General Hospital EP Frank Valentini Teases After Shots Are Fired, “A Whole Family’s Lives Will Be Completely Changed and Thrown Off Track”
On Friday, the final moments of General Hospital’s cliffhanger featured gun shots being fired at the Metro Court’s 4th of July party by the pool. Coming on to the scene was Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) who looked up and told everyone to get down.
Present at the Metro Court pool were various Port Charles residents those include, Portia (Brook Kerr), Jordan (Tanisha Harper), Zeke (Gavin Houston) and the arriving Curtis. In addition, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Anna (Finola Hughes) were chatting and both have good reason to believe they could be intended targets.
GH’s executive producer, Frank Valeninti spoke to Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstand now and previewed what’s to come next week on the ABC daytime drama series.

Valentini teased; “Many lives could be in danger because it’s the 4th of July party, so there are a lot of people there. Dante is there, Zeke is there, there’s a whole slew of Port Charles residents there.”

So the question becomes who will be shot and can they be saved in the nick of time? With Curtis just being revealed as Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father, might he be in the one in peril and in need of blood transfusion or an organ match or something that would prove that Trina is not his daughter, but the DNA test results were switched by Selina Wu (Lydia Look) in Curtis’ favor, as some have believed? Could Jordan get shot putting to the test how Curtis feels about his ex? Will Dante go down for the count?

Does anyone else find it grotesque that GH continues to use gun violence as a plot device, without a hint of irony or admonishment, in a country terrorized by gun violence?
Definitely. The violence on GH is the reason I usually just read about what’s happening instead of watching the show.

Let’s look at it this way—let’s get rid of the bad guys: Sonny, Dex, Anna,( she may be a good guy, but her persona suggests violence) Wu and all other Cosa Nostra members and/or other crime orgs. —-violence would not accelerate. People kill people, not guns. Get rid of the people and we are rid of guns. let’s not be so lenient with criminals. GH ignores the fact that Sonny is a murderer; and he is propped as a good guy.

Celia…People may kill people, especially the more unstable ones we are hearing about. But guns, ammo, and easy access to them make it way easier. They have no redeeming quality. They were only invented to kill no matter who is using them and why. :)))

It is not a hospital show. It is a soap opera centered around people who are connected to the hospital. There is a huge difference.

What do you expect from a show that insists on making an organized crime lord the “hero” of the show, where even the city mayor has drinks with him in public. The show is completely out of touch with the mood of the country in regard to crime, corruption, guns and violence.
Would everyone just get over GH violence. Have you seen video games and movies out now! GH is nothing like the gun violence in our nation. It’s a show. People know soaps aren’t real. If some men and women want to watch GH as entertainment, that’s their business. The mob in GH never kills anyone. Don’t watch if you don’t like it, but if teenagers and other people can watch movies about demons and evil possession, I can watch a simple soap 5 days a week as an adult. I have never shot anyone and I have been watching soaps for 50 years.
I agree. I have watched GH for decades and not once did I feel the need for cold steel in my hands. It is a break from reality for a few minutes a day.
Exactly for 1 hour a day 5 days a week we get away from our reality my mom was a cop she never even shot her gun in the whole 30 years she was on the police force and she watched general hospital faithfully.
I agree. Stop whining and watch something else . And btw, the political class doesn’t want to deal with REAL gun violence, that’s a major reason we have so many mass shootings. They know the citizens love their guns; many also belong to, believe in the NRA. Don’t really want to get into that issue. Bottom line is, if all you want to see are a bunch of nurses and doctors running around (we do get a fair share of that when they patch up the complained about gunshot wounds), go watch Hallmark. I suggest you also might want to register a real complaint with your elected officials .
alic…Good suggestion to go to Hallmark. I went there on my own Saturday. They are starting their “Christmas In July” programs with some new ones and oldies but goodies. And no guns, rape, killing cats, crazies both suspects and select politicians, hanging from meat hooks, violence, etc, as seem on both GH, Y&R, and cable news. I can even have my family of all ages join me for a show where you smile, that ends right. They are sure doing better than soap “dramas”. And I’ll bet their ratings are doing okay as well. :)))

