Ingo Rademacher issues statement, "I'm Fired" from GH!

Courtesy/ABC
Alluding to our post earlier today that it looked like Ingo Rademacher is on his way out at GH, and thus his exit could coincide with the departure of Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo as Brenda, now comes the new from Ingo himself that after 15 years he is leaving General Hospital!
According to ABC Soaps In Depth, Ingo put out this statement: “It is with mixed emotions and regret that I write this note to you, my fans and colleagues. After 15 years on GH portraying Jax I must say goodbye. I’m fired. Yes, I know that’s sounds bad but sometimes little birds need a shove out of the nest to find their wings… better late then never? I’m trying to find some humor in all this. Even though this was not my call, I think my GH days were almost up anyway.”
“I would like to thank everyone at GH, the producers, directors, crew, my fellow actors and ABC/Disney for making my 15 years enjoyable and fun. It was always a great place for me to work and I will have fantastic memories. I would again like to thank my fans and especially my “Jax Angels” who have been there for me, supporting me in every way, from Day One. Thank you!”
A spokesperson for GH confirmed that Rademacher will indeed be exiting the canvas. Ingo was considered one of daytime’s best leading men. So what do you think of the decision by GH? Let us know.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”
So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair
After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!
In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.
Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.
MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP
Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!
At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY
Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”
LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER
In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?
So, what do you think of Michael’s plan to push Willow and Chase into an affair? Will it work or backfire? Do you think Joss will reveal that Valentin is the man sleeping with Carly to Brennan, which will send him in a rage? Will Lulu continue to be clueless about “Nathan?” Weigh-in via the comment section below. But first, take a look at the GH video tease for today’s April 30 episode.

Hearing the news about Ingo’s firing annoys me a lot.. I couldn’t stand Jax sometimes, but this is drawing a line….
He is one of the best actors on the canvas, so why fire him? Get rid of some of the newbies…
I think it sucks!! Wish they would get rid of some others that don’t seem to have half the talent of Ingo. Never minded new people coming on because they either made their way or they didn’t. We could always be assured that the solid actors were there at least until THEY decided it was time to go. Now they are bringing on all these new people and some of our most beloved characters are pushed to the wayside. There is a reason I don’t watch GH anymore. They don’t write like they used to and their is no one to root for anymore. 15 years has to mean something and it doesn’t. I guess my 30+ years of watching the show means nothing to them as well. I wish him all the best and know good things are coming his way. Is someone TRYING to sabotage GH?
They keep Brianna Brown and Ingo has to leave? UNFAIR
It’s all good. Might as well look for something else now that ABC will probably can it anyway. He’ll do fine. He was awesome on that Aaron Spelling show “Titans” back in the day.
I sad to here that Ingo was fired. Despite the there has rumors for weeks. It is still a shock to his castmates and fans. He is one of GH’s best. I only wish him and his family only the best.
I have been a fan of Ingo’s since he first appeared on GH – as the spoiled, rich corporate raider…. Remember when Lois barged into his office and WHAM! Ingo turned around and GH was forever changed, for the better. Yes, at 1st we liked Ingo because he was gorgeous, still is. But he has grown SO much as an actor. I think he is one of the best on the canvas and has been under-used for too long. I hope now that this GH door has closed the new door that opens allows him to live year round in his Hawaiian home that he loves w Ehiku & Peanut. Hawaii 5-0…. Are you listening! I don’t watch your show now, but would if Ingo joined the cast! Ingo, you will be missed more than you know!
i actually remember that scene with him & lois – i have been a fan of ingo’s since day one & i will truly miss him!
As a 24 year fan of GH this is sad. Iv’e been a huge fan of Jax & Carly. (So much so that I have a cat named Jax & a dog named Carly!) GH higher ups seem to be making a lot of nutty choices lately. Greg Vaughan, Tyler Christopher, and now Ingo. The writers at GH are not what they used to be for certain! They could have gone many way better places with Greg, Tyler, & Jax. I suspect GH is trying to trim the budget down to escape cancellation. FYI GH you cut out boring newbies like Steve, Olivia, Lisa, etc. NOT core cast members that everyone loves. I’m afraid these mistakes maybe the bell tolling for GH & I will prob cry on the day it ends…
I REALLY DIDN’T LIKE BRENDA’S STORYLINE. IT WAS BORING AND SO IS JAX. SO GOODBYE TO BOTH. LONG LIVE GH
I can not believe what they are doing to GH
totally disgusted about this. ingo is my favorite actor on the show. he has recently had some great scenes which showed off his talent. GH should have brought his character back to the light-hearted, carefree man that he was with brenda and lois. it sounds to me like they are trying to lose viewers so they have reason to cancel yet another soap. Goodbye ABC daytime!
Extremely disappointed in this event! Jax and Carly are so great and Ingo is so very talented. Big mistake! I think we need to do the same thing we did fot Becky Herbst and get Ingo back!
I am disappointed that Ingo is leaving.. I love watching him everyday & the work between him & Laura Wright.. And Brenda just came back after all those years away, and already she is leaving.. I am very disappointed with GH! I have been a loyal fan for many years. It is getting hard to be faithful with all the changes. But at least I still have Maurice & Steve…
Well… fine then – ship him over to Y & R….maybe he can be one of Colin Atkinsons ‘ henchmen …..now there’s an irony – Ingo playing a mob enforcer.
Since he is Australian- he would be great at Y&R with the Cane storyline!
I love GH and OLTL and all I can say is with everything that has happened lately it is so obvious that ABC does not care about their shows and they REALLY do not care about us… the fans! It is all about money! And I love capitalism.
