GENERAL HOSPITAL: Robin Pops Up As Jake's Conscience As Samtrick Hits The Sheets!

Courtesy/ABC
Kimberly McCullough (Robin) made a return to General Hospital on Monday’s episode of the ABC daytime drama. But this time, it wasn’t Robin in reality real time, or Robin MIA somewhere in “Paris” in the clutches of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), but in the mind of Jason AKA Jake (Billy Miller)!
As Jake is doing the bidding for Helena as her “Soldier Boy” and is set to kill Sam (Kelly Monaco) … his wife his upstairs having sex in the bed they once shared for the first time with Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson!
After seeing a picture of Sam, Jason (an image of Steve Burton) and Danny altogether, Jake starts to have some memories, but can’t put his finger on them. All of a sudden Robin is in the room with him! But as she explains to the lost man, she is in his mind and not really there with him. Robin clearly gives Jake some clues as to who he is, and his relationship to Sam and her little boy. Jake explains that he has been programmed by Helena. Robin tries her best to steer him in the right direction, before she vanishes. Jake is caught off guard when Helena interrupts their “conversation” and then tells him to kill both Sam and Patrick!
Meanwhile after making love, and making a pact to be open with each other if they need to talk about Robin or Jason, Patrick says sweetly to Sam: “We’re not blank slates, but that’s OK. Jason and Robin made us who we are, and to be honest, I like this place where we are now.” To which Sam replies, “Me, too.”
So, what did you think of Robin popping up to guide Jason AKA Jake? Were you surprised or frustrated by it? What did you think of Billy Miller’s emotional performance in the episode? And, what did you think of the sex scenes of Samtrick? Glad they have taken their relationship to the next level? Weigh-in below!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

Nooooooooo!!! Not her. Go back to your “directing classes,” Kimberly McCullough. You know the ones you’ve been taking for the past 17 years.
17 years? ?
Yep. She left “General Hospital” at the end of 1998 to begin some directing classes at some esteemed directing academy.
And it’s now 2015 and she is still using that damned excuse. She better be one heck of a director if/when she graduates.
Nooooooo you are mistaken….Kimberly is a great actress, it’s the writer that sux.
Just to clarify Kimberly left in 1996 to go to college, took time off a few years later and came back to the show before leaving in 1999 and returning full-time in 2005. At some point she became interested in directing and left GH in 2012 to pursue it. She’s currently doing a directing fellowship with ABC.
Hate the writing, dislike Robin, the actress, whatever; but don’t mock someone for studying something they have a passion and talent for. She’s a good director, you should check out some of her work.
Like Dorothy said in OZ..people come and go so quickly here…
I don’t think she has vCard wanted to direct that long. She went to AFI for a while, has directed some shorts, and is now in the Disney program. Just directed some eousodes of one of the teen shows. I love having her back, they just are not writing her well
I hate smoosh names or whatever they are called and “Samtrick” has got to be the worst. It sounds like a hockey term or something.
ditto, I feel the same, Samtrick definitely doesn’t sound pleasant to me. I was just thinking that, too.
I hate those squished names too..
Sounds like senile grownups talking like kindergarten kids in on the playground say neener neeres.. ahaa.
(grown ups talking like that is so not right) no adult should ever use those neener terms they are for preschool children, oh well lol
I mean no disrespect but I can’t help but think Sam would make a great sex surrogate.
I just hope Robin doesn’t decide to haunt Patrick’s conscience right as he hits the sheet with his sex surrogate.
I mean, Holy Deflation Batman!
Well, guys, anything with the word ‘Sam’ cheapens things for me. To me, “Samtrick” evokes images of Sam ‘turning tricks’…. Is that ok to say, or did I just commit a ‘my bad’?
Oh CeeCee, have at it! Although Ms. Morgan is alright by me, I understand that Sam is to you as Sappy and Grossalie (okay, and Alexis….) are to me. We all have those characters who serve as irksome inspirations for our catty comments. Nothing wrong with that!!!!
Sounds like a razor…’Try the new Samtrick for a close shave’…lol
I prefer;
Patrick and Sam ..
( name squishing is juvenile, really it is …. just look at how stupid squishing names looks/sounds lol ..
“The Samtrick”….sounds like an exotic bedroom maneuver. I suppose given their vast range of experience, if anyone could come up with something new and original, it would be Sam and Patrick!