I truly can’t believe you think Nina is evil. How is it that you don’t see that everything she’s done from Nixon Falls on, has been provoked by Carly and what she and others have done to, or the horrific way they’ve behaved toward, Nina?
Carly’s the incarnation of evil disguised in PTA dresses, her hateful words and lies spewed like daggers in between obnoxious giggles, but somehow you think “Nina” is evil?
I don’t think Carly or Nina are evil. Emotionally dumb as dirt, but not evil.
Nina has been denied things she deserved in life, and by her own greedy, hateful evil mother no less.
So she definitely has some well deserved emotional scars that she did not deal with properly. They have shrinks for that.
But Carly didn’t set out to hurt Nina, Jax was trying to protect Nina’s frail emotional state by keeping Nell’s identity a secret after she went off the cliff, all the while keeping the mother of his children out of prison.
Nina is the one that’s been out for blood ever since.
That’s not accurate. Jax was trying to keep Carly out of jail because he was afraid the cops wouldn’t believe her, so he told Carly to not say anything about her fight with Nelle before she fell. But it was CARLY who realized that Nelle had been Nina’s daughter, and to save her own butt she convinced Jax to not tell Nina that Nelle had been her daughter, with the rationalization that it wouldn’t bring her happiness to find out Nelle had been their daughter (which still wasn’t Carly’s call to make).
Jax didn’t want to go along with it; he’d just come back from a meal with Nina encouraging her to not give up her search for her daughter and felt it was wrong to keep it from her, but Carly convinced him. Now, even IF someone wants to give Carly the benefit of the doubt in that scenario (I don’t; Carly is not that altruistic (unselfish), she knew that if they didn’t tell Nina that Nelle had been her daughter, Nina would go the rest of her life never knowing that Wiley is her grandson. Once Nina found out what they’d both withheld from her, she was livid, and JAX apologized over and over again, telling her he’d never thought of the Wiley connection (it seems he was sincere about that) and asked for forgiveness. Carly? Naaa; she became vicious, defensive, and doubled-down, telling Nina that she’d make sure she was never a part of Wiley’s life…which she ranted again on the phone when Nina called to tell her that Sonny was alive.
Nina wasn’t in any “fragile” emotional state; she’s never been in one since we met her almost ten years ago when she first came out of that coma and had an understandable break from reality. Some of you have a completely screwed up view of Nina. She’s actually one of the strongest women on the show; she’s survived a 20-year coma, the kidnapping of both of her children, learning she couldn’t have more kids BECAUSE of that coma, heartbreak, betrayal by Sasha, and then learning that Nelle had been her child…and STILL she learned how to run a magazine, made it a complete success and now is successful as co-owner of the MetroCourt, as well. So this “fragile” Nina thing is BS; nothing fragile about her…
“Out for blood?” LOL! CARLY did’t tell her that Nelle had been her daughter, she didn’t tell her that Wiley is her grandson, she took Nina’s DNA behind her back and ran a test on her and her daughter and spent the last year lying to everyone’s face to keep Nina from finding out about yet another of her children! She was NEVER going to let Nina know that Willow is her daughter, that Amelia is her grandchild, all the while playing mommy to Willow! But you think Nina’s “out for blood?” LOL! WHY wouldn’t she want Carly out of her life, out of Willow’s life; the woman stuck herself in between Nina and HER child, and was already playing mom to her daughter (just as Carly’s done with Ava’s daughter)
Smh; how anyone can think Nina’s the one who’s wrong here is mind-boggling. If I was in Nina’s position and this was real life I’d have picked up that phone and called in that tip and bragged about it to the whole town. Nina is completely in the right to want Carly to pay for everything she tried to keep from her; I think she used great restraint to not rip Carly’s hair out as soon as she found out that Carly tried to keep Willow a secret from her for life…again! Carly trying to keep the knowledge of who Nelle had been to her, trying to keep her ever finding out about Wiley, is what started everything, and Carly being Carly did her hideous wrong yet again; and never paid. Can’t stand her or the writing for this story; like anyone’s supposed to care about poor Carly’s financial woes, lol.
Being the Devil, I know a thing or two about “evil”. Indeed I get blamed for most of it, usually by mortals who misunderstand my actual purpose in this world.
But as far as Nina goes….
Is it not “evil” to allow an entire family to grieve for their husband and father for nearly a year, when you know full well he’s alive?
Is it not more evil than that, to steal them away from him yet again, even after he gets his memory back, and returns home?
One could argue that it’s evil to rat somebody out to the SEC. After destroying their family. Especially when the person you ratted out didn’t make a dime, but lost her own business… and we all know who she lost it to.
And most recently… is it not 666% completely evil to gloat over yet another man’s brain injury & amnesia, causing yet another family to suffer, including a young child with autism, who can’t begin to comprehend why his father is rejecting him. All because he knows what you did.
If these things aren’t evil, then I probably have a lot of folks down here in Hell who should be up for parole for doing far less.

