NBC Unveils Days of our Lives Fall Season Promo Featuring Surprise Returns!

Salem is the place to be these days, and if you want more proof, look no further than this can’t-miss extended fall promo released on Friday by NBC.

In the promo it says, “This fall only one show gives you romance” and we go to a hot potentially steamy moment from CIN! (Ciara and Ben).   Then, an emotional Eric confronts Brady!

Next, the promo says the show is about to explode with surprise returns! In it we see: Dr. Rolf, Ted, Sheila, Nicole, Mimi, Rex, Xander, Sarah, and more.

Check out the moment between Eric Martsolf and Kyle Lowder; which has the perfect “wink wink” nod to longtime fans of the NBC series about to celebrate its 53rd anniversary in November.

And, Sami is seen watching over who she hopes to be EJ, and it all comes to a conclusion with Abigail going into labor as Chad helps deliver the baby. Big DAYS are ahead!

Watch the promo below, and then let us know who you are looking forward to seeing the most this fall on DAYS via the comment section below.

Days continues to deliver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!how great are the 2 brady;s

“absolutely, I’m so looking forward to this much meet. twice the dice play as it were meet in

it’s a testosterone meets testosterone… seriously MAGIC it happens

these are a “…HOT tWO ”

catch it

Ok…looks interesting enough but is Vivian ever coming back???

She’ll have to gone for at least a year. Remember? This is DOOL and they know how to drag out a story that takes forever to get any resolution. At least they didn’t go the way of the other shows that now give the payoff quickly. DOOL makes us wait which is the way soaps were always done back in the day.

Didn’t she say in an exit interview that she has no interest in going back that the show is too fast paced or something ?

I’m excited for Ben and Ciara! Can’t wait to see their story really take off.

A cold-blooded murderer? No way! That one of the single big mistakes that ALL soaps have made–falling in love with murderers and bringing them back. NO WAY!

A huge mistake, which Days are already paying for! Days’ hard-gained ratings recovery COLLAPSED when they forced Ciara together with Ben!

It’s crazy. It’s *obviously* crazy. It shatters the make-believe of the show! How can one watch the young female protagonist WANT TO BE WITH the murderer of three women, and Will? The first two killings were premeditated brutal murders, to frame an innocent guy that he was jealous of! Next he murdered his friend and fiancée’s cousin to cover it up, and then chained up his fiancée whilst she gave birth, and murdered the midwife! And then tried to burn his fiancée alive! And Ciara is a relative of three of the victims to boot!

Ciara having any interest in him at all shatters the make-believe of the show, and, despite folks liking RSW and VK’s chemistry on social media (and clearly they are good and likeable actors) it is clear from the ratings collapse that Days is not getting away with this outrageously braindead and inauthentic plotting. Fans want to see intelligent young women, acting intelligently! Days is so reckless! They don’t have any viewers they can afford to throw away! I feel they are playing with their fate with this one!

Well said!

Well now it looks more and more like Tripp is the one that planted the evidence against Ben which in turn will make Ciara resent him and fall back into Ben’s arms. She’ll be doubly pissed because she just slept with Tripp and will accuse him of framing Ben so she would be with him.

Tripp’s about to be tripped up!

And Ben planted evidence and framed Chad for MURDER!
So how will Days handle it when Ciarra finds out about Tripp planting evidence? Will they bring up the fact that Ben did that, and in a far more serious way? Will they confront Ciarra with those facts? I doubt it very much, because the whole Ciarra-Ben story depends upon nobody properly confronting her with the hard truths about Ben!

Days only seem to care about pushing Ben and the Ciara-Ben relationship. They even had Commissioner Hope NOT THINKING TO CHECK Ben’s previous crime scenes when she had reason to believe Ben had taken her daughter, despite the fact the place where Ben held Abigail was WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE of where Ciarra crashed her bike!!! This is the level of not-giving-a-damn about rationality the show is at!

And in all this, the scripts are playing for sympathy for the murderer, whilst the reasonable people are put in the roles of the villains. No thanks Days! No, just NO.

