Tyler Christopher Joins The Cast Of New Indie Film!

Courtesy/ABC
Daytime Emmy winner, Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) who recently wrapped up the film, The New Wife is getting ready to shoot another. Now comes word that the actor will star in the indie feature film project, Pretty Broken. In it, Tyler will portray Jerry Carlyle, a former kids cable access TV show star, now a self-proclaimed role model for his used car sales team, who uses his southern charm and one-liners to win over the ladies.
The film is directed by Brett Eichenberger, from an award winning script penned by Jill Remensynder and is produced by Leonian Pictures and Resonance Productions.
The story follows Lindsey Lou (Jillian Clare), an unemployed, college drop-out on the verge of divorce who finds herself couch surfing at her childhood home while her family grieves the death of her father. As the family tries to put the past behind them, Lindsey fights to keep his memory alive before her mother (Paula Trickey) replaces him with a younger man (Christopher). The film which is 2/3 of the way done is going back into production on September 8th in Portland, Oregon.
AS GH fans know, Tyler has been gone from General Hospital since May of this year. His likeness was removed from the opening credits of GH this week as well as mentions in the the closing credits. In story, Nikolas then played by Nick Stabile) was shot and fell to his “death” on Cassadine Island. But fans are hoping for an upcoming return of Christopher to reprise the role he originated.
So, what do you think of Tyler’s new film gig? Comment below!
I am happy for him obviously he is not coming back anytime soon I would live to know why the powers. At be let him slip from their fingers.
When Nik does come back? I hope he and Miss Lizzie pay for their crimes.
Why is Elizabeth the victim?
How sweet! Sorry, you have do much venom for someone you do not know. It must be so hard for you to carry all this rage around; seeing red over a fictional character. You do realize Liz is not real, right?
But, if I were any thinner, I’d disappear. I love Elizabeth. Everyone on these sites knows that. Plus, I also love the actress who plays Liz.
Oh, I am a vegetarian. Well, except for salmon….I loooove salmon, and sushi. No meat!!
You are a big bully, leave Celia alone. Your hateful comment should be blocked. Attacking someone like that is crazy, go take your meds. Celia we all love you, on this site.
Grazie, (thank you), Claudio. I love you, too. Now, you made me shed a few tears. You are so kind, dear friend.
I cherish people such as yourself (to name a couple: Timmm, and James) …thank you, again, for having my back. Smiles. If I could kiss you, I would. LOL.
Celia you very welcome, I love your comments on this site. You make my day. I have your back, no one deserves to be bullied and sworn at. I love you too my friend, you take care and god bless.
Yes, I saw that too CeeCee. That was weird. I guess the moderators noticed it too late because as we now see it was removed.
@Claudio.
TY…God bless!
Celia…Claudio is RIGHT!!!!! My dear, you are very, very LOVED on this site!!!!! As far as I’m concerned, bullies are nothing but OVERGROWN IDIOTS!!!!! Oh…and BTW, I hope that your ear infection goes away…quickly.
Later, my friend.
@Jaybird369.
Thank you, my friend. Your kind words ( and everyone’s) mean a lot.
@Jaybird.
Thank you again, my friend. LOL…my husband diagnosed me with swimmer’s ear. It hurt like nothing else for a while. Better , now.
Well, what can I say, Jay? We must take some things in stride, especially from someone who means nothing in our lives.
I feel sorry for this person.
But, I admire the moderators for removing that comment. I am sure it was a slip, and not meant to be posted.
Love you, Jay.
I have to say Claudio that the way you put it…”you’re a big bully” was gallant but very cute as well!
Thank you, Celia! My mom also watches and always feels sorry for the ‘eternal victim’ Miss Elizabeth.. but anytime she does something underhanded, I always say, “That’s the Elizabeth I KNOW!” The stunt she pulled with Jake Doe/Jason was the last straw for me.
That was my point exactly, Soaphound. And, Liz got away with it. Why?