I agree, Phil. I’d also add that the show has too much violence in general. Dex being hung up on a meat hook and beaten with threat of torture; Sonny having Franco and Julian beaten viciously in years past; and sadistic Helena purring “More, more!” when Jason was getting pounded by one of her goons; Spencer getting worked over two months ago… Too much! If I want that to watch that ugliness, I’ll watch more cable shows.

I’m upset the all the favorite people are being wrote out. I have watched GH since it started. I know they need to have changes but not changes like are being changed now.
No; because it’s not about random lunatics who have ar15s, but rather mobsters on a soap which GH has always had. I’d much rather have those stories than the non-stop fatal illness stories like the one they’ve given Gregory on the heels on Britt’s Hungtingtons. It’s completely depressing and takes away all the joy of seeing a character like Gregory as a potential love interest for Alexis (or Tracy if she was staying) and sucks the joy out of seeing those adorable family scenes with Finn, Chase and Violet. I hate it; they bring in a charming, intelligent, older man and that’s what they decide to do? Give him an incurable, devastating illness?

It’s a soap opera that most of us watch to forget about life and just relax. It’s had the mob on it for many, many years and absolutely nothing is different. I’ve been watching for about 35 years and the only thing I can see different is the amount of incurable diseases. Give them a disease that they get treatment for at GH and not stretch it out for a year. Give them something like diabetes or heart disease and teach the public about it instead of all these diseases that you never hear about because they are so rare. When Bobbie was diagnosed with Diabetes it was basically a small blurb. People need to know what millions of Americans go through daily with our diabetes. And people need to know the difference between type 1 and type 2. That’s just one example of what the show could be doing and showing in General Hospital.

What worries me is the fact that too many popular characters are eliminated and replaced 1,2,3. So GH is not GH anymore, the writers they need to be mindful or the show will loose lots of viewers. I the numbers of viewers went down a little???

I don’t think the violence on GH is that bad. You can watch shows on the major networks that have way more violence. GH is a soap, it has all the romance, danger and violence that you would expect from a soap. I haven’t watched the show from the very beginning I was too young back then, but I always thought the show was supposed to be about a hospital and it’s doctors and nurses.

Love Nina; one of the most interesting characters on GH and one of the strongest women; she survived over 20 years in a coma, one betrayal after another, a breakdown, her kids taken from her, and Carly’s big, hypocritical mouth and despicable actions. I’m hoping for a GH miracle; that the writers are injected with an antidote to the kiss-Carly’s-arse venom they’ve been poisoned with and make the B actually pay for what she does, and let Ned, when he eventually recovers, choose not to tell anyone that Nina was the anonymous tip. She deserves the win and to FINALLY have the love of her child and their stolen mother/daughter relationship, in her life.

As a longtime GH viewer this is a question I never thought we would finally be asked. Curses to writers who made Sonny a central figure. And brought in guns, whether it’s in Ava’s purse or implied with Sonny’s profession. Certainly the end of the “love in the afternoon” unique soap genre.
Please be for real. There was more gun violence on the show between 1999 and 2000 on GH then then there has been in the last three years. As a long time viewer this period of violence on the show is nothing and really it is just a show. Get over it.

It’s not like Gray’s Anatomy doesn’t have it’s share of violence either. They have had bombings, shootings, poor George getting flattened by a bus… all kinds of things.
I saw Frank Valentini’s name near “fired” in the headline, if only that was true. He’s destroyed this show and made it borderline unwatchable, plus never owns up to it and is never asked any tough questions.
Long overdue for this guy to go and for ABC to actually show some accountability. How about a showrunner with an actual fresh vision who’s in touch with the mood of the modern world in 2023?
Without Frank, GH would’ve went off the air in 2012 or 2013. He’s brought the show in under budget while maintaining good production values and bringing back veteran characters. Maybe it’s time for someone new or maybe a switch in writers.
Is the gun violence too much? Probably, but mob influence has been a part of this show since Frank Smith was introduced mover 40 years ago.

