Robin Riker Returns To General Hospital!

Photo: RobinRiker.com
Naomi Dreyfus will never win “Mother of the Year”, but by the end of this year, she will be back on the canvas on General Hospital. That means her portrayer, soap vet Robin Riker will be making a return to the ABC soap opera.
According to the lastest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) mom who was carted off to jail in September after claiming that she, not Hayden, took those diamonds and did not turn them over to the feds, will be back by the end of the month.
With Hayden being in a precarious position healthwise, and her budding relationship with Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), what could Riker’s return mean?
There is also the issue of Naomi having had an affair with Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) dead, Jeff Webber. Thus causing the revelation that Hayden an Liz are really half-sisters. And speaking of Jeff, will he finally return to Port Charles? Many questions to ponder.
So, what do you think will happen when Naomi returnns to GH? Comment below!

Anthony Geary’s Husband, Claudio Gama, Shares Remembrance of How Much the ‘General Hospital’ Legend Loved Working with Erika Slezak
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been five months since the passing of General Hospital icon and eight-time Daytime Emmy winning actor, Anthony Geary. Since the news of Tony’s passing at the age of 78, broke last December 14, 2025, tributes have poured in from Geary’s co-stars, and GH even honored the incredible legacy of Luke Spencer on a special episode where the characters take a moment to remember him.
On-screen, Luke had died in 2022. Geary retired from the soap in 2015, to spend his life full-time in Amsterdam with his husband, Claudio Gama and only made one other brief appearance in 2017 to usher off Jane Elliot, who at that time was leaving as Tracy Quartermaine.
Gama, has continued to provide memories of his beloved husband over the past many months as he continues to mourn his loss. Now, with it being the 5-month mark since Tony’s death, Claudio took to his Instagram to share how Tony felt about his leading ladies, and in particular, in this post, six-time Daytime Emmy winner, and One Life to Live icon, Erika Slezak (ex-Viki).

Photo: ABC
It was back in 2010 that then ABC Daytime launched the What If series which featured crossover vignettes or mini-stories which crossed a character from one soap in their daytime line-up with a character from another soap. And of course, the one that every one waited for was to see Erika and Tony act together for the first time.
In fact, after Geary’s passing and as previously reported, Erika Slezak shared a statement, on her official website, Erika expressed, “I am so terribly saddened by the death of Tony Geary. He was a charming man, a brilliant actor and all together a very nice man. I send my sincerest condolences to his husband Claudio, and I will keep him in my prayers. We had such fun together when we did the What If crossover promotions in 2010. I thoroughly enjoyed him and loved watching him on television.”
LUKE SPENCER AND VICTORIA LORD MEET
In his new post, Gama wrote: “It has been exactly six months since you left to be up there, where the stars shine for eternity. I miss you so much every day. I miss your smile, your warm hugs that wrapped me in love. Rest in peace, my love. Max and I miss you and will always love you. Greetings to everyone from Amsterdam — it’s a holiday here today, Hemelvaartsdag (Ascension Day). I’m going to do a little work, then head back home to Max and continue sorting through more videos and photos. So many tears, but also so many beautiful memories, and those keep me going. Have a safe and healthy week”
Claudio then added, “Tony always loved Erika Slezak, a truly classy lady. As Tony would say about all the talented ladies he worked with, he was always a gentleman. I was just told it is 5 months actually but it feels like a long time.”
With that, as you can see in the Instagram post below, Claudio posted the What If Luke Spencer crossed paths with Victoria Lord, as they get stuck in an elevator together. Check that out, followed by the What If Series Promo. The What If series was the brainchild of current General Hospital executive producer, Frank Valentini.
Now let us know, what did you think about Claudio’s heartfelt message missing his husband, Tony? Did you love seeing Tony and Erika together in the What If series? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Cullum’s Got Plans to Keep Brennan Out of His Way
On General Hospital, the Wednesday, May 13 episode saw Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) plotting to keep Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) from ever being a problem for him again, as Lucas (Van Hansis) reveals his hopes for a plan to rid the world of Cullum and his co-conspirator, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in one fell swoop.
At the hospital, Nina (Cynthia Watros) is still freaked out by what she did by jabbing Jack with the dose of medication meant for Drew (Cameron Mathison). Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) comes to the hospital to try to get her mother to get a grip and then heads out to do damage control.
Cullum arrives and questions Nina about Jack’s medical condition. Nina lies and tells Cullum he should talk to Dr. Lucas Jones about Jack. In a tense exchange, Cullum shows Lucas he has documents that make him Brennan’s medical proxy and wants an update on his condition. Britt stumbles upon the scene and comes up with a fake emergency in another patients room to pull Lucas away from the WSB director.