Will the truth about her keeping Nik’s secret ever come out? This secret ‘ghost’ will end up in the cavernous catacombs with the rest of the Cassadine ‘bones’.
I wonder if Liz will think twice about ‘socking’ it to Hayden when she discovers they’re sisters; OR will this truth make her despise Hayden even more!!??
Oh, BTW…are ‘they’ turning Alexis into a lush?
Lol…she DESERVES a drink (s)! Doncha think? Julian’s going to be set free…Paul will be blackmailed into destroying the evidence and then my Alexis is REAlLLY going to hit the bottle!
Yeah, she does, Rebecca. But, it’s the first thing she noticed when she ‘walked into the party’. Oh, that Carly!! LOL. There’s a drink; and then, there’s a succession of drinks.
I feel for her….all women in a difficult situation such as this.
From a sext up mid life wife to a middle aged drunk! I feel for her daughters!
HaHa….It’s a catch 22, Timmmy. Is Alexis turning to alcohol to STOP imagining seeing Julian, or is she hallucinating BECAUSE of the alcohol? What a plight!!
Wow!!!! I did not expect for TPTB to do this to Alexis. I hope her daughters are there to pick her up when she falls.
However, Timmmy ( and you may or may not perceive this, as a man….but, I hope you are THAT sensitive to a woman’s feelings), I do not like the direction Alexis is taking. I am so sick and tired; get so frustrated when women are depicted as these delicate flowers falling off the wagon because of a d**khead-man.
We are so much better and stronger than that!!!!!! Alexis should pick her head up; hold it high; straighten her shoulders; raise her fist snd SHOUT: ” I AM WOMAN”!!!!!!.
‘Nite, my Timmmy.
Dear, dear, oh dear…CeeCee. LOL.
First, just imagine me being pissed at the “sext up mid life” to “middle-aged drunk” comment! Yes…I know that wasn’t you who said that. But still, once again these references to age on EVERY freaking topic is beyond annoying. I could care less if Alexis or Alex, Barbara or Bob, Sally or Sal…had SEX at any age or started drinking at any age or had a breakdown at any age…because the AGE isn’t what matters. It’s the human experience…the joys…that would be sex…and the sorrows…that would be when the person you love and are having said sex with who happens to be your spouse tries to slit your throat!
Ahem. My point is let’s not lose site of the fact this is a soap so without conflict there’d be no story, Alexis just had her marriage ripped out from under her, all her dreams dashed, had to wear a wire on her husband to entrap him, was threatened with her very life, lost her identity as a lawyer which is her very essence, had her daughter go through a sexual identity crisis and then this same daughter lash out at her and basically rips her heart out…I’d say Alexis is coping as best she can. It’s not too much of a stretch to see someone crumble incrementally from despair, loss, shock, emotional trauma….she’s lost everything with the exception of her daughters…her love, trust, marriage, profession. In true soapy fashion I think it’s fine to see her fall a apart…she’s held her strength for a really long time and now as the trial nears she’s cracking. With her credibility on the line coupled with Paul being blackmailed into destroying evidence against Julian that’ll set the stage for Julian’s release and more soapy drama. I like it. I know not everyone will agree. Even the strongest among us crumble…I have no doubt Alexis will find her way back…
Hey, Rebecca,
You’re right, it’s the character being discussed. We do not really want to go backwards, do we? I love Michelle/Nine to no end. Now, she has been hanged from the mightiest oak, pushed, shoved, disgraced, defamed and called a sl*t by different posters, making me reel with annoyance.
I answer in a ‘jovial’ manner, always keeping in mind that it IS, indeed, A SOAP.
In my Timmmy’s defense….he’s a kidder and soooo very lovable. If I knew him, personally; I’d want to be his friend….as so many others on these boards, as I have indicated to Claudio.
There are those of us that feel that certain age dictates certain sets of rules and decorum. You may not feel that way……that’s fine, but we cannot point fingers and berate those who do not.
I love this new Alexis. And, I commiserate her plight. She gave her heart to Julian….her all….and, in return, he tried to kill the very heart she so passionately and lovingly gave to him.
