GENERAL HOSPITAL: Just Who Is Kristina's Professor? Jordan Warns Curtis To Keep Their Secret, Jason Is Ready To Regain His Memory!

There are clearly some secrets going down on General Hospital! On Monday’s episode of the ABC soap opera, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) get a call from her professor, “Parker”. Kristina threatens “Parker” that if the harrassment continues, she will tell-all to “Parker’s” wife!
Looks like Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) is doing everything she can to keep TJ (Tequan Richmond) from knowing the key truth about his life. When TJ sees his mom talking to his Uncle Curtis (Donnell Turner) he is thrilled to see him, but Jordan has previously asked Curtis why he hasn’t left Port Charles as of yet. Later, Curtis apologizes to TJ for not being there when his “father” died. Jordan warns Curtis not to hurt TJ, or tell him the truth.
Jason (Billy Miller) has finally come to the conclusion that he wants to regain his memory and admits that to Sam (Kelly Monaco). He feels he wants to know his life before his amensia, even if it means getting help from doctors, going under hypnosis, or whatever. Jason feels it’s not fair what he has done to Sam and others in his life, and admits now he is ready to dig deep, and try to uncover who he truly is.

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trina’s Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)
At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)
Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didn’t burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) I’m willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good. I was working with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ric’s History of Jealousy Where Elizabeth is Concerned Has Come Back Around
On General Hospital, Ric Lansing (Rick Heart) is about to fall back into dangerous old patterns by the foreshadowing during the Wednesday, August 19 episode. After first coming to see his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and telling him of his plan to propose to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) his longtime love tonight, Sonny has concerned.
Next, Sonny reminds his brother of what has happened in the past, when things have gone south with Elizabeth and wonders if it’s too soon for him to propose to her. What Ric did not tell Sonny is that he has seen the developing closeness between Sonny’s son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth, which is propelling his urgent need to propose.
Meanwhile, Dante ran into Elizabeth at the park during a break from their mutual team softball games. She needs help with a bookcase after the game at her house. Dante wants to put it together for her. Later, Dante arrived at Elizabeth’s house, limping after injuring his knee during the game. Head nurse Liz wanted to check out the injury as much as Dante protested, which required him to take off his pants.

RIC BEGINS TO UNRAVEL
Outside Elizabeth’s widow, Ric arrives with a bouquet of roses and the engagement ring. When he leers through the widow he is shocked to see Elizabeth rubbing Dante’s leg while Dante is in his boxer/shorts. He storm troops into the house, demanding to know what is going on here? Both Elizabeth and Dante look surprised by his reaction. In the pick-up of today’s Thursday, August 20 episode (see GH video teaser below), viewers will learn the upshot for all three characters.
A VENGEFUL PAST
As longtime GH fans know, Ric has done some horrible, vengeful things in regards to Elizabeth starting back in 2003 after she lost her baby after Ric’s ex, Faith Rosco pushed her down a flight of stairs. Ric accused Sonny for the accident and to get revenge, Ric kidnapped Carly (who was married to Sonny at the time), and stashed her in a panic room below the house where he was living with Liz.
On top of that, Ric fed his wife Elizabeth birth control pills to keep her from getting pregnant so that they could raise Carly’s baby together after it was born. Eventually, Elizabeth found Carly in the panic room but ended up having a pulmonary embolism. When she woke up in the hospital, Elizabeth was all confused by what happened, and Ric convinced her that her vision of Carly was just a bad dream. Eventually, Elizabeth learned the horrifying truth and divorced Ric.
Years later, Ric noticed the connection between Elizabeth and “Jake Doe” who eventually turned out to be Drew (Billy Miller) A jealous Ric hired Hayden Barnes to show up and claim to be “Jake’s” wife. Elizabeth stepped aside, and when Ric planned to propose to Elizabeth at the 2015 Nurses Ball, Carly exposed his manipulations, and Elizabeth dumped him yet again. And those are just two examples of the lengths Ric will go to for Elizabeth!