And we still don’t know what the fallout is going to be for him making a deal to allow a shipment of guns/ammo to go through his territory for money. But guns in a public area with a swimming pool and possibly kids. It’s no better than what I hear happening daily on the news. The one common problem is guns which I hate. Why oh why infect GH with it. There were so many other fun, family schnanegans (sp?), romantic, day-time stories when I started watching GH. It just seems to get worse. And for those who like this kind of “drama” just watch the news or night time crap. for your adrenaline fix. I know I won’t be watching GH on Monday, etc after seeing last weeks finale.

I love this drama. Maybe at 90+ I’m able to separate the real from the “Reel”. I personally love watching CSI, FBI, Chicago PD, and all the cop shows. I also know the difference in what I’m watching and nothing on those shows moves me to tears like the Daily News, which in reality is what are lives have become, so sad. I can’t remember turning on the news and have them say, ” Oh, we’ve got some great news for you today” The Soaps have always helped me forget about what’s going on, not just in the world at large, but my own personal world, losing a daughter, fighting cancer, dealing with all the crap my age alone brings. So rather than being upset by the violence of the Soaps, it really helps.
Violet…At least the shows you mention I have to assume good wins in the end. The only cop type show I watched was NCIS until Gibbs and Ziva left. Yet I like Kill Bill. Go figure. And we all have our personal stories. On a much sadder note for me, my son passed away three months ago. His Ceremony Of Life was two weeks ago. His life was good and so was his health. One of those instant anyourisns (sp?) in the middle of the night. Maybe that’s why I like/need some of Hallmark right now to get away from real life. And certainly not the extreme “drama” of GH and Y&R lately. :)))

I’m not good at this, just know my heart aches for you. I lost my daughter to lung Cancer, would/could not give up those killer cigarettes.. Her daughter to this day says she committed suicide..At least we had about two years to deal with it but you lost your son with no warning as did my friend who lost her son a few months ago, almost as you explained but he was awake just said he wasn’t feeling well and was gone before he got to the hospital.
Yes, most of my shows end up with the good guys winning, I loved NCIS, but kind of stopped watching when Gibbs left, don’t care for this Gary Cole too much .I’ve started watching this detective show, Will Trent whose companion is a Chihuahua, cutest thing, the dog too,ha,ha. You just keep watching what helps your peace of mind, we can’t all like the same things and shouldn’t be so critical of others choices. We never know what others are going through.and apologize for being so insensitive.

What I have noticed in relation to the sad stories you told me and my son’s passing is how much more I am empathetic to all of those who have lost someone whether in a news story, other commenters, or our own family members or personal friends and acquaintances. Frank needs to pull what ever wack he has in his head out ,he and the writer’s he has are during GH horribly .From The pagan Queen Carly,self righteous on the screen that does horrible wrong things gets passes and not even any good acting skills.. Demoralizing Nina character which is pitiful shameful and repulsive and continues doing the same with other characters..I just don’t know anymore and think it’s on its way out unless some good changes come quick,like the writer’s we had were phonomial and you didn’t want to miss one second of it,,they are so needed back…Please have the real writer’s come quickly ,we miss you and so want you home with GH.,.

When it come to Nina vs Carly. There is no comparison. Cary has made mistakes and she will be the first one to say it. But Nina only admits her mistakes after she’s called out on it and then she blames everyone else for her choices. She never truly takes responsibility for what she’s done but expects everyone to believe she’s sorry when she is still lying. Give me a break this poor Nina crap. If she really wants things to change then she needs to chance. Just like Carly did. Nina a grown woman still acting like a child. At list when Carly was running around doing all the stupid stuff you list she was young and didn’t know better. What’s Nina’s excuse? She doesn’t have one and you know it.
It’s impossible to “demoralize” Nina. She never had morals to begin with.
Please don’t do that story line with Curtis and Trina.Keep them together..That’s a positive story line and I feel if you go with that story line use Coty so Mack will know the truth that Coty is his son or just shoot Scott……
All these critics on this thread talking about specific violence on certain episodes only says that they are watching the show. Be real people you all sound like you all are fans of GH. GH violence is the creator and its writers way of keeping its viewers tuned, along with the gossip and hatred, jealousy, animosity, and affairs, it’s not to promote guns.