It’s a soap….love scenes are expected. But, I made the mistake of killing the messenger. Alexis was that messenger. I just found it hard to digest how she was written. Why? I suppose I, stupidly, compared her behavior to my mother’s…..all she and Julian did was have sex….before and after. I just expected so much more substance between two people.
I see what’s unfurling, Rebecca. I may not relate, but, I am a woman, first and foremost….with a woman’s tender feelings, heart and thoughts.
I know Alexis’s world came tumbling down. I suppose after all the trauma in her life, she broke!!
But, please understand that this is the crux of the matter, as far as I’m concerned; and, the point I tried to make……that is, the writers could have handled this differently. I think Alexis could have taken the bull by the horns, per se…..why have her turn to alcohol? There is still time to stop this one-two punch to Alexis gut and show she has a backbone.
All’s well, Rebecca. Enjoy your week-end. I am stuck home with an ear infection. Imagine!! At my age!!!!
Oh, I forgot, LOL.
RE: Franco. Something about him is gnawing at me. I don’t know why. I think you know how I feel about Roger. Love him to pieces. But, I see a change in him. My imagination? Maybe. I think his mother’s influence will be his undoing.
As far as Elizabeth, whom I also love , needs to come clean, in order to cleanse herself and not start a relationship with a very dubious character, such as Franco.
Yes, he’s enormously caring. When he loves, he loves all the way—-no in-between. Admirable.
But, if these two are starting a life together, then let them start on the right foot. LOL.
I guess, it would not be a soap if things went smoothly.
Excellent post, Bec. My favorite line is,” …”without conflict, there would be no story.”
I could see Alexis developing a drinking problem after what she has endured. This happens.
And it’s never too late to become an alcoholic–some are born and some are made. So if they address the issue of alcoholism reasonably and realistically, I am all for it. This is a life destroying disease which afflicts many people.
Ceecee…you and I are not going backwards…however…because you find a poster “lovable” doesn’t mean I do. Matter of fact, I don’t. For the very reason you have taken to this person is the very reason I haven’t. He has antagonized many a time when not one comment was directed at him ant took sides as you know. He’s been your cheerleader. Thus, your online friendship and loyalty. I know you well enough and witnessed your reactions to people who haven’t been a fan of yours; you’re rightly angered. I wouldn’t presume to tell you to feel differently. Please respect my very justified feelings. They won’t change.
As for people who haven’t reached a certain age yet feel about people who have reached a certain age…I’ll simply say they don’t know what they’re talking about. We can go a few rounds but it’d be pointless. Just as people can’t step into the shoes of another race, sexual preference or gender, neither can a person under thirty step into the shoes of a middle-aged woman (or man) and say how she (or he) should feel or act. Who are any of us to judge anyone anyway??? It’s all societal rules that have no baring on how one should conduct their personal lives…so whiile we’re discussing fictional characters if the actor in reality is that age or that race or that religion and we judge how they “should” act, then we are judging our fellow posters who might be the same age, race or religion as the character.
For example, if you don’t like how a Catholic wedding is depicted and get offended and say that would NEVER happen that way and is so wrong, well I’ll assume you know better than me because I’m not Catholic. By The same token if a woman over forty lusts after her man, I can tell you, since I’m in my mid forties..that that’s beyond accurate. Lust doesn’t wane if chemistry is there. And you’ve said more than once that that’s all Julian and Alexis had was a sexual relationship and I say no, it’s not. We’re to assume that they have a life off camera. And, to play devil’s advocate, even if it WAS all they had in retrospect, passion is a powerful force. As for “decorum” Alexis always is sophisticated and savvy in public, her sexual relationship was always behind closed doors…the same with every other character.
