Kassie DePaiva Returns to Days of our Lives

Next week, beginning with the August 3rd episode of Days of our Lives, daytime favorite, Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair, OLTL) is reprising her role as Eve Donovan. When viewers last saw Eve was sent to Bayview after being declared criminally insane.
Days fans will recall, what Eve did to Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) when she was grief-stricken over the murder of her daughter, Paige.
According to Soap Opera Digest, and in the twist, Eve will meet up with someone from her high school days, Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) who will also be in Bayview.

When Burton was originally on the show in 1988 as Harris, Jake (Scott Reeves) and Harris knew that Eve used to be a prostitute so they made a bet to see who could score with her first. Harris went on several dates with her, but once Eve learned what Harris was after, and she attempted to kill herself on sleeping pills. By that time, Harris had fallen in love with her, but Eve never forgave him.
With Eve, Harris and the previously reported return of Tamara Braun as Ava, will Bayview become DAYS’ version of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest?”
What do you think of a Harris and Eve reunion? What do you think will happen at Bayview? Glad to see Kassie back on DAYS? Comment below.
Ugh….
I wanted to see the REAL Eve Donovan again.
Charlotte Ross is no longer Eve to me and Kassie can act circles around her. This IS the real Eve to me! So exciting!
She may be a better actress, but it’s still not the same when the original Harris should be with the original Eve because they show flashbacks that would be cool. You can’t do flashbacks with Kassie, but you can do flashbacks with charlotte. It’s not the same. It’s just going to be like Philip with Chloe when Phillip comes back it’s not Jay Kenneth Johnson so who cares
Flashbacks can be reshot. It’s been done in the past. Perhaps Charlotte Ross wasn’t available. Also, I would hardly compare this to Philip. Kassie Depaiva is a soap legend and neither Philip is in the same league.
Days always seems to be a cuckoo’s nest anymore! I am not sure mental health advocates are pleased with these plot points.
If mental health advocates are going to complain about any current soap storyline, I’m thinking it’s the horrible mess they have made out of Sasha on GH. Though Wigged Out Whitley is probably a close second, since that one involved some serious elder abuse against Abe as well.
I don’t think they’ve made a mess out of Sasha; we know she’s being drugged. There are viewers that are pissed Sasha can’t catch a break; yes. But as far as mental illness, her story isn’t really about that at this point; just two rotten people using her bout with her grief-stricken breakdown to convince a judge she’s still in the throes of it.
I guess if it gets the Maurice Bernard seal of approval (since he’s become the mental health aficionado) Sasha’s story is fine. And the two evildoers lol will pay a steep price ala Sonny’s wrath….
great to have her back
While they’re at it, why not bring Scott Reeves back too, and party like it’s the 80s again!
Tamara Braun onscreen with Steve Burton again, how fun (GH)!! I’m all for any s/l with Burton in it, top notch actor!
Really excited for the return of Kassie DePaiva! Hope she gets a long term contract! Love her.
They should bring Charlotte Ross back instead
And even the Devil said amen.
I miss the REAL Eve Donovan. And she’s the only one who should be in scenes with Harris Michaels
Love when they incorporate history A hook up with Harris and Eve could be hot
Welcome back Kassie! I don’t think Charlotte Ross is interested in returning to Days or soaps.
Nope. Never cared for Kassie DePaiva.
I’m delighted to hear that Kassie DePaiva is returning to Days! She’s one of my favorite daytime actresses 🙂 I loved her on One Life To Live and Days 🙂 Good luck, Kassie! 🙂
Welcome back Kassie! So glad to have you on our screens again.

Coming up for the holidays, Lifetime has revealed they have an 80s and soap-themed film starring: Donna Mills (ex-Knots Landing, General Hospital), Linda Gray (ex-Dallas), Nicollette Sheridan (ex-Knots Landing and Dynasty), Morgan Fairchild (ex-Falcon Crest, SFT, DAYS et al) and Loni Anderson (ex-WKRP in Cincinnati).
Filmed earlier in 2023, Ladies of the 80’s is said to follow five soap opera divas (how fun and perfect!), as they reunite to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running soap opera!
In story, the producer, Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson), who happen to be old college friends, do their best to keep things on the rails but as the ladies come together, old rivalries resurface that threaten to tear the production apart. With the show nearly canceled before it even begins due to the ladies’ famous diva behavior, they reluctantly agree to set aside their differences and past secrets to “act” as if they all still love each other. When old sparks reignite between Alex and Nell, the ladies become eager to play cupid and conspire to bring the couple together.
But wait, there’s more! In addition to the five leading ladies, the cast also includes: Days of our Lives favorite Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy), Alec Mapa, and Donna Mills’ real-life daughter, Chloe Mills, plus 80s heartthrob, Christopher Atkins.

There is even a Ladies of the 80’s theme song, performed by none other than 80’s pop star, Tiffany!
In a statement on the project, the movie’s EP Larry A. Thompson shared: “The opportunity to bring together Donna, Morgan, Loni, Linda and Nicollette, five powerhouse women into one holiday movie, has been like finding the perfect gift under the Christmas tree.”
The official airdate of the holiday movie will be revealed shortly in the networks’s A Wonderful Lifetime Holiday movie schedule. Deadline first shared the news.

DAYS and Y&R Favorite Zach Tinker Starring in New Film ‘Beneath The Light’

Zach Tinker, who soap fans love as Sonny Kiriakis on Days of our Lives and Fen Baldwin on The Young and the Restless, is currently in production on his latest film role.
In the horror flick, Beneath The Light, which is currently shooting in Lorain, Ohio, stars Zach as a troubled young man who takes a job at an abandoned lighthouse hoping to reconnect with an old friend – daughter of the lighthouse’s current owner (John Pyper Ferguson).

A budding romance provides comfort, but the key to his redemption lies with the lighthouse owner and the unexpected bond they share.
The film is being shot under a SAG-Interim agreement during the actors strike and recently locked in Tinker, Ferguson and Anna Nicole Chavez as its leads.

Emily O’ Brien Confirmed as Theresa Donovan Replacement on Days of our Lives

At the end of the October 2nd episode of Days of our Lives, and during its closing credits, Emily O’ Brien was listed in the cast playing the role of Theresa Donovan, which confirms the rumors that Emily is taking over the role from Jen Lilley.
So, what does this mean for O’Brien? Does this mean she is exiting her role of Gwen Rizczech, a part she has played since 2020? It would seem so, but this is DAYS after all, so anything is possible.
As the backstage story goes, Jen Lilley, who had played the role of Theresa on and off since 2013, wanted to appear for a limited-run to be a part of the memorial service episodes for Victor Kiriakis, and honoring the late, John Aniston. Lilley often shared scenes with Aniston.

Photo: JPI
In speaking with Soaps.com on the situation, Lilley thought she was taping episodes during a 3 to 4 window in which she made herself available. However, DAYS actually wrote more episodes of Theresa’s story, and had decided to recast the part with O’Brien Later, when Jen was told who the actress is, she was a bit mystified as they also told her that the show would put the actress in a blonde wig, because O’Brien was a brunette.