No thank you Days, I’m not buying!

This is formula that soaps have been writing for years. Bad boy (or girl) turns good and a main character falls for him or her. The fan base for Sonny on GH, a murderer who killed AJ, who just admitted he killed another man 30 years ago who he never knew but was ordered to do so and boasts that he “has no regrets” is put up as the center of the show. Every crime he commits or has committed is justified by his fans. He’s a “good guy” with a “heart of gold” who “only” kills when he has to. “Has to” includes when the guy steals his territory, knows too much or wants his own biological son back. Luke was made into a hero after the “rape” which isn’t a rape anymore. Franco was a serial killer on GH but had a tumor. (I’m buying that one; that he was ill and wasn’t in control of his abberrant behavior. It’s the only way to accept Roger as Franco and keep him on the show so I went with it and I’ve been able to put his “alter” past in the past.

Ben is gorgeous and that’s a great recipe for these “passionate” love stories. (In no way justifying it; just citing the history of it.) If his murderous spree is explained away due to a medical condition and not from diabolical evil, then one can see how Ciara sees him; as the sexy, misunderstood, wrongly accused hot guy who saved her life and needs her. Again, not defending it but these stories had a place on soaps. Not sure if it’ll fly in today’s world.

Then again, people voted for and still support a man who was accused of sexual misconduct, who defended a pedophile and is currently disparaging/mocking/humiliating the woman who accused him. And his crowd roars approval.

Soaps aren’t half as sad as parts of reality.

Ciara will probably get pregnant…Trip’s or Ben’s!!!!

This is what ReRon Carlivati does. Turns a serial killer into his own personal pet and then demands that everybody love the serial killer and accept him as “666% totally redeemed”. You can bet your soul that Ben’s crimes will be explained away by a mysterious brain tumor within the next few months.

Thank god for days! Cant wait for a Ericole reunion!

DAYS has so much to gush about

can’t wait

it’s stirring

It looks like all these problems with Ben turn Hope into Princess Gina??????

One version of Princess Gina was a doppleganger and the other version was an alternate personality induced by a brain chip.

Either way, it’s the type of story that ReRon likes to beat to death. Enough already with the damn doubles.

Can’t wait!

Hooray, Xander! Always more Xander!

Love this! Days is so great and this promo has me pumped for this fall in Salem.

Hummm, just wonder if their will be any awkwardness with Arianne/Nicole and her ex-husband Kyle Lowder both coming back at the same time.I used to wonder that about others having to separate real and reel, such as Sean and Chloe who were together for years and Vickie and J.t, ( Y&R) married and divorced, then being on the same show together.

Patrick Mulcahey OUT as General Hospital Co-Head Writer

After various reports surfaced, it has been confirmed that Patrick Mulcahey is out as the co-head writer of General Hospital. This is after a very short tenure of under five months.

Mulcahey was named to the position back in January of 2024 along with longtime GH writer Elizabeth Korte. They replaced the team of Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor, who had been the head scribes of the long-running ABC daytime drama since 2019.

A source informed Soap Opera Digest that stories created by the co-head writing team of  Mulcahey/Korte team will air through mid-summer. However they added “There will be more news to share at a later date as to the composition of the new writing team.”

In addition, eagle-eyed soap fans have seen that in recent episodes former co-head writer, Chris Van Etten has been credited, as he is reportedly a breakdown writer with the show.

Soap Opera Network is reporting that Korte has assumed the head writing duties solely on her own at the moment, while Buzz blog initially reported Mulcahey’s exit.

We will have more on the GH writing team evolution in the days ahead.

There is no better place to be on this earth, especially in these trying times, than sharing food at a table with others. That simple idea has been the basis of my life’s work. Hence, as I say in my shows, “Tutti a Tavola a Mangiare!” Mille Grazie to NATAS for this honor.”

While Adam Sharp shared, “Lidia Bastianich’s astounding success combines her love of cooking while simultaneously entertaining millions each day. It is an honor for us to say ‘grazie’ for the many fine meals borne from her TV kitchen and cookbook pages.”

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