I also think you have to loosen up a bit when watching soaps. Soaps wouldn’t be soaps without the messy relationships, the infidelities, the betrayals. They’re based on a constant, alternating thread of happiness and trouble. Good, evil, love, lust , hate, friends, enemies, rivalries, revenge. General Hospital in particular changed the face of soaps decades ago with Luke and Laura, his “rape” and their ensuing love…I mean, can ANY of us imagine that in real life!!!??? Same with Todd and Blair on OLTL. Todd raped a girl in college…and yet Blair was madly in love with him and married him. Unthinkable in reality, but somehow Todd became one of the most popular characters. It’s crazy…
Anyway, there’s no need to harp on a character’s age. Again. When harping on Alexis’s age, the person doing so is also making a comment (indirectly and unintentionally perhaps) but it’s still spewing out “mid-age” as a derogatory. Being strong, which Alexis is…she fought lung cancer, infidelity, her daughter sleeping with her husband, Helena killing her mother…and now all this. I’d say she’s entitled to fall apart for a while. To do so doesn’t make someone weak, just human and overwhelmed. And I don’t necessarily think they’re turning her into an alcoholic though I could be wrong. I just think they’re showing that she’s tried to remain strong, she did what had to be done, she’s still putting her daughter’s first and has had to remain intact. But trouble’s coming from all sides. Not sure if her hallucinations are stress related or medical but it makes sense with all she’s been through. Think of all Anna went through…she too fell apart.
Here we have again viewers who feel Laura barely reacted to her son’s death and I agree with that. That’s MUXH more unrealistic to me to have a mother as loving ads Laura shed a few tears and then pick herself up so easily. Alexis, with all the CUMULATIVE, simultaneous events would be in denial if she didn’t have a drink or two…or twenty.
Hugs! 🙂
Hi Harry…can I call you Har just without the ry? Hahah..ahem. Thanks for your response to my post. As I said to CeeCee, I’m not sure if Alexis will have a drinking problem but she seems to be spiraling. Sigh…she’s paid a mighty price when Carly, Ava, Sonny, Julian, Olivia, Sam, Liz, Jadon…need I go on? All these characters are either criminals or in love with criminals yet Alexis???? Alexis FINALLY gets a personal life again and she’s the one out of all them that takes the hit? Something’s rotten in Denmark! …..
@Rebecca1
this is Alexis rebirth and resurgence
it took all this time.. for the writers to RIGHT the WRONG of the character of NLG’ Alexis
what a deal… Nancy Lee Grahn gets acting chops
NO MORE… supreme court justice .. her staunch unwavering of Frigidaire
NEW lease on life… and who cares if she’s in mid life
if she’s out of the start gate.. imbibing… she’ll research her whole mindset and baby step her untouched unfettered waters with left out emotions and feeling
step outside the box Alexis… you’ve no one to answer to
just saying… the cats out of the bag
it’s an opportune time to challenge NLG
this is J &S turn to … keep them bumping in to each other… cat and mouse bonnie and clyde his and her… eye to eye straight on
the twist and turns are applicable here… theirs a lot of water going on between her legalese mindset and his stretch of mob
no need to hurry them back… as it’d be shown back in the sack
let’s see Alexis mind all her demons and argue her bible
Hi, Rebecca.
( I am out the door, but, it is uppermost in my head to say this)…..
Firstly, I agree with every, wise word you have said. I will take your well-phrased; well-rounded comment as a lesson learned.
I think you have witnessed my ‘growing up’ as it were, in these couple of years.
And, I do respect your opinions, believe it or not. I do think that Harry is right. We are mire slike than we think.
Yes, I am RCatholic, with a caravan of priests and nuns in the family. When my faith is misrepresented, I do get upset. I believe you said you are Jewish? Well, one of my brothers-in-law is a Sephardic Jew. Believe me, his family hits the roof (LOL) if a certain ‘rule’ or belief is broken or misrepresented.
By the same token some members of my family or his could care less…..
I have always liked Nancy Grahn. She’s authentic, beautiful and talented. But, there are a few aspects of Alexis that make me say, ‘hmmmm’. LOL.
Enjoy you Monday, Rebecca. I am very glad we are where we are….FRIENDS?????
