Victoria Konefal Will Be Back On Days of our Lives

This week Days of our Lives viewers saw the exit of both Theo (Cameron Johnson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal), much to the chagrin of Cin fans everywhere! But hold on! Days head writer, Ron Carlivati revealed that Victoria Konefal will be back on-screen this summer on the NBC soap opera.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Carlivati revealed: “From the moment we were coming to that point and we knew Ciara was going to exit town with Theo, we were immediately pursuing the next chapter with Victoria: When would she be available or willing to come back, and when could we tell the next chapter because I knew that would feel unfinished and be unsatisfying to a lot of people. So that’s why I’m happy to announce here that Ciara is coming back and we are going to tell that next chapter of the story and hopefully, this time, the audience will get the payoff that they’re looking for and hoping for.”

And as to just how long will Konefal who chose to go on recurring status with the show be back for her summer run, Carlivati shared: “At this point, and I can’t speak for Victoria and I can’t speak for the show, and this is not an official announcement in any capacity, but I will say at this point, there is not an end date. We are working with Victoria to keep the story going and keep Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) and Ciara’s love story alive.”

Cin fans should note that Carlivati added, “I would encourage the audience to remember that they (Cin) have an important anniversary coming up this summer that may figure into their story, so she will be back sooner than you know.”

So, happy to know there will be more of Ben and Ciara? Where you upset to see Ciara exit the canvas with Theo? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Methinks thou issued this statement because thou fans doth protest too much…
Good news!!

I am riding your same wavelength, James. Carlivati was under pressure —–the Ciara/Ben fans made their dusappointment clear.
I wonder, James—-will Claire and Ben hook up during Ciara’s absence? We had both agreed that they would commiserate and console each other to the point where the inevitable would happen? What then??
From what I’ve read, Ciara will be returning with a bundle of joy—

Thank you for your reply, Celia! I suppose you’ve seen Friday’s episode where Ben gives Claire flowers and, in her last scene, she stares at them wistfully. I had not heard anything about Ciara returning with a baby, although I believe your sources. Just as I believe Satan who knew in advance that Ciara and Theo would leave town together! My thought is that Ciara comes in, memory intact, and tries to stop the wedding of Ben and Claire.

I just think that the Ciara and Ben fans would like some kind of happy reunion. Is that too much to ask?!?!

PS: I said “I believe Satan,” not “I believe in Satan.” 🙂 🙂

Ciara having a baby is apparently on some of the YouTube rumor videos, but those are almost always wrong. I swear, somebody has set up some form of AI program to just generate the most random fan fiction rumors and present them as “spoilers”. Which never actually come to pass on screen.

Logically, if Ciara had been pregnant with Ben’s child, their wedding was in late July. It’s now early May, so Ciara would be at full term, or would have already had the baby. She’s clearly not even visibly pregnant. Not to mention the various degrees of physical trauma she’s been subjected to during that time (at least three explosions, for Hell’s sake!!) it’s not likely any fetus would have made it through all of that. Just ask Gwen about that. Worst thing that happened to her was being tied up in a chair for a few hours.

Now there’s always the outside chance that Ciara might have had sex (willingly or otherwise) with one of her captors, resulting in a pregnancy. But nothing that was shown on screen when she was locked in the glass box would support that idea.

And even if that happened, well I’m assuming Ben can read a calendar, so he would know it couldn’t be his kid.

Hello Satan! Thank you for the info on the YouTube rumor videos. And for providing logic involving a prospective Ciara pregnancy. And Lord knows, we can always expect logic from our beloved soap scribes…

Exactly—–I wrote as much, Satan. Yet, TPTB will concoct some sort of “unreality”.
Speaking of babies, I wonder if Abbi (sp) will be blamed for Gwen’s baby loss.
I would not put it past her to lie.

Pretty much everything about Gwen’s pregnancy has been a lie so far, so why wouldn’t she keep lying.

