RHOBH and Ex-DAYS Lisa Rinna After Seeing Farrah Abraham's Botched Lip Job: "I Apologize For Starting This S—t 26 Years Ago, Please Forgive Me!"

Former Days of our Lives star and current cast member of Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna has made no bones over the years that she had her lips injected with silicone to make them appear plumper!

Now, Rinna offered an apology to those who followed in her footsteps in getting a lip job that backfired, and in particular after seeing the horrible pictures of Teen Mom, Farrah Abraham who posted on Instagram the result of her injections to her kisser.  Upon seeing the outcome Rinna related, “I apologize for starting this s—t 26 years ago, please forgive me.”   That post has since been deleted from Rinna’s Instagram account.

Lisa made her lip saga public in on The Today Show with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb according to US Weekly, back in 2013 commenting  “Here’s the story: 25 years ago, I had my lips injected with silicone. Stupid thing to do at 24. I saw Beaches. Remember that movie Beaches?” she continued in reference to Barbara Hershey’s lips in the 1988 movie. “I did it with my best girlfriend, so she and I go and we get our lips done. Fine. I have it like that for my whole career, right? So then cut to a couple of years ago, I have a doctor remove as much as they possibly can because it got to the point where they were yucky. You know, they get hard,” she explained. “It’s gross. They are now whatever that was after they took out as much of the silicone as they could.”

So, what do you think of Lisa’s comment to Farrah Abraham?  What do you think of Lisa’s longtime lip saga? Are you enjoying seeing her mix it up on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Tuesdays on Bravo? Weigh-in below!

It is their own stupid fault.. they have to know what they doing / research .. I worked for a plastic surgeon for 7 years and can spot everything someone had done lol 1st.. never ever put silicone in your lips.. silicone is permanent .. if it is botched it can not be corrected.. if you don’t like it, it’s yours the rest of your life.. you put your own fat in your lips.. A strip of fat from your temple area.. Fat will fade away .. only 30% will stick.. people with lip work can’t say ‘work’ correctly or… Read more »

You make good points, su0000, and I am all in favor of personal responsibility. What you do to your body by choice is a decision you have to own and take the consequences for. But I also blame the culture, which is obsessed with looks and sends some pretty sick messages to young people, particularly to young women. Actors/actresses are especially vulnerable, and again, actresses seem to feel the pressure most acutely. It would be nice to think that everyone would be sane enough and grounded enough (and strong enough) to withstand the pressure, but a lot of people just… Read more »

“Incidentally, since you mentioned you worked for a plastic surgeon: how about some responsibility on the part of the medical profession? Some of this stuff, they should just be saying no to”

When you have an idiot like the doctor who made “Octomom” a freaking household name, I don’t expect ANY responsibility from the medical community. These procedures are no different, unfortunately.

Michael (not Fairman) I didn’t mean to come off snarky with YOU. I reread my comments and I should have ended it with a smiley face, Because I agree with everything you said because it is logical. Unfortunately the so-called medical community and the people getting these procedures is not.

I got that completely, Domino; no worries at all. (And I have to agree: surely there are some plastic surgeons and other doctors who behave ethically, but clearly there’s also a substantial percentage who will simply do whatever the client can pay for, even if it’s incredibly irresponsible. Maybe the profession itself needs to tighten the ethical standards?)

I have to agree 100% with you, su! I predict in 5 to 10 years from now, actresses with thin lips like Julia Stiles will be the new Twiggy. All these fake trout-pout/joker faces are going to be a laughingstock (not that they are not already). I am ashamed for saying this, but I got sucked into watching CELEBRITY APPRENTICE this time. It is so hard to watch so many women with work done. Brandi Glanville was a beautiful woman and now she has the Joker’s face. Even when they have a little something done (like Leeza Gibbons), you can… Read more »

To me, Lisa Rinna’s lips are sexy, I remember watching DAYS in the 90s as a teen and thinking…”who is this Billie character with these gorgeous lips??” haha….that being said, she did it when no one wanted or had big lips, now, present day, it’s all the rage. I was made fun of for having “full” lips when I was younger, I am African American, now all my friends LOVE my lips, haha!!!

I’ll take your word for it, Su. I don’t even think about it right now….but, we women are ,somewhat , all vain. I’m sure I will contemplate a face-lift twenty years from now. No hot lips, though….I already have those. LOL. later.