Hi CeeCee, yes I agree about our being “more alike.” And yes, as you mention I definitely notice your “growing up” or let’s say being more open to seeing beyond your experience…you’re listening to my messages, hearing them and considering them. I’m glad you do now. We’ve both gotten past that “time” which lasted way too long in our MF roller coaster “relationship” and I think we both deserve credit for our new one. Yes, friends. 🙂
Happy Labor Day! And speaking of labor, you asked me if I am sensitive to women’s feelings? There is No human I respect more than a women who becomes a mother! Women are the driving force behind the success of ANY family! Dad’s are relevant but to have a strong women back a family, from birth on, a child should NEVER forget what a women did to become a mother!
Ahh, thank you, Timmmy.
I did expect exactly that answer from you, my friend. You are the best!!
Hey, Timmmy…
I was just corrected; LOL. Liz is an accessory to attempted murder AFTER THE FACT!!
That’s wonderful for Tyler! Wish him well. I do miss him on GH. I do hope he’s not paired with Ava if he returns.
I agree, Sandy. Maura Wells and Nick Stabile worked….but, I can’t say the same about Tyler and Maura.
I can see Nik and Liz. I am having some doubts about Franco and Liz, now. I feel that little evil imp raising its ugly head within Franco.
Really CeeCee. How so? Franco’s devoted to Liz. He’s still quirky but he when it comes to people he loves…Nina, Kiki, Carly (when they were engaged), Scotty, Liz and her boys…he has a heart of gold.
I agree, it was Maura West and NICK STABILE who had chemistry, not Tyler. Nick and Liz FINALLY! Kill Franco off please!
@Timmm.
Well, Timmmy. I do not want Roger to go. Franco just needs to steer clear of Heather, that’s all.
Ironically, I love Heather, as well. She slays me. Her twisted way of thinking is infectious. I am starting to see things her way…LOL. ( Nah).
I don’t like the way Franco is insinuating himself in Liz’s life and has this unreasonable dislike for Hayden. I did say that Liz would blame Hayden for her tumble down the stairs, before we saw Hayden on the landing.
Now, what’s puzzling to me is the fact that Liz doesn’t seem to have any qualms about what comes out of her mouth….no fear whatsoever, that Hayden KNOWS sooo much. What Liz did is a felony. She is an accessory to attempted murder ( Nik had Hayden shot). How does that work?
Guess he would rather be in films?
I have a feeling Tyler is not coming back to GH, if this is true bring back Nick Stabile.
Now, you’re talking, Ricardo. However, I want a different kind of Nik. The one I met two and a half years ago, when I started watching the show.
That role fits Nick Stabile like a glove. In that case, as I said, Nik and Ava should connect.
But, there’s always the chance he will hook up with Liz. We shall see what TPTB have in mind for both Nik and Liz. Nik is a criminal; and, Franco an ex-criminal who is starting to show signs of instability.
At this point in her life, Liz deserves better.
OK… I need to know… pronto stat
“His likeness was removed from the opening credits of GH this week as well as mentions in the the closing credits.”
last we heard… via “twitter” from the man himself… he’d be back on the GH set in September… thereby… ??? he’s on our telee in October ?
I hope his movies are blockbuster
I am happy for Tyler, too!
Glad, but he’ll be back
What i would really like to know is what the hell happened between him and the show? He had just won an Emmy that would have gotten him more story for him to carry. Something serious had to have gone down for him to break like this. Sure sucks to not see him or the character.
I’m so confused–is he coming back to GH or not? He’s one of my favorites on GH.
Good Luck to Tyler. Always liked Nick until this group of idiots turned him bad. That was not Nick.I have shut the show off so best to Tyler, I hope he gets lots of work. GH has returned to the Sonny show, that turns my stomach. I will NEVER watch Scott, Monica , and now every other character kiss sonnys arse and spout how he loves his children ?
Never cared.
Good luck to Tyler. He must see a hospital that is near bankruptcy! He may be back as the “dead” usually do.