We could call them Pam. Or not.
@rebecca1….I considered “Pamantha,” but decided it rather conjured up images of a feral creature who roams the Serengeti! Then, I also thought for a moment about mashing surnames: perhaps “Mordrake” or “Dragan?” However, I soon realized those combos sounded too akin to members of a Medieval cult! Soooo….I guess Sam and Patrick, it is!!!!
Rebecca1, as much as I detest the squish names (as I previously stated), YOUR suggestion makes the most sense especially in light of the fact that it is the shortest and, isn’t what this smooshing them together is supposed to be about? Too lazy to write out the whole name so we can say one word. “Pam” is short and sweet. I remember when there were rumors of Liz and Patrick getting together they were calling them “Piz.”
Notwithstanding, I hate those lazy names and how lazy this country has become. 🙁
Touche’, Domino!….I’ve never been a fan of those “shipper” names, either, although they do admittedly come in handy here at MFSoaps when referring to a couple….I only grudgingly accept them for the sake of expediency in certain situations, despite the fact they sound so juvenile,. Having said that, “Pam” may be short and sweet, but it also reminds me of that greasy cooking spray….ick! Not exactly a romantic connotation for one of GH’s hottest couples. (However, I shall concede it is better than “Piz”…..which is too too close to an unmentionable word….or those retro candies that are fed to us from bizarre dispensers!) Lastly, your observation about the laziness that pervades this country is spot on…and it only keeps getting worse, because it has become so profitable for those who participate!!! (That last comment of yours sounds like something my favorite character, Dr. O. would have said….I just love when she prefaces one of her cultural slams at us with “You Americans….” Perhaps because she is usually right!!!)
Robin has always befriended Jason and why shouldn’t she be in his subconscious to help him along the way. Billy Miller ‘s actions during the scenes were an emotional panorama. I have never been a fan of Sam and Patrick together but their sex scenes were pretty hot but as far as a lasting relationship for them I don’t think it will ever work. Sam is hiding the fact she is continuing her investigation but telling Patrick she is letting it go. But her driving need to find the answers isn’t something Patrick will be happy with when she finds them because it will, hopefully, lead her back to her soul mate…Jason.
Right dawnhaze,
Connie talks to Sonny, Alan used to talk to AJ, and Robin has always been a smart (well, before the writers made her stupid & getting kidnapped every month), do-gooder (no insult intended). She is a moral person & a good person to be Jason’s conscious.
I loved, loved, loved Billy Miller’s acting in those scenes and today’s with him taking Sam’s ring out of the box and his memories. Just great. I loved her scenes because I didn’t expect it. Poor Robin stuck in those scrubs for life! She didn’t look pregnant as some have guessed she will be on her return. We’ll see.
I liked the idea of Sam & Patrick, but I didn’t like them together in Amsterdam. It was so boring. I like them when they hang & talk, but I didn’t feel the sex scenes, although they were quite decent for GH. They don’t specialize in love scenes. I just think she will have more passion w/Jason. I feel Patrick was into it more than she was. I don’t give her 48 hours until she starts researching Jake again. She’s obsessed.
1 more thing, Billy sweating, shaking, tearing up looking around his apartment & at the photo, the torture on his face, the fainting & hitting his head, the reflexes when he pulled a gun on Robin..altogether as a whole, Burton would not have been able to pull that off IMO. Billy all the way!!
we’ve all had the opportunity to watch nuJake w/all three of his leading ladies
Liz, then Sam, then Carly
I think it’s a clear winner…. if Ric wasn’t in the picture
Liz by a long shot… stratosphere… even if she belongs with Ric… it’s like new… isn’t forced… raw steamy and love
I think GH has a dilemma here…. Liz and Ric should not break up
GH should thank it’s stars… they do have potential… in what to do withs… Sam and Patrick…. if they didn’t have alternatives… nuJake/Jason … Daniel is still his child… even if it’s better suited for Sam and Patrick to MOVE on
have you seen Carly next to Billy Miller ? she looks gargantuan… nothing feminine going on here… just sniveling ONCE AGAIN about her sons… and moving in and around… you remind me of someone… we were once besties…. huh? commit a crime and head to pentonville… Carly…. thank goodness Bobbie is around to move you some
wouldn’t it be something… to flesh out some… and in equal measure… that Nikolas and “Jake” are brainwashed…. let them wreak havoc on PCPD…. WSB…LOL the FBI… CIA… whoever… just show us your manups…. these guys are HOT ! in the know their stuff… and riveting reel for the audience…. I LOVE em’
GH ! you do not… DO NOT, have to pit nuJake with either or…. let his memory come back with his Qurantermaine past
therein he can focus on humane reason… affect and effect… and find his way back to us…. as a person… ala! his career as a hospital doctor ????