Yeah, she was actually pregnant, but you can bet your soul that it was never Chad’s kid. I still say that he was too drunk to actually do the deed on New Year’s Evil, but he was also too drunk to remember NOT doing it, so when he woke up naked in her bed, he just jumped to conclusions, as anybody probably would have done in those circumstances.

As to the origins of the fetus… I was going with the theory that Rolf implanted his test tube Stefano clone, but that seems doubtful now that the doctor told Gwen her dead baby was a girl. I’m a Devil, not a mad scientist, but I’m assuming that a clone would be the same gender as the person whose DNA you’re copying. So that leaves the possibility that Gwen had some random hookup with some other dude in Salem. Which probably doesn’t matter now that the kid is dead.

OMG—you are so right !!!!—–never crossed my mind—but, yes—Chad and Gwen never did it!! Knowing Gwen’s deceitful trademark, this is not a stretch of the imagination.
Rolfe probably did just what you say—-unless the baby was Jake’s? No? I guess not.
As far as for a man not being able to “perform” when drunk?—hmmmm. Wouldn’t know. LOL —
I bet Rachel is a product of Rolfe, as well.
Abbi will need to leave soon— maternity leave. So, will she be off to the hoosegow or to the mental institution?

i didnt see ben give claire flowers, for what?

Thanks for asking, rayna! Ben gave flowers to Claire as an apology for trying to enlist her to distract Theo while he kidnapped Ciara, a plan he aborted.

No, not with Theo!!! Ben & Ciara need their own child!!

I agree!

What are you talking about? Where did I say the baby was Theo’s?–if, indeed, there is a baby.
Ciara will get her memory back —-as far as a baby ?—–(fallacious or not), who knows? It’s a soap. Twists and turns galore will be taken.
It would be ridiculous to assume Ciara was already pregnant when she left, for obvious reasons—–she was in hospital—-wouldn’t tests have shown just that? As I said ‘it’s a soap—-expect anything.

I was thrilled to see Thiara leave together.
I enjoyed Sane Ciara while I could.

This Devil loves the current version of Ciara, but even without the revolving door “recurring” status, I just don’t see any long term viability for her and Ben.

ReRon’s failed attempt to redeem a serial killer on GH dragged on and on and on 6 years after ReRon himself was gone, and only recently resolved, to the protestation of hundreds of fake accounts who never posted on any soap board before then. I’d really love to read the IP logs of these posts on this board and others for the true picture of the sudden “Frodd fan club” cult.

Problem is, you just can’t make a serial killer a “romantic” figure & one of the leads of your show. That’s just as true with Ben as it was with Frodd. Nothing against Robert Scott Wilson as an actor, he’s actually pretty good. They just should have cut their losses with the character and brought him back as somebody else.

That’s the approach they took with Jake… who is Stefan’s twin brother, and not Stefan himself as yet another Rolf zombie. Stefan raped one woman, and even that crime didn’t fit the conventional definition of “rape”. It certainly would be fair to say he was more “redeemable” as a character than a serial killer who killed 4 people (that we know of).

No more Ben. No more Frodd. Better yet, no more ReRon before he tries to do this a third time.

And for Hell’s sake can we lose the masks & dopplegangers already???

If they could redeem Luke Spencer after he raped Laura in 1979 then they can redeem Ben.

What Luke did is comparable to what Stefan did to Abigail. It was rape, but not in the violent sense, such as what happened to teenage Elizabeth on GH. Or Todd’s infamous gang rape on OLTL (didn’t watch the show, but you can’t help but hear about that storyline). And GH went back and forth for decades on how to categorize what happened at the old Campus Disco that night. You can argue one way or the other over the ambiguity of that act, but no such ambiguity exists with a guy who wraps a necktie around your throat and strangles the shit out of you. Or, in one case, shoots some poor midwife right after she helps deliver a child that Ben delusionally believed was his, at the time.