STARING MY BOYFRIEND’S KILLER IN THE FACE
Now alone in the hallway, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) warned Lucas that if he acts like that around Cullum, he will get suspicious. Lucas says they should just tell Sidwell that Cullum stabbed Marco, so Cullum will be killed and Sidwell would be sent to prison. Lucas drops the idea realizing if Cullum dies Britt cannot get her hands on her Huntington’s disease medication. However, Lucas warned Britt how everything would explode once Sidwell found out that Cullum killed Marco, so they have to be certain that they have the evidence that Cullum’s the culprit.
Inside Jack’s room, Cullum tells an unconscious Jack that his stroke may have saved his life, because he planned to kill him. Meanwhile, Willow arrived at Wyndemere to see Sidwell. She explains that Jack accidentally got the dose of Drew’s medication and kept her mother’s name out of it. Sidwell is livid.

TWO MEN HAD “STROKES” AT MY HOUSE!
Willow thinks it’s time to stop drugging Drew so that people would be focusing on his recovery, rather than the odds that two different men had “strokes’ at Drew’s house. Willow threw the responsibility back on Sidwell telling him that he needed to figure out a way to make sure Drew didn’t expose them. Next, Sidwell reminded Willow that he gives the orders around here and not her. For good measure, he threatens that if they were exposed, she would have the most to lose.
At the end of the episode, and at Wyndemere, Sidwell informed Cullum that Brennan had been dosed with Drew’s medication. When Sidwell declared that things would go from bad to worse when Brennan wakes up and out of his locked-in state, then Cullum fired back, “Then he can’t come out of it.”

Meanwhile, Willow unexpectedly shows up at Michael’s (Rory Gibson) office while Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is there. She demands to talk to her ex-husband now, as the photo of Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow looking close snapped by the private eye is sitting on Michael’s desk.
So, do you think Sidwell should be the one to kill Cullum and then be carted off to prison … 0r, would you like to see Willow get caught for murdering someone since she got away with shooting Drew? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, check out the threatening exchange between Willow and Sidwell from today’s GH.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Rocco is Coming Apart at the Seams
On the Tuesday, May 12 episode of General Hospital, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) was at its epicenter and the secret which is destroying him. Previously, Rocco shot WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) in the back to stop him from killing Jason (Steve Burton) and to save Britt (Kelly Thiebaud).
However, the consequences of Rocco’s actions are weighing so heavy on him, that now he is starting to crack, and with good reason! While Rocco has been suffering in silence, he is wracked with guilt over Jason taking the fall for him, being carted away by the WSB, and worse yet, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) losing his father.
While Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) confronts “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about how he covered-up and “advised” Lulu (Alexa Havins) to stay quiet about the night on the pier which saw Rocco shoot Cullum, Dante can clearly see that the man in front of him seems off. His responses and demands and insights are not those of the good-natured “Nathan.” Will Dante be the one, or the last to know that “Nathan” is really Cassius Faison?

