Watch The Replay: DAYS Hangout With A Martinez and Galen Gering!

On Tuesday night, On-Air On-Soaps Michael Fairman hosted the latest DAYS Hangout with very special guests: A Martinez, who will soon be arriving in Salem in the new role of Eduardo, the father of the Hernandez clan, and his on-screen son, Galen Gering (Rafe).

The other member of the Hernandez family, Camila Banus, (Gabi), who was scheduled to be a part of the live event unfortunately had fallen under the weather shortly before broadcast time, and was unable to participate. We will reschedule another DAYS Hangout with her in the near future, since she is set to return on-screen on the September 17th episode of the NBC sudser.

Joining A, Galen, and Michael for the live hangout were DAYS fans from literally around the globe, and across the United States who had the opportunity to pose some questions to the actors including: Ian Charles Stewart from Auckland, New Zealand, Carolyn Topol from Connecticut, Dottie Di Liddo and Noell Reed Jr. from Virginia, James Ruff from Alabama, and Lisa Nelsen Kemper from California.

The DAYS Hangout marked the first time A Martinez had spoken publicly about his new role as Eduardo. Daytime fans remember him most for for his Daytime Emmy-winning as iconic role as Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara. Below are a just a few of the teases and intriguing tidbits offered up by the Days of our Lives stars during the live broadcast.

When discussing how he was contacted about the role on DAYS, A related: “Josh Griffith (co head-writer DAYS), because he worked on Santa Barbara, I think imagined me in this role and so he called. When someone calls you and you know their work as a writer, and you respect them it’s easy to say, “Yes”. Josh told me about the role: ‘Trust me this is in your wheelhouse.”’

Galen Gering revealed there is some major conflict ahead with the arrival of Eduardo on the scene: “Between the three of us our characters have distinctly different memories of our childhood and a different point of view coming in. So what she (Gabi) wants, what I (Rafe) want, and what he (Eduardo) wants are not necessarily meshing, and that makes for good storytelling.”

When asked who their love interests will be on the show, especially since it appears Rafe has a major crush on Hope (Kristian Alfonso), but there are clearly two other men in his way right now, Hope’s relationship with Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove), and the impending return of Bo (Peter Reckell), Gering teased about some other women in Rafe’s orbit in Salem: “There is a potential for some ‘suitresses”‘ (Laughs). A added: “My character has been involved in some character lives in a very provocative level.”

As for what other cast members he has had a chance to work with, Martinez hinted with: “I’ve been friends with Drake Hogestyn (John) for 35 years, and now I am able to do scenes with him, and am involved in a storyline that he has been invested in most of the time he has been here, and it’s pretty cool. I’ve has some great scenes with Kassie DePaiva (Eve) and Lauren Koslow (Kate), too.”

A also shared this about Eduardo’s character disposition: “I like the fact that he has a good deal of mystery to him. He is extremely wounded and has built a psychology that is really complicated, and not particularly well-founded. So I think there is tremendous flexibility inside the character to play all kinds of things. It’s almost like within the same show, it’s like putting a mask off and putting another mask on. ”

Serena Scott Thomas to Days of our Lives, But What Role Will She Play?

Look who’s coming to Salem next? In a tease on their official Instagram account, Days of our Lives has revealed that Serena Scott Thomas has been on set and will debut in an upcoming role, leaving many fans guessing just who might she play.

The English actress and documentary producer has previously starred in Diana, Her Story as Diane Prince of Wales, Dr. Molly Warmflash in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, and played the villainess ‘Watcher” in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Bruce Willis’ wife in the film, Hostages among others.

Serena is the younger sister of Kristen Scott Thomas, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in The English Patient. Several DAYS fans are already weighing in that Serena will play Konstantine’s (John Kaeplos) wife.

However, NannyKat 63 may have it all figured out the best, when she posted, that not only will “Serena play Kostantine’s wife,” but the character “had an affair with Victor Kiriakis and got pregnant.” Thus, making Xander (Paul Telfer) her son. She went on to theorize, “Perhaps, And John and Steve will find her in the nick of time… and she’ll enter in time to stop the wedding of Maggie to him. Xander will find out his true identity then. The baby was given to Victor’s brother to be raised in Scotland.”

