The best soap opera storyline going (the WWE’s ‘Bloodline’ internal struggles, betrayals, and alliances), had its long-awaited major development following the conclusion of the Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens WWE Universal Championship headliner at this weekend’s Royal Rumble PPV streaming on Peacock. It provided viewers and fans with one of most dramatic moments ever witnessed in WWE history.
However, before all of that, it was the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble with each of the winner’s getting their shot at at the championship and to headline Wrestlemania in Los Angeles this coming April.

As expected, Cody Rhodes, who made his triumphant return after an 8-month layoff from the ring – recovering from a torn pectoral muscle and surgery – beat 29 competitors to win the Men’s Royal Rumble finally eliminating Gunther. For it was Gunther who set a record for being in the ring the longest during a Royal Rumble match. Gunther was entrant #1 of the 30 men vying for the shot at the title.
Also as anticipated, Rhea Ripley, who has been on a hot streak of late as part of the ‘Judgement Day’, punched her ticket to Wrestlemania besting 29 other women. Ripley outlasted Liv Morgan after Morgan got misted in the face by mistake by Asuka and Rhea used that to her advantage to be the last woman remaining in the ring.
But all eyes were on the main event of the night and just what WWE Universal Champ Roman Reigns had in store for Sami Zayn. Prior to the match, Reigns had told Zayn he had one last test for him to prove his allegiance to the ‘Bloodline’. Problem was: Reigns was wrestling Sami’s best friend, Kevin Owens for the title. Reigns, came to the ring with only Zayn and special counsel Paul Heyman by his side – the rest of the ‘Bloodline’ were conspicuous by its absence.
After Reigns defeated Kevin Owens, the rest of the Bloodline (Jimmy and Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa) joined him in the ring for a monumental beat down of Owens including handcuffing him to the ropes. When Reigns demanded Zayn find a chair, Sami was not pleased. After locating a chair under the ring, he tossed it to Reigns. Once in the ring, Zayn protected Owens and told Reigns he did not have to do this. That’s when, Reigns demanded Zayn deliver the chair shot.

Instead, Zayn hit Reigns in the back with the chair, thus ending his sensational run with the The ‘Bloodline’! What happened next was a sad beat down by Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Reigns of Sami.
However, in a surprise twist, Jey Uso, who had originally been skeptical of Zayn’s intentions in the ‘Bloodline’, turned his back on Reigns and the family, and walked out of the ring emotionally upset.
One can only imagine … perhaps Uso and Zayn might team up and it might mean the end of the Usos Tag Team Championship run? Will it be Owens and Zayn teaming up vs. The Bloodline? Zayn vs. Reigns for a title shot?
This story has been executed so well by the WWE that it has captivated audience and made Sami Zayn a beloved fan favorite in the process.
So, what did you think of the collapse of the ‘Bloodline’? Did you think Cody and Rhea would win their respective Royal Rumble’s? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, check out some of the highlights from the Peacock streaming PPV below.
WWE Friday Night Smackdown: Rey Mysterio Pushed to the Limits ‘Clocks’ His Son Dominik & Their Wrestlemania Match is Set
March 25, 2023
When the WWE tells storylines involving family of a wrestler, it succeeds the most in true soap opera form, and in front of a live crowd. This one set up a major Wrestlemania match months in the making.
Last night on Friday Night Smackdown, soon-to-be WWE Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio, was in a match against LA Knight. Coming to ringside was none other than Rey’s turned-heel son, and member of the Judgement Day, Dominik Mysterio.
When Dominik got the opportunity, he tripped up his dad from outside the ring ropes and LA Knight secured the victory. Already having enough of Dominik’s antics, Rey heads up towards the entrance ramp, but once again Dominik goes on to bait his dad, about what a loser father he is, and how all the years he was growing up, Rey was MIA and wrestling around the world.
For weeks, the younger Mysterio has been daring his father to punch him, but Rey swore he would never touch his son, no matter how bad things got. However, that all changed last night when Dominik involved Rey’s wife and his daughter who were at ringside.