The way they were shoving Jax under a bus, I’m not surprised. I know Ingo will land on his feet, and I’ll look forward to seeing him on a show not run by a bunch of freaking idiots.
ingo is a vet on this show. if you got to make cuts do it elswhere. if gh is on it’s way out i want to see the vets usher it off the air. ingo should be a part of this show as long as it is conducive for him. i know this is not by his choice. just another example of narrow minded writers and producers.
GH needs to fire Maurice and get this show back to being about the hospital and a total ensemble show!
So true Janice!!!
I think it’s crap. I’m personally sick of the mob storyline and feel that if anyone should go it should be the mob characters. The whole show is going down the tubes and it’s because they have turned GH into a mob soap opera and are gradually getting rid of all of the good characters/actors. Gh just lost another viewer.
I agree. I am beginning to think there is a pyromaniac writing with all the exposions.
All I can say is GH you suck! Ingo will be missed and I for one am done with GH.
I have just about had my fill also. The producers & writers need to get a grip on themselves. I can’t believe the producers are going long with the repeat scenerio that the writers are throwing at us. Jax should have not been let go what is needed is another new set of writers.
Ingo, get out while you can. This show is on its way out. They have systematically made this show about Sonny, Jason and Carly and due to that, there was really never any room for any other character to be the hero or heroine. Jax’s character storyline has taken a very mean-spirited path. And I think that Vanessa Marcil found that out as well. But, the real truth is this love affair with Sonny and his “godlikeness” is what has indeed destroyed this soap. There has never been any accountability by the writing team to balance this character. So hence the fallout. I wish all the actors and workers the very best. The blame lies with the creative team: exec producers.
i feel that was a very bad move on abc and disneys part to let an actor like ingo rademacker get away. they should have just gave him a long vacation until they figured out what to do with him, an not fired him. it’s scary to say and it’s scary to read and it’s scary to hear that some body was actully stupid enough to let talent like that go at all. every since abc merged with disney it’s been down hill, because disney is for kids and soap operas are for adults and disney obviously doesn’t understand or recogonize adult soap opera talent anymore if they ever did at alls, and of course with them envoled they have a lot to say about whats seen on soap operas an the ways soap operas work. they were smart enough to walk vanessa marcil off the canvas for the hundreth time, but ingo rademacher they fired. it’s so stupid i don’t want to believe it. i am so affected and bothered by that; i can’t even put it into words. (abc/disney) seems to be no longer connected with what works; they are too concerned with new and the next level an excelling to uneccessary levels to realize that it doesn’t and won’t and can’t get no better with names like maurice benard ingo rademacher an steve burton headlining them it was all good. with ingo rademacher leaving i wish steve burton and maurice benard and brandon barash and jason cook and joshua jackson and tyler christopher an nathan parson would all quit or leave also so i can stop watching general hospital all together, because they are the only reasons at alls that that show is watchable at alls; general abc disney and general hospital haven’t been loyal to all of their fans for a long time now; i don’t know which fans they think or believe or feels wants to see ingo rademacher gone at alls, but i just can’t say that that was a dumb ass move enough; that wasn’t for all or any fans at alls and if they aren’t doing all an any of it for the fans then they aren’t doing it at alls, which is probably why all of the soap operas (night time and daytime) are being canceled because there are to many people over there at abc/ disney an general hospital with to much experience and knowledge in and about the business and entertainment industry an to little knowledge about the fans of general hospital and soap operas and all of those other shows and what the fans want to see, and not caring is the same as saying you want to fail. how the hell can you not care what the fans want to see when the fans are the ones watching an keeping all of the shows on tv at alls. for the most part all of the charcters have forgotten to make sense and have forgotten to leave us hanging for more, and it’s not the talents fault it’s the writers and the directors and the producers and abc and disney and all of the big wigs and every body at alls that are working on or for soap operas that don’t watch soap operas or at least the ones that they work on because they have no vested intrested they just want to make a lot of money and be important or some wheres that they know will make them seen as idolistic. robert guza has always been one of my favorites; i’ve always admired and respected his choices with regard to general hospital. i don’t know how that could have happened, but i am seriously messed up about it. i haven’t felt this bad since i heard all my children and one life to live were canceled. if it’s left up to all of the so called big wigs and all of the coo and ceos there’s not going to be any thing at alls to watch on tv accept reality shows about food an fat people and ladies issues and girls issues and about being a better person. i thought tv was supposed to be a getaway from reality an escape from the norm and actual living and school was supposed to be where you learned an where reality was.. well i normal don’t do this but that’s how i feel.. i hate the direction that abc and disney and general hospital are going in.. fired is an awful word I hope ingo rademacher stays on tv and visible; I’ve gotten use to seeing him over the last 15 years plus I watched him on australian tv. I don’t understand any thing at alls about what those peope are thinking..
Horrible decision. In fact the recent revisions on the show have startled me. Our beloved characters are behaving strangly, almost like they all of a sudden have different personalities. It’s weird and insulting to us viewers. I watch and I’m often confused on what is going on with the show these days. I DVR this program as I have for years and used to find comfort in settling down at night to watch my “guilty pleasure”. It’s not so comforting any more and that makes me sad!
Sad to see Jax leave. Jerry yes by all means. Please don’t ever bring Jerry back. Who should go is Anthony, Ron, Helena, & Spinelli if his roll is written better.
Another wasted salary would be bringing Franco back. This show used to be about love and family. With all the bad things going on in the world these days we need to have something entertaining to watch that makes us feel warm inside but thrilled in a nice way.
I can’t believe the let him go! He was one of the best actors on the cast and the ONLY reason I continued to watch after Marcil was gone. Once she came back I got others to watch. I really thought they would turn the storyline back to Jax and Brenda getting back together and having a “happily ever after”. Now they get rid of both!!! Bad move on their part. I will not continue to watch.
Bring jax back!!!
Bring Jax back!