So while Luke Spencer or Stefan DiMera had their dark moments, neither one is on anywhere near the same level as a serial killer. Bo Brady’s not in Hell, but I imagine the folks upstairs have to really keep an eye out for him attempting to escape Heaven, because I can’t imagine he would be very happy to know his little girl was with a serial killer

Yes, lose the lazy, non-creative writing. Kristen’s masks and island. When Ben mentioned the cabin the other day I got so annoyed. With all the fires, that cabin should be nothing but ashes right now. The DiMeras; he writes them too stupid to ever think to go search the tunnels when anyone goes missing…..hasn’t that family and their tunnels been on the DOOL canvas almost 40 years? Shouldn’t that be the first place they look?

I hated setting Ciara leave with Theo i felt so sorry for Ben being put through all that hell

The Ciara/Ben story has gone on lon enough. We’d like to see them finally get their happy ever after. I love Ben and don’t want you to take him back to what he was before. I think the viewers would be very disappointed.

I’m with you on that one

Please don’t let Clare and Ben get together I want cin together

I was very upset because Ben is such a good actor and the show needs some happiness i have watched this show every sense i can remember and i am 74 yrs old

That’s too bad. I had hoped we had seen the last of this moronic character and bad actress. Good riddance to Mr. Man-bun. When does a barely-functional child become a normal adult?

Jim
Are you calling Ciara s bad actress? She only delivers the lines she’s given. As far as Theo, he’s still a teenager trying to act like a grown up. The nerve of him trying to take another man’s wife away from him. He makes me sick!

Wow! I am so upset that Ciera is gone again! I’ve watched DOL since 1965, and this is a disastrous story line!! I’m assuming Ms Konefal is unhappy with something, and that’s why she keeps leaving?? It wouldn’t be so bad, but this story line has gone on for so long it’s beginning to get disgusting!

She chose to go on recurring last year, so they write her in when she’s available to come and work.

I hated it….what made Theo think he has the right to move in on a married woman. People should have supported Ben more. He is a good guy. Theo just moved in on her and had the gall to tell Ben what he should do. He was her husband. Theo had no right to assume what should be done. He was pushing Ciara to go against her marriage. WRONG WRONG WRONG and the writers should know better. And the man bun was awful. Theo is a good looking young man and should therefore enhance it.I liked him until he started acting so macho and pushy. He should have helped Ciara instead of helping himself. He wants Ciara and will do whatever it takes to get her.

True

“what made Theo think he has the right to move in on a married woman”??

Don’t forget…. Theo is a DiMera. It’s in his DNA. Grandpa Stefano is actually a little bit proud of him right now, for embracing his dark side, to some degree.

Bring Ciara and ben back together

I thought for sure we were going to have an updated Bo & Hope w/Ciara & Ben I think that would be the best story line yet!!! They have been going through the same ups & downs that her mother & dad went through to stay together!!!

Theo acts like he owns Ciara and I was hoping Ben would punch his lights out. She’s married and Theo should have respected that!

I am so happy to hear she is coming back. I been waiting for the Ciara and Ben reunion to come. They have not had enough time. I always saw them as the next Bo and Hope couple. They need to have more time. You guys never gave them enough time and they have been through so much they must come back to one and another and have a baby together……

Very anxious to see Ben & Ciara back together and become the next Bo & Hope-

Dont want Ciara to go!! This is heartbreaking, No More, No More, Please!!!

I am at the junkture of who cares and enough already! The Ben Ciara story has outworn it’s welcome and appeal for me. If Ben ever got together with Claire, that would be the end for me. If Ciara comes back pregnant we know she wasn’t a willing participant at some point while she was gone or she and Theo played house. It can’t be Ben’s, the timing isn’t right. All the SLs are crazy right now. I think the writers are sipping on some drink Dr. Rolf has concocted. Will have to come up with a good name for it.

Well, considering what Dr. Rolf’s favorite hobby is (bringing people back from the dead) I’m guessing his favorite drink is the “Zombie”

Ben and Ciara belong together.