altho: off track here… I loved seeing Lucas JONES , as a resident doctor doing his internship…. HOT HOT HOT…. I hope he accepts Michael Q offer to intern and manage the brownstone waterfront area for the free medical clinic…. OK bring Sabrina… as long as Brad is along for HIS ride
I have to 100% agree with one poster who said… for all the press Billy Miller has gotten… at the very minimum… not one fan seems dissastisfied…. Steve Burton who?
they need to get him interacting with Nina and Franco…. pronto…
I certertainly don’t see him as a recast… I love that he’s back on our screens period
Two thoughts here, Patrick….First, magnificent appraisal of Carly! I thought CeeCee and I were the only ones who saw Ms. Jacks in this particular light, but you nailed her essence!!!! However, as for “Sappy”…..no, it’s NOT okay to bring her along to the clinic…let’s just leave her on the shelf or in the broom closet—wherever—as long as she remains off screen (or preferably, off canvas…….LOL!!!!) Brad is a definite thumbs-ups, though…. ; )
LOL, Patrick…we do agree on Carly’s carnal expanse, don’t we? Beautiful liner, the Titanic, she was!!!! However, if she didn’t crush tiny, little Sonny; chances are she won’t maim Jake either. Let’s hope she’s never given the chance.
But, oh! Wouldn’t Lizzie look great decorating Jake’s arm?
on the cover , this week…. ABC soaps… or whatever it’s called
splashed on the front page :
Will Carly and nuJason have sex
i’m like just NO
no no no
@Patrick….Make that a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I WAS HAPPY TO SEE ROBIN IN JAKE’S MIND AND HAVING HER TO PUT HIM IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. LOOKS QUICTE INTERESTING. AS FOR JAKE, HELENA IS GIVING HIM A HARD TIME AND NOW HE SEEMS TO LET HER KNOW HIS FEELINGS AT THIS TIME. I HONESTLY LOVE BILL/ JAKE, AND JASON ALL ROLLED INTO TO WIN. SO HAPPY FOR BILLY, AND JUST LOVE LISTENIING AND WATCHING HIM EVERY SECOND THAT HIS ON. GOOD LOOK BILLY, YOUR DOING A FANTASTIC JOB ON GH, GOD BLESS YOU, AND THEN THE FEATHERS TGAT APPRPX/ 2WEELS HOPING THANK WE ONLY HAVE TO WAIT A FEW MORE WEEKS, THAN ALL THE FANS THAT SAID THEY DON’T LIKE THE NEW JASON THAN DON’T. BILLY HAS DONE MUCH MORE THAN I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. PLEASE GIVE HIM A BIG CHANCE FOR YOU TO LIKE HIM, AS HE DESERVES ALL THE CLAPS, AND THRILLS THAT HE HAS GIVEN US ALL SINCE HE FIRST CAME ON. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HIM TO GET ALL HIS THOUGHTS BACK AGAIN. AS ALWAYS, MARY DITANNA PENDRAK.
I agree Mary Ditanna Pendrak, Billy is doing fantastic and he has actually only just got started on the drama. Very interested in this storyline. I never miss a scene. Robin was great and fun. Made sense. I noticed some whiners regarding his smiling and joking scenes (give me a break. Jason Morgan smiles!) are mostly silent right now. I guess if they don’t have anything to criticize from his last week of scenes. Maybe they insult the writing, but not the actor. No comments on his personality shift. He has gained a good amount of fans though. I love it all!! I don’t hate SBurton but I didn’t care for his Jason near the end especially. I feel he may have been trying to do all of the amazing things Billy pulled off today as Jason: shaking, crying, sweating, fainting, the tortured face. Burton couldn’t have pulled that off IMO.
