Drunk Brooke Steals The Show At Bill and Katie's Wedding On The Bold and the Beautiful!

A drunk Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was all the rage on Wednesday on social media and on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful!  In fact, so many fans of the daytime drama tweeted how much they loved hashtag #DrunkBrooke!

The set-up had Brooke downing champagne glass after champagne glass, as she continued her bender that she already started, before even getting to her sister Katie (Heather Tom) and her former flame Bill’s (Don Diamont) nuptials.

Once in the middle of the marriage ceremony, as Brooke stood up for her sister, she would make out of place aside remarks that those in attendance initially laughed off, or looked a bit shocked by.  Later, in two key scenes during the reception, Brooke was continuing her intake of alcohol when Katie asked her if she was doing OK.  And covering her pain, and with double meanings, Brooke says she is glad she stepped aside, so that Katie and Bill could reunite.

And in the final moments of the episode, Drunk Brooke made a toast to the happy couple, which clearly indicated she was trying to smile through her tears, but just couldn’t, and needed a vice to cope.  Yup!  Brooke is on her way to being one of the booziest characters on the soaps!

Hats off to B&B star Katherine Kelly Lang for this performance as a woman who no longer has a man in her romantic life for one of the first times in her life, and whose family members are all finding happiness and love around her.  To numb the pain, Brooke is going down the path of other soap characters, but watching Lang’s take on this new twist in the life of her character is fascinating!  Will Deacon (Sean Kanan), who has had his trouble with booze in the past, be the man to save Brooke in the months ahead?  We will all have to stay tuned to find out.

Watch Drunk Brooke in action after the jump during Bill and Katie’s wedding reception! Then let us know, did you enjoy Katherine’s performance?  What did you think of a drunk Brooke?  Share your thoughts below!

Melody Thomas Scott she is NOT.

Brooke needs to get a life. I do not enjoy poorly acted “drunk Brooke” nor do I enjoy “tears running down one eye Brooke” either. Does she ever have a dry eye?

I think there are a lot of delusional people out there on social media especially when they find this garbage entertaining.

The character of Brooke is so self-absorbed, but I guess that is par for the course in the world we live in. It is disgusting how she can make excuses for her son who fired a gun in a room where two people were not to mention the other side of the wall or ricochet.

Why the writers would choose the sister who slept with Katie’s husband to be her maid of honor is beyond me. Donna should have been the choice. But I guess they have to make Brooke the front and center of everything, but it won’t work.

Brooke only thinks of her needs which come from the south.

I thought it odd that Katie chose Brooke to be her matron of honor as well. Maybe Katie shouldn’t have had one.

They should have just eloped with their son. I don’t understand why soap writers just HAVE to have big weddings and small weddings complete with the WHITE dress. This remarriage could not hold a candle to how sweet Bill and Katie looked at their first wedding. It would have been nice if the three of them just went off together and got hitched and had a little honeymoon or else did everything off camera.

I loved their first wedding.

Katie should not have worn white. A nice yellow or green or pink dress would have been better. And why wasn’t Will there on the lap of Liam?

Kelly is the most underrated actress on soaps. She does a great day year in and year out ans is still as popular. Given a choice, I’d take Kelly any day.

I take heather tom any day

I think Kelly did a good job. Brooke was inappropriate. She just didn’t want to be without her security blanket, i.e., booze.

I really didn’t like drunk Brooke, but then again, I don’t like Brooke. Any woman who “needs” a man is pathetic. What happen to the Brooke who discovered BeLieF? She used to be a business woman who stood up for herself. This is really bad. I see Bill Bell is still trying to get KKL an Emmy at the expense of all the other actors on B&B. I agree that Katie would never had Brooke stand up for her, Katie isn’t that cruel. But she did, so maybe Katie is going thru a personality change too!

Actually, Katie IS that cruel. She is the one who allegedly supported Brooke remarrying Ridge, all the while carrying on with him behind Brooke’s back, then “fake fainting” to stop the wedding.

And the “Brooke needs a man” garbage is just that: GARBAGE. She has been without a man more often than not on this show. I’ve lost count of the times the newly, inexplicably sainted Ridge dumped her to run off with an allegedly “worthier” woman.

