what Sonny wants, but throwing him a lifeline.

Next, Kristina heads back to the boat to be there for Sonny and tells him Carly’s not coming to meet him and that she is not willing to meet him half-way.  Then, Kristina heads to Charlie’s where none other than Liesl (Kathleen Gati) overhears her on the phone telling someone that Sonny’s alone. Liesl next informs Nina (Cynthia Watros), who she had been talking with at the bar, and Nina decides to head to the Haunted Star.  Later, Nina shows up and Sonny sees her.

At the hospital, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) tells Maxie (Kirsten Storms) that things don’t look good for Mac, and he is headed into surgery and Austin tells Maxie that Peter is out there somewhere as he has escaped being transported to prison.

My dog Cerberus really misses his favorite chew toy. Somebody needs to send Whiny Heiny back to Hell NOW. And send Nina down with him, as she no longer serves any useful purpose. If you tell her Nelle is down here, she’ll probably go voluntarily.

I wish someone would send them back on an express ticket!!!

Neither serves any purpose, and hell is where they both belong.

Well. You Devil, you—looks like ( as I knew would happen) Sonny/Mike and Nina are hooking up.
Fake Drew( his and Sam’s inaudible, weird voices so make me want to scream), and stomp-stomp Carly will also be a couple.
Oh, Carly—you’re accusing Sonny of loving both you and Nina—-well, you’ve been doing the same throughout your entire marriage to mini-me. There has been a third person hanging in the shadows—Jason. He will return. Then what? A threesome again? You, Drew and Jason. ‘Round and ’round we go. Same boring circle; same boring story; different boring guy.
I would think that at this point in their lives, these people would stop the hanky panky and act their age!! I guess there’s no shortage on viagra.

I’d like to see a scene where Peter had to first go to Target to spend about $1000 bucks on baby gear for the baby he’s about to kidnap. His kid. Does he have a car seat? Diapers? Wipes? Bottles? (I’m assuming he can’t breastfeed! Lol!) Crib? Stroller? Pacifier? Baby clothes?
Of course not. Unless he stole the entire Q nursery along with the baby?

This isn’t a cliffhanger; they’re fun. This is an extension of pain. Peter outlasted his welcome, and meager acting ability, years ago. This is frustration on the highest level– Peter wins again! In a pandemic, I don’t need more depression, thank you. The only bright spot: Dante is front & center at yet another PC Police/WSB screw-up. Given Peter’s litany of crimes and his association with Mr. Cassadine, the National Guard should have been there. Of course, Chase and Brook Lynn will be blamed. More boredom! Even so, it’s better than manic Sonny’s Cheshire Cat grin. Ugh!

If Sonny was on his meds and reational, he could finf Peter and bring justice for Maxi and Louise. Nina should stoo listening to everyone oushing to Sonny and if he wants her he will reach out. Caryl. Should get off her high horse and just listen long enough to Sonny and stop punishing him for being Mike, at least Mike had amnesia and didn’t sleep with Nina. Caryl had just as many feelings for Jasin as Mike had for Nina.
Who really can’t see through Victor and Esme?

BLQ & Chase were at Jax’s beach house – not the Q mansion.

Why weren’t Mac or Dante wearing bulletproof vests?

Best part of episode was closing cast credits that no longer had Wes Ramsey listed in contract section. Hopefully that means Heinrik’s reign of ridiculousness is nearing its completion.

I believe that 99% of the audience is sick to death of Peter August and want him dead and gone forever. Why do TPTB keep on insisting on having him win all the time? Wes Ramsey really ought to have grown a mustache to twirl as he now resembles a silent film villain ready to tie a woman to railroad tracks. He has way past his expiration date. Personally I wish they would do a “Murder on the Orient Express” ending for Peter, with everyone taking turns killing him once and for all – and getting away with it with no consequences for doing such a great service for the audience of GH!

Meanwhile, anything that breaks up Sonny and Carly, my least favorite couple, is a great thing. While Nina deserves so much better than that egotistical man-child brat Sonny, I prefer her to Carly 100%. Self-righteous disgusting Carly deserves to be alone. I loved Mike and Nina but not Sonny and Nina. I hope that makes sense!

AGREE!!!

I’m done. The Peter story line is maddening. Can’t stand the character nor stand the the actor. He isn’t a good actor, he’s on the show because he’s Laura Wright’s boyfriend.
Tired of the whole keeping Sonny and Carly apart too.

Stopping watching the show until the get rid of the Peter character and get Sonny and Carly back together.

Both of these storylines need to be wrapped up pronto. They are dragging out both of these storylines way too long.

I LOVED Friday’s episode! And I’m probably one of the few who think Wes Ramsey has been wonderful as Peter. I am sick to death of the character but not Wes. My hope is that since it is SWEEPS, someone plugs Peter for good and we get a good old-fashioned who-dunnit out of this. It’s been way too long since any show has been able to produce a good one in which the writers knew from the beginning who the murderer was; one that had a beginning, middle and end. Too often in recent years, any attempt at a who-dunnit was scrambled so many times with characters and plot points being twisted into ridiculous knots that the story was a snooze. This character has the whole town against him, especially now that he kidnapped Louise and is responsible for Mac getting shot. (Mac better live!) Lets see have it GH writers!!!!

The only problem with a “who-dunnit” murder mystery with Whiny Heiny….

…is that nobody would care. Unless Laura wanted to know their identity so she could give them the key to the city (or whatever symbol of honor they hand out for heroic acts in Port Charles)

I doubt Mac (as police commissioner) would have given a damn about Heiny’s “due process” even before he got shot, and even less so now. Mac has a history of not always being a “by the book” cop if the criminal’s vile enough. (see the Pierce Dorman story from 1997, for example).

Don’t need a mystery with Heiny…. just need him back in Hell!

The nine lives of Peter August—the most irritating, unfavorable, skin-crawling, stomach-churning, unattractive, repulsive derelict on TV. There’s nothing endearing about him. At least, I got a kick out of Faison, as demented as he was….
Get rid of this guy already—-Stop the farce. Stop the agony. Please!!
(Aside–I must say, I am enjoying the baby. So cute!! No crying…..so even-tempered—playing with her little blankie.)

I thought I saw Peter move after death—I did….I did….I saw Peter move after death….

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Courtesy/ABC

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair

Published

By

After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!

In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.

Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.

MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP

Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!

At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

Courtesy/ABC

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY

Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”

LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER

In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

So, what do you think of Michael’s plan to push Willow and Chase into an affair? Will it work or backfire? Do you think Joss will reveal that Valentin is the man sleeping with Carly to Brennan, which will send him in a rage? Will Lulu continue to be clueless about “Nathan?” Weigh-in via the comment section below. But first, take a look at the GH video tease for today’s April 30 episode.