STAY AWAY FROM MY SON
In yet another confrontation, Lulu and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) go at it over Rocco. Lulu blames Britt for Rocco being on the pier at all that night, because Rocco cares about Britt, and she warned her not to get close to Rocco, but Britt did anyway.
Then, at the Quartermaine boathouse, Rocco was shocked to learn that Danny overheard Sonny saying that Jenz Sidwell was responsible for Jason getting taken away, and confided in Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) the intel several weeks ago. Rocco tried to cover his guilt as Danny and Charlotte explained they hadn’t confided in him because he has been so withdrawn lately.

ROCCO AND DANNY AT ODDS
Next, Danny asks Rocco to help him and Charlotte break into Wyndemere. Danny is determined to get info on Sidwell to try to find Jason. It’s at that point Rocco loses it. He shouts that Sidwell is a dangerous man and Danny needs to stay away from him.
In the most surprising turn of event, Rocco threatened both Charlotte and Danny that if they tried to sneak into Wyndemere he would turn them in.
Danny loses his cool and firmly tells Rocco, that unlike him, he didn’t have parents to clean up his problems for him and told Rocco to stay out of his way. As Rocco walked away, he asks Charlotte if she was coming with him. When she refuses, he tells the both to screw off.

THE ONLY PERSON I CAN TALK TO
Later, Britt returns to her room at Bobbie’s and finds Rocco waiting for her. He begins to share with her how freaked out he has been feeling over shooting Cullum. Britt hugs him and attempts to comfort Rocco letting him know he is a hero for saving her life and Jason’s. Britt tells Rocco she can talk to her anytime, as the two hug one more time. We fade to black.
Finn Carr delivered another excellent performance within his storyline. It’s clear GH made the right call by giving this young actor the ball with such a high stakes dramatic and emotional storyline to play.
So, do you think Danny will find out what Rocco did and come after him for letting his dad take the fall for shooting Cullum? Do you think Rocco will continue to turn to Britt, further upsetting Lulu? Will Dante get a clue about Cassius? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, in case you missed it, check out the emotional moments between Rocco and Britt on yesterday’s GH below.

