Steve Burton (ex-Jason): “Well, hate to even be posting about this. 💔Another reminder of how precious life is and to hug the ones you love and stay present.  Jackie Z. What an awesome lady. So sweet. She was one of the veterans that when I came on, welcomed me with open arms. For that I’ll always be grateful..I never saw her in a bad mood despite life’s challenges. Her energy was incredible. She always asked how I was and what was happening in my life. Always made time. We had Malibu in common.. anytime someone mentioned Malibu I would think of her..she lived out there and I would surf there a lot so we would talk about that… ❤️ thank you Jackie for your example. Legend. So sweet and kind. My prayers are with your family. RIP Jackie Zeman 🙏🏻🕊️❤️”

Laura Wright (Carly): “I’m struggling to wrap my head around this – I’m so grateful to have shared so many years with this beautiful woman. She loved working on GH -she adored her daughters and lit up when talking about her grandchildren – saying she will be missed is an understatement – thank you Jackie for sharing your heart and soul with all of us. Much love to Cassidy and Lacey ❤️ #nurseBobbie #BobbieCarly #Spencerwomen”

I can not believe this is true. How is this true? I don’t have the words right now. I’m heartbroken. My love is with you and your beautiful Cassidy and Lacey, your beautiful grand babies, your fur babies and everyone who was lucky enough to know your heart and love. No words to do you justice. This really hurts. I love you. I cannot believe this. #love”

Emma Samms (Holly): “I’m heartbroken by the news that we have lost Jackie Zeman. She was a wonderfully skilled actress but it was her kind heart that made us love her. My heart goes out to her family whom I know was immensely proud.”

Much later we worked on The Bay. And now I’ll never be able to work with her again. Her spark has gone. By babe.”

Yvette Nicole Brown: “I am stunned. We just met when I did General Hospital to honor Sonya Eddy.  She saw me in the hallway marveling at the #GH sign — I couldn’t believe I was actually there. I turned, saw her & immediately fan-girled. I’ve loved her all my life! She was lovely.”

I can’t even imagine how shocking this must be for all of her colleagues past and present. Such a loss. When I was a kid and would watch GH, I always loved Bobbie’s interactions with Luke. Bobbie’s smile and giggle were infectious. GH has their work cut out for them now as they will hopefully structure an epic tribute for her.

“Bobbie” seemed forever, as did Ms. Zeman. I recall her as Lana McClain on OLTL, first, and actually doing double-duty as Lana and Bobbie overlapping in their last and first runs, respectively. A force of nature, there was nothing like the down-to-earth yet “sparkly sunshine” of Jackie Zeman, she brought a true east coast vibe to the proceedings, we cared and rooted for her and all those she rooted for, for decades. Yes, her energy is eternal.

Omgosh that era of the early 80s with Rick Springfield and Demi Moore and Jackie in the middle of it all. She was the best I am so shocked by this!

Was so sad to hear of Jackie’s passing as the news broke last night. Have watched her work for years and she will be remembered forever. My sincerest condolences to Jackie’s family, friends and fans. Rest peacefully

My heart is heavy. Jackie Z was truly one of my favorites. In my head she was my auntie with the fire RED hair. General Hospital has been a trusted friend to me. My late mother and I spent so many days talking about Bobbie and Scottie, and Luke and Laura. They were my introduction to what has now been a 40 year passion . I will miss seeing Bobbie ( Jackie Z) and that beautiful face and awesome red hair. RIP auntie Bobbie!!!!
Love Always
Your Niece

This is the saddest news ever i just couldn’t beleive what I read!!!!!!!!!! I felt soooo upset all night long since i read about Jackie. She was not just beautiful, but i felt like I knew her, cause I grew up watching Gen. Hosp. i still cannot beleive it! Rest in Peace

When I saw her name headlining the google names I had thought maybe she was leaving and when I read further and saw she passed away I couldn’t believe it, I was in total shock. I have watched General Hospital for years (my mom got me hooked when was a little girl). I saw her first appearance and l became drawn to her character as well as Luke, Laura and Scotty. I will forever miss the sound of her voice and cute laugh and the smile that light up every room. Go fly high with the angel Jackie Zeman you have absolutely earned your wings. My condolences to her daughters, granddaughters and every life she had touched.

I’ve been watching Jackie since she played Lana on OLTL in the 70’s. I’m in shock and heartbroken. God bless her family. Many heart felt condolences

The passing of Jacqie Zeman has got to be a horrible blow to not only the GH family, but the many fans across the country. My earliest memory of her was a conversation she was having with Aunt Ruby I don’t remember it but she was amazing, and the last memory was at the wedding of Micheal and Willow. My condolences to her work family, her daughters, friends and fans.

So sad to hear the news of jackie’ passing. What an icon! I feel like a part of my childhood is gone out as I remember her character of Bobbi was one of my favorites. May she rest in peace.

Such a loss. I remember my sister forcing me to watch as a kid.. during the Damian Smith affair.. I’ve been a fan since. Her mannerisms and voice were so distinct. A true original. Rest with God. Condolences to her family and friends.

