Chloe Lanier just slayed these last two weeks. There were two points of Chloe’s subtle evil performances that stand out so STRONGLY. One was when she completely manipulated Brad without missing a beat. She took his grief and disposed of it like yesterday’s bad bread. I think she had a gleam in her eye. I felt cold and a little dirty while watching. Brad is no saint but he got taken big time and his mistakes will have life altering ramifications for years. Then when Nelle was being interrogated by Jordan. I don’t know if this was written into the script or not but when Nelle touched Jordan’s hand at the end of the interrogation you could see Jordan literally cringe. Nelle touching her was like her physically releasing her poison on to the police commissioner. No gun or weapon was necessary. That small touch was everything in the scene. I have completely enjoyed GH this last week. It was spectacular. I know things are in an uproar with GH. They are trying hard to get the magic back but these last two weeks showed great signs. I will miss Chloe Lanier. She is a great actress who actually grew in skill in her time with GH. I hope that things keep going in this direction with GH. I want to also give props to Eden McCoy as Joss. I have always been on the fence about her. This week she took me off the fence and into her back yard for lemonade. Her scenes with Carly at the safe house and then with Nelle at the docks were ALL THE WAY great. When she uttered the line “you messed with the wrong family, bitch” I literally jumped off my sofa and screamed at the TV, “let her have it good Joss, take that terror down!” In small ways Joss is definitely her mother’s daughter. Keep it up Eden, you may be able to fill Chloe’s shoes if you keep all this acting excellence up. You were FIRE!
Thanks GH for 2 great weeks. Now let’s start a continual pattern, with the cast you have in front of you there is no excuse not to.

Mateo, you said it all. That moment when Nelle reached out to touch (curse?) Jordan came out of nowhere and nearly stopped my heart! Chloe just keeps getting better with each episode and/or machination. A truly original and brave body of performances.

YES

If a person grabbed a cop like that in real life he/she wouldn’t have to worry about all the other charges against them. You don’t grab a cop, taunt him or her and get away with it. Big leap from reality in just that one moment.

She didn’t grab Jordan, she touched her to show her fangs. It’s not a crime to touch someone. She issued no threat and she was handcuffed so that doesn’t fly. And when would reality come into play here? It’s a soap for goodness sake. Half of what Nelle has done is beyond reason and reality. The touch was not about it being a crime, it was about showing the depth of Nelle’s obvious illness.

see comment below; couldn’t delete this one and had to type something.

She DID grab Jordan. Just watched that scene again. She stuck her face in Jordan’s, told her her department had “blood on their hands” and grabbed her. Jordan pulled back and she grabbed her again. In all my years of watching GH and all the arrests no one has ever grabbed a cop. This is not a case of “it’s a soap.” That’s an obvious out when events like coming back from the dead or wearing someone else’s face come into play. Those scenes are obviously meant for us to suspend our disbelief. Grabbing a cop’s wrist and not receiving any charges for it, if not assault than a misdemeanor, shouldn’t have been ignored. But, since “it’s a soap, she could have attempted to grab Jordan and been restrained by a second cop and received a warning. Jordan said nothing. Ridiculous.

I didn’t see it as a scene which exemplified Nell’s illness; I took it as emphasizing she’s a psychopath who has no fear/no boundaries and doesn’t realize yet her time is up. She STILL thinks she’ll walk away. Police don’t usually care what your reason is for assaulting them. Jordan should have had her better restrained or taken away. Could have wiped her smug look off her face by telling her she just added assault on a cop to her charges (whether they would have pressed them or not.)

With that said, Chloe knocked the scene out of the ballpark as she has since she began the role.

Rebecca, as well done and intense as this scene was, oddly enough, the one that had me rewind and watch again was when Jordan received the call on her cell as to Nelle’s whereabouts and then promptly left her phone on Dante’s desk before departing for the docks with the uniformed officer. All that fine writing and acting and I’m left muttering “you left your phone, dummy!” An otherwise great episode that could have been tighter—e.g. Michael, essentially calling an Uber to get his battered and bruised sister, Joss, to the hospital? It will be a nice twist if the writers have the foresight to allow Nelle’s punch and kick to the gut to propel Joss into a health crisis with her kidney, extending Nelle’s collateral damage.