Bill Bell isn’t in charge anymore. Brad Bell never promotes KKL for an Emmy; instead, he promotes his pets, including the overrated Heather Tom, who has won repeated Emmys at the expense of the other actors on B&B for the past few years. So if by some miracle, KKL gets nominated and actually gets an Emmy, I say GOOD, spread the wealth around instead of handing it automatically to an overrated actress like Heather Tom, who doesn’t really deserve it, and who doesn’t carry this show like KKL does.

LOVE this post…and its all on point. KKL is the center of this show..I love her character Brooke..she is the ONLY reason I’ve watched for all 27 years.

heather tom was nominated again this time because she is the best. your just jealous person.

Katherine Kelly Lang carries this show and has for most of the last 20 years. Without her involvement in a storyline, this show is total boredom. Persecuting her and denigrating the character has kept this show on the air. Most would like to see the smart, savvy business woman of BeLief back, but Bradley Bell believes trashing Brooke and inserting her in every one else’s storyline keeps this show interesting. Heather Tom is so boring, she is intolerable. She has no chemistry with anyone. Bell clearly hoped Tom would be the younger female lead but she has failed and needs Brooke to keep her character up front. I never understood her Emmy wins on Y&R or especially B&B. Yawn. Perhaps for whinning and shrewery.

Ah yes, the old “jealousy” accusation. I’m actually disappointed you couldn’t come up with something less pathetic. I’m not jealous of Heather Tom. She doesn’t have a damn thing I want.

She gets nominated because she’s who Bad Smell, aka Brad Bell (a beneficiary of nepotism himself) promotes. She’s his pet, and she won Emmys when she was on Y&R, so it’s “tradition.” Also, there are only, what, four soaps left on the air.

Ms. Tom is a good actress but not deserving of all those awards, and she doesn’t carry the show AT ALL. No one gave a crap about Katie when Brooke was gone for three months. She needs Brooke to prop her up and to act “superior” to, although she’s in no way, shape or form superior — she’s a ho impersonating a virgin and a shrill, vile, mean-spirited, manipulative hag on top of it.

Its the ‘Brooke And The Beautiful’ show…lol

Y-E-P…UNFORTUNATELY!!!!! And…Brooke is such a whiny, needy and annoying TRAIN-WRECK!!!!! E-N-O-U-G-H ALREADY!!!!!!

Have a good one, Jim. Take care. Peace, bro.

Brooke is the only reason you haters watch this show. You’d think you’d be gloating about Katie and Bill’s “happy occasion,” or about the romance between Ridge and his dead wife’s much-younger niece, which is vile and disgusting but is presented as something sweet and romantic. But instead, you’re bitching and moaning about Brooke. If she left, you would have no reason to go on watching. And if you want to talk whiny, needy and annoying, look no further than the so-called “heroine” Katie, who “needs” a man — specifically, she needs a man she can control, who will reassure her of how wonderful she is on a daily basis and as “how high?” when she says “jump.”

lalogan…you are again correct! if Brooke wasn’t on this soap, trust me, it would be the Boring and more Boring, for sure

When Brad Bell mentioned recently he was taking Brooke somewhere she’s never been before, I was hoping that would mean she would take life by horns, sorta like Sally Spectra did– but instead we have Brooke falling into the bottle– the message being if you don’t have a man or a family to lean on a woman will replace the love they think they don’t have with booze. I do think it makes sense for this character, it is just sad to see them go this route with her.

As for her performance. Long time ago when I took acting classes, one my teachers explained the key to play drunk is not to be a sober person trying to act drunk, but be a drunk person trying to act sober. Which means don’t stagger because that is what a drunk person does, you have to try to walk straight, but can’t. Don’t slur your speech but try to speak normally but can’t because the words become slur.

Basically drunks don’t act drunk, they are drunk, they are trying to act like they are sober, but can’t because they are not. So when I watch an actor playing someone who is drunk, I watch to see if can tell which approach they are taking, and with this actress, she a bit of both. Sometimes she comes across as if she is truly drunk and trying not to show it, and other times it looks like she is just copying what she thinks a drunk person would do. So overall I give her drunk performance a B.

KKL is doing a great job in the role. I hope that it’s Ridge who saves her or better yet that she saves herself. Deacon is just scum and Brooke deserves better than a jobless, homeless, ex-con for a savior/boyfriend. I hope this storyline ends soon.