Dominik got in his mother’s face for staying married to a loser like Rey, and after trashing his mother, that was the final straw for Rey. He headed back to the ring area and punched his son! After the crowd went nuts with approval, Rey turned to Dominik and told him he will see him at Wrestlemania and the match between father vs. son has been made.
Following the events, Rey took to his Instagram and shared: “Every man has his limits…Don’t forget, she’s not only your mother, but my wife.”
Watch went down below as Dominik provoked Rey which leads to next week’s Wrestlemania 39 match in Los Angeles.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Hug It Out and Reunite
March 17, 2023
When you can get the kind of ‘pop’ that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn received in front of a live crowd on Friday night’s edition of WWE Smackdown, you know you have struck gold.
Truthfully, this storyline has got so much emotional heart at its epicenter that you find yourself rooting for the two friends to finally put aside their differences.
With Cody Rhodes attempting to mend fences between the estranged besties, it ultimately failed, or did it? After KO walked out of the arena, he was about to get in his car and drive off when a distraught Sami ran after him. Sami pleaded with Kevin, sharing, that they are ‘brothers’ and that he loves him, and that this is not all just about wanting to repair their friendship just to go after the Usos. KO heard him out, but was silent and eventually drove off.
From there, it looked like it was going to be very bad night for Zayn. Not only was his friendship with Owens in question, but he had to head to the ring for a confrontation with enemy-turned-friend (or so he thought), Jey Uso.
In another great in-ring performance, Jey takes to the mic and unloads on Zayn. Jey says he was betrayed by Sami, and had no choice but to eventually go back and side with The Bloodline. Just then, Sami took the mic and told Jey he did have a choice, but instead he chose to put up with Roman Reigns’ abuse for weeks. Sami admits he loved being part of the Uso family and The Bloodline, but he wasn’t willing to stand for Reigns’ manipulations any longer. He even goes on to say that Jey secretly wishes that he had delivered the chair shot to Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
All of that said was not enough to steer Jey back to Sami’s side, and from there all communication broke down. Zayn was manhandled by both Jey and his brother, Jimmy Uso. However, Kevin Owens returned when his music hit … but not down the ramp, he was already in the ring behind the Usos.
Shocked, Owens delivered a stunner and powerbomb to the brothers Uso. After the ring was cleared of Usos, the crowd started chanting in unison “hug it out” as Cody Rhodes watched on a monitor from the back with a smile on his face and a bit overcome.
Finally, Kevin went in to hug Sami, the crowd went nuts, the friends are back together, and we wouldn’t be surprised one bit if this week the WWE will announce that it will be Owens and Zayn vs. The Usos for the Tag Team titles at Wrestlemania 39 in just a few short weeks.
Take a look at the dramatic moments leading up to the reunion of Kevin and Sami below.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Ridge & Bill and The FBI Are Working Together to Bring Down Sheila!
March 16, 2023
How’s that for a headline we thought we would never see, or did not see coming … at all! On Wednesday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, there was a quite a shocking cliffhanger in store for viewers.
The twist brings Thorsten Kaye back into the canvas after his character of Ridge presumably left town following Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) kicking him to the curb.
Meanwhile for months now, viewers have been wondering what the hell is wrong with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont)? How could he be romantically involved with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)? Hitting the sheets with her? Defending her? Blackmailing Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) to keep Sheila out of jail?
Many presumed it would be revealed that Bill has a brain tumor, or a physical ailment or had some sort of psychotic break (sword necklace and all), that would explain away his behavior.
Turns out we sort of got our answer at the end of yesterday’s episode. In it, we see someone scanning a key card to go into “authorized personnel only” room. As the camera pans up, we see plenty of computers and a jacket that reads FBI. Yes, the kind with big yellow letters on it.
Next, the cameras reveal a man taking off his headphones. When we pan up, it is revealed that the man is actually Ridge Forrester in a sort of ‘man-bun’. Next to him is … Bill!
Then Ridge calls Bill his “partner” in this takedown, and asks how is he holding up? Just then, we see Bill angrily looking at multi-cams from Bill’s house and of Sheila sitting on the phone talking to someone. Bill then declares that he wants to put Shiela Carter behind bars for life.
The story point has left viewers a bit confused. Such as: Sheila was already behind bars, when Bill got her out of the slammer by blackmailing Steffy and Finn over revealing that Taylor shot him years ago.
So, what did you think about the Ridge and Bill shocker? Do you think this is going to redeem Ridge in the eyes of Brooke and Taylor because he has thus been “protecting” their families this whole time? Do you think Bill will be able to keep his apparent charade with Sheila up much longer? Watch the reveal below, and then share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.