Hey, Reed. Good catch on your part. Didn’t even notice Jordan leaving her phone. If I did, it’s lost in my memory bank as I try to grapple with Nelle grabbing Jordan’s arm. It’s funny how these inconsistencies (as in the case with the arm grab) or the probable unintentional leaving of the phone sometimes mess with our ability to suspend our disbelief than the actual fantastical things that we’re able to enjoy and get lost in!

I was thinking about Joss’s kidney, too. Not sure the Corinthos fans can stand any more hits, literal or figurative, to the family. I say they’re long overdue. Well, not Joss or Michael; Michael’s suffered enough but much of that is because he was taken away from the Qs and raised in the mob. (Shame they’re making Joss a Carly mini me. I liked her. Sigh.)

Hi Rebecca,
UR right that WITCH did GRAB Jordan by the hand/ wrist, and drip/drab commissioner did NOTHING yet again!!! I would have added assault to the pile of charges
against her.

Hi, Fanny. Thanks! Can’t see how anyone who watched that scene thought it was just a “touch.” Nelle was a witch, LOL, but I’m not a Carly fan so she was, as in The Wizard of Oz, the good witch to me! 😉

Always love your posts! I freakin’ love Nelle! I love the character, I love the actress. I love that she was able to bring Carly and Sonny to their knees!! Anyone who messes with those two gets high praise in my books!! She always made us feel something! When Josslynn kicked her in the stomach, it a pretty gruesome graphic scene considering Nelle had just given birth….and she looked so sad and hurt that Josslynn could do something like that to her! She made me feel sorry for her….this young tiny waif like thing, in a hospital robe, just gave birth…wandering around the docks. I was upset when it was announced she was leaving, but after her Emmy win, and considering the state of soaps, she is smart to move on to other projects! Iam sure she will do very well!! And if she ever comes back, Nelle could have a twin or a look alike, or have gotten psychological help, or a brand new character! If Carly #2 can be in town going by the name Kim Nero, viewers would accept Chloe as a new character. The only part I HATE about this story is those two sanctimonious bitches Carly and Bobbie get to be right and say I TOLD YOU SO! And that robotic Jason once again gets to play hero. 20+ years of the same crap is beyond old!!! Kudos to the show for going full tilt with Nelle! If she is going out, best it be with a bang!!

I agree with you, Jovin. Nell has the soapy honor of being the one to make Carly pay. Not long enough in my opinion but something’s better than nothing. She’s gotten away with far too much for way too long. Unfortunately, being Carly, she’ll be back to her obnoxious self in no time.

I didn’t, however, feel bad for Nell when Joss slammed her. Just a good fight scene that I would have enjoyed more if I liked Joss more. Used to like her but now they’re making her a Carly, Jr. and that just turned me off to the character. If she rebelled against Carly’s ways and was more like Jax, I’d be team Joss all the way. But as far as feeling sorry for Nell in that moment, I didn’t. She’s a murderer. She killed her first fiance, would have killed Michael and destroys everyone in her path. I think it’s a bit more than a rotten childhood. She has no remorse. So while I applaud her take-down of Carly I don’t find her a sympathetic character.

As for Chloe; great actress! Not sure she’d ever want to return to GH after the abuse she received on Twitter. But, if the offer is good and they have her returning in a role that the rabid viewers who attacked her can accept, maybe she’ll return one day. Or, show up on another soap. They’d be lucky to have her.

I love reading your posts Mateo – they are always interesting because you not only state your opinion but back it up with detailed examples from the show. Of course, it helps that I agree with everything you said! It was a great 2 weeks of GH and I too am hopeful this can continue.

Spot on, Mateo, on all counts! I so agree!

Love her as an actress, but hate her character.

Bravo bravo bravo standing ovation I am glad that that storyline is over that does not mean that we wish her to leave but still bravo bravo bravo

I think Nelle Should go to Ferncliff and Mary Pat Should Be Her nurse can you imagine them Two (2) Together they will kill each other Bit Mary pat should be committee to

But Gwen, what if they realize they have a mutual enemy…Miss Caroline Corinthos. Can you imagine the evil plots hatched in that hellhole?

Chloe was like a stick of dynamite. My gut feeling is that somehow, she’ll slip though fingers and get away just so the writers can bring her back if she ever decides she wants to return.

I hope so, James. She’s too good to say a final farewell to.

Love to see her an Dr. O back. Way better than killing them off. But if not Chloe hope the best for her in future endeavors. She showed her talent with GH beginning with the Fluke story.

She deserves an Emmy for her performance.