Ridge saves her? The man who raped her and has abused her nonstop for over 25 years? No, let him rut with his dead wife’s niece, who’s young enough to be his daughter, about a month after rutting with Brooke’s sister. Brooke should save herself and stop buying into all the propaganda that the prissy, undeservedly self-righteous, so-called “good people” on this show — who have all kinds of misdeeds, including drunkenness, on their rosters — keep spewing about her.

Kudos to KKL! KKL knocked it out of the park as drunk Brooke…but then she always does. As an almost day-one viewer and fan of Brooke Logan, I am not crazy about this SL since it is completely out of character for Brooke to be self-destructive and crawl into a bottle over any man. Also, there is nothing NEW at all about this recycled SL since Macy and Taylor already played falling down drunks on B&B. Of course, they didn’t provide the comic relief Brooke has….thank goodness she was at the Batie wedding … it was so dry and boring and unbelievable that nobody would have cared otherwise!

I could enjoy also BB without Brooke 3 Months !!!!!

Mija…I (myself) could enjoy B&B W-I-T-H-O-U-T Brooke PERIOD!!!!!

No you couldn’t. You didn’t even watch when Brooke was gone. That’s because nothing else on the show interests you. You just want to watch Brooke so you can bitch and moan about her. You base everything on Brooke — who you root for, who you consider a great person — most recently it was Katie, who you previously reviled as one of the “worthless Logans” and who you blasted for “betraying” Bridget with Nick, and whom you said “wasn’t woman enough” for Bill when Ridge and Taylor’s skanky daughter Steffy was trying to seduce him — which couple you consider a supercouple — three months ago it was Katie/Ridge, then with blinding speed, it became Ridge/Caroline. Why? Because you were gloating about how Brooke was getting hurt/rejected.

So cut the crap about how you could enjoy B&B without Brooke. Without Brooke, there would be no reason for you to watch it.

lalogan…a few things:

1. Don’t E-V-E-R put words in my mouth…I truly hate that!!!!!
2. W-R-O-N-G…let me tell you something: When Katherine Kelly Lang was off B&B for a while…and competing on Italy’s DWTS, it was a TOTAL PLEASURE watching B&B without Brooke and her needy and whiny behavior cluttering up B&B air time!!!!!
3. My FAVORITE B&B characters are the following: Bill, Carter, Charlie, Deacon, Donna, Ivy, Katie, Maya, Pam, Quinn and Steffy. Trust me…Brooke AIN’T one of my favorite B&B characters and NEVER WILL BE!!!!! Nope.
4. FYI: I CANNOT STAND CAROLINE!!!!! From Day 1 (as an example), Caroline has done nothing but ridicule, sabotage and thumb her nose up at Maya…NOT COOL AT ALL!!!!!
5. One last thing: To me, Katie is W-A-Y MORE MATURE than Brooke and ALWAYS WILL BE!!!!!

Take care.

I totally agree, they could send Brooke back to Milan indefinitely.
Everyone is so upset about the Ridge/Caroline affair especially Steffie.
Doesn’t anyone remember when Steffie had a thing for dollar Bill?

Oh yeah…Katie is more mature than Brooke, as she proved when she sneaked around with Ridge behind Brooke’s back and fake-fainted to stop their wedding. She also ran out on her husband and kid to feel sorry for herself, and repeatedly demanded a divorce from Bill because he wouldn’t kiss her ass the way she wanted. She whines all the time about what a victim she (thinks she) is, and refused to let Bill see his son — why? Because she was angry about his relationship with Brooke, never mind that it has nothing to do with his abilities as a father. After humping Ridge, she immediately made a beeline over to Brooke’s house to whine about how Brooke “was just using Bill to make Ridge jealous.” Uh, no, ho, that’s your and Ridge’s territory. All you talked about during your so-called romance was Brooke, Bill, Brooke, Brooke, and Brooke…even while in bed.

I will put words in your mouth all I want. I know you haters. You claim to hate Brooke but she’s the only reason you watch this rotten show.

then make plans to TURN OFF the show ;cause Brooke Logan ain’t going nowhere..without her, it would be dead…as in doornail…

It’s pretty hard for a drunk NOT to steal the show when the epi and direction focuses on the drunk. A vase could steal the show if it were the wish of the writers.
Somewhat disappointing that despite all the promises for a new direction for Brooke, that they went old and used SL’s from Macy, Taylor and Nicki. But for a one-note character, there’s no where to really go.
Brooke was drunk numerous times over the years that led her into making a fool of herself. Then she popped pills like they were candy. The SL isn’t new, really, Bell is just desperate and is expanding on it.
Sadly, KKL, IMO, isn’t pulling it off as well as the other actors. Very forced and fake.

