DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Alex, Chanel and Allie Have a Three-Way

Photo: JPI

On Monday’s Days of our Lives, the long-running soap opera included in story, its first ever threesome. DAYS, which has been streaming on Peacock since the middle of September, teased the ménage à trois a bit ago when Rob Scott Wilson’s new character of Alex Kiriakis hit Salem and was a bit of a ‘player’.  At one point during a conversation, Alex hit on Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and put into their minds the notion of having a threesome with him.

Meanwhile, Allie and Chanel have had their own past complicated relationships with men, and now with each other.  Feeling that their relationship has hit a bump in the road, the young women decide a three-way might be just the spark needed to ignite their love and passion for one another.

Eventually, the two invite Alex over for a drink, making small-talk and trying to get to the reason they invited him over in the first place. After fumbling around to get to the true reason, Allie reveals they want to take him up on his offer. Alex is confused, until Chanel uses the word “threesome” to which Alex spits out his drink.

Allie then admits the three-way was her idea, and Chanel agreed to it, as it’s an adventure they could share together. They go on to say they chose Alex because they wanted someone who would have no emotional ties to them afterward.  Alex, also has a bit of truth of his own to share. He says, in reality, he has only experienced a three-way, twice before.

After trying to figure out how to start the sexual encounter, Alex kisses Chanel, then Allie and the three adjourn to the bedroom,  DAYS then delivers a montage of shots representing the sex between the three.

In the end, Alex is winded and dehydrated and goes to get some water, while Chanel and Allie check in with each other and say that the experience was more than alright and recommit to each other.

Fans of the series have been commenting on social media since yesterday. Also, to note, DAYS tapes month ahead, so this story point was already completed before the move to Peacock.  It should also be noted that Rob Scott Wilson also appeared in another soap first, when on Prospect Park’s All My Children, his character of Pete Cortlandt (Wilson) received oral sex from Colby (Brooke Newton).

So, what did you think about how the Salem threesome between Alex, Chanel and Allie was portrayed? Comment below.

“Days” wants attention–and needs it on the new Peacock platform. But with this–are they trying to be hip? Or is it just tasteless?

Since this episode was taped 6 months ago, it really has nothing to do with Peacock. Though it might very well have something to do with ReRon promoting his latest creation, “Alex Who Is Definitely Not Ben The Necktie Killer”.

The threesome would have seemed a lot less contrived it they would have done it with Tripp Johnson, who both of the girls were “into” to one extent or another, though admittedly a lot of alcohol was involved when he almost got busy with Chanel.

Yes, Satan, it seems contrived especially since I would never share that man with anyone. It’d be all or nothing. Hopefully all.

They knew when they were filming it 6 months ago it would be on peacock when it aired. A deal like that doesn’t happen over night.

That threesome was smoking hot. Next time I want just three women involved.

I did not think Days would actually show it. I thought they could have shown us the three going into the bedroom and then them lying in bed after or in the living room. I was surprised it was shown.

I’m more than okay with this breakthrough storyline, largely because it is a part of the human experience. Threesomes may not be for everyone, but they are common enough that it is almost surprising the topic has not been featured in soaps previously. I also think that there is much drama to be mined from such encounters: whether it’s a one-time versus ongoing relationship, whether one or more members experience misgivings, whether one member feels left out, resultant pregnancies, and so on. Let the games begin…

James…as always, you are SO RIGHT ON!!! Also, I found the episode (in general) to be VERY WONDERFULLY GROUNDBREAKING!!! Most of all, the Allie/Alex/Chanel scenario held my interest because (to me) it was so comical…lol. And yep…let the games begin…PERIOD!!!!!

Catch ya’ later, Brother.

Thank you for the backup, jaybird369! As we see, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. But, as you say, it is “GROUNDBREAKING.” And you added a dimension I neglected: the humor. Humor comes in handy, doesn’t it? Take care, Friend!

Stop spreading misinformation. You have no idea how “common” it is unless you have statistics to support your claim (other than your trick knee). There’s nothing “groundbreaking” about Days being boring.

Thank you for your reply, whynot. As with other commenters here, it’s also refreshing to read a different point of view. My posts here are merely anecdotal. I am no expert on the topic. And I am certainly not “spreading misinformation” here, as some anti-vaccers do. I’m not sure of your intent with the “trick knee” comment. I will assume this is an attempt at humor and not a vicious putdown. I’m happy to have a respectful discussion with others capable of doing so.

This is just one of the reasons I have not watched DAYS since March.

If I wanted to watch p0rn I would. I’ve been watching this show for over 40 years, they have totally ruined it. Most people who watch this show are an older generation and not interested in this crap. It’s obvious they are jumping on the woke bandwagon, as is most of NBC shows. To appeases a minute part of the population DOOL just destroyed themselves.

I have no idea how a threesome would be considered “Woke.” And the whole point of stories like this is to reflect current contemporary life. It’s wonderful that there are viewers who have watched for more than 40 years. But to survive, Days needs to attract new and young viewers by offering content that appeals to them. Not sure why that would be considered a “minute part of the population.” Literally, it’s the generation of the future.

The threescore didn’t make it “woke” but there have been other things happening too that show they are moving in that direction.
I have heard the phrase “middle age white male” a few times now. To me, that is as racist as it comes. Making an assumption of a entire group of people.
Moving forward more as the world changes, sure, I appreciate that but they are crossing lines that is going to leave long time viewer’s considering to no longer watch.
The three some was a close call for me, hot, yeah sure, but it’s not what I want to see when I get home from work while making dinner. It’s daytime TV, bottom line. Move it to 8pm time slot.