Oh no! I was under the impression Tyler was coming back to GH at some point soon. Just read talks broke down and he’s out!

‘General Hospital’s’ Dominic Zamprogna Shares He Was ‘Happy to Hear’ of The Triangle Storyline Developing Between Dante/Elizabeth/Ric

General Hospital’s Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) opened up about the burgeoning love triangle forming between his Port Charles alter-go, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) after recently aired scenes, plus his hopes for the future of a Dante and Liz pairing, during his appearance on the Sunday, April 23 edition of the That’s Awesome podcast with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).
On last week’s episodes of GH, Ric has made the decision that he wanted to propose to his ex-wife, only when he showed up at Elizabeth’s front door, he misread the scenario he walked in with Liz tending to Dante’s injured leg from the softball game. From there, the legal eagle’s jealous streak is reemerging which may cause him to act out and do something unforgivable, or will he take the high road? Stay tuned.
Speaking with Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson about where Elizabeth stands in the annals of the long-running soap, Zamprogna said, “She’s up there with Steve and Maurice (Maurice Benard) as one of the most legacy-filled people on the show.”

HOW DANTE AND ELIZABETH CAME ABOUT
Dominic jokes it’s a far cry for where Dante and Elizabeth previously, recalling, “We had some scenes together years ago and we were both laughing. Becky’s like, ‘Well, I guess we’re not going be paired up anytime soon.’ I remember we laughed immediately after they yelled ‘cut,”‘and said to each other, ‘Well, so much for that!'”
Fast-forward to early 2025 and as Zamprogna remembered it, “Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) came up to me at the General Hospital Christmas party, and I think it was a year and a half ago and she said, ‘We’re going to have you in scenes with Elizabeth,’ My internal monologue is going, ‘I’m not with Lulu (Alexa Havins) anymore and Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) gone, so maybe they want to see if this works.’ I didn’t want to get scenes with Becky and try to find the chemistry. I just wanted to play whatever honestly was written and came across for both of us and hope it was what people liked, and I don’t know if it is … or not.”
Knowing how beloved Elizabeth is to the GH faithfuls, Zamprogna added, “She got a big fan base with Ric … and a big fan base with with Jason … and you know, you’re going to piss somebody off. But, didn’t Ric drug Elizabeth and put Carly in a panic room?”

Photo: ABC
DANTE AND ELIZABETH PAIRING COULD STIR UP STORY FOR OTHERS IN PORT CHARLES
In closing, Dominic felt that the wide-reaching tentacles of a Dante and Elizabeth relationship is something he is 100% down for. “The triangle thing; I was happy to hear it was with Ric and her, because I felt it’s important to have her the top of it as opposed to Dante, Lulu and Elizabeth.”
Zamprogna added, “When you get into relationships on a soap, things seem to fizzle out a little bit, The buildup is what’s the fun part, and the getting to know each other, and the people who are affected by this coming together. When with this case it’s going to affect: Ric, Sonny, Lulu. There’s so much more story here. To me, it’s going to be a fun story to play.”
You can check out Dominic’s visit to That’s Awesome with Steve and Bradford below.
Now weigh-in: Are you rooting for Dante and Liz, or Dante and Ric at this juncture of the story, or neither guy for Elizabeth? Let us know your thoughts and picks via the comment section.

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)

At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”
Take note! If there are any investment bankers or private equity folks among the GH faithful looking for a young analyst next year, Patrick’s DMs are open. You can find him on X at @PatrickJGibbons.”
So, what did you think of the song sung by Trina on today’s GH that was written by Patrick J. Gibbons? Did you enjoy Patrick’s performances as One Life’s Sam and GH’s Wyatt? Would you like to see him back on GH at some point? Let us know via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)

Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didn’t burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) I’m willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good. I was working with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”
Meanwhile, Chad has been busy putting out new music under the moniker Duelly and during the interview he explains how he creates his EDM tracks and much more. You can stream his latest single, Static in the Quiet Room on Spotify, Apple Music and You Tube Music.