Im not a big Robin fan…im ok with her but not her returns and kidnapping exits…however, i thought this was a nice unexpected suprise…i guess Patrick didnt see her because he doesnt have a conscience…his mind is more on his other ‘C’ and he now has SAM to take care of that for him…lol
Maybe Robin was aware of what they were doing to Jason at the clinic, perhaps she added some counter messages in his brain in case Helena ever ordered him to do something she knew Jason wouldn’t want to do— seeing the picture might have triggered one of those messages and we saw it on scene as Jake seeing Robin. I thought it was a nice touch— but I have a question– I wasn’t watching when Jason (SB) was around, but I thought Jason didn’t know Danny was his son– I thought Elizabeth had Danny, and Sam only found out the Danny was hers and that Franco switched the babies after Jason died— so how can there a picture of three of them together? Or did I misunderstood the sequence of events.
The way I remember it, Mary SF, was that Jason accepted Danny as his son, even if he was not his biologically, in part because of Monica’s acceptance of him. And, yes. Elizabeth switched the results, but it was “Todd Manning” who switched baby Danny with Tea’s baby that died in childbirth. Todd was so racked with guilt over taking away her husband and couldn’t bare to see her lose anything else because of him that she put the baby in Tea’s arms even though he was thisclose to telling her the truth about her baby. Then Heather Webber wanted the baby for herself which eventually resulted in Sam getting the baby back on the roof of the hospital.
I think I recall that Sam later got the actual DNA results that proved Jason was Danny’s biological father, but Jason was no longer around to see them.
Thanks– had my time line confused– still think the picture of Danny is of a child too old be that age when Jason was alive, but it is a soap and GH so I guess that doesn’t matter LOL.
The best I remember Sam got the baby back, Jason moved them in to his home. & was going to raise Danny as his own. That why they have photo of them all together. That’s why Jake’s memory flash yesterday was of him telling Sam “welcome home”, “this is your home” and Sam saying “Hope is a powerful thing. I’m glad you had enough for the both of us.” I believe that’s when they got their wedding bands out of the box by her bed and pledged to never take them off again. Jake remembered that today. That’s why he opened the box & saw only Sam’s ring.
Jason didn’t live long after they all moved in together. He didn’t know Danny was his before he died, but Robin found out before she left to go to the clinic to try her protocol on Jason. He did wake up and they escaped. He had his regular memory, but no voice. They stole a car and drove back to Port Charles. Robin’s big mouth told him at that time that Danny is his. Sam has no idea he found out. Of course that’s when he got run over & lost his memory. When he gets all of has memory back he will remember what Robin said about Danny.
My posts are sooo long!
No your post wasn’t too long, very informative- thanks, I was just beginning to watch GH when Jason was killed, but not every day, so I got the timeline scrambled, your post put everything in order for me. It made those flashbacks Jake had yesterday make sense to me now– not doubt the family will reunite in time for February sweeps– looking forward to it.
I was never a huge Robin fan, especially as of late with all her coming and going. But I liked the scenes between Robin and Jason, and I really loved Billy Miller in these scenes. He can truly play anything and everything, and it goes to show how Y&R really lost out on this talent (of which they have not reclaimed in either of their recasts, especially Burgess Jenkins) and how GH scored big time. Billy Miller is phenomenal and I can’t wait for the truth about who he really is to be revealed. Big time drama for February Sweeps!
Loved seeing her. Think its great for her to come back once in a while. It ties things together for Jason. And I really hate to hear negative comments like this first one here about an actor. Especially one who grew up on the show and dedicated a good amount of her life to GH. If you don’t like the character you are entitled to your opinion. But comments about an actor are really in poor taste Leo!
Well I don’t really know a lot about KM, but she is directing projects. Many of the GH actors are working in her projects and they discuss all over twitter. So no doubt she is directing. She seems like a great person and I like Robin. I do think they should recast, not to be nasty. Just because I think she’s an important part of GH. We’ll see.
My comment about SBurton not being able to pull of what BMiller did the past 2 days is just a comment on their acting styles. I prefer Burton as romantic lead more than a tough guy and his love scenes w/Kelly Monaco were sensational.
The scenes w/Miller were really good. Great idea. Nice acting. Ratings rise when Robin pops in folks. Just check past ratings over the years. LOL
I agree with you Dan BUT I really think Robin needs to do more than come back once in awhile.
hey Timmm..
