Next Week On Y&R: Phyllis and Billy Can't Resist Temptation! Are They About To Commit The Ultimate Betrayal?

The heat is going to be turned up a notch, in fact, it’s going to be turned up quite a bit!

Next week on The Young and the Restless, look for Billy (Jason Thompson)  and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to finally give in to tempatation as their feelings for each other continue to bubble, err boil to the surface! Things got off to a rocky, but sexually intense start, when on Friday’s episode of the CBS sudser, Phyllis comes to see Billy telling him that he is going to far to stick to Jack (Peter Bergman) and causing problems for her marriage.  A confident Billy knows that Phyllis seems compelled to come by and see him, and when he goads her she slaps him. Phyllis then seems rattled at the sight of another woman inside Billy’s home.

But next week in the just released Y&R promo from CBS Daytime, Jack looks to be clearly on to the steamy relationship brewing between his brother and his wife, while an undressed Phyllis and a shirtless Billy look to have just done something they shouldn’t have, or should they have?

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Jason Thompson previews that after Phyllis suggests that they step away from each other, and that she will focus on Pass Key, while he concentrates on Brash and Sassy:  “Billy is like, ‘Well if you don’t want to be here, then why do you keep coming back?’  I think Billy is also a little confused by what’s happening wiht them.  Life’s been turned upside down for him, and he’s grasping at feelings and trying to hold on to something that feels real.”

So, what will happen when Billy and Phyllis can’t resist each other any longer?  We will find out, but for now watch the promo for next week  and the scene from Friday’s Y&R after the jump.   Then let us know if you think Billy and Phyllis are one hot duo,  if you hope they end up together in the long run, or if you hope Jack finds a way to keep them apart and seeks revenge on them for their duplicity! Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

0ooohhh my !
I saw that coming from 100 miles away..

anyways; I’M SHOCKED! whoda thunk, huh ?

Not shocked, bring it ON!!!

I cannot wait. I hate phack with a passion and anything that can break them up is A OK with me,

I Loved the Chemistry , bring a New Relationship out of this , Jack & Victoria are old school need the new

Wow, this storyline, is about to heat up. I love Billy and Phyllis, they have great chemistry together.

They’re nasty and truly awful to Jack. I feel so bad for him. Billy and Victoria will I’m sure end up back in each other’s arms at the end of the day but Amelia Heinle and new guy Travis played by Michael Roark are working some serious chemistry.

Creepy, insidious and incestuous. Listen, I can forgive a couple for giving into temptation when the circumstances dictate as much. But time after time Phyllis shows up at Billy’s house—even after the two kisses. She puts herself in this situation and he readily complies.
WHY does she keep showing up at Billy’s place? I love Gina as Phyllis but she is starting to remind me of why I hated Stafford’s Phyllis. This is so old Phyllis.

Incestuous? You apparently don’t know what incest means.

No kidding. Phyllis is one of the only characters left that has not done the brother thing.. So I am ok with this.. totally ok.. Phyllis and Billy are HOT

I knew it was coming and it sucks! Jack won’t have to do anything, because they will destroy themselves and their oh so important companies.

Yep, totally agree.

when i first learned that jason thompson was going to y&r as billy miller i suspected that tptb/writers were going to hook billy & phyllis up together……………………..wow

Yes! More of this please. Good old fashioned soapy goodness involving talented actors and core characters. What’s not to like?

Well, that’s true. And the two actors do have chemistry.

No chemistry for me. The writers pushed them together without any background supporting the feelings. The new Billy arrived presenting an entirely different look and approach in the crux of a story.

There is nothing subtle which draws empathy. The recent Billly/Phyllis looks and touches seemed so staged.

Yea, another incestuous type things. Wish it didn’t happen.

One relationship which has an appropriate history is Kevin and Mariah. Let it go slowly. People will like it. Let it last. They have chemistry.

Kevin just dissed Mariah big time.. why would any Mariah fan want her with him?

I don’t want these two together. They do nothing for me, and it’s just another
breakup of what used to be a happy couple. How soon until Jack finds out?
And even though it was used as a way to further their way toward the bedroom,
the way that Phyllis kept showing up at Billy’s after a fight with Jack seemed
pathetic. She needs a best girlfriend to vent to, jeez!

Do you all not remember years ago when Jack and Jill went up this same hill? Jill was married to John- Jack’s father! She was his mother in law – now the shoe is on the other foot – I don’t feel sorry for Jack.

And he was an awful person like Victor too..I.e. Original jack Terry Lester

Sonja…I (also) don’t feel sorry for Jack. At all!!!!! K-A-R-M-A!!!!!

I don’t feel bad for Jack either.. He sure did not wait long to get into Kelly’s bed either.. He promised Phyllis he would be there 10 seconds later he is banging Kelly after she had banged Billy. I am so ok with this.