You can bet your soul that Jason will return. The sooner the better, obviously, because GH has been in a total toilet spiral without him.
His Days character – ironically enough – seems to be a hybrid of Jason & Drew…. He wears t-shirts, but has a past career as a Navy Seal, and (like the post brain-mapping Drew) has a history of being brainwashed to shoot people. My old friend Marlena apparently cured him of this condition, but Jason… er.. Harris is demanding to be locked up in a mental hospital because he doesn’t trust himself.
The mental hospital is not a common location for Days scenes, so I suspect his time in Salem may be coming to an end. Also, it seems that Wally Kurth – who of course works on both Days and GH – has been dropping hints in “social media” lately that Steve Burton will be returning to GH soon.
And Ned could benefit from Jason’s return right now himself. Who would be better qualified than to help him figure out his brain injuries?
I believe this is how Bobbi will be written out the show. Bobbi will be shot and killed. Glady was probably the target for not paying back Wu the money. Heard Kevin wants to leave. Could be a massacre, unless Jason back see Wu is about to shot Sonny. Then a really big party will happen on screen and off. The keep playing with are beloved character, we will stop watching or stop shopping.

Common sense. People are leaving in droves. That is why the ratings are in the toilet. It barely hits 2,000,000 viewers. It is the lowest rated soap, and the numbers are steadily sinking. I doubt if the show lasts a year. So for those who are addicted to this mess, perhaps you can try rehab!
Even with 2 million viewers, the show reaches a larger audience than a lot of primetime shows. As long as Frank keeps the budget in tow, it’s relatively safe.

People are leaving this show . The writers are making big mistakes . People don’t have time for all the mess they play favoritism with actors . Carly never gets what she deserves. But everybody should hate Nina just kill her off . NO one believes in forgiveness the writers have turned Micheal and Willow into nasty haters. Time is up for this soap . You can have it I’m out .
Of course this show continues to use gun play as a crutch. Every character should’ve been riddled with bullet holes by now. Reflecting upon what that means in modern America isn’t “political,” it’s common sense. But there’s neither the guts nor ability to add that awareness into the show, and the fans aren’t helping. The pandemic should have been a gift to a show named GENERAL HOSPITAL, to work that crisis into the plot somehow; that was massively fumbled too. Amazingly, that’s seen as too political, but the violence isn’t too violent!
Gun violence isn’t television soaps fault so stop blaming them for life blame the people who are talking our love ones life’s our friends and neighbors if you see someone doing or acting different not themselves take care of you and your family and friends by letting them know.
There use to be a show called The Doctor’s. You could always watch reruns of that. Just doctos and nurses.
Action is entertaining. Medical jargon is boring. GH needs the mob back for drama and danger. Ratings go up when there is a shootout and explosion. There has been none of it for a long time cause of you all making a political issue out of everything. Nobody wants to watch Boring Finn and Boring Portia talk about medicine. Bring back Jason and Cyrus with Sonny, Wu, and a returning Alcazar for a mob war.
Maybe Alcazar is already back? There are only two guys who ever thought they could move weapons through Sonny’s territory. One was Alcazar. The other was that Russian guy (can’t even remember his name) who tried to move in during the period where Sonny was attempting to do “just coffee” for legal reasons, while Jason ran the “other” business. And the Russian guy is now down here in Hell, after his unsuccessful attempt to fit Sonny with a literal pair of cement shoes.
On the other horn, Alcazar is alive & well… last known to be somewhere in South America. And I’m thinking he’s the one behind this so-called “Pikeman” group. And probably the one who hired these shooters who took random shots at Sonny… first at his warehouse, and now at the Metro Court pool.
Thank goodness they didn’t work the pandemic into story. As others mentioned, the show is an escape from everyday troubles. If they worked the pandemic into story, every hospital scene would have actors in masks and in the early days, too many days.
Gh is a greart show covers all stores about mental health issues.and couple relationships the ups and downs in friendships yes and crime.all these things are happening in or world.so why if you dont like whats happening on gh then try and help your community to be better and learn from these great actors and story lines.theres not as much violance on gh as there used to be a lot of other shows have lots more violance on them so if don’t like violance its your choice to stop watching

Not sure what soap you all have been watching all these years, but the mob life on GH has been there since 1979 – 44 years!!! It’s not going anywhere. It is the main reason I watch the show. IT IS FANTASY! If you don’t want to see the violence, don’t watch it. ♀️ Real life is full of violence. Always has been. You just hear about it more because of the modes of communication available.