I think the writers’ will have to decide if they are going to do a recast of jeff webber if Richard dean Anderson doesn’t want to return if he was asked to come back. Because jeff thinks he only has 2 daughters and/or will we see the person that hayden always thought was her father? I think there’s more to the diamonds than viewers have been told. Speaking of telling, when do sarah and steven find out they have another sister?
it’d be great if Richard Dean Anderson would return…. he looks good… even weight gain hasn’t lessened his appeal.
I wonder, tho
would GH hire , Robert Newman, ex-Josh, GL ? I think he’d be amazing… and would be spot on … and an amazing DAD to Liz… of course these riles Hayden to no end…
PLUS: as some posts have shared…. is Jane Elliott ‘ Tracy really retiring…. ?
Robert Newman and Jane Elliott…. for the WIN…. WOW
Jane Elliot retiring ? Oh dear perish the thought !
She looks absolutely fabulous !
And she must keep the Q’s relevant and on the canvas.
Hi All…..yes, yes, yes to all of this and a cigarette afterwards please!
I returned to GH a few years ago, and Jane Elliot looked nothing like she does today. Not only younger, more energetic in the way she walks and moves around, and loss of weight, more becoming attire and hairdo. I can’t say enough about the changes in her whole personna. It would be a great loss to GH and the viewers if she leaves, so this had better be a biig rumour.
I keep saying he needs to play Liz or Sharon’s dad on Y&R, maybe both because he’s that good and there’s only 4 soaps on air in daytime so let’s get an extra helping of him! Great idea Patrick:)
Would like to see her on for awhile with a good storyline….
Me too. She needs some romance. Love her and Quinn, but not that way.
Correction! Dr. Finn not Quinn.
GMAB! I’m sick of a 19 year vet like Becky Herbst having to prop the hateful sanctimonious Hayden. Naomi is not needed especially on this already bloated cast.
WTH haven’t they brought back Jeff (a character we know & are invested in) at least for an arc?
We’re expected to believe Liz hasn’t contacted Jeff about Hayden over the last 3 months??She’s just sitting on that? This “poor pitiful ” Hayden backstory is insulting especially since Hayden has routinely called Liz a slut, her kids bastards & acts like she’s better than Liz. Liz has worked since 15, been raped, abandoned by her parents w/a friggin’ neighbor in Colorado, etc… Liz’s abandonment issues should be addressed instead of trying to prop up newbie # 7925 on GH’s already grossly bloated cast
Scoma60 – I salute you. telling it like it is.
“I was once” a Hayden Fan. she came on like gangbusters… WITH Nicholas. Magic.. but then again… their always is… with Tyler Christopher.
GMAB: GH writers decided Nicholas was not good enough…. Frank Valentini WANTS to prop his pets…
this is another post… that had me roaring with laughter.
Wil replied December 3rd, 2016 at 10:10 pm
RB can reprise Greenlee. Hayden can die of Finn’s disease.
it’s the perfect scenario, right ?
ps: until Hayden TREATS Liz with respect… oohh i’m chomping at the bit.
plus: I couldn’t stand it… when Kiki stepped up and decided it was best that she quit working @Metro Court.
Carly: “That’s a very mature decision”
HUH? I kept telling myself… Carly will apologize to Kiki for how she ripped Kiki a new hole… with her overkill rant… because she fell out of love with MOrgan.
so… until Carly mans up… and apologizes to Kiki. i’m so done with her.
case in point: back to the same ole BS… as Ava went over to talk to Sonny about parental rights with Ava… since he confessed to killing Morgan. their were these two bullys… with no charisma OR personality corralling Ava… blackmail begets
I can’t help but know… when the show features Sonny and Carly… I immediately think of a vacuum… they suck the life out of the show. dullard.
I agree with ALL of you…Rebecca deserves better…I am sickened that RD has to be kept and take good airtime from her…not to mention what I refer to as the Nelly portion of the show
Who are these guys kidding? We all know Hayden and Finn aren’t dying. This storyline is absolutely ridiculous.Prop, prop and more prop for Hayden. Finn has been on for almost a year and still no name for this disease. It’s as if the writers are making things up as they go along. There is no way in hell I will like this Hayden character. I don’t care if you give her a deadly disease or try to soften her. Not buying it and tired of it. They are turning Michael Easton back into a head scratching Silas and it bothers me. He needs his mojo back. Forced pairings never end up working.
Patrick, I just want to applaud you for this: “I can’t help but know… when the show features Sonny and Carly… I immediately think of a vacuum… they suck the life out of the show. dullard.”
To those still drinking that “Sonny and Carly Kool-Aid”: See, there are plenty of us detractors!
