Jesse Palmer Named as New Host of ‘The Bachelor’ Replacing Chris Harrison

Photo: JPI

Apparently, The Bachelor has finally found their man! No not another lead, but the host.  After Chris Harrison’s departure amid controversy, after hosting every season of the the series until last year, ABC has announced that Jesse Palmer will now take the spot.

Palmer is no stranger to ‘Bachelor Nation’ and the mechanics of the competition-dating reality series.  Jesse was the series lead back in 2004 for its fifth season.

In a statement on his new gig, Jesse expressed: “For more than 20 years, The Bachelor has brought the world dozens of unforgettable love stories, including at one time, my own. Falling in love is one of life’s greatest gifts, and I am humbled by the opportunity to return to the show as host this season to offer the newest Bachelor advice gained from firsthand experience, and I am grateful to play a small part in his journey.”

ABC announced that the new season of The Bachelor will premiere in early 2022.

As sports fans know, Palmer  is a former college and NFL quarterback, and is a college football analyst for ESPN.

In addition, Jesse hosted the short-lived reality series The Proposal, which was created by The Bachelor’s Mike Fleiss.

So, what do you think of Jesse Palmer as the new host of The Bachelor? Good choice? Not-so-good choice? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

The bachelor is phony!
Some of the men and women that were on the show have told
many stories of set-up scenes– Some needed to be filmed/retakes more than a few times..
The women competing for the men are whorish imo..
what women would want a man that pitted her against others while he was 100% doing what he does with them..
It’s sadly pathetic watching the junk..
Enjoy if you like the set-ups LOL

Jesse was on a reality show surfing competition last month and he was horrible! Chris Harrison was the right type for the Bachelor. They need someone more like Chris who has presence and not just a hunky cardboard cutout!

I agree with you, Tom. But Palmer is firmly in third place behind record-holders Ryan Seacrest and Michael Strahan…