Devastating news.

She led with kindness and compassion.

Everyone seems so shocked by this I was so shocked I can’t believe it

I am in shock! I started watching GH in the 60’s it was only a half an hour then, I would come home for lunch & watch it! This is the saddest news. My heart is broken for her girls & the rest of her family!
RIP Lovely lady

I am lost for words. I am glad to have seen her during Michael and Willow’s wedding just over a week ago. I have been watching General Hospital since the early 70’s and her character has been awesome. I send prayers to her family and GH. RIP.

I remember watching her on ONE Life to Live in 1976 – Nov 1977. I wrote to her in late 1976 and got a nice handwritten letter at the time. May not be the first fan letter but it was an early ones. I recorded OLTL on AUDIO-Cassette from July 1977 through early 79 and uploaded them to Youtube. I was sad when they Killed Lana off in Nov 17/18 Episodes 1977, but was Happy when in early Dec 1977 she walked out of the elevator as Bobbie Spencer Michael have you found any of the One Life to Live cast members like Jameson Parker or Erika Slezak etc reactions

She had such a bright light about her that you knew when watching her it was authentic and genuine. It’s as if she didn’t have to rehearse to play the character. It takes immense talent to wear and become your character but she did just that. I loved her sense of fashion. Seems as if she could have lived another 20 or so years and still would have been on the set because she brought that much energy to her work.

I feel like I’ve lost a part of my family. She was a force! My condolences to her family and friends for this huge loss. RIP Jackie Zeman. You will be missed.

Watching general hospital since day one she was my favorite RIP

This wonderful woman put it all on screen. We were spoiled to witness such genius. Rest well, JZ.

Oh my I love Jackie an amazing the Best Beautiful actress been watching Gh with nurse B for many years Nurse Bobby you are missed. God Blessing Peace love & syrength to her family as she rest in God’s Arms

In a surprise move, Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos, GH) is getting ready to unveil a new chapter of his career in music.

The former GH star, where he played the son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) for 15 years, has announced his new single, “If You Need Me” will drop on Friday, June 26. The single is now available for pre-order on Spotify and major music streaming platforms and is distributed by DistroKid.

Taking to his Instagram story over the weekend, to announce the pre-save of his new single, Chad expressed, “I’ll make a full post about what I’ve been up to and my music once it goes live next week, but you can pre-save my first single so it goes straight to your Spotify once it drops next week.”

SINCE LEAVING GENERAL HOSPITAL

Previously, since his departure from the ABC soap opera. Chad starred alongside Zach Mendez in the world premiere of of Yum Yum at Annapolis, a new play written by Bruce Reisman. Duell last appeared on General Hospital on the January 21, 2025 episode.

The part was recast with Rory Gibson who debuted as the new Michael in May of 2025 during the Nurses’ Ball episodes and who has remained in the role since that time.

In an interview earlier this year on The Able Show, Duell said on his decision to exit the soap opera, “I was blessed to be part of that (show) for as long as I have, but what happens sometimes is if you’re doing the same thing, especially in a creative field for such a long time, you can get a little burnt out in a way. It can make you a little depressed, so that’s kind of what happened. On top of that, I had other things going on in my life at the time. My father passed away recently and I just needed a reset. So, I stepped away. A lot of times you have to go through some stuff to really step into that next level. I needed to kind of feel uncomfortable.”

So, what type of musical genre will Chad’s new song be? Country? Pop? Rock? Dance/Club? Something else? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section below, and if you are eager to hear the new single next week via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Reflects on Dante’s Guilt for the ‘Atrocity’ That Happened to Michael Which Kept Everyone From Telling Him the Truth About Rocco (Exclusive)

Published

on

By

On recent episodes of General Hospital, acting PCPD commissioner, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was the last to know when his ex-wife Lulu (Alexa Havins), his cop/friend “Nathan,” (Ryan Paevey) and his son, Rocco (Finn Carr) kept him in the dark from learning that Rocco actually shot WSB director, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). That, set off a chain of events leading to Rocco joining Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and going on the run from Port Charles.

However, what led to everyone being so secretive and keeping the truth from Dante stems, in part, to what happened back in 2010. In story, Michael Corinthos (then played by Chad Duell) was brutally assaulted and rape by his prison inmate, Carter (Josh Wingate). Michael went to prison when his brother, Dante, then a PCPD detective, forced Michael to testify in court about killing his stepmother, Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Brown). That testimony resulted in Michael being sentenced to prison for manslaughter.

In early 2011, Michael admitted out loud to Jason (Steve Burton) for the first time that he was raped. The guilt of that situation has plagued Dante for years, and fast-forward 16 years later, it’s still very much alive in Dante’s character life as explained by Dominic Zamprogna in his recent interview on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Courtesy/ABC

RORY GIBSON RECAST WAS PERFECT TIME TO BRING BACK THE STORY POINT

Zamprogna spoke of Dante’s son current plight, and how it dovetails into the past for the acting police commissioner. “The situation with Rocco is just this awful scenario that this kid is in and wanting to try and do the best for him. The other thing I liked too was from the other people’s perspectives of Dante in the past, he kind of did right by the law, not by the people, or put too much faith in the law, and expected it to work out for the people he loved, and it didn’t. So, it gave them a reason for keeping things from him as well.”