Yes I agree Melissa…GB’s twist would be interesting…Perhaps GB…they’ll read your comment. Though it seems you’re not that taken with the idea you may have generated a future interesting storyline…
i have no problem with kristina being bisexual. my problem is that i feel that the discovery that Parker is a woman – and i have a really strong hunch that this is where this story is going – in and of itself is not enough of a story. a twist does not a story make. if that’s all there is, it’s pretty thin. i’ll gladly be proven wrong, but my feeling is that the writers feel that that alone is a story. we need way more than that for it to be compelling storytelling
Hi GB…yes, I understand you were saying Christina was probably having an affair with her female professor…and that that alone wasn’t too much of an interesting story to you. I think that, unless it’s been leaked on another site, that was an idea you originated. That in and of itself I find interesting…never even thought of it.
From my recollection on GH they haven’t ventured into female same sex or bi-sexual relationships, so that would be a first. We of course have gay couples that are traditionally men on soaps…or from my viewing experience.
If they go there, and if so expand upon it, it could be interesting. And moreso as you say if it involves a plot beyond that.
GB, I need to ask, did you mean that the professor, who may be female, knows of ‘a secret’, regarding Kristina? A secret which could be anything, really…you could have meant even cheating on exams. I took it upon myself to elaborate on your premise of a female professor having an affair with her female student. I did not get the impression that was what you meant. In no way did I presume to steal your idea, if you were thinking the same thing. I merely elaborated on your suggestion that the teacher was female. You did not mention an affair. The bi-sexual part was from my very fertile imagination.

no-no. i was simply suggesting in my very first comment that the writers think that kristina offering to have sex with a female professor, which i really feel is is what’s happening here (they’ve never said “he” – have you noticed?) is juicy and shocking enough. it isn’t. it wasn’t directed at you.
Oh, I know that, GB. And, I thank you for that. I read your posts, and I can see you always speak fairly and kindly. I am glad we are on the same page. I always suspected an affair….I had said so a while ago; but, we both, firstly, assumed it was a man……we still don’t know if what we think is true. So, when you mentioned a woman professor; I took it one step further.
Needless to say, someone on these posts will naysay or throw unnecessary aspersions my way. I am used to it. I take it for what it’s worth and consider the source. All I can do is laugh at the obvious.
I must say, blackmail is not so far-fetched, right, GB? I think a storyline about an illicit lesbian-affair would turn Port Charles and its oh-so-primly-polished (HA) citizens on their heads.

BEGINNING TO FEEL THE SAME WAY… BILLY MILLER IS SUCH AN EXCELLENT ACTOR AND I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE HIM ON GH BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT WE ALL EXPECTED…..WASTE OF TALENT AND NOT GETTING ANY BETTER…….
I assumed nuJason was going to be in limbo until Stevie B was ready to return, at which point the audience discovers nuJason is really AJ, another plot twist orchestrated by Dr Monica Q…clever cousin she is.
Great twist but Burton is in heaven over on Y&R!
I hear ya! Doesn’t help that low talker doesn’t add anything to these scenes. Sam may as well hand Jason over to Liz the way she keeps telling him to find his way! This story is not exciting at all, in FACT, the only story holding my interest at all is Dante & lulu and that ain’t saying much!

We do think alike in that, Kristina is a real B with Molly. A bientot!
My guess is perhaps he is writing a tell all book about the mob and wants her to give him dirt of her father Sonny. I remember at Christmas she seemed so interested in his past and taking all kinds of photos. So he could be saying to her get me this information and I won’t tell your parents why you got kicked out school. If not a novel then he wants intel on her mob family for some reason-

I really liked Tracy and Larry, too. Just the kind of guy to keep Tracy on her toes. On the other hand, she doesn’t need another questionable guy in her life. But then where’s the drama? However it’s hard for me to believe Larry is at the resort just to find himself.
I agree. I do not find this as a coincidence either, Rose. There must be more to it than that. Perhaps, Larry has been keeping tabs on Tracy….it could very well be that he knew she’d be there….We’ll soon find out. He could even be working with/for Paul.
Larry seems too conciliatory, almost sheepish. So profane to me. Everything about him gives me the heebie jeebies. I do hope Tracy will not catapult into whatever trap he has laid out.
Parker knows Kristina had a baby by Johnny Z and is blackmailing her…Curtis is really TJs father-not Sean,…what if Jason regains his memory…will little Jake who is a clone-the real Jake is dead and under Helene’s mind control prevent Jason from regaining his memory-why isnt Monica around ?

