Wouldn’t it be fun to have some stars from our cvancelled soaps be in the presenters mix? Faves from ATWT, GL or AW, as well as AMC and OLTL!

It would be fun, but they would have to pay their own airfare and the cost of the seat at the show.

I know, which is BS. But I hope many will see it as an investment in their career and how much it would mean to their loyal fans. Also, this could be their last chance to attend.

What a terrible thing to say………..Rachal Ray should go and wash some dishes & clean up her cooking mess !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is so wrong from the truth….Soap fans aren’t interested in her cooking show..I could care less about cooking shows…….Any cooking show I find BORING..These shows make you climb the walls of bordum……………………….I am still interested in my stories. That will never change..This is what I like..And I stick to it…She should be on the food network..That’s where all these cooking boring shows belong..Stay on their own food channel..Not on the major networks……………………

I agree with you susan m, shes another one on my can’t stand list, Hln, rachell ray for a host bad mistake, the majority of people who watch the daytime emmys are soap fans without them I don’t think any one would watch, come on do you think people are tuning in to see barbara walters get a emmy? I don’t think so. Cooking shows are the programs that are boring and should be put on the food channel and not infesting our daytime hours.Talk, Food, and just plain stupid shows are all over the place on cable, Give me… Read more »

Only one soap star and 2 talk show hosts, Hopefully that will change as we get closer to the big day. I could care less about who will win best dopy talk show, I pick oscar the grouch to win in that category. game shows are interesting I do watch 3 of them and they are always in the running, and one of them always wins. This year I am hearing it will be dedicated to One life to live and All my children, That will be a tearjerker. Seeing that will make it even more final that it is… Read more »

I am not sure Erika Sleazak is a good choice for a host for many reason. She is probably the best daytime actress (sorry Kim Zimmer fans) but she doesn’t have the star power. she could host a little segment but not be the host. Great actress but not enough clout. Remember daytime emmy’s are more than soaps and even then Erika was known for OLTL very few daytime stars transcend soaps let alone daytime – Alison Sweeney, Kristian Alfonso, Deidre Hall, maybe Tony Geary, Genie Francis, the guy who plays Victor Newman on YR, Cameron Mathison and Susan Lucci.… Read more »

I think Cameron Matheson (though, I’m not a big fan) and Allison Sweeney would be good choices. Their careers have definitely expanded beyond soaps. They would do a great job and represent everyone very well.

DAYS Jackée Harry Joins Freeform Comedy Pilot ‘Everything’s Trash’ in Recurring Role

Jackée Harry is one busy actress in Hollywood!  On the heels of learning that Harry has signed on more full-time on Days of our Lives in her role as Paulina, comes this bit of casting news.

Harry will join the cast of the Freeform comedy pilot, Everything’s Trash along with another notable actor, George Wallace.  Both will have recurring roles in the show should it go to series.

In story, Everything’s Trash follows Phoebe (Phoebe Robinson), a 30-something podcast star navigating her messy life. When her younger brother Jayden emerges as a leading politician, she’s forced to grow up, so she relies on her friends and close-knit family to help her figure out adulthood, since she doesn’t seem to have a clue. The series is inspired by Robinson’s book, “Everything’s Trash But It’s Okay.”

According to Variety, “Harry will star as Zora, Phoebe and Jayden’s mother. She and her husband are mid-Western transplants, but they have made a home in NY . They love and support their children equally, but truth be known, Zora acts (and dresses) younger than she is and straddles the line between “I’m my daughter’s mother” and “I’m my daughter’s best friend.”  Meanwhile, Wallace will play the role of Abraham, Phoebe and Jayden’s father and husband to Zora.

So, looking forward to hopefully seeing Jackée on a half-comedy sitcom at night, and doing her role on Days of our Lives? Comment below.

Victoria Konefal Will Be Back On Days of our Lives

This week Days of our Lives viewers saw the exit of both Theo (Cameron Johnson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal), much to the chagrin of Cin fans everywhere! But hold on! Days head writer, Ron Carlivati revealed that Victoria Konefal will be back on-screen this summer on the NBC soap opera.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Carlivati revealed: “From the moment we were coming to that point and we knew Ciara was going to exit town with Theo, we were immediately pursuing the next chapter with Victoria: When would she be available or willing to come back, and when could we tell the next chapter because I knew that would feel unfinished and be unsatisfying to a lot of people. So that’s why I’m happy to announce here that Ciara is coming back and we are going to tell that next chapter of the story and hopefully, this time, the audience will get the payoff that they’re looking for and hoping for.”

And as to just how long will Konefal who chose to go on recurring status with the show be back for her summer run, Carlivati shared: “At this point, and I can’t speak for Victoria and I can’t speak for the show, and this is not an official announcement in any capacity, but I will say at this point, there is not an end date. We are working with Victoria to keep the story going and keep Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s love story alive.”

Cin fans should note that Carlivati added, “I would encourage the audience to remember that they (Cin) have an important anniversary coming up this summer that may figure into their story, so she will be back sooner than you know.”

So, happy to know there will be more of Ben and Ciara? Where you upset to see Ciara exit the canvas with Theo? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