The five-time Daytime Emmy nominee shared it’s important to remember things in the history of the character you play. When GH decided to recast the role of Michael Corinthos with Rory Gibson on-screen in May of 2025, it was the perfect time to remind viewers of what happened all those years ago.

“The idea that when you’re on a show this long, I do think about those elements because there’s so much story. The scenes that I think of immediately with the Michael situation was with Chad gone, and then Rory came in. They (the writers) chose that moment to kind of literally say in the dialogue when we were at the Quartermaines, ‘You’ve changed since you came back from Europe, and you’re a different guy and you’re darker.’ I think I said all these things. Frank Valentini (executive producer, GH) calls (Rory’s version) ‘Dark Michael.’ It’s true.”

DANTE’S GUILT OVER MICHAEL’S BRUTAL PRISON ASSAULT LINGERS

“That was the first time my character brought that up in what had happened to Michael so long ago. I’d love to play those beats more often. You can’t beat that to death, because it was 16 years ago, but you also can’t act like it never happened. Sometimes in the world that we live in, the soap world, you do act like things don’t happen because how could people carry on with that kind of guilt, you know? Every time I looked at Michael, Dante would feel responsible for the atrocity that happened to him. So, there’s a balance. You can’t think about it every time, but you definitely have to acknowledge it. This was the perfect time to acknowledge it with the character of Michael because of the recast.”

Now over the last several months, Dante was kept from the truth all stemming back to that moment. Zamprogna recalled, “It was the first kind of domino that fell in bringing back that history. Then, you had Britt coming back and that brought back that history of the embryo with Dante and Lulu. It was fun to be able to play pissed-off with these people who I love. So, you got to play the love underneath and the anger on top, and it was all because of his past. So, it all kind of brought things back and it completed something.”

CAN LULU AND DANTE FIND ROCCO AND BRITT IN TIME?

At the end of Friday’s June 19 cliffhanger, Dante and Lulu learned from “Nathan” where Rocco and Britt are hiding out and take off to find their son. How will that go? Can the execs get along for the sake of their son? Stay tuned.

In case you missed our conversation with Dominic Zamprogna  you can check it out in full below.

Do you believe, given what happened with Michael Corinthos in the past, everyone had the right to hide what happened to Rocco from Dante? What do you remember from the harrowing story of Michael’s rape in prison by Carter? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Finola Hughes First Airdate Back to ‘General Hospital’ Revealed: But What Will Be the State of Anna Devane’s Mental Health?

Published

on

By

The highly-anticipated return of Daytime Emmy winner, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) to General Hospital is just around the corner. It’s next week! Anna’s back starting with the Wednesday June 24 episode of the ABC daytime drama series.

Hughes has been off the soap opera on-screen since February. Now, the question becomes, when viewers see Anna, will she be in the same condition she was when we last saw her? Believing Cesar Faison is alive, and traumatized from the hallucinogenic drugs she was served up from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and company while held captive at Wyndemere?

Anna was last seen in a mental clinic in France, but also left word of her captivity on the wall inside the secret room at Wyndemere where Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) are now being held against their will, too!

Photo: ABC

ANNA ON HER WAY BACK TO PORT CHARLES?

Even though Finola Hughes has not been on the canvas for months, Anna has certainly been talked about. In fact, super spy Anna, nearly escaped and made it as far as Switzerland before being recaptured. Since that time she is said to be housed at a high-security institution. We were then told that Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) went to bat for Anna with the authorities overseas, and had her transferred to a more comfortable facility.

How will Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) play into saving Anna? We know he flipped out after learning what was happening and tried to phone the facility as Dr. Kevin Collins, but that backfired making him public enemy number one with the WSB.

Here’s what to look for on episodes featuring Finola Hughes on her first week back below:

On Wednesday, June 24 official General Hospital spoilers share: Anna meets with her doctor. Carly makes a stunning confession. Britt extracts a promise. Cullum pulls a fast one. Gio and Emma hit the pool.

Then, when we next see Anna on the Friday, June 26 episode, official GH spoilers add: Anna takes a huge risk. Britt is in grave danger. Willow is in disbelief. Danny must act fast. Curtis jumps to the wrong conclusion.

ANNA/VALENTIN/CARLY

In addition, General Hospital co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased summer story to Soap Opera Digest, including some intel on Anna’s return to Port Charles. The scribes shared that Anna’s presence doesn’t mean that Rocco (Finn Carr) is out of the woods for shooting Cullum, and that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) would face some hard questions from the super spy as well, plus a major decision made by Jason (Steve Burton) is said to have big implications for Anna.

There is also the fact that while Anna was in a mental facility in France, Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin have become lovers and developed feelings for one another while in Port Charles. Will a triangle ensue? Stay tuned.

So, what do you think will be Anna’s mental state when viewers see her next week on GH? Will she be OK? Suffer from PTSD? Be faking it at this point, or be a changed woman? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