Curtis isnt-if TJs real father-about to blurt out ‘my son’ at the moment…soaps like to drag those things out..maybe Curtis had an affair with Jordan and accidentally killed the man who TJ thought was his father during a fight over the affair-Sean is his real father i thought….but like you im not interested…JaSNOOZENs story bores me and Billy Miller acts like it bores him too-the writers need to do something more interesting with Jason or GH could loose BM…i only watch once in awhile…with so few soaps left its hard to let go…hope there is a turnaround soon.

Alexis is also a very pretty woman……Kristina? I would not necessarily classify her as a pretty woman. She is average. The dark hair…..their stature….all three petite….give the illusion of similarity. The other girl who played Kristina fit right in. This Kristina also has a bad disposition; very cruel and catty. She is a young woman who strikes me as having lived a promiscuous life and the haggard results transmit through her eyes and belligerent behavior. Such subterfuge. Later.

I’ll admit I was worried about Billy taking over as Jason. I always thought I was just in love with Steve as Jason. But the longer Billy is in the role and the more they dig into Jasam the more I realize that I just love the character! And Billy is doing a really great job bringing his version of Jason to life. Just really loving this story and I find myself wishing Jason and Sam had more airtime. Although I know lots of people are over the Jasam and Carson show.

Hmmmm! Unless the basic theme of soaps has drastically changed, I would say Parker is one of Kristina’s professors with whom she has had an affair? Could it be they were both kicked off campus? Perhaps he is not ready to give up the relationship and ; thus, the harassing phone calls. Whatever it is, the story is not grabbing me. I have no vested interest in this little viper….just by the way she talks to Molly (whom I love….gorgeous, easy-going kid….and, I liked the other Kristina better). What throws me for a loop is how Alexis cannot read her own daughter. I mean, the woman should visit earth once in a while…get off the Julian planet and see what’s right in front of her eyes. I can understand how both Sam and Molly feel about keeping this secret from their mother…….I get what it’s like not to betray your siblings……but this is their sister’s livelihood….her future; they should step up and tell Alexis what has been going on. Alexis is too blinded by love to see two feet in front of her. So, the sisters should take the reins.
This newborn storyline about Jordan, Curtis and TJ should be kept in its infancy, and then obliterated altogether…..only my opinion. Not interested. What could it possibly be? Curtis and his brother were involved in a life of crime? Served time in jail? Thomas senior was a bad hombre? By the way, I cannot recall if TJ knows that Shawn is his father? Could that have something to do with it? Whatever! This is not adding any suspense; any extraordinarily meaty mouthfuls to Jordan’s stillborn story. ….thing is, i do like Jordan a lot. I like her personality, I like her sincere friendship with Anna. Why can’t the PTB develop the Anna/Scorpio/Mac-bring-Paul-down storyline, elevating Jordan’s honed instincts as a law-person?

@Fanny….I wouldn’t doubt your assertion that Finola brings her own wardrobe to Anna’s closet….the line and fit of her attire are so impeccable, not to mention beyond classy and sophisticated…they suit her to a “t!”! Quite frankly, it’s long been my belief that any of the senior actresses on GH generally have approval over what they wear….and could choose to supplement their choices with personal garments, if they should so desire. Both Helena and Madeline have also worn very appropriate and flattering garb for their frames and characters, as well, so perhaps some of their items were personal, too. When you think about it, one of the main ingredients in presenting a character is how they dress, so clothing is truly a very integral component in one’s dramatic interpretation of an acting role….I realize that budget constraints are a very real concern on this show, but sometimes the fashions are just so sad….for any actress to go the extra mile and dress herself at her own expense just shows their dedication to their character and profession! (Plus, there should be some tax benefits available for doing so…..) At any rate, I would definitely give Anna the prize for “Best Dressed” in Port Charles! (Although I have to say, I absolutely love that black coat that Carly wears…it’s both contemporary and classic!)
The worst part of GH is how long they drag a story out. It is so frustrating, especially with the Jason storyline. Let him get his memories back and move on!! With the dragging out of stories, you only have to watch like 1/week. I recently started watching Y&R (because of Michael E Knight), and it is AMAZING how quickly they move a story. You miss one day on Y&R and you miss a lot. Sadly, not with GH, my heart lies with ABC soaps (oops, no plural – only one soap now), but I am quickly becoming too frustrated.
Sorry but I disagree about Y&R. I think they, too, drag stories out way too long, i.e. the Adam reveal, baby Christian switch, etc. To me GH is a much more interesting show despite the dragged out s/l’s.
I don’t have a long history with Y&R, just recently started watching, so I can’t dispute the Adam reveal. But, I am amazed at how quickly the kidnapping was resolved, and the larger story is being revealed, Billy’s coma wasn’t dragged out, etc. I just think a lot happens in a single episode. Although, I believe this to be true, my heart still lies with GH. I just wish it would pick up the pace.
I just started watching Y&R because of Jason Thompson. Was impressed by how quickly they moved the Adam kidnapping plot. If it were GH we would only now be discovering that Adam’s missing.