Sounds plausible to us! Another guess came from donnamoore_23 who said, “Ya’ll think he could be Bobberette ‘s mom or sister or .. SOMETHING to do with his story .. someone who can back up what trauma he went through to be so sick? 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I think y’all are right could be Katerina.”

Two DAYS stars, Tamara Braun (Ava) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) also shared comments on Serena Scott Thomas’ upcoming appearance on DAYS. Godfrey simply said, “YES!!!! while Braun add her guess, expressing, “Ava’s mum. Oh wait, her mom was killed by her dad. Or was she? 🤔”

Arianne Zucker Reveals Her Last Days of our Lives Airdate

Arianne Zucker, who is no longer on contract with Days of our Lives, and involved in a lawsuit against the show, took to her You Tube channel and in her latest episode, and offered up what she believes is her final airdate as Nicole Walker DiMera.

The actress expressed: “I was really appreciative of the amount of support that I have had since leaving Days of our Lives.” She then added, “My last airdate, I think, it’s July 29th and we’ll see how things go after that.”

Zucker went on to say how she has continued to receive overwhelming support since suing her former employer, Corday Productions, with the allegations that former Co-EP Albert Alarr sexually harassed her and other females at the show, and that the production company entity did not respond sufficiently and adequately.

After lodging her complaints, Zucker said her agents received two notices that Corday Productions were reducing her pay before her character was ultimately written off. Zucker’s contract expired in January and since DAYS tapes over six months ahead it brings her final airdate, which as of now, to the end of July. Zucker is suing for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, negligent hiring and supervision, and wrongful termination among other claims.

Previously, Corday Productions issued this statement on Zucker’s claims: “The allegations in Ms. Zucker’s lawsuit are without merit. Corday Productions, offered to renew Ms. Zucker’s contract including offering her a pay increase. Rejecting Ms. Zucker’s counteroffer does not constitute retaliation. Complaints about Mr. Alarr’s on-set behavior were promptly investigated. Corday Productions fully cooperated with the impartial investigation and subsequently terminated Mr. Alarr.”

On her You Tube channel, Arianne went on to thank everyone who came out to the east coast fan event last weekend that featured several DAYS stars. She expressed, “My whole goal is to really help people stand up for themselves.” Arianne also shared she thinks it’s important for people who have gone through trauma to help each other through it.

On DAYS, Nicole is still in the dark that Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) is raising her child, Jude, with Eric (Greg Vaughan), and Eric also doesn’t know that he is raising his biological son. Will Eric and Nicole reunite and will Nicole find out what Sloan, Melinda and Leo (Greg Rikaart) have been hiding for months, before she exits the show? Stay tuned. There has been on official confirmation from DAYS that July 29th is Zucker’s final airdate.

DAYS and ‘Supernatural’ Alum Jensen Ackles Joins the Cast of Justin Hartley’s CBS Series ‘Tracker’

Look who’s joining Justin Hartley’s hit freshman drama, Tracker! None other than another soap alum, former Days of our Lives and Supernatural favorite Jensen Ackles.

In a reveal via Hartley’s Instagram on Thursday, Ackles is set to play Hartley’s on-screen brother on the CBS procedural drama. In Tracker, Colter Shaw is estranged from his brother, Russell, which has been a big part of the mystery of season one.

Ackles is best known for his long run as Dean Winchester in The CW’s Supernatural, a role he reprised in the prequel of the series The Winchesters. He also recently starred in ABC’s Big Sky as Sheriff Beau Arlen and in The Boys as Soldier Boy.

Jensen was the original Eric Brady on Days of our Lives, a role he played from 1997-2000, before departing for the world of primetime and film. Eric was in love with Nicole played by Arianne Zucker. The part of Eric was recast with Greg Vaughan taking over the role in 2012.

In his Instagram post, Justin thanked everyone for watching Tracker, and then revealed Ackles as the surprise casting announcement in the role of Russell, while Jensen was playing pinball in the video! No word yet on when Jensen’s first episode as Russell will air. Stay tuned.
