There was some very good news this week for Jordi Vilasuso (ex-Y&R, DAYS, AMC, GL) and his wife, Kaitlin, as finally their new little bundle of joy, Lucy, was able to go from the hospital after the health scare following her birth.

In a touching Instagram post, Kaitlin was pictured holding her daughter in her arms, and in an accompanying photo, Jordi was seen with Lucy in his arms before leaving the hospital.

With heartfelt “thank you’s,” the Vilasusos shared the news expressing: “Lucy is HOME 😭🙏🏻 Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love and every.single.prayer (!!) lifted up for our sweet baby. We are so so happy to have her home and healthy (Lord please help us keep her healthy 😩🙏🏻) and for us to be back together under one roof. I missed that so much.”

Katilin added, “Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles, we are forever grateful for how well you took care of our girl. More on that when I’m a little less PTSDish, but forever grateful for the intelligence and compassion of each person who cared for her- especially her ICU nurses who are angels taking care of baby angels day in and day out. I have so much more to say about that, but for now, holding each and every child and family within those walls (and each and every person taking care of them) in our hearts.”

This is the first time, the public has heard of a new woman in Steve’s life since his divorce from his ex, Sheree Gustin, which was finalized in December 2023.  Burton and Gustin share three children together, daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son, Jack.

Back in May of 2022, Burton took to Instagram to share that he and Sheree had separated and the child she was carrying at the time was not his. Steve expressed: “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she is expecting her fourth child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time.”

GH’s Wally Kurth on Ned’s Talk To Brook Lynn Before Walking Her Down the Aisle: “Everytime I Read it, I Choked Up. At Rehearsal, I Choked Up”

On today’s Wednesday May 15th episode of General Hospital, it was the start of Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

With much of the family arriving from Bensonhurst, and an array of Q’s and their extended families in attendance, it was time to get the show on the road.

But before Brook Lynn headed down the aisle, she received a little talk from her dad, Ned (Wally Kurth). It was that talk that had many GH fans in tears.

Taking to X, Wally Kurth shared how emotional the dialog was from him, as well. Kurth expressed, “True story: when I first read that line at home, I choked up. Everytime I read it, I choked up. At rehearsal, I choked up. I told Amanda before taping, I’m afraid when I do this, I’ll be too self aware. I tried to stay in the moment. It was beautiful dialogue.”

Of course, the nuptials continue tomorrow and through the end of this week, where we finally learn if BLQ and Chase actually tie the knot. Stay tuned!

Motion Picture Star Chris Hemsworth, a ‘Home and Away’ Alum, Defends Soap Operas, ‘It Used to Bother Me When Actors Would Later Talk About the Show with Guilt or Shame”

Before Chris Hemsworth became a major film star, he started his career in Australian soap operas, where he got his first big break playing high school drop-out, Kim Hyde for four seasons on Home and Away.

Before that, Chris also appeared on Neighbours for one episode in the role of Marshall Law. Currently, firmly entrenched as one of the staples of the Marvel Comic Universe and Marvel films, including playing Thor since 2011, he spoke out for misrepresentations of the medium, and the soaps, while doing press for his latest film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

In an interview with the Times of London, as told by Variety, Hemsworth took issue with actors bashing their roles in the Marvel Universe after being paid handsomely for their work alluding to statements made by Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, and Christian Bale.

He then made to comparison to some actors who have appeared in daytime soap operas, who looked down on being on one,  =or tried to try to tuck it away later in their careers.

Hemsworth shared: “Look, I grew up on a soap opera. And it used to bother me when actors would later talk about the show with guilt or shame. Humility goes a long way. One of the older actors on ‘Home and Away’ said, ‘We don’t get paid to make the good lines sound good, but to make the bad ones work.’ That stuck with me.”

Check out a playlist of Chris Hemsworth’s as Kim in Home and Away below.

Now let us know what you think about Hemsworth’s comments on how some actors look down at being on a soap, via the comment section below.