Loving the mysterious suspenseful storylines the new writers continue to set up. Kristina’s secret….Hayden’s identity….Jake’s drawings….and Curtis’ background. I am enjoying the Crimson story with Nina/Maxie/Julian and the new crime fighting team of Anna/Robert/Andre.
Is their any rhyme or reason to any of these stories right now? I thought RC was the problem and once the recycled writers came on well everything was suppose to be fantastic. How many more scenes are we going to have with Carly and Sam putting knives in Liz’s back please move on from that and the child who plays little Jake is not strong enough actor for the story they are giving him. If Billy Miller looks bored it is probably because his style of acting the charming playboy never did fit with the role of Jason Morgan. I was embarrassed for the writers with the scene last week with Olivia please a contrived story about breast feeding to get Olivia in Julian’s world.
Hi k/kay. As we all know, Billy Miller is an actor. Whether he played a charming playboy or an aging woman…he’s acting! LOL…I understand we all get used to our soap actors playing a role and identify him or her as such…but new soap, new character. He’s playing his Jason Morgan role well ie., confused, lost, betrayed, searching, struggling. A bit forlorn…emotionally wounded. Yet, strong. His ‘style’ as you say SHOULD change with each role. I bet he’d be bored if he was always cast as a Billy Abbott type. His mellow almost brooding character is what Jason Morgan calls for…Who knows how the character’s personality will develop once he finds himself and begins his life anew…
As for the child actor playinig lil Jake, once again we differ in our opinion. He’s just the right amount of strange and detached, as he’s supposed to be. He was kidnapped and raised by Helena! He’s not going to be a smart alecky adorable kid ala Spencer, a beautiful, sweet cutie ala Emma…the inquisitive but loving little Cameron. He’s damaged. Time will tell where he too goes…

Although having Larry Ashton pop up the other day was a surprise. He and Tracy are gold together BUT you have to keep him around! These vets pop in and then out and all we see is Liz, Sam and Jason! Three great characters but its like their dialogue and their stories are stuck in quicksand! I will give credit to Jean and Shelly for writing the Drake send off. And when Mac and Robert were chatting at the bar, that was good. BUT, the show airs FIVE days a week! You have to do better than that or people will walk away!

Maybe you are on to something there, Timmm! Whilst GH has been my first, last and always favorite soap, its currently schizophrenic mix of urban crime drama and telenovela, with just a merely glancing nod to its traditional trademark romance and adventure, leaves me so wanting….the prevailing feeling seems to be “is that all there is?” Ever since the 50th anniversary year commenced, such has been the case, and I have hoped, and hoped, and hoped some more (in vain) for the show to recapture its former glory and for someone—anyone(!)—to make GH great again. Alas, that hasn’t happened, and in all realistic likelihood, it quite regrettably never will. Hence I’ve come to the inescapable conclusion that perhaps it is time for this once-venerable daytime institution to finally close its doors and reach a dignified end….bow out gracefully, so to speak, instead of sadly limping along and lingering on what is clearly inadequate life-support efforts.
In other words, its at its NINTH life!

@Timmm….Who is Yank? And you call yourself a GH fan? (Just kidding….) That would be Dr. Yank Se Chung, grandson of the Ancient One and staff medic at the hospital when they actually had more than one or two physicians at any given time! He was part of the Asian Quarter storyline, along with Nurse Jade Soong, granddaughter of crime lord Mr. Wu, patriarch of the Chinese clan still mentioned as one of the “Five Families,” and related to Brad. (His bio-dad was Jade’s late brother, Kim Soong…) In essence, Jade and Yank were the “Romeo and Juliet” of the time, because they grew up on opposing sides in the Chinatown struggle of good vs. evil, but both were decent people and just wanted to work at GH and date one another. (By the way, Tia Carrere was Jade! At any rate, they eventually left town and married….When Brad’s link to them first came up, I had hoped this cute couple had been in witness protection as “Mr. and Mrs. Cooper,” where they’d brought up their nephew Brad as their own son…and that they would return for a visit!) As for said Mr. Cooper and his MIA spouse? When we are blessed enough to be spared of even one annoying newbie, I don’t ask questions, just thank the Lord! If only there were more of them who could join Rosie in the “mysterious wherever!” Outta sight, outta mind!

