Christopher Sean and Colton Little Return to Days of our Lives
Now coming to the mothership, look for Christopher Sean (Paul Norita) and Colton Little (Andrew Donovan) to reprise their roles on Peacock’s Days of our Lives.
As DAYS fans know, Sean and Little were first seen together during last summer’s Peacock limited series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter 2.
Christopher was previously with DAYS from 2014-2018, before returning for ‘Beyond Salem’. This will mark Colton’s first time on the main series.
Look for both actors to be back in action on Days of our Lives the week of March 13th.
Just how will their appearances tie into the returns of Peter Reckell (Bo), Kristian Alfonso, (Hope) Steve Burton (Harris) and Miranda Wilson (Megan) who will also all be on-screen and back in action this month? Make sure to check out all the upcoming episodes and find out.

This is great news! Especially after losing sonny Allie and will. Christopher Sean is a great actor can’t wait to see him on days again!
This is good. I hope they are on contract, though. Seriously… to lose Will & nu-Sunny again is just upsetting. I hope the character of Leo is written off.
Having Paul Narita and Andrew Donovan back is an awesome idea. I want Leo out because I can see a rinse and repeat of him inserting himself into Paul and Andrew’s potential relationship. I can handle love triangles however, Leo has to go. Bye Felicia!
Welcome back Christopher and welcome Colton. Will and Sonny can hopefully return at some point. Zach Tinker has been killing it as Sonny. I hope he’s nominated for supporting actor.
I think the show wrote off Will and Sonny because Chandler Massey and Zach Tinker had other commitments and the show couldn’t have one of them onscreen while the other character was elsewhere.However i have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of Will and/or Sonny especially when the show deals with Victor’s death.As for the characters of Paul and Andrew, maybe Andrew is working for the ISA like his dad and a case brings him and Paul to Salem or other characters enlist Andrew and Paul’s help on a case.

Obviously they’re back to continue the story from “Beyond Salem 2”, which probably would have been “Beyond Salem 3”, had Days itself not moved to Peacock (Steve Burton pretty much said that was the original plan in recent interviews) .
Whether they will stick around long term is another story. Hell only knows that Salem’s LGBTQ community could use a little representation, with Will, Sonny, and Allie all suddenly exiled to New Zealand. Hell forbid that Leo Stark is the only one waving a rainbow flag.

I liked the blooming chemistry between Colton Little & Christopher Sean during the second chapter of Beyond Salem, however, Ron Carlivati has a notorious history of writing cliché gay men, and it’s disappointing as he is part of the LGBTQ+ community. Plus, the musical chairs of LGBTQ+ characters is headache inducing.

Welcome back Christopher Sean! You’ve been missed. Colton welcome to the show. I’ll be tuning in for some Paul.
I am gay, but I find this show’s representation of gay people actually very very unrealistic and even offensive.
They would have everyone believe that of these 30 or so characters of inter-mingling family and friends … that many of them have gay children and grand children. That in itself is not true to life.
Like sunshine and roses, everyone is loving and accepting. No one bats an eyelash. It is all hugs and acceptance and love and tolerance. It is ludicrous.
Lets recap. John has a son who is gay. Sami and Lucas have a son and a daughter who are gay. Paulina has a daughter who is gay. Shane and Kimberly have a son who is gay.
Justin and Adrienne have a son who is gay. Chloe has a father who is gay.
That is an awfully small circle of friends and family. Its like the show is being “inclusive” just because it can. It does no one any favours to include such fairy tale type stories. It gives people a false impression of what being gay actually is.
Family and friends are NOT immediately accepting and embracing … At least not all of them. I found Erica Kane’s reaction on All My Children much more realistic. She was initially in denial and horrified. Only with time did she come around.
I loathe the character of Leo. He is a disgusting sexual predator and is not funny or amusing at all. However, I sadly find him to be the most realistically written gay character out of the plethora of gay characters on this show.
It is somewhat similar to some of the backlash that The Cosby Show faced. It featured a black family that was successful, rich, happy, well adjusted, and solved every problem with humour, love, and kindness. It was not realistic in the sense that it never really addressed any of the issues that face black families in America, thereby making the show feel as if it existed in a different universe or world even. Pardon the spin-off pun!
Sure, it was a comedy. But other shows tackled race issues in the framework of a sitcom. All in the Family, The Jefferson’s, Facts of Life, etc. Some of the best comedy comes from real life awkward situations … And so does some of the best drama!
I know Days is a soap opera. I know it is fantastic, over-the-top, campy, and not meant to be taken seriously. I guess in a universe where people come back from the dead every other week, we should also be expected to believe that every gay character is rich, happy, well adjusted, with accepting parents, siblings, and loving family and friends. That is just not the case.
When gay people say they want representation and inclusion in tv and film, we mean that we want it to be meaningful and important and not just throw away fluff. Unfortunately, for the most part, DAYS’ gays are just that.
The reality of being gay is much different from what this show presents. There is shame, guilt, fear, uncertainty, pain, strained family relations, depression, suicide, promiscuity, experimentation, drug and alcohol abuse, and so much more.
I am by no means saying that those things ALWAYS happen … But certainly more often that not. If you showed me a gay person like one on this show … Who came out with no problem, every family and friend was supportive, no sexual experimentation occurred, no substance abuse issues happened, no discrimination was faced, and they went directly into a committed monogamous relationship, I would show you a liar!
It would be nice to see a realistic portrayal of a gay person, but it will never happen on this show. My question is … if you are not going to include any truth in the gay stories or characters, why tell the stories at all?
This is like a Gay Fantasy League similar to Fantasy Football. Ron Carlivati has assembled his fantasy gay team of all beautiful, attractive, well adjusted, rich people that just does not happen in reality.
There is a lot of drama that could be mined from some true storytelling related to a gay person. And it is about quality over quantity. I would rather watch ONE well written gay character than watch 6 fanciful superficial ones with no substance.
Huh? Every single gay character you mentioned had some significant issues and pushback during their coming out stories. So. NO. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
And all gay characters have to live in angst and hatred for you to feel the character is ‘authentic’? No. Just no.
Leo is great. Period. Perhaps you have a bit of self loathing that you don’t want a portrayal of a witty, smart, yes – campy – gay character.
Just embrace the stories. Roll with it – and enjoy.
At one point Victor was thought to be Andrew’s father i think.So i’m wondering if maybe that could come out somehow now to Andrew and that could tap into the show’s history.