No one cares about the other people at the wedding, including the bride and groom. The only way to get anyone to pay attention to this dull, stupid wedding was to throw Brooke into it. Bill/Katie has no fans. They were a flop the first time and they’re a flop this time.

Curious how no one questioned why Ridge, who just a month or so ago, was engaged to Katie (with an old smelly red ribbon on her finger instead of an engagement ring) was there…unless it was to try and make his romance with Caroline look viable instead of the perverted tripe it is.

lebeautiful wedding you should watch something else. beautiful couple

What happy horse manure.Brooke has spend most of her life without a man in her life! Her marriages/relationships have lasted a few months before a dead wife popped up from the grave, or Ridge destroyed her happiness with his relentless stupidity and interference.

KKL is great; but, this latest revisionist history is insulting. Brooke has endured worse without turning to alcohol.

Yes she has. Much worse. She’s survived nearly being killed by the sainted bitch Stephanie, who I hope is frying in hell. She survived being brutally raped, which was set up by the sainted bitch Stephanie. She survived Ridge walking out on her repeatedly after promising to be a family. She survived her father’s betrayal. She survived the untimely death of her mother, thanks to the sainted bitch Stephanie.

This crap about how she “can’t survive without a man” — PLEASE!! She has been without a man for most of this soap’s history!

I Love that for once she doesn’t have a man! Maybe there will be a new guy out there for her and not a recycled one

For once? She has been without a man more often than she’s been with one on this soap.

Seriously? I haven’t been watching all that long but I got the impression she went from man to man?

Yes, seriously. You got faulty info, as does every person who hasn’t been watching all that long. The show acts like Brooke has never been without a man, she goes from man to man, when that is not the case AT ALL. Meanwhile, the other characters are painted as being as pure as the new driven snow, when they are far from it. Ridge is the biggest whore on the show. He can’t be without a woman, and he goes from woman to woman, sometimes in the same day. He was all set to marry Katie just a month or so ago, and now he’s “in love” with Caroline, who is the niece of his first wife. He was all set to marry Brooke around this time last year, while carrying on with Katie (Brooke’s sister) behind Brooke’s back.

Brooke has made plenty of eff-ups and done plenty of bad things — all of which she’s been punished for, often more harshly than she deserved — but the same is true of all the other characters on the show — only they never get punished at all. Stephanie set Brooke up to be violently raped, and suffered zero consequences — to name just one of a million or so examples.

Katherine is doing amazing as Brooke with an alcohol issue. I know she’ll rock it as she does every storyline. I just hope that Brooke gets through this without a man, especially Ridge, helping her.

There is much to this disease that the show can explore and educate people with. I hope they take it seriously and don’t just use it as an excuse to have Ridge play hero.

And of course Brooke was the only interesting part of the Batie wedding, what a waste that they are back together and Brill was trashed.

It’s somewhat realistic that Brooke would turn to the bottle, having “given up” Bill, and been rejected by Ridge(again). I agree, that they’ve done this with Taylor and Macy, but KKL conveys her pain at finding herself alone at her age, you can see WHY she’s turning to alcohol. All the glaring, stares, she’s covering up the pain with booze. To me, Nikki(YR), never really sold me as a drunk, neither did Taylor, but Brooke has lost 2 men, her grandchild, her OWN baby, Rick is goin crazy and she prolly blames herself for that as well.i’d prolly hit the bottle too. Its a storyline, people, just watch!!! I’d rather watch this instead of Brooke in another love triangle!!! LOL

I thought before they had Brooke manless and diving into the bottle, but the storyline didn’t last too long. And if she wanted a man, she could get one. She would just have to go outside the family.

Brooke is the only great character on this show, and instead of doing a drunk storyline with her they should show her kicking Ridge’ s butt and straightening out Rick. As far as Bill and Katie as a couple what a joke. Bill is dynamic and Katie is as dull as dishwater!

They are not dull bill and Katie are the best

Hunter did drinking better than KKL has and Melody Thomas Scott is a past master. I think drunk Brooke looks like a cartoon character and watching this is embarrassing. Too bad Brad Bell has so little imagination as a writer.up

I think KKL did a good job but she made a jackass of herself. Please find a damn man for her so we can keep Ridge with Caroline. I don’t want her too win the cocky way she snapped her fingers to Caroline about how quick she could get Ridge back. I didn’t watch the whole show today because it was sooooooo disappointing when Eric came back & accepted that son’s actions after the way he treated everyone especially Alley with the shoes. I turned it off after the hug.

