While, Lulu has been in peril following her attack by Ryan (Jon Lindstrom), her portrayer Emme Rylan, revealed some good news via her Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.

Rylan is staying put in Port Charles and renewed her contract with General Hospital.  In her post, you can check it out below, Emme expressed: “Renewed my contract! So happy to continue living Lulu’s life! And ya know… #GH makeup got me feeling all cute so there’s that too. 😘 #ilovemyjob”

The actress took over the role of Lulu Spencer Falconeri in 2013 following the departure of Julie Berman in the key role of Luke and Laura’s daughter.

At present, Lulu’s husband, Dante (last played by Dominic Zamprogna) is off the canvas working undercover.

So, glad to now that Emme will continue on as Lulu on the ABC daytime drama series?  Comment below.

Very glad to know she’s staying. However, the timing of the announcement certain helped put a kibosh on any threat of Ryan further harming Lulu.

The fact Lulu survived the attack and is being hypnotized by “Kevin” kind of already put the kibosh on that.

Yeah, I agree. It just snipped any dangling thread of suspense for me. That’s all.

the thing that riles me. putting the kibosh – is having FRANCO being framed. isn’t he already involved in two other stories … ie: is Aiden Gayden? OK this is part of, but, the death of Kiki. you know.. it just STINKS … this has seriously nosedived

WE HAVE YET TO SEE Kristina Wagner ‘ Felicia AND Big Mac

why couldn’t the lazy asses Shelly and Chris weaved these two in to the story ? showed something… let’s prop another dullard and another pet.
let’s see Franco bake cookies
lets see Franco ice skate
let’s see Franco relive his life in therapy
lets see Franco face ticks
lets see Franco for 7 years to no avail

let’s see if any one truly cares about Roger Howarth’ character

here’s hoping Kevin gets some chutzpah and escapes and has to bring Ryan down. because this twist of Frank Valentini pet is lame…

SPIRAL

Good point, Rodd. And Patrick? Frank goes out of his way to exclude characters like Felicia and Mac, who are (or should be) directly affiliated with Ryan’s comeback story. Ryan, who had absolutely nothing to do with Ava, Sonny, Carly and Franco is suddenly orbiting around them. And speaking of orbiting, Ryan has always been about orbiting around his muse, his sun, Felicia. And now it’s like “Felicia who?” Frank throws the vets and the fans of those vets crumbs like having frantic Lucy read from her book,”Takes from Port Charles” which nods ever so slightly to the direction of Felicia and Mac. It’s a transparent and pathetic ploy to appease viewers like you and me.
PS. Speaking of Felicia, Kristen Wagner is still a golden goddess! She is absolutely gorgeous.

Pin-pointing Franco as the person committing the murders is sickening to me. Don’t redeem a character and then continually write them back into where they were previously written out from.

What a succinct, brief, yet absolutely on point post!!! I couldnt have summed it up better myself in a long winded post! The Serial Killer population is way out of hand on GH!! And Ava has slept with FOUR…count ’em FOUR serial killers! Franco, Paul, Sonny, and Ryan. Its disturbing and its not entertainment. For too long, actors on soaps have had to overcome and compensate for bad, dreadful writing! I am impressed with the umbrella aspect of this story, how it weaves in everyone…from veterans to newbies. But they are missing a lot of beats and the pacing of the story is clunky and inconsistent. Felicia and Mac should be playing a much bigger part! And this is a show with a very bloated cast that could use a lot of fat trimmed! And…ALL media…not just soaps… Have to adapt to the real world. We live in a police state with surveillance EVERYWHERE! Even grocery stores have state of the art cameras on the inside and outside of their buildings. No one could be dismembering bodies in broad daylight…transporting them all over town…placing them in places like art galleries and restaurants and NOT being caught on camera somewhere. Soaps have to quit trying to write high crime and murder stories that completely defy logic and credibility. Soaps have to look to shows like This Is Us. That show is more soap than the soaps! It deals with real human emotion and when written correctly, that is enough to compel viewers to keep tuning in. There is very little suspense because we know who is going to die and who isnt! Lulu’s attack was startling…but the show is not about to kill off Luke and Laura’s legacy golden girl! I think for this story to have maximum impact, they need to kill off one more unexpected character. Maybe Jordan. Maybe Griffin. In my fantasy world, Ryan would off Sonny and Carly in a double play, but I know thats not going to happen. I know when GH goes off the air, Sonny and Jason and Carly will ride off on the wings of angels..

Well, said, Jovin. I agree with your every point.

Yup!!!!! You said it!!
By the by, as I said to Shay on the other site…….Has the dubious Port Charles’ PD checked the licenses for prints? Ryan is getting sloppy from desperation….that little detail will do him in.

They showed Ryan wiping them off, however, in doing that, he continued to touch them.

Yay!!!

The Ryan story is a disaster…No Felicia involvement when she was the main focus in the original story..Stories of.Ryans death and 20th anniversary of his murders is everywhere including the current copycat…however, no one at the mental facility questions Kevin and his lookalike patient as possible Ryan who isnt really dead!!!!”do they think he was a triplet …no security cameras at the place Lulu was stabbed…cops supposed to be at the hospital but none are guarding her hospital room…how they suppose to look for a killer in other areas of the hospital…wouldnt it be better to be watching Lulu’s room knowing the killer might be around to finish her off!!!…no one figures that Kevin/Ryan is the only person who had ties to all his victims…super commish Jordan at every crime-guess they dont need cops to do any crime investigation with Wonder Woman doing it all in Port Run Amok Chuck!!!!

Lulu’s room to isolated and why have her name at the door…killer needs to know where she is???

Well, good for her, but I wish Julie would return. She’ll always be MY Lulu

I was hoping Julie Bergman would return. Emme Rylan’s portrayal just doesn’t have that Spencer quality Berman brought to the role. Ask your self does Emme seem like Luke Spencer’s daughter? I think not.

Julie was a good actress but very overrated in my opinion. Emme has prpven herself on THREE soaps to be a fantastic recast! Each time she has played a legacy character and made it her own. Lizzie Spaulding on GL, Abby Newman on Y and R, and Lulu Spencer. I think she is underrated!

Emme is definitely underrated and overlooked in terms of her portrayals. Yes, Julie was quite nice as Lulu, however, Emme has added so much dimension and opportunity for the character of Lulu that I honestly feel Julie wouldn’t have been able to achieve.

The storyline is getting stahl with making Franco the scapegoat. Come on get on with this storyline and Mac and Felicia should be in on this portion.
Quit killing off(Oscar) Quartermaine line

I still miss Jule berman, to me she was the same as Jonathan jacksons lucky, but I still love Lesley Lu