Patrick Muldoon and Jennifer Taylor Cast as Mike Manning’s Conservative Parents on ‘The Bay’
The ever-expanding cast of the streaming soap opera, The Bay, has announced two new additions for its upcoming 9th season, including Days of our Lives favorite Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin Reed). TV fans also know Patrick Muldoon from his role as Richard Hart on Melrose Place.
In story, The Bay will bring Caleb McKinnon’s parents into the mix. Caleb is played by Daytime Emmy-winner and Outstanding Supporting Actor nominee this year, Mike Manning.
According to Deadline, Muldoon, along with Jennifer Taylor (Two and a Half Men), will play Caleb’s ultra-conservative parents. When Caleb married Daniel Garrett (Eric Nelsen), they all but abandoned him. The season looks to bring a major story for Manning and hopefully and eventually love and acceptance from Caleb’s parents.

The casting news doesn’t stop there. Rhonda Ross has been tapped to play Colleen Givens, the biological mother of Pete Garrett’s (Kristos Andrews) wife Vivian (Karrueche Tran) in the new season.
Coleen is brought into the mix when Pete searches for Colleen after Vivian becomes ill. In the backstory, Colleen is a jazz singer who gave Vivian up for adoption at birth. Now she may be Vivian’s only hope to stay alive.

The series is up for 5 Daytime Emmy nomination at the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards on June 7th including: Outstanding Drama Series, Writing, Directing, A Martinez (Nard0) for Supporting Actor and the aforementioned Manning.

Kennedy Garcia on Joining the Cast of Days of our Lives: “For a Role to Come up for a Teenager with Down Syndrome was Just Amazing!”
Days of our Lives has made a groundbreaking move for the soaps, by casting Kennedy Garcia in the new role of Felicity. Viewers of the Peacock streaming soap opera will first see the character beginning the week of May 20th,
Garcia has previously appeared on primetime including on 9-1-1, This Is Us and more. Speaking to TV Insider, Kennedy shared: “I have wanted to be on a soap opera for a long time, so for a role to come up for a teenager with Down syndrome was just amazing!”
In real life, Kennedy who has Down syndrome is also a cancer survivor, and becomes he first teen with Down syndrome to land an ongoing role on the soaps. “It’s really such a special thing. I am so proud of Days of our Lives for taking this step and taking a chance on me. Inclusion in this industry is so important and I am proud to help move it forward.”

As to a little insight on her new role of Felicity in Salem, Garcia shared. “She is sweet, funny and kind. She is also very smart and she never misses anything. Most of all, she loves her family more than anything else. I think that viewers will love her and see the beauty she brings to everyone in her life.”
The actress added, “I hope that everyone will love Felicity and see that even though she has Down syndrome, she is cherished by her family and friends, she is capable of great things, and she’s a hard worker. I’m pretty sure she bakes better than I do. She is also a typical teenager who has real feelings and fears that people will see as her story goes on. I hope no one underestimates Felicity as a character, or actors with disabilities like me. Representation is so important and I’m so thankful for this opportunity to become Felicity and let you all get to know her, and me!”

TONIGHT: ‘Daytime Stands Up – A Benefit for Stand Up To Cancer’
On Thursday night May 16th, the daytime community comes together for Daytime Stands Up – A Benefit for Stand Up To Cancer, streaming live at 8 pm ET/5pm PT.
Stand Up To Cancer, in collaboration with leading daytime community voices Michael Fairman and Alan Locher, are coming together for a first-of-its-kind livestream event, Daytime Stands Up: A Benefit for Stand Up To Cancer … We All Have a Story.
The three-hour benefit will feature stars from the world of daytime drama television past and present, musical performances, and stories of emotional on- and off-screen experiences with cancer. Special celebrity guests will also join the effort to encourage viewers to support urgently needed research and new cancer treatments.