Porn does not belong on public day time tv, I have watched this show for 47 years. Terribly disappointed. Will no longer watch this show.

This is:
1. Not porn (trust me that’s a lot more graphic)
2. Not on “public daytime tv” as Peacock is a subscription service not subject to network standards & practices.
3. Just an example of things that do occur in real life (not everyone’s but far from a few).

Going back to the early days, soaps have always gone where many primetime shows weren’t ready to go. Adultery and divorce in the 50s/60s, abortion and race relations in the 70s, and coming out in the 90s.

In order to grow, soaps need to continue to evolve with the times and push boundaries.

OG Steve
All you are saying may be true, but, have you ever seen two dogs mating? Things that happen in real life, yes but I sure as hell don’t care to see it on my daytime TV. There’s a time and place for everything.

Violet, your comment reminds me of a great line of dialogue from the 1972 movie BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE. Oscar-winner Eileen Heckart’s character responds to a wacky, avant-garde theatre director who claims that audiences are dying to see MORE nudity and degradation on stage. “It’s part of life”, he claims. Eileen’s character responds: “I realize that. So is diarrhea. But I wouldn’t classify it as entertainment.” Whatever your thoughts, it’s a classic comeback!

I’ve seen my dog Cerberus going at it with another hellhound. Since he has three heads, does that count as a “4 way”??

It was actually uneventful. I had to laugh that they were talking about how hot it was and Chanel still had her barrettes perfectly in place in the morning.
Lots of hype and very little payoff.

For years I watched Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra walk off with two women in tow and didn’t give it a second thought as to what was going on. But its two women and a male and everyone is freaking out!!! Talk about stereotypes. I think Allie’s threesome suggestion by the way is malicious and she plans to accidentally tell her brother so that it turns him off to Chanel. Other than that as I wrote before if Days succeeds on Peacock they might want to consider breaking up the show and putting the older folks in one soap and the youngsters in their own spinoff.

It was fine, but the timing was clumsy and insensitive. Allie’s two grandmothers and great aunt are at death’s door and she’s doing this?

Peacock Raising Subscription Prices $2 Dollars a Month This Summer; Includes Days of our Lives

As the Paris Summer Olympics are a few months away, the Peacock streaming service has revealed its plan for a two dollar summer price hike on its subscription plans, beginning in July for its content which will include Days of our Lives.

According to Deadline, in July, look for the monthly price for Peacock Premium to increase to $7.99. Premium Plus, which offers limited advertising, download capability and live local programming, will now be $13.99, while  Annual plans will go up to $79.99 for Premium and $139.99 for Premium Plus.

This price hike will effect new customers starting on July 18th, while existing subscribers will notice the price change on their next billing date on or before August 17th.

This marks the second price change in two years for the streaming service, the previous one being in 2023, which was the first since the service launched back in 2020.  The Summer Olympics in Paris which will be on NBC and Peacock run from July 26 to August 11.

The bright spot for Days of our Lives fans, is that unlike if the show was still on network television and NBC, the show would be preempted for two weeks, but with it being on Peacock it will continue with all-new episodes without interruption.

At the recent Days of our Lives 15K episode celebration, Michael Sluchan the EVP, Current Scripted Programming & Limited Series for NBC/Peacock shared that the soap opera is doing extremely well for the streaming service, and they were very happy with its performance.

If you want to join Peacock now, there is still some time to get in on the current rates to watch DAYS and all of the programming and series it offers.

So, what do you think about the Peacock streaming service next price hike? Comment below.

Serena Scott Thomas to Days of our Lives, But What Role Will She Play?

Look who’s coming to Salem next? In a tease on their official Instagram account, Days of our Lives has revealed that Serena Scott Thomas has been on set and will debut in an upcoming role, leaving many fans guessing just who might she play.

The English actress and documentary producer has previously starred in Diana, Her Story as Diane Prince of Wales, Dr. Molly Warmflash in the James Bond  film The World Is Not Enough, and played the villainess ‘Watcher” in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Bruce Willis’ wife in the film, Hostages among others.

Serena is the younger sister of Kristen Scott Thomas, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in The English Patient. Several DAYS fans are already weighing in that Serena will play Konstantine’s (John Kaeplos) wife.

However, NannyKat 63 may have it all figured out the best, when she posted, that not only will “Serena play Kostantine’s wife,” but the character “had an affair with Victor Kiriakis and got pregnant.” Thus, making Xander (Paul Telfer) her son. She went on to theorize, “Perhaps, And John and Steve will find her in the nick of time… and she’ll enter in time to stop the wedding of Maggie to him. Xander will find out his true identity then. The baby was given to Victor’s brother to be raised in Scotland.”

Sounds plausible to us! Another guess came from donnamoore_23 who said, “Ya’ll think he could be Bobberette ‘s mom or sister or .. SOMETHING to do with his story .. someone who can back up what trauma he went through to be so sick? 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I think y’all are right could be Katerina.”

Photo: JPI

Two DAYS stars, Tamara Braun (Ava) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) also shared comments on Serena Scott Thomas’ upcoming appearance on DAYS. Godfrey simply said, “YES!!!! while Braun add her guess, expressing, “Ava’s mum. Oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad. Or was she? 🤔”

So, what do you think? What role will Serena Scott Thomas play on Days of our Lives? Share your theories in the comment section below.
