Can’t wait!!!!!!! bye bye Britch

Aww, poor Britt.

Nope its out this week. Then the battle over Ben begins

Maybe its Victor Cassidine funding the Jeromes…not Madelyn or we’ll have two cops, Dante and Nathan, with a parent who is head of the mob! Im still hoping the twist is Maxi is really Bens mother…there could have been an egg switch and Britt has carried Maxis son and Dante is still the father…crazy maybe but dont forget Ron C. is writing this show…LOL!!!

Well I lost faith in RC’s ability to surprise us when he wrote the lame ending to the who killed Connie story— that was such a let down that I no longer believe any wild crazy scenarios are forthcoming with this one; Ben is Lulu’s and Dante’s end of story- everyone guess it months ago when Britt showed up pregnant, just like everyone knew AJ stood for Ava Jermone when Connie died—it was only us with some imagination that held hope for a real shocker than never came. In my book RC is becoming predictable as every other soap writer out there.

I so agree with you…instead of giving us something totally unexpected to make the show fun and exciting he takes the predictable easy way out…no real shockers!!!

Well, his shockers end up being ludicrously absurd so its hard to say whether that is preferable to lamely predictable. I am so annoyed at the way he has ruined GH. I personally wish ABC would go back twenty, twenty-five or thirty years and just show reruns from that time forward. I bet they would get more viewers that way.

I think it could be Silas’s mother-in-law back rolling JEROME’S . That’s why they aren’t looking at Ava as he person of interest !

Yeah, let’s go back to when GH was so believable, with the Ice Princess and the freezing of Port Charles… smh…!!!

This has been a year and a half, let the truth be told

I hope that lulu and Dante take Britt through the hoop…she is a liar…walk away Nicholas now

Can’t wait to see the fireworks this week!

I kind of like Britt now…
Can’t wait to see this unravel!
Who is Julian working with? I wonder if it’s Jerry… Again… At this point maybe it’s too obvious to be Rick.

While the indications may seem to point to Jerry, it sounds as though this person is going to be more of a surprise….don’t forget Mr. Jacks already shared a brief scene with Ava and Julian last year when he fell from the roof of the MetroCourt and they rescued him and aided in his escape. If Jerry were bankrolling the Jeromes as partners in crime, wouldn’t it have been more obvious then? Their relationship was not clarified, but they definitely knew each other. Ava was there and seemed in on whatever link they had…..the other day, Julian appeared intent on keeping his benefactor a secret from his sister…..which leads me to suspect it’s someone else. Not buying that it’s Rick either. Maybe “Bill Eckert?”

Luke isn’t Luke. Bill Eckert back from the dead posing as Luke.

Or Jerry Jacks wearing a Luke mask…and behind the Jeromes!!!

Ugh. No more stupid masks!

I am on the edge waiting!!
WHOOOPIE!! the time has come..

I really like RC’s twists and turns and surprises..
But.. I do want Britt to have Ben 🙁

ohh well, it is soap and not always written as what ya want lol ..

I am so sick and tired of Brit getting away with her deceitful ways and her continued lies. It is time for her to pay a price for all she’s done. and it is time for Nikolas to get a grip and walk away from this lying Britch!! Can we wrap up this story line like NOW !!!

This story could have been much more interesting if it hadn’t been so obvious from the onset. Another wasted story opportunity while the audience has figured out the truth for a year or so! Ho Hum!

Can’t wait… let the games begin!!!

This is the most ridiculous storyline, that has gone on for far too long. I actually like “The Britch.” Great actress. Love her scenes with “Muttah.” Dante and Lulu bore me to tears now, now that Julie Marie Berman is gone. Was never a huge Lante fan; Dante is written as a keystone cop with an ego. Not sure he’s ever solved a case. Anyhoo, Lante was bearable with Julie Marie Berman. Not so much now. Love seeing Nik more. Tyler Christopher is so handsome. Great actor, too! Love having the Cassadines back!

I agree with this post…ridic storyline…yes…Dante and Lulu should have had an investigation into why their embryos were destroyed. I love Britt and Dr O. Dante and Lulu WERE my favs when JMB was there…loved them so much and I still miss them. I would rather see Dante move on without this version of Lulu. I love Nik too….he is great with so many including Britt and Liz.

I think the big twist is that Luke is going to rape Kiki.

Just like he did Laura at the disco…hope she doesnt get preggers…ugh!!!

The story has been spun out for so long that viewers really don’t care any more. Let Lulu and Dante have their child so they can fade into the background. There are other stories to be told.
Maxie is coming back — will she have her daughter with her?