Kimberly/Robin can do nothing but come and go quickly..
she has a career directing and is no longer a soap actress, she put that behind her..
so, all she do is a quickie … lol
they should just let her go and have done with it .
KMc & BM jived well together but all I cared about was Sam & Patrick lol
I love Kim but here she is again, on for one day and gone. They need to recast the role. She is an important cog in the wheel of GH!
RC and FV should have left robin dead as she wanted..
she wanted to go out in bang and she did, she was done/out and wanted her death..
since she was kept alive coming and going, it has accomplished nothing but a lot of upset fans … bad move/ a mistake ..
Thats a great point BUT Robin is a legacy character and, in the past, killing off a legend haunts the show and hurts the fans. Look no further than Alan, Emily, and A.J. They should have left her in the lab until she wanted to come back or recast with a new face since it could have been easily explained because of the explosion.
@Harry. LOL. …Little confused here….I know there’s an innuendo somewhere in there, Harry. You would not miss the chance to entertain us with your so-awaited-for sarcasm (which I love). Do you mean that Sam is a blow up doll? And, if so….who is deflating; the doll, Sam’s silicone twins, or Patrick?……oops. Again, is this a faux pas, on my part?….oh, well….LOL.
CeeCee….Believe it or not, there is an actual occupation featuring real live people under the title that Harry stated…it has nothing to do with those freaky “dolls.” And I only know this because there was an episode of Boston Legal that featured such a character…if memory serves, she was portrayed by the pre-Glee “Sue Sylvester” herself, Jane Lynch. And by the way, I agree with Harry….Sam would probably do very well in that field! She really does have a way with the opposite sex….and I say that with admiration.
Hey, Shay.
I used to watch BOSTON LEGAL…loved that show. I vaguely seem to remember Jane L. in an episode.
Thanks for the info…I still have a lot to learn…LOL. later.
We ALL still have a lot to learn, CeeCee, but thankfully, through the media we can do it vicariously….which is a very fortunate thing when you consider some of life’s more unsavory aspects!!! LOL. I was a Boston Legal fan because of James Spader….what an awesome actor!!!! Plus, he was an absolute preppy Adonis in his earlier years!!! Alas, I’ve finally abandoned him…I simply cannot bear to watch him now that he has sunk into that disturbing middle-aged creepiness on “The Blacklist.”
Did you ever see the movie WHITE PALACE? My mother fell for Spader after watching that movie. He was hot, albeit he did let himself go.
I watched BOSTON LEGAL because of the great camaraderie and rapport among the players. I was never a fan of William Shatner, but, he was fascinating as Denny Crane….he nailed the role. Plus, I went to school in Cambridge, Mass., and I found the concept of a show within the Boston environs appealing, albeit I knew the episodes were filmed in California. …sorry, got a little carried away. LOL.
Oh yes, CeeCee, I saw “White Palace” more than once, although it was certainly not a favorite of mine….Susan Sarandon spoiled it for me…I’ve never cared for her. (She’s another one like Alexis who has to constantly flaunt her cleavage…LOL.) I actually made it a point to see as many of Spader’s movies as possible, and there were quite a few!!!! The man worked in a lot of films, even if they weren’t all big budget. In addition to loving his patrician pretty boy “look,” I found him to be just so versatile and talented. However, after his lengthy BL stint, I threw in the towel on my fandom. I simply couldn’t abide how he let himself slide into “character actor” territory when he could have remained more of a leading man type with just a bit of effort. It was too sad for me after so enjoying his handsome Hollywood heyday. (Speaking of Mass…..Did you know that is James’ home state? He grew up near and attended Andover Prep….his parents taught there, I think. They were both teachers. I could go on, but won’t. Needless to say, I know my Spader trivia…used to read his rare interviews with great interest….)
As much as I love Kimberly as Robin, I think the role should be recast because she is an important character in the storytelling. Emma needs her mom and Anna needs her only daughter and Robin can help Jake/Jason free himself from Helena’s control. Anna and Robin should get rid of Helena and straighten up Nikolas. And Patrick can romp with his little Boo thing all he wants.
I really miss Robin and had heard rumors that she might be replaced with Elizabeth Hendrickson from Y&R