Dispised her Character but she is awesome actress. Think some of it was too drawn out and now time to move on to others that need a good story line. Great Job Chloe! Good luck in your future !

She is a fantastic actress, but the writers had her on being bad too long. We love our Carly and Sonny. And they were her targets. And now she is leaving. Goodbye good luck !

Sorry to say, my friend. You are in the definite minority of those who love Sonny and Carly!

Unfortunately she’s not, Jovin. I can’t stand Carly in particular but she is a fan fav.

Looking forward to seeing Nelle down here in Hell. Because there ain’t no way she’s getting out of Port Charles alive!

I think they’ll keep her alive. Probably (if the show’s still airing) they’ll have her come back for yet another psycho jaunt. Or. maybe Nell, Heather and Dr. O will become a girl band and perform at a future Nurse’s Ball.

Nelle could always return as long lost twin Michelle…i like the actress and wish her great success but i hope she can sometime return as Nelle or her lookalike!!!

jimh: how’d you come up with Michelle? hahaha…if you want an M how ’bout Myrtle? Don’t remember a soap Myrtle. buwhahahahahhaa…Myrtle. Who ever would name their child that? There’s always Edna.

Rebecca1…how about a cover of “Psycho Killer” by the Talking Heads or “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley.

Quite apropos, Rose! (LOVE “Psycho Killer.” Great song!) Or, we can have Michael, Chase, Scott and Faison’s hologram sing Hall and Oates “Maneater” to the ladies of loon.

That was some cat fight between Joss and Nelle. I hope Nelle goes to Fern Cliff and gets Mary Pat for her nurse. chloe may get another Emmy for her performance.

Oooh, Linda, yes!! Nelle and Mary Pat…enemies OR allied against Carly? I cringe at the juicy possibilities! Heck, they’re probably related anyway.

Nina told Maxi that “her cousin” is a father. Maxi and Lucas aren’t cousins. Lulu and Lucas are cousins.

No, Lucas is Tony’s son in every way that matters. And Tony is Frisco’s brother. He and Maxie grew up together. No one spent more time with Lucas growing up than Maxie and Georgie. They are cousins. And he’s the only on on-screen with the Jones name other than Maxie.

oh! you’re right; completely forgot all that. Thanks!

She was fantastic. What a great actress.

Yes, it will be two Emmy’s in a row, Chloe rocks the house! What a gem. IF we knew soaps were going to last I would root for this young girl to sign a twenty year contract at ABC but she is too talented and must strike Hollywood NOW!

My thought here about Friday’s episode is this: THIS is how every Friday use to be on soaps, wild and unpredictable, leading you into Monday. Secondly, this little strawberry blonde, probably 100lbs soaking wet has reeked more havoc on the big bad mob don, Sonny Corinthos than ANY other tough guys he has ever gone up against! So next time women are wrongly portrayed on screen, remember this, little Nelle raised some Helle and brought Sonny and his family down to their knees! Who knew Ava would be a kitty cat compared to that lioness Nelle!

She deserves all the kudos she gets.

She’s an Amazing actress! You can’t help but loving her as you hate her. That’s why she’s so great. Not many could pull off that roll like she has. Even while you’re wanting her to ‘get hers’, you’re wanting more of her.
I can’t wait to see where she goes from here. She’s way too good an actress to stay on daytime tv!

Chloe Lanier is hands down, the most talented actress in Daytime. She makes you hate Nelle and, on a dime, she can make you feel sorry for her. I hope she gets a second Emmy and I wish her well in her future endeavors. She has so much talent, she owes it to herself to branch out and see what opportunities are out there. I think she made the right choice to leave on a high note with her Daytime Emmy in hand.

Her last week on screen makes her a shoe-in for another Emmy next year.
Loved her exit… kicking & screaming bloody hell till the bitter end, CLASSIC.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nikolas Gets an Earful from Ava About Sonny and His Meds; Nina and Drew Can’t Seem to Resist Each Other

Ava (Maura West) seems to feel she has a confidante in a jailed Nikolas (Adam Huss) on the Monday, April 29th episode of General Hospital. In story, Ava heads to Pentonville to visit her ex-husband before he is set to get transferred out of state.

When discussing her living relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard), which Nikolas already knew about, Ava says she is happy about how her relationship with Sonny has been evolving, Nikolas ask if she’s in love with Sonny. Ava denies it, but goes on to say how great it is for her daughter, Avery to be living with both her parents, who are on the same side and not at odds.