I don’t know…I think Lisa may have just wanted another quote…because in actuality I don’t think she started the trend..or at least no one is doing it to follow in her footsteps. As for a person’s own fault/taking responsibility, that’s true. But it’s also the fault of doctors who do this procedure knowing the risks. Yes, there are a lot of procedures, medications, cosmetics, chemicals that unfortunately we all either do, take use or are exposed to. Doesn’t make it right. All of these things should be banned…and a doctor certainly should be thinking more with his conscience and less… Read more »

For many, many years Lisa denied having lip injections. She claimed her lips were “natural”…despite the obvious.

I’ve always liked Lisa Rinna, whether it was in scripted series, reality shows, or on talk shows. She seems genuine and can be quite funny.

Why is she apologizing? She didn’t invent the procedure, she didn’t force anyone else to have it done. She may have been one of the first “names” that came forward to say they done it, but I doubt she was the first one who did. She is as responsible for this as Al Gore was responsible for the internet.

I thought her lips were natural until she confessed. Good for Lisa for getting it removed. As for apologizing–I don’t think she has anything to apologize for. If people are stupid enough to get lip injections and it backfires, that’s on them.

I’ve never seen lips that have been artificially enhanced come across as natural. The only actress I can think of with plump natural lips is Angelina Jolie.
Some actresses and actors as well just go too far with all the cosmetic enhancements. I don’t fault an actress for undergoing a little “lift” in order to keep working and some have excellent subtle work done. But the ones who go to the extreme with injections, enhancements, modifications, etc., the end result is usually
an unnatural appearance.

NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell Says Peacock Hit 18M Paid Subscribers Up From 15M In September

On Monday, during a webcast session at the UBS TMT investors conference, NBC Universal CEO, Jeff Shell shared that the NBCUniversal streaming service, Peacock has hit 18 million paid subscribers.

Interestingly, that is an uptick of 3 million paid subscribers since the end of September of this year, where the service had 15 million.

Photo: NBCUniversal

As soap fans know, Days of our Lives debuted exclusively in its new home on Peacock on September 12th, and viewers who watched on linear TV and NBC had to switch modes and pay-in for a subscription to watch the show.  However, there has been no quantifying data released on just how well DAYS is performing on the platform.

In terms of its sustainability and its ad-supported streaming platform, Shell added: “We were late coming into streaming, but we clearly chose the right business model.”  Shell noted that this strategy has helped offset declines in linear TV revenues, and a worsening advertising market.

The CEO went to explain: “We believe in the premium video ad-supported, dual revenue stream essential broadcast and cable on streaming, driven by key programming.” Shell also shared that declines in cable subscribers is putting pressure on affiliate fees and advertising rates, so it’s becoming more important than ever for Peacock revenues to offset falling cable TV revenues and that the TV ad business is “definitely getting worse.”

So, what do you think of the uptick of subscribers to Peacock since September? Is Days of our Lives a key player in this? Have you gotten use to watching your favorite soap on the streaming platform? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

DAYS Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes Pay Tribute to Robert Clary

Days of our Lives beloved Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Doug and Julie Williams), paid tribute to their longtime co-star and dear friend, Robert Clary (Ex-Robert LeClair, DAYS).

On Wednesday, Clary passed away at the age of 96.  On Days of our Lives, Bill Hayes and Robert Clary performed many times together as Doug and Robert when the soap opera had “Doug’s Place” as a nightclub venue for the characters to meet up and have story, while also taking in some music.

Bill and Susan shared their thoughts on Clary’s passing on their Instagram on Thursday; accompanied by some clips of performances by the characters of Doug and Robert.

The Hayes’ expressed: “Our Dear Robert Clary… Like a diamond, Robert was tough enough to survive this world and emerge brilliantly. He was so full of life… so saucy, so sassy, so superb at everything he tried. The energy and optimism that filled his 96 years was amazing to behold.  When he performed with pathos or joy, he always touched our hearts. He was an adoring husband, a firm friend, a trustworthy team player and, in crisis, deeply caring. In childhood, he had experienced humanity’s darkest days- then, as a man, filled the world with light.  His story in two words to remember: choose life. #RobertClary”

Share your remembrances of Bill and Robert performing on DAYS, and what you thought of the Hayes’ touching tribute via the comment section below.