Yes, please, keep the greasy old man Ridge with his dead wife’s niece! Those two trifling skanks deserve each other. Do NOT throw Brooke at them to drum up interest in them, the way it is done with every other failed couple on this show. Let them rut in their own filth and carry their own repulsive storyline.

Brooke doesn’t need a man. She’s not a pathetic, spineless skank like Taylor, who fell to pieces and drunkenly ran over Darla, killing her, when Ridge dumped her (another time she got drunk and set her stupid self on fire).

Oh my goodness All the anger & hate. It’s just a story Calm down. Get out much do we?

@Nikki: Where’s your catty comments when ppl are bashing KKL/Brooke? @lalogan is simply stating facts that have long been ignored by the Brooke haters who like to re-write history when it doesn’t go their way.

@lalogan ITA with everything that you’ve said on here. Brooke is the first to admit she’s no Saint and has more than paid for her past indiscretions; how many others on this show can say the same?

Brooke doesn’t need a man to validate her. She’s at a crossroads right now that at this point in time in her life never thought she would find herself in. She’s lost, but she’ll find the strength to find the right path again. She’s survivor!

Exactly, laney! Thank you for your support. The haters get all up in arms when someone (rightly) points out that Ridge is scum, but they have no problem with the vile hate that is regularly spewed at Brooke — and KKL, even though KKL is PORTRAYING Brooke, and isn’t actually Brooke. They’re the ones having problems realizing this is just a show and the characters aren’t real.

Nikki, shove your self-righteousness where the sun don’t shine, unless you’re willing to take the Brooke-haters to task and lecture them about “not taking it so seriously.” They’re the ones who were handing out flyers in front of churches to protest Hunter Tylo leaving the show, saying it was “wrong” that “moral” Taylor was leaving while “slutty” Brooke remained.

My top comment still stands, I don’t hate any of them. I just like Ridge better with Caroline because it’s always Ridge & Brook. I also don’t like the way she snapped her fingers at Caroline just tacky that’s all. I know absolutely nothing about any Hunter Tylo or churches considering I just started watching it when Brook was at the cabin with Stephany & I will still say it is just a show.

I like Ridge better off the show. I loathe Ridge and I especially loathe how he’s always presented as “the prize” and a “good guy” when he’s actually a scumbag rapist (among other things).

And no, it is not always Ridge and Brooke. It has very rarely been Ridge and Brooke, and even when they were together, it was only a matter of weeks before Ridge’s mama had a real or faked health crisis and he would remarry Taylor at her behest. He was married to Taylor for most of the show’s history. Not that I object; she was welcome to the scumbag. I just hated how Brooke was repeatedly thrown into their insipid union because they didn’t have the chops or charisma to carry their own storylines.

I am and have always been a fan of Brooke Logan. And this nonsense of her “being without a man for the first time” is pure b.s. KKL is pulling off the drunk sl a lot better than previous actresses because she isn’t acting drunk, instead she is trying not to show that she has had too much to drink.

I don’t like this latest “new direction” for the character because it isn’t new. Macy and Taylor did the drunk, poor pitiful me thing and this is just BBell not having any idea where to go next. At least Brooke isn’t doing the poor pitiful me routine. She smiles and tries to be gracious while keeping how she really feels inside.

I want to see Brooke back in the corporate world. Not at loose ends with too much time on her hands. Brill would have been the greatest power couple. And face it, had it not been for drunk Brooke, no one would have tuned in for the boring redux of Batie. Katie looking all smug and Bill looking very bored. It’s as though a few months ago, when Katie was faking a heart attack to keep Ridge from getting back with Brooke, never happened.

beautiful wedding and beautiful couplye not boring at all

Brooke is a real stomach turner, drunk or sober. Why didn’t she return from Italy with some hunky Italian man if she’s so hot? Personally, I’m so sick of those tears in every scene I was hoping she’d decide to stay in Italy forever. It was so nice without her. KKL playing a drunken Brooke was – no surprise. In fact, this character is so predictable it would have been a stunner if she hadn’t been drunk.