Nikolas believes that Ava loves being in Sonny’s inner sanctum and the power that comes with it. Ava fires back that she spent years looking in from the outside and that everyone despised her. When Nikolas brings up Nina (Cynthia Watros), she says Nina never really could understand the true type of man that Sonny is.

Then, Ava launches in on Carly (Laura Wright), and how she would love to stick it to her, for all the times she blocked Ava from seeing her child and Carly’s attitude towards her. Then, Ava admits to Nikolas that she knows that Sonny has a watered-down version of his bipolar medication, which is making him more vulnerable and she’s capitalizing on it for her own gain. She says she needs to figure out who is responsible, but Nikolas voices concern for Ava’s plan and that if Sonny ever found out she knew about it and did nothing, he would be on the warpath against her. Ava promises she knows what she’s doing. When she says goodbye to Nikolas, he looks upset and sad, as he still seemingly cares for Ava.

Meanwhile in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) office, Nina walks in complaining about Carly giving her a hard time about maintenance in her office. Nina wants payback for Jason (Steve Burton) buying Carly the hotel, but Drew is not up for playing games with her.  She says they both want revenge on Jason and Carly, which Drew denies. Next thing you know, Nina grabs Drew and kisses him. Although, it seems he might walk out the door and away from her, he locks it, and the two proceed to have round 2 of their hate-sex.

Elsewhere, Anna tells Jason about her shooting Charlotte and her concern about Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement with Pikeman. Meanwhile, Valentin visits Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) in Pentonville, where threats are laid out to make Sonny look like the guilty party in eliminating Jason, while Anna is the line of fire, if she doesn’t keep her nose out of Pikeman business, which worries Valentin, who doesn’t want Anna getting hurt in any of this.

So, what do you think about Ava’s plans? Did you like seeing Nikolas back on the canvas? Are you all for a Drew/Nina continued affair? Will Anna get caught in the crossfire only to be saved by Valentin? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

Haley Pullos Receives 90-Day Jail Sentence Following DUI Charge And Wrong-Way Car Crash

Former General Hospital actress, Haley Pullos (ex-Molly Lansing-Davis) is going to be doing time in jail, exactly one-year after her arrest from a hit and run wrong-way car collision.

The crash resulted in bodily harm and damages to the other driver, and now Pullos who pleaded “no contest” to the charges and will serve 90 days in jail. She was taken in custody on Monday, April 29th, after the ruling.

According to Haley’s attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, the 25-year-old actress struck a plea deal and after her three months in jail will be sentenced on July 29th. As part of that sentencing, she must serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service and pay $8,260 in restitution to Courteney Wilder, the other driver in the crash and her driver’s license is revoked for a year.

According to TMZ, the plea deal for Pullos has the “no contest” to one DUI, while the judge dropped the felony DUI causing bodily injury and misdemeanor hit and run charges.

Melnick said in a statement to PEOPLE, “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”

Pullos had played the daughter of Alexis Davis (played by Nancy Lee Grahn) on the ABC soap opera since 2009, but after her car crash and DUI she was replaced by three different actresses until the show finally settled on the current Molly, Kristen Vaganos.

Back in April 29 of 2023, and at the scene of the crash, the police found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila in Pullos’ vehicle and that she was intoxicated. As it turned out, this was to be the second hit and run in the evening for Pullos who had an earlier collision with another car.

The courts decision follows a year-long legal battle with Haley’s pleas changing throughout it, ranging from “not guilty” to “no contest”. She sought treatment for her drinking at a rehab following the crash.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.

GH’s Laura Wright Previews How Carly Gets Clued-In to Sonny’s Behavior: “All the Questions That Anybody Would Have, We Hit on Them”

This week on General Hospital, Carly (Laura Wright) seems to be close to figuring out what is going on with her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or is she? In the latest promo for the ABC daytime drama series, looks like Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) have a plan to bring Sonny down … eliminate Jason (Steve Burton) and make it look like Sonny is responsible.

Meanwhile, Carly gets an earful from Nina (Cynthia Watros) that Ava (Maura West) had a lot to do with getting Nina to sell her portion of the hotel back to Jason, her interest is piqued.

According to Laura Wright during her chat with Soap Opera Digest, Carly has a growing concern over Sonny’s current roomie, Ava Jerome, and the mobster’s paranoid and irrational behavior recently.
