GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Remembers The Names "Elizabeth" & "Jake"! Should Liason Fans Be Hopeful?

On Monday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital, Billy Miler as the new Jason Morgan uttered his first words as a member of the cast on-screen! For awhile, Billy AKA nuJason has been lying in a hospital bed bandaged up. In story, Jason is recovering from serious injuries thanks to to Ava (Maura West) running him over with her “getaway” car! All we have seen for the most part are Miller’s eyes thus far since his debut and a hand! And it has been Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), his former flame and the mother of his deceased son Jake, who has been the main person and nurse attending to him. Clearly, Elizabeth feels and has revealed to others that she feels a strong pull to her patient, “John Doe”.
And that pull just got stronger when Jason, who is clearly suffering from either short term or long term amnesia, or shock at this point, doesn’t remember his own name. But he does hear and remember some voices in his head! Jason even says the words, “Elizabeth” … and then “Jake”!
Will Elizabeth be the one to put two and two together? And what does this mean in terms of current or long term story? Will Jason only remember his life up to his time with Elizabeth and Jake? Is this a chance for long time fans of beloved coupling Liason to see their duo get their day in the sun? Will Jason not recall he has a wife Sam (Kelly Monaco)? And what about the fact he never knew that little Danny is his own bio-son?
Watch Jason remembering the key names in the clips below from yesterday’s GH, and then weigh-in! Do you think this is the chance in story that Liason fans have been hoping for? Well if they would just give Silas a personality they wouldn’t be! 🙂 (I’d like to see them make another go of it…Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco have good chemistry…but they need to expand his role…).
Sam would be boring with anyone. As pretty as she is, her personality is spent…lights out….a complete contrast to her attractive external being.
I would prefer it the other way around. A not-so-pretty-face, but with an ebullient personality.
Silas? With the right person, he would not be so boring.
First, I have to take credit for the “cray-cray!” Sigh…no one remembers I used that (I believe first) when addressing Shay about Sabrina. Oh well… 😉

Ahem. Really? Silas has repressed passion. Silas loves and lusts for Sam…the epitome of sexuality…a vibrant, seductive, inquisitive, playful bad girl with heart of gold…wench! (sorta.)
Michael Easton isn’t even fifty. Leslie Charleson is close to seventy. I’m all for age difference…but I think perhaps if a couple starts out at 30 and 50 and their love keeps them together they might still see each other thru the same eyes. But I can flinch just even imagining this couple starting at their ages now.
I don’t like Monica with the judge. His whole attitude toward Maxi is unrelenting and cold. I also find it strange that Monica didn’t acknowledge knowing Maxi…she could have put in a good word for her.
Silas? If it’s not meant to be with Sam…he could possibly be interesting with Skye if they ever brought her back. She too is sexy, vibrant, compassionate, intelligent…and that would bring him into the Quartermaine circle as well…
Sam is a little less boring with Patrick. Something is wrong with Silas. He is a good actor. He needs a decent story.This is way out in left field and the only reason this even entered my mind is because Monica recently went on a date. Why not have Silas fall for Monica? I know, it is crazy but we always see younger women with older men, why not a younger man with an older women. Imagine the Q,s reaction!
It does sound crazy, Timmm. But, believe it or not I thought the same thing. I guess you and I are both cray-cray. I thought they got on well…cracking jokes and stuff. That was such a switch from the more morose demeanor Silas usually displays.
CeeCee, it is so nice to here someone other than me being cray-cray! Yeah, it went really well. I miss Alan so much but if Robin doesnt revive him, I would love to see Monica happy again. It is a strange feeling to lose someone and then think, should I never remarry and honor my husband or should I move on and date again. I suppose it is a question I would ask if I was to marry. What do you think? Is it okay to move on if all the sudden your a widow? I guess some of it has to do with your age. Anyway, yes, bring Silas into the Q fold. Tracy would love that!

I personally can’t ever picture myself with anyone else because there has never been another man in my life. So, it is hard for me. My brain refuses to go to “What if something happens to him”…. The thought would really drive me cray-cray.
Most people remarry out of love, some for security, while others for companionship. It is up to the individual, albeit some people do things they never though they would do in the future. Never say never, I guess. But, Timmm….I am an old soul…that’s what both my grandmothers always tell me….lol
All I know about Monica (looked her up) is that she was pretty ‘restless’ in her younger years….had her share of lovers? Wasn’t she like Nikki Newman? Falling in and out of love with Victor?
So, now perhaps she is looking for a more sedate, meaningful relationship. If it is to be with the meanie judge….then, sobeit. More power to her….go girl !!
Also, Timmm. I think love is ageless. If two people get along, fall in love, have common interests, why no be together, regardless of age.
Monica and Silas have so much in common. But would TPTB go there with Monica? They did it with Ava and Morgan, why not Silas and Monica? I’m all for it.