Nikki Newman is the best drunk in daytime period. Brooke is a washed up has been lol. Nikki Newman rules, I want to have vodka, with Nikki. lol.

I need a drink after reading all of these “drunk” comments. Oh, I forgot! I gave it up for lent! Should have given up watching Bold!

Nothing against KKL’s performance, but I’m also not enjoying Drunk Brooke or the reasons why she is drinking so much. I wish that Brooke would be strong and take no prisoners and have a new love interest. B&B has more money than the other soaps because of the international rights they’ve sold overseas. Why can’t B&B hire another actor for KKL? Why does Brooke on the show have to fall apart because she has no man, while all the men on the show have at least one woman panting after them? I don’t get it at all. I can only hope that when Brooke hits rock bottom, she then rises very high very fast, and I hope it happens soon.

I stopped watching this show. I do not enjoy brooke turning to booze at all. alcoholism is a serious disease that coss lives and broken homes as well. I miss feisty brooke that is a lot more enjoyable. the catfights out of brooke are more believable.

KKL is doing a fabulous job with this storyline!!! Who knew it could be so much fun to watch a drunk woman at what would have been an incredibly boring wedding without her. Even in her drunk state, Brooke didn’t do what her evil sister did to her as the maid of honor at a wedding where both sisters were in love with the groom and what Katie did to Brooke’s daughter Bridget after convincing her to go after Nick, only to go behind her back and get pregnant with his child, even though Bridget knew Nick was still in love with Brooke and didn’t want to pursue him at all. Not to mention all the other times Katie has betrayed her sister and tried to look superior, like when she actually threw her ring at her husband and asked her sister to be with him because she could make him much happier than Katie ever could and then turn around and said that her sister betrayed her and pretending to be a saint, but stabbing her in the back and stopping the wedding to the man Brooke has married over and over again and spent lots of years loving by having an affair with him behind Brooke’s back. Who’s the saint, really? Brooke only did what her sister asked her to do but felt horrible about it, and Katie has betrayed the other Logan women over and over again. Enough about Katie! I find it tiring to talk about her. She’s just the new Taylor. Unlike these hypocritical self-proclaimed saints Brooke doesn’t set out to be mean even though she sometimes does things that most people wouldn’t when she’s following her heart. The “haters” will always continue to do their favorite thing which is to spend lots and lots of time talking about a character they pretend not to care for at all and wish never to see again instead of talking about things they actually say they like. Now talk about a comic relief. How many hours of any given week would you spend talking about someone you so-called “hate” when there are so many other better things to do with your time? Is someone you don’t care for at all really worth all of this time and effort? LOL Seems like there must be something you love if you think it’s worth all of this time and starting fights with people over. You’re hilarious so thank you for the entertainment although you might not set out to be funny.

Everyone can have his opinion – I have mine!!! and I am not the only one

Carpe diem !

Doesn’t matter if your “opinion” is based on lies and false info, and willful ignorance of any inconvenient facts, as all the Brooke-haters’ opinions are.

I thought she was funny. The nose-twitch was hilarious.

Send Brooke to another reality show and after the other day – have her take Eric with her. What the H is wrong with him? I for one found the show more enjoyable without Brooke. Imagine Eric backing Rick after all he’s done. I was dumbfounded. You can’t write s___t like this – oh wait a minute apparently you can. I started a soft spot in my heart for Brooke when Stephanie was dying – but when the red nightie came out with Bill – soft spot went away. It was clear she was after him no matter what was going on with Katie. I have heard many times Oh well that couple was having trouble anyway. Well of course, if that couple wasn’t having trouble nothing would be going on. Brooke got a little flicker when she was around Bill and set out to get him. Brooke also must figure Eric was having a mid-life crisis when she was with him. With all of this said I’m sure KKL is a wonderful lady – but I would just as soon send Brooke Dancing Away again. Keep Ridge and Caroline together.
Rick is an arse.

It was funny I was thinking the same thing. I wondered what happened to Eric’s manhood to allow little Ricky to fire a gun at two people just because he made $$$ for the company.

Then after that scene closed I had a commercial for Olive Garden that showcased their meatballs and bread sticks. I kinda figured that is what happened to Eric because he is not a man anymore.