Rebecca Budig hasn’t found a good spot to fit in on this soap. Hayden’s role is essentially that of a misfit. Naomi Dreyfus? Who cares and who needs her on this soap? GH the last few years has gone in the direction of parading characters in and out for periods of time. Revolving door. If we’re lucky with this storyline, Richard Dean Anderson will pop in for a while. Then he’ll be gone. Good grief. I still miss OLTL and AMC – much more interesting writing and stable casting.
You make a good point. As I stated, they just dropped the whole Jeff Weber thing and moved on to freaky Franco creepin on Liz and now we get this Tom Baker dude. Yeah, not ONCE did Liz say, yeah I called Jeff and asked him about Hayden. That is an OMG moment in her life and these moronic writers dusted it back under the rug so we can watch Sonny sleep with Lolita!
Now, now, Sonny didn’t sleep with Lolita. He just thinks he did. If he’d use his head, he’d know better (oops). She made him believe it, and I can’t wait to find out why!
Liz has a sister Sara. Why ignore her and change history just to tie this character of Hayden to the canvas? First she’s Jake Doe’s wife then she is with Nicholas. Propped by Nicholas, Tracy, Elizabeth,
Finn, Monica. Now her Mom is back. But what takes the cake is making her financial officer of GH . It is absolutely insulting. ENOUGH!
How and why should we be invested in this sickness when we know what the outcome will be? This storyline stinks and I really like MIchael Easton. Hayden, not much at all.I resent the fact the propping is non stop. It really makes me dislike the character.
She is a good actress and Naomi could be an interesting character. I just wish they would bring Jeff back. That story or rumor fell flat on its face! Also, how about they cast her ex-husband?
Im glad im not the only one who types errors…that should be dad not dead-lol….Robert Newman as Jeff Webber…dont matter that he is 8 years younger than RDA-if they could get Anderson back that would be great but i have my doubts…Patrick Duffy ok too…Ron Moss looks the part but some dont like his acting!!!
Really digging Gil Bellows(Ally McBeal) on Eyewitness on USA. Would be a great addition to GH, as Jeff.
Too young as Jeff…but maybe as somebody else
I suppose you’re right, didn’t think that thru.
First of all , why can’t I get my replys to the right person? Drives me crazy! Have you seen Ron Moss lately? Looks like Santa Claus. The man I could see Tracy with is Ron Raines from GL who plays the handsome, rich tycoon to the hilt! I know he’s busy with his Broadway stuff and whatever else he’s into these days, but they would really be good together. P.S , he’s only 67 , not too old for Tracy??
i like Ron from GL-think i mentioned him for one of the roles-he could be recurring which would get him time to fly back to New York…but Jeff was Monica’s ex…would like to see them together first
I guess this is good news but it hardly merits an exclamation mark at the end of the headline.
GH could really use some super good news–like an announcement of a new EP and writing regime,
Haydn’s mother returns because her daughter is dying.
She probably has a body part that will save Hayden lol ..
Love Robin Riker. Michael E. Knight would be a great Jeff Webber.
He sure was great on Y&R but some dummy let him go. Was so good in his part.
I am all for anything that broadens Elizabeth’s storyline, as she is the ONLY current link (“relative”-ly speaking) to original character, Steve Hardy. So if Steve’s biological son, Jeff, were to ever return, that would be another link, and I would be ecstatic!
But why expand any links to legacy characters and families when the despicable character of Sonny can simply permeate every single storyline on this show every single day?!?! (Sorry, but I couldn’t resist…) 🙂
James…dude…to me, the second paragraph in your post particularly SPEAKS VOLUMES!!!!! Oh…and…as far as I’m concerned, there will NEVER BE anything romantic (or whatever) about a character aka Sonny who is nothing but two-faced, toxic, slimy, sleazy and hypocritical. BEYOND BLECH!!!!!
Have a good one, Brother.
Thank you, Jay!
Why don’t the powers that be
Listen to you and to me?
Take care, Brother!
@ Robbie…Loved Gil Bellows on Ally McBeal! Such a cutie! Haven’t seen him in anything since. Glad to know he’s still acting. (Responding from my phone. For some reason it doesn’t place my comments under the “reply” choice…
First I had seen him too, really enjoying the series too. Check it out. Enjoy!
With GH most of the shock and awe is at how they don’t build suspense and that the stories always seem to lack real excitement. Wow… Hayden is Liz’ sister! Only one surprised by that will be Liz!
I would loveeeeeee to see RDA back as Jeff!! I used to love hum back in the day … Ooh Anne/Jeff/Heather/Diane such good GH back then …. If they have to recast then I say bring Robert Newman in but otherwise try like hell to get Richard back even for a short story arc! It would being great history and hopefully a few good scenes with Robin M too!
Since Richard Burgi was already squandered on the character of Paul, I think Robert Newman or any of the myriad of actors who played Frank Ryan on Ryan’s Hope would make a fine Jeff Webber.
Ugg….another show to check out! Lol…my DVR is going to self-combust! Thanks Robbie…I’ll look for it!