I have always loved GH. They have the best cast in daytime. However, for the first time ever I am thinking of taking a break from the show until I read that something compelling is happening. It’s too hard watching the show fail to live up to its potential, month after month. The show has some great moments but that’s all. I don’t feel that I am in the hands of competent storytellers who have a through-line for the story lines. There is too much fluff, too many long and drawn out stories that never resolve and not enough attention paid to character motivation and history. Finally, the cast is just too large so the storytelling is not tight, with plots and characters frustratingly disappearing and
reappearing. GH needs overhauling – STAT!

I loved when Epiphany hugged Sonny when he showed her he could walk. It was strange but sweet. THEN, they come back from a commercial and EP is putting Sonny back in his wheelchair and Mr. Mob looked like a tooth pick in her arms! They should have her patrolling the docks!
Can’t Jason just bang his head and regain all his memories as Jason Quartermaine? There’s a story! Everyone who worships Jason Morgan would suddenly be on the outs. Billy Miller could act his butt off as he tries to come to terms with all the amoral things Jason Morgan did while trying to re-establish himself as a respected Quartermaine. This is simple soap opera 101 – dragging a story on for 2 years and wasting the talent of one of the best actors in daytime is not.
I agree with you. I wont take a break but I can put the show on and do other things and really not miss much! I pay attention if Robert and Anna are on, every time!
@Timmm….I’d be happy just to have Epiphany patrolling the hospital full-time again….that woman is a Port Charles treasure, and I’ve never understood the shabby manner in which she was so unceremoniously “disappeared” from the GH scene for such a long time. I found it especially galling because all we ever heard was that we needed more diversity, yada, yada, yada, and here was an absolutely beloved, established character with an already rich past just screaming to be expanded upon and to whom viewers were already emotionally attached, and instead of developing Nurse Johnson as a core family matriarch with a logical assortment of nieces, nephews, cousins, etc., they instead brought in all these unrelated newbies just to address that issue. The same could be said for Brad and his relatives who date back to the Asian Quarter days…..it was a brilliant and perfectly credible link to GH history, and could have re-introduced Jade, Yank, and all sorts of their kin. But I guess that made far too much sense…LOL. As for Sonny once again “finding his feet?” The only thing that even made this wholly predictable outcome mildly interesting was watching Nurse Johnson’s role in his getting there….otherwise, I’d have to say that Matthew Crawley’s “miraculous recovery” on Downton Abbey was far more thrilling and unexpected to behold!

Finally Jason wants to remember who he is! Stupidest part of this storyline was his disinterest in his past. Hopefully we can get some traction in this story when Jason has his memories back. He will remember his love for Sam and for Liz. He will remember what flawed human beings they all are and will forgive Liz, knowing that she always falls back on lies and manipulations when she does not get her way. This way they can all move on from this hot mess to an actual story line.
I couldn’t care less about Jordan and TJ and his baby daddy. I hope that Curtis is not TJ’s father. That means that Jordan slept with her husband’s best friend and his brother! Eww… Where is the rooting value for her character? I think we should mix Curtis into other storylines with other women because he is hot and continue the Anna/Andre/Jordan triangle.
I am glad that they are amping up the Kristina storyline. It was moving so slowly before that I could not care less. I like the idea that “Parker” is married to Hayden. She needs to interact with more characters than just Nik.

I’ve been watching since 1971. This is the most bored I’ve been in all those years. Like Billy Miller as Jason, but really turned off by Kelly Monaco. She has turned into something unrecognizable. I would like to see Jason get all his memory back even his Quartermaine memories. Now that would be storytelling.
Has anyone else picked up on the fact that Jason has returned to wearing a black t-shirt and leather jacket all of the time now. So I guess that tells us the direction the writers are leaning in. Again, nothing original. Sorry I’ve never been JaSam fan and never will be. Just because they’re dating in reality doesn’t mean they have to be paired together on screen does it?!
