The tears will sure to be flowing on upcoming episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, as executive producer and head writer Brad Bell pulls out all the stops for fans of the long running series to say goodbye to their long time star, Susan Flannery as Stephanie Forrester!

As many know, Stephanie,  having been given a diagnosis that her lung cancer has returned and is incurable, decides to throw a party in celebration of her life.  So the series is bringing in the beautiful Irish all-female musical ensemble Celtic Woman  for some very special moments.  The group will appear as themselves on the Monday, November 12, and Tuesday, November 13th episodes.  During Stephanie’s life celebration, they will perform their hit single, “The Parting Glass”, a song dedicated to Stephanie by her loving husband, Eric Forrester (John McCook), and then will sing the classic Irish melody, “Danny Boy”.

“I can’t think of a more beautiful way to pay tribute to the character of ‘Stephanie Forrester’ and her Irish heritage than to bring in Celtic Woman to serenade her.”, said Brad Bell.  “Their distinctive voice and angelic melodies were the perfect accompaniment to this powerful and emotional storyline.”

The current touring ensemble of Celtic Woman features vocalists Chloë Agnew, Lisa Lambe, and Susan McFadden and Celtic Violinist Máiréad Nesbitt.   In 2013, Celtic Woman will embark on a 17-week North American tour.  If you do not know about Celtic Woman, you can check out their website here!

This is gonna be beautiful and sad!

Celtic music is beautiful and haunting at the same time, which seems fitting for the occasion of Stephanie’s party. I’m looking forward it. I’m sure this will one of those moments that will live on and on in soap’s history.

Well said. She deserves such a memorable sendoff.

Again, soaps can lead the way. We in North America can have such a hard time talking about death and dying. This whole storyline is another way to think about it, and truly inspirational.

This is a little off topic ,but I don’t know where else to post it. Bold and Beautiful doesn’t have a comment section like GH. I started watching B&B after ABC cancelled OLTL and AMC. I have a question about the post-partum thing that’s happening to Katie ( Heather Thom is doing a great job). I’m getting really impatient with her “depression.” I may not be fair because don’t know much about postpartum. Is this really they way some mothers can act if they are suffering from it?

Yes unfortunately in some cases postpartum can be as bad as Katie and in some cases worse. Also as you know the actress playing Katie is going on maternity leave so this condition gives them a plausible reason for Katie to exit the canvas for a while. I think HT did an excellant job protraying the confusion and fear that comes having this condition and I am praying her real life delivery and childbirth experience goes better than her character’s

Thanks Mary. I had no idea that it could be so extreme. And I hope the same for real life Heather.

Katie’s isn’t exactly post-partum depression. She is more upset that she won’t live long because she had a heart transplant.

Maybe it’s a combo of post-partum and her heart transplant which explains her ultra-emotions right now.

They are one of my favorite groups and will be wonderful to pay tribute to Stephanie//Susan. I wish they would sing some of their other classics. I love You Lift Me Up and their version of Amazing Grace. I think Chloe has the purist voice.

I love Celtic Women and would love to see Grant Alexander play Ridge Forrester.

Note to Michael if you read these comments…I’ve really enjoyed having a place to discuss Bold & Beautiful, especially because I’m new to the show since ABC cancellations. Is there a way you could set up a “board” for us B&B need-to-get-it -off-our-chest/ask-question viewers, because the show doesn’t do it on their own home page. I never had a place to talk about the Liam, Hope and Stephie triangle, and how I wondered why anyone would want to marry Liam.

That is exactly the question fans have been asking for months since he doesn’t seem much of a catch. But to be fair when the character first came to town he was much different and he made a good match with Hope. Then the Spencer connection to Liam came out and the poor boy was never the same again. Right now I think the show played that triangle too much so we might not see it on the front burner for a while, which is good, because one guy can only go back and forth so much without looking like a fool.

Thanks again Mary. But it ‘s not just him that looks the fool.

i agree. I’m a Scott Clifton fan but Liam is so unlikeable why would any woman want him? Smart women, foolish choices I guess. Or apparently a lack of available young men in L.A? I call The Triangle “Bermuda” because it made all the other characters mysteriously desappear.

Serena Scott Thomas to Days of our Lives, But What Role Will She Play?

Look who’s coming to Salem next? In a tease on their official Instagram account, Days of our Lives has revealed that Serena Scott Thomas has been on set and will debut in an upcoming role, leaving many fans guessing just who might she play.

The English actress and documentary producer has previously starred in Diana, Her Story as Diane Prince of Wales, Dr. Molly Warmflash in the James Bond  film The World Is Not Enough, and played the villainess ‘Watcher” in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Bruce Willis’ wife in the film, Hostages among others.

Serena is the younger sister of Kristen Scott Thomas, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in The English Patient. Several DAYS fans are already weighing in that Serena will play Konstantine’s (John Kaeplos) wife.

However, NannyKat 63 may have it all figured out the best, when she posted, that not only will “Serena play Kostantine’s wife,” but the character “had an affair with Victor Kiriakis and got pregnant.” Thus, making Xander (Paul Telfer) her son. She went on to theorize, “Perhaps, And John and Steve will find her in the nick of time… and she’ll enter in time to stop the wedding of Maggie to him. Xander will find out his true identity then. The baby was given to Victor’s brother to be raised in Scotland.”

Sounds plausible to us! Another guess came from donnamoore_23 who said, “Ya’ll think he could be Bobberette ‘s mom or sister or .. SOMETHING to do with his story .. someone who can back up what trauma he went through to be so sick? 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I think y’all are right could be Katerina.”

Two DAYS stars, Tamara Braun (Ava) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) also shared comments on Serena Scott Thomas’ upcoming appearance on DAYS. Godfrey simply said, “YES!!!! while Braun add her guess, expressing, “Ava’s mum. Oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad. Or was she? 🤔”

So, what do you think? What role will Serena Scott Thomas play on Days of our Lives? Share your theories in the comment section below.