Oh, I don’t know. Eric has let Ridge, who isn’t even his by blood, get away with all kinds of crap, including running the company into the ground and abandoning his family. Ridge may be a good designer but he has no business smarts. Rick showed he could run the company. Ridge nearly brought it to ruin. And of course he ran straight into Massimo’s arms when Eric displeased him, only to come running back when it suited him, calling Eric “dad” while justifying sticking his tongue down Bridget’s (Eric’s youngest daughter) throat by saying, “We’re not related.”

So can the moral outrage about Rick and Brooke. I’m sick to death of you Brooke-haters rewriting history and acting as if Ridge is some faultless hero. Besides which, if Brooke left, you’d have no reason to watch this show.

Keep Ridge and Caroline together? Yep, let them wallow in their own slime and sleaze, preferably on the back burner. Let Ridge continue to hump his dead first wife’s niece, who’s young enough to be his daughter. Let Caroline remain ignorant of how Ridge humped her sainted aunt in the marital bed she shared with Ridge’s brother. Let Caroline remain with a sleazeball rapist and serial womanizer like Ridge, who’s humped everything he’s touched since puberty.

“Humped everything since puberty”? You’re too kind, try “Humped everything since he could shave.”

Kudos to Laney and lalogan for setting the record straight. Ridge is pond scum and let him rut with his dead wife’s niece, who has yet to reach her thirtieth birthday. And as for Rick firing a gun, it was just a warning shot.

Exactly. Let us remember for a moment the violence that has been committed by Ridge, his late bitch-mother Stephanie, and the rest of the Forresters (by name if not by blood, as is the case with Ridge), and how they’ve never suffered any punishment for it — Ridge KILLED SOMEONE, set up another man to be framed, and his ugly face never saw the inside of a jail cell — not to mention, Stephanie assaulted and nearly killed many people, as well as set up Brooke to be violently raped. What was that bitch’s “punishment”? She ran her fat ass off to Chicago like the yellowguts, weakling coward she was to “forgive herself.” I think she deserved to be put UNDER the jail, in a pit filled with tarantulas. But that would be cruel to the tarantulas.

So Rick firing a gun is hardly the most violent thing that has ever happened on this rotten, one-sided soap. .

No, it isn’t. And while we are discussing firearms, let’s talk about Stephanie shooting Stephen and saying, “Say hi to Beth for me,” as well as her holding a gun on Brooke to prevent her fromgoing to the police when Ridge dumped that guy’s body and framed Nick for it.

Stephanie has a history of assaulting people, hell, Brooke was her favorite target, but she slapped Jackie and shoved her over the railing and she assaulted Lauren back in the day when it looked like Lauren had designs on eric.

Oh, about Brooke drinking, I may not be happy with this SL, but I prefer her getting out and not sitting around, drinking and feeling sorry for herself.

I want Ridge to save Brooke not the scumbag Deacon.

what happened to hope?

I am glad that KKL is back. She doesn’t plays whatever storyline she is given she Lives it, develops that episode in multidimensional fashion with gusto. Bravo Miss Lang welcome back!

(INTERVIEW) B&B’s Annika Noelle Reveals Her Lead Actress Emmy-Nominated Scenes, and the Ups and Downs of a Tough Year

When the nominees were announced last week for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, six women wound up in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category and that included The Bold and the Beautiful’s Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) who had quite the heavy on-screen story.

For months, Hope initially tried to hold her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton) together, gave into her passion for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and became a stronger more independent woman in the process. Noelle was previously nominated in 2020 in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, but this marks her first-time presence in the highly-coveted Lead Actress race.

On Friday, April 26th, The Bold and the Beautiful celebrated their leading 12 nominations, as well as being the show with the most acting nominations going into the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards set to air live on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

During the on set celebration, when B&B’s Emmy-nominated executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, introduced each of the acting nominees, they took a moment to address their colleagues, and for Annika, her speech was touching and emotional. She expressed, “I’m so grateful to Brad Bell for believing in this dark brunette, and allowing me to be a part of this family. And when we say that we’re a family, it’s not just because we get along. It is really because we are here for the majority of the year with each other. I know for a lot of people, 2023, was a difficult year.  The thing about this beautiful show is that it was my constant, and it’s what I could depend on during a tough year. And there are beautiful days like this when you come in and everything in your life is going amazingly. And then, there are days where your world is falling apart. And the crew, honestly, you guys kept me afloat this year and that’s why this is so meaningful to me.”