Just 4th of July fireworks!
I am quite surprised at the vociferous defense put up by GH fans of the incessant mob/Sonny storylines. It was for that reason alone that, almost 20 years ago, I gave up my decades-long allegiance to this show. Yet I will tune in for the occasional special episode. On more than one occasion — 😉 —, I have been critical here of the character of Sonny and mob storylines. I just feel that placing a mob boss/murderer/abuser as the star character of this show is misguided, dark, and morally bankrupt. And I’ve seen so many great characters given the boot or put far away on back burner to make room for this emphasis and so many storylines written simply to prop up said character.
Bottom line for me: from what I’ve read here, there is still too much violence on this show. I echo the sentiments of those who have a preference for an emphasis on hospital staff. There is a wealth of material to be mined on that population alone, as there was in the days before the Sonny takeover.
Very disappointed with GH producers letting go of Jason and Jax ( two of the best cast members through the years) and inserting actors like Nina (who is so uninteresting). Jax is never mentioned even when Jossalyn iz exposed in a sex video !nd threatened by the “Hook”. Austin and ‘Cuz’ saga is ridiculous. Free Drew and expose Nina. Gladys needs to be exposed and leave the show.
They did not let them go; they let themselves go with the decisions they made. Easy at that. Plus, on the flip side, them firing themselves allowed us to receive Kristina Wagner in a full-time capacity, which is more enjoyable.
Your little hospital centric show was on life support in the 70’s cause it was boring until they brought the mob action in the 80’s to turn it entertaining. Sonny brings drama and danger to the show that Finn never will with his dullness. GH will never survive listening to you Hallmark Channel fans that want a show full of Average Joe’s. Sonny’s return to Port Charles in Sept 21 was a huge ratings week. He is the star. Get over your politically correctness.
Defensive much? It is *not* about being “politically correct”. It is about how saturated the canvas has been with Sonny Corinthos (the non-mob boss) and the violence, when there is so much more cast to explore, and should be explored.

Anytime the hospital is at the center, or even those “classic” characters are shown, I am super-duper happy. A lot mention Sp*nc*r and Tr*na for the Iceland storyline, but the standouts for me? Anna Devane and Laura Collins, a.k.a. the driving forces! Plus, including Felicia? Amazing. Plus, Jane Elliot’s return has infused so much into the Quartermaine family that has been desperately missing. Best of care to you, James!

Yes too much gun violence on GH. Why did GH spend so much time on the storyline on Nina and her daughter only to come up with another storyline that is going to forever ruin their relationship once everyone finds out that Nina turned in Carly and Drew. So predictable and so annoying. Why can’t they finally find happiness.
I thought the shooter was the bodyguard gabe
I was a little suspicious of that guy too, since we have never seen him before and he just came out of nowhere. But he was packing a handgun, and the shooter was using an assault rifle, and Dante definitely saw the rifle barrel coming from a hotel balcony.
And of course they found the gun when they got to the room…. but that supposed SWAT officer who was leaving the room just as Dante & Chase got there…. something didn’t look right about that guy to me. I’m thinking he’s the shooter.
It’s so mind boggling that I see posts of dislike of GH’s plots involving guns and mobsters. Yet it is still a part of their routine to watch. It is no real like the other person explained. I always tell people “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.” Don’t let it take up space in your head. Besides Soap Operas are intended to entertain, not to be politically correct. How boring would that be to watch?
I feel that the show has way too many characters. There are many I would like to see go at this point.
General Hospital’s main problems are too many storylines and, they drag out them out soooo long that we lose interest !!!

So who are they really after, Sonny or Anna whose always into someone’s business. She should hire herself out as a private detective and stay out of the International stuff which gets her into trouble.
Dante seems convinced that the assault rifle used in the shooting was a WSB issue, since there were no serial numbers anywhere on the weapon.
It’s not likely that the WSB would target Sonny, but there could be elements within the agency who consider Anna a serious “liability” now that the details of her troubled past as a “double agent” have become public knowledge.
Obviously the WSB knew about Anna’s history all along, but it was always “classified” information, as far as the general public’s knowledge. Some hardliners in the WSB might think it looks bad for them that they allowed a “traitor” to live all these decades later, let alone stay on the agency’s payroll until just recently.
On the other horn, we know from what Val the Bastard previously told Sonny about this “Pikeman” mercenary thug group that they would be the type who would imitate the tactics of “intelligence” operations because they’re a mostly “unknown” organization, and want to stay that way.
There are dark elements in the WSB, of course. Victor Cassadine himself was the head of the agency for a while. More recently there was some sort of internal “coup” at agency headquarters that threw our long lost friend Frisco Jones out of the top job, and very little details about who replaced him, mostly because they wouldn’t give any information to Robert Scorpio – the man who practically built the agency by himself.
So in other words…. who in Hell name really knows what the deal is here? My money is still on Lorenzo Alcazar being “Pikeman” and Faith Roscoe (who seems to be AWOL from Hell) being the female boss that Austin’s skinhead cousin is taking orders from. This could always turn into another “Legion of Doom” storyline with Cyrus the Virus and maybe even Selina Wu mixed up in the conspiracy somehow.