Old Phyllis with some spice comes back. Yes!!! I want to see Gina Tognoni fire it up. When she was evil Dinah on GL she was in top form and I can’t wait to see what she does with Phyllis. Phyllis isn’t really evil just conniving and manipulative, which I like to see in her. Tired of her being angry for no reason and tired of her whining. The real Phyllis takes it on and deals with the fallout as it happens. Billy? He is great with Phyllis but I can’t take it seriously because of how he allegedly loved Victoria so much. Yes he is hurting. Yes he is confused but I just don’t completely buy his sudden fascination with Phyllis. I will go along for the ride cause the chemistry between Jason Thompson and Gina Tognoni sends sparks through my HD screen. Kudos to Y&R for firing on so many cylinders. My only complaint is seeing so much of Summer. God I despise that character. She is awful. Can we send her to medical school in a different city and have her phone in a scene on Skype once every two months? Please? The rest of Y&R I am really digging right now.

I think they are disgusting and don’t have any sexual chemistry but I really like Victoria and Travis, he’s a super hottie so have at it.

I think Billy’s carelessness of Jack’s feelings though is abhorrent.

I can’t stand icky vikki.. she is a freak who is got such a gross relationship with her controlling father..

Well they might not be able to resist temptation but I will, by not watching this story.

I can’t wait to see Jack freak out..
Jack has been a weak whimp for too long..
Everyone rides over him ..
Poor Jack has become stupidly weak and he needs a rude awaking..

((( looking forward to Bill & Phil … (no Viagra needed lol)

Not looking forward to Billy and Phyllis. Stop making Jack a wimp. Stop it. Stop both and go back to work!

and what is with the weird lip biting Jack does in every scene.

That pairing is beyond nasty. Can Jack please be freed for good from these two vile people? Maybe Max will take some requests on who to send down the stairs next.

Yeah , saw that coming, no surprise there, Phyllis can’t be faithful to anybody, especially Jack, AND I don’t like Jason Thompson as Billy, he just doesn’t fit the Character,

finally!!!!!!!
jason and gina are so hot!
both recasts are fitting in like a glove….. love em

I like Jack, and he doesn’t deserve a unfaithful wife, I wonder if Nicki and Jack hook up.. I think Phyllis will be sorry. Victor might end up with the Dr in Prison..Summer is a great Actor, she’s improved… leave her alone..lol

Two strikes Jan! Nikki and Jack is SO over and Summer sucks!

I like Jack, they will be paid back… Maybe Jack and Nikki will get together again.. Victor with the Dr. Summer has improved..

No. Yuck.

First of all that is not Phyliss or Billy! You can just recast characters so many times and the viewer begins to yawn. I like both actors but they should of been brought on as different characters. The sets the whole atmosphere of this show is gone. The original Jack would have blown her off long time ago and grinned while he was doing it. Gosh how I miss Terry Lester.

Amen sister, nail on the head! Fine actors BUT frauds! Justin Harley, well they got VERY lucky BUT I would take back Michael Muhney in a second! Plus, Justin will be gone sooner than later, he is VERY talented! Your right, Jason Thompson should have been a whole different character. He is VERY talented but sucks as Billy. Billy should have been shelved after Billy Miller left. Jason could have been Lucas Santori instead of the less than acceptable guy who plays him now. Terry Lester was great BUT I like Peter VERY much. I think they are softening him to be more like his father.

Read reply below you take care

By the way I think JH is affine looking man but Cheleas ans Adam were never the romance of the century it was always Sharon

Amen sister part II. Yes Justin is chiseled out of stone and seems like a nice man. Team SHADAM all the way!

Its so gross to think your brother would stab you in the back and screw your wife! Whatever Jack has done in the past is in the past! Jack should NEVER forgive Billy or Phyllis! They are grooming Jack to be the Patriarch of the family. Fine, but Jack is handsome and rich, lets give Jack a brand new love! Chelsea or Lilly come to mind. No more newbies for now.

Terry Lester was a friend so yes I am partial probably to a fault but I think PB is a fine actor! Sorry every time I see Terry on screen I tear up sue me

I liked Terry as well and the old Phyllis & the old Billy but I think it’s an injustice to keep comparing them all especially when they work so hard for the fans.I’m glad Billy finally got some much needed back bone to stop crawling back to Victoria as her whip boy. I don’t know if you all remember when Victor was in court and started to daydream about what his family would be without him? Now that Victoria is hanging out in a bar, Nick is getting nasty due to his losses and Victor wants him to run the company. Nicky has turned to alcohol more times than I can think of & now that Adam is unemployed I wonder if he’s going to try & buy his mothers property? I don’t know if it will happen but didn’t Nick marry Lilly in Victor’s dream?

I agree Nikki PB is a good actor I just miss the dark playboy edge to the character of Jack!I I have always adored Gina just a decade to young for the part and JT just is not convincing me as Billy I think sometimes you need to shelve characters for a while then bring them back. Sometimes producers just cant admit they stepped in it BM was Billy I hate him as Jason.

I thought JT was going to work as Billy then he started working with the cast and he lost me not his fault

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