Annika added, “I don’t think I could have gotten through this year without the love and support from this family. So, thank you for being there for me on days that I needed the strength and you gave that to me. I’m so grateful to my co-stars and who I get to share these beautiful scenes with. I just wanted to say, I appreciate all of you and thank you so much. You all mean more to me than you will ever know.”

Michael Fairman TV caught up with Annika immediately following the Emmy nominee celebration, to her thoughts on this momentous occasion in her professional life and what it means to her personally, plus what did she choose for her scenes when Hope had such, shall we say, a torrid year of story to choose from. Here’s what she shared below.

Dare I say, I called this nomination for you? Back on New Year’s Eve, I revealed My “Best Of” Picks for 2023 and I had you as the Best Overall Performance by an Actress for the year, and alongside your fellow nominee, Cynthia Watros (Nina, GH), to boot!

ANNIKA: Thank you for believing in me that I could do it.

How did you to tackle your Emmy-nominated reel and what you were hoping to showcase?

ANNIKA: I was just so grateful to have the story to be able to pick from, and to really try to show the character growth and the arc of everything that happened to Hope Logan in the past year. For me, I really wanted to take the voters on a journey from her really being heavily influence by everyone’s opinions and everyone else’s voices, to her really coming into her own and going, “I don’t care if it’s the right or wrong choice, it’s my choice.”

Photo: JPI

What scenes did you end up submitting the landed you this Lead Actress Emmy nomination?

ANNIKA: I started with this great scene that our producers, Casey Kaspryzk and Rachel Herman actually remembered, where Hope walks in on her mother in her lingerie flirting with Ridge. And they remembered that scene. So, that really launched us off to Hope being kind of in this deep denial of, “I’m nothing like you. I’m not going to follow in your footsteps. I don’t have feelings for Thomas.” Cut to Liam confronting her about watching her give into her desires in Rome. And him saying, “Where were you Hope? At the Colosseum?” and then kind of in a roundabout full circle way, Brooke finding Thomas and Hope in bed together and then Hope really kind of going toe to toe with her mother. Then, ending with her kind of fully coming into her own as a woman and saying, “You wanted a divorce, Liam, here’s your divorce.” I really wanted to show the journey of her finding her own voice and advocating for her own choices and finding that inner strength, basically.

Was choosing the reel difficult given you had so much material within the 2023 calendar year of eligibility to consider?

ANNIKA: It was hard to pick and choose. There were a few I ended up leaving out. There was a really beautiful scene with Thomas where she realizes he overheard her kind of talking ill of him. That one was really hard to let go of.  I was also considering another scene with Liam where they actually signed the divorce papers. I’m just so grateful to even be able to have the material to choose from.

How did you find out you were nominated?

ANNIKA: Eva Basler, our VP of Communications & Talent Relations, called me and it meant so much to me to get that call from her. I tend to get nervous and have anxiety, so that day I just had to not think about it. So, I was out on a walk with my love, and my dog. We’re just in the middle of a cul-de-sac and my phone starts ringing. And it was the best surprise ever! Then, when I found out that Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, B&B) got nominated alongside me, I immediately FaceTimed her. It was the funniest thing because she literally picks up and she is wearing a sun visor and sunglasses wrapped up on top of a horse as she’s in the middle of a mountain and in a valley on this beautiful white horse. It was the most picturesque thing.

I believe you know some of the women you are nominated with, obviously Katherine, but also Tamara Braun (Ava, Days), Finola Hughes, (Anna, GH), Cynthia Watros (Nina, GH) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R). What are your thoughts on these nominees?

ANNIKA: Well first, I’m just so excited to be in this category with the other women. Tamara Braun, who I was nominated with previously in the Supporting Actress category I’m excited that she’s in this category with me. Michelle Stafford, who I see in the hallway all the time, is great, and Finola Hughes, I’m just like obsessed with from afar. I even watched her on Watch What Happens Live!  Cynthia, I hear her work is tremendous, and with Katherine, I’m just really grateful to get to share this with her. To be honored amongst these legends of daytime is amazing. Just to be seen in that way, that means more to me than anything.

You mentioned during B&B’s on-set Emmy celebration that this past year was a difficult one for you, and that everyone at the show really helped you through it. What meaning would winning the Emmy hold for you?

ANNIKA: That would be overwhelming. I wouldn’t even know how to describe it – an honor, a privilege, a blessing? It would mean the world to me, especially after this past year. That’s why it’s so significant, because even on the darkest days, the storms passes. You just have to hold on for that brighter day.