Jack Wagner Recalls Dilemma During Time on General Hospital: “It Was So Hard for Me Being in the Music Business and Coming from a Soap to be Taken Legitimately as a Singing Artist.”
Soap fans first met Jack Wagner back in 1984 when he joined General Hospital as Frisco Jones. While they loved Frisco and Felicia’s (Kristina Wagner) on-screen romance, one might recall that when Frisco first came to town he was the lead singer of Blackie’s (John Stamos) band, Blackie and the Riff Raff.
During his early days on GH, Wagner was also working on his rising musical career, which put him at a serious crossroads. Things got even more challening, when Jack became a pop star after the release of his 1985 single, “All I Need” which hit the Top 10. The character of Frisco actually sang the song on GH, before it went on to become a mega-hit.
While Wagner appeared on GH through 1995, and again reprised the part for several episodes back in 2013, fans do this day miss him and hope one day he might return.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner admitted his inner conflict with being a soap star, while trying to have a successful musical career. Jack reflected, “I used to battle it, because it was so hard for me being in the music business and coming from a soap to be taken legitimately as a singing artist. It took time to let go of that, but now I embrace it. If I can make someone’s day by going down memory lane, it makes my day.”

In his early musical days, Wagner releases six albums, and his role on GH didn’t hurt the frenzy surrounding seeing him live. “I would sell concerts out in an hour or two,” Jack admitted.
Looking back at the GH hey day, in which he was a part of, Wagner added, “It really was incredible how popular the show was in the ’80s. It was crazy, because back then, people would join fan clubs, and there would be bags and bags of fan letters. I took it in stride, because it was just sort of the things (that) happened to Tony Geary (ex-Luke), Rick Springfield (ex-Noah) and John Stamos, who were ‘teen idols,’ I guess you would call us, back then.”

Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain Announce They Have Ended Their Marriage
After much speculation, General Hospital’s Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) and Cady McClain (ex-Jennifer, DAYS, ex-Rosanna, ATWT, ex-Dixie, AMC et al) have officially confirmed and announced they have gone their separate ways and have ended their marriage.
For months on social media, it was clear that the two were seemingly apart, not appearing pictured in any of each others posts.
Now, on a mutually shared Instagram post, Jon and Cady made an official statement on the status of their relationship, beginning with “Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage.”

As to the future, Jon and Cady explained, “We remain friends and wish each other every happiness. As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”
Jon and Cady met when they both appeared on As the World Turns, he as Craig Montgomery, and she as Rosanna Cabot. After four years together, the couple decided to get married in 2014.

Adam Huss Makes Another Return to General Hospital as Nikolas Cassadine
Nikolas Cassadine will be back on your screens next week but now via Pentonville. That means, that actor Adam Huss is back for a visit for all-new episodes of General Hospital.
In story, Ava (Maura West) comes to visit her ex in the slammer. So, just what does Ava want now? She clearly has been working an agenda on Sonny (Maurice Benard). Is she working with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart)? What will she tell Nikiolas? stay tuned.
Meanwhile, once news of Huss’ return broke earlier on Friday via Soap Opera Digest, he also announced his return on his Instagram expressing, “For all those who’ve been asking, cat’s out of the bag;) Thank you to all my #Nikolas #GH fans for your unwavering support. I don’t take it for granted for a second! (Even when I can’t answer 😊) #generalhospital”

Huss took over the role of Nikolas back in January of 2023, after Marcus Coloma left the soap opera. Previous to that, Huss filed in for Coloma in September of 2021 and November of 2022. Fast-forward to January of 2024, Nikolas gave Ace to Laura and Kevin to raise, while he eventually turned himself into the police for kidnapping Esme and keeping her hostage while she was pregnant and Wyndemere.

The return of Huss comes on the heels of multiple reports that his on-screen son, Nicholas Chavez is not returning to the show as Spencer Cassadine, while in story Spencer is believed to have drowned int the Seine River after falling off a boat in France, when drugged by Esme.