Sonny is going to go through meltdown number 153, or something close to that. If he were to land in Miscavige and forgotten by all concerned, it wouldn’t bother me one little bit. Maybe Carly and Franco can share a padded cell with him.

What is up with Luke? Good story potential there.

Obrect’s sudden concern for her daughter is out of character. What is she up to?

I’d love to see Drake Hogestyn come to GH as a vigilante friend of Monica’s who dismantles both the Corinthos’ and the Jeromes’ power base — and does it with extreme prejudice. Monica has suffered greatly at the hands of Sonny and the Jeromes. It’s about time she got some payback.

When is Patrick going to grow up?

Where is Jerry Jax? He can’t be finished?

What is Scot Baldwin up to, besides being incompetent as a prosecutor? Where is his daughter(s)? Kevin needs more story. Get him away from Lucy. She is just too zany these days.

Where are Tracy’s sons?

Is Lucas going to remain in Port Charles? Give him a story more impressive than being a gay third wheel.

I think Jerry is wearing a Luke mask…Tracys son Ned is returning…where is Bobbi? If Drake was on the show(he is back on Days) id like him to play Jeff Webber…

I hope the truth comes out …………. this storyline as been dragging on way to long. I can’t stay Britt! As for the surprise I have no clue! Cheers!

can’t wait for the stuff to hit the fan… the fur to fly… and is Britt really the bio daughter of Fiason and Obrecht? Always wondered if Leisel (?) did the same thing trying to keep Faison.

Me too! Liesl’s reaction to Victor Cassadine’s initial appearance seemed suspiciously tense, like she had something to hide, perhaps her daughter’s true paternity? Normally, this lady is usually so cool, calm and collected, yet she was truly unhinged when she encountered him that first day at Wyndemere. But then again, if Britt is actually related to Nik, wouldn’t Dr. O. have been opposed to her upcoming marriage? Hmmmm…..

she seemed scared of him, to me. Which is odd, since he seemed like a nice Cassadine, not obviously evil like Helena I mean. So wonder if he’ll be around any more? I figure the egg he gave to Spencer was a bug for Robin’s house. Was hoping Patrick would have found it when he broke the other day…. otherwise the bug is now hiding in Kelly’s diner! ha!

Don’t let Victor fool you because he is so charming and debonair….he is still a bad one, just not quite as evil as his brothers, Helena and crazy nephew(s.) But he has always been my favorite Cassadine, and from what I have read, there is a good possibility that he will return….I certainly hope so! I think he has a lot more going on in Port Charles than meets the eye! Never considered a bugged Faberge’ egg angle, but that would have been a clever idea!

If they bring back those stupid masks, then the nickname ReRon for the head writer really is appropriate.

I can’t wait!!

I don’t want Britt to have the baby either!

I want them to give us a scene with Leslie Charleson and Donna Mills. Something like
MONICA: You remind me of my sister. She was bich just like YOU are!
I actually watched an old LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING scee on You Tube. Amazing to see the both so young!

I posted that a few times about Donna and Leslie but i want them to play estranged sisters on the show who havent talked to each other in years because Maddie stole Ninas father from Monica which couldve happened before Monica was involved with the Webber brothers and before she moved to Port Charles. It would be sort of a nod to their old soap where they played sisters in love with the same man played by David Bernie…Leslie and David use to date in real life!!!

That’s too bad, because I love Nik and Britta, but I can see now that they’re going to destroy them to reunite him with Liz. Well, sorry but I will never like the two people who broke Lucky’s heart in such a cruel manner.

As for Lulu, I’ve never liked her, hated the way she treated Maxie over baby Georgie, and do not want her to have a baby. Ben belongs with Britt, but having him be Lulu is all a part of destroying Nikitta I suppose.

Everyone wants Britt to pay for what she has done, well tell me who on this show ever pays for what they have done. Sonny shoots people in cold blood all the time. he is standing right in front of them and they live Dante, AJ . No wonder he thinks Shawn is a great killer for hire. Two peas in a pod. I have changed my mind and I like Britt. I also like Lulu, Dante the perjurer not so much. . I won’t bother to watch this .I don’t care . Will Scummy shoot Britt? Maybe Faison can return and show scummy how its done. he can kill Sonny. The surprise party crasher is either Ned or Sonny .sonny is the only one who would show up where he is not wanted. Look what he did at Robin’s funeral !I will read about it after it happens.maybe.

I am trying to find out where I can get the dress that Lulu was wearing at the engagement party. The black and white.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