Liz and Jason have had many of chances the last one lasted almost 2 years of boring no acting stuff. We do not want Jason(Sams fans)after he bangs Liz!The woman a few months ago was caught all up in AJ/Nic/Ric, nothing worked our simply because there was no chemistry. Liz have been paired a number of times and she has nio chemistry with anyone.With Craptini head up Liz’ass and having Jason not remember the woman he walked from the night of his death is bullshit, and I knew Craptini was the mess it up,not only will he destroy the character of Jason, but he is going to destroy the lastest fan base JaSam!Liason is strong only on paper, and paper that was pimped by Richard/Ryan!
As a big fan of Nikolas and Elizabeth I am more concerned about THEM getting their day in the sun. After all the build, two years worth for Niz, I resent it being pushed aside for this. Niz should have finally got their chance but instead they get sidelined for a been there and done that relationship. No thanks. It’s Niz or bust.
Yeah bit unless Lucky were to come back to the show, after Niz’s honeymoon, what story is here to tell? If Lucky were back at least there would be tension/drama.
I agree, I’ve been waiting for NIZ to happen for years. I’ve never seen what others see in liason, but if they were to ever get together, I guess now would be the best time since he can’t remember who he is and she is lonely. It’ll be a good way to finally fulfill the fantasy that is jason and liz.
I like this. I am happy that Jason will be with Liz. I hope he is a doctor. I want him and Monica to be real close. I dont want him with Sam. He will eventually remember her or at least have a relationship with Danny once he finds out he is his father. Sam can be with Patrick if they do not recast Robin. Ric will end up back in Alexis’s arms and Molly will be over the top! I see Julian with someone else all together. Maybe with Faith Roscoe, Julia Barrett, or Sky Q. None of these ladies are on the show YET! We’ll see, I hope William deVry stays on GH, though.
Yes, id rather see Julian with Skye…me and Patrick discussed this in the past…i can picture them together and it would be hot…i wanted Alexis with Kevin but if Ric returns that would be great too…i see Sam with Patrick but shes so dang boring…lol…i still believe Elizabeth Hendrickson would be the perfect recast Robin if it came to that…tired of her constant kidnapping…lol
Kevin/Ryan was a good story line to play for this actor. Kevin and Lucy, not much story there. I thought Kevin would snap when he caught Lucy and Scott together. Sam can be a bit of a snore and thats another reason I dont want her paired with Billy Miller. I love Kimberly but like I have said, if she wants to direct, fine, let Liz come in and take over the role of Robin.
I like the idea of Julian and Skye, Jim. I do believe that Ric cannot come back until Tony Geary is able to come back and we don’t know when that will be.
Tim, I agree Sam is rather somnolent and yes, love Kimberly but no more exits and returns. I keep hearing The Clash,”Should I stay or should I go?”

Well since he’s the “new virgin” Jason (pun intended) he’ll probably make the rounds on all the gals from his past and probably gals in the present.
I didn’t watch GH when Jake was alive. But, even I know it will be very sad for Elizabeth to tell John Doe/Jason that Jake is no longer alive, regardless of how much he remembers.
Kansas, from personal experience, losing a child is a pain that never leaves you. That child is in the very air a mother breathes.
This Liason fan will most certainly NOT waste my hope by putting faith in these writers to a.) write a storyline for Liz and b.) reunite Liz & Jason. I am tired of being baited. Obviously, Jason and Sam is where the story will be written given that Sam and Patrick have bonded.
I don’t know why but the last three headwriters have not been at all interested to write for Liz Webber in spite of the character and actress, Rebecca Herbst, being largely popular for nearly two decades on GH. The current regime has done a better job of getting Liz onscreen but she has not driven a story. I dream storyline would be for Liz and Jason to discover that Jake is alive and has been kept hostage by Helena Cassadine. Helena’s intention was to use Jake as a way to manipulate Jason into doing her bidding while hurting Liz, Lucky and Luke. With all of the returns from the dead and bodies kept on ice to return, Jake would be the only character I want returned (used to be AJ but that return was botched up.)

Still hoping for Dr. Jason Quartimaine…great seeing Monica…i dont really see Jason’s memory coming back completely…it would be nice if it happened soon but me thinks itll drag out and on New Years Eve Jason and Liz kiss under a fireworks lit sky and then his memory returns…like that idea better than my previous one…lol

Jim, with Billy MIller’s face partially covered in bandages I was able to fixate on his voice rather than on that very handsome face. He sounds like Jonah Hill!
I watched most of today’s show and thought it was actually good. Billy is just ozzing all kinds of sparkling charisma from beneath those bandages and he and Lizzy have already struck a chord of chemistry.
I abhor Snarly though and Carly needs to ease off the spray tan as it is making her face orange. I love Olivia again. She’s shed that psychic-psycho histrionics, as well as Nick Tortelli (Sonny) and she’s back to being that down-to-earth woman. I love her with Ned.
I can’t stand Alexis and wish Julian would stop waxing his chest as he reminds me of an over grown Ken doll.
I think they tried to explain Jason’s voice change when his vocal chords were damaged while he was in Creighton Clarke. Remember those days “Silent Jason’s Lower Half” and Robin were running around trying to escape? Robin said Jason’s vocal chords were damaged.

he needs to find his life, a journey he needs to go on alone .. (perhaps with guided therapy, not to be in relationship, he doesn’t know himself, yet..

I definitely sgree with you, Su. People live completely full and happy lives being single. And, it makes so much sense to just let Jason be and allow him to find himself.
Sorry suOOOO but soaps have always been about couples and uncoupling and recoupling over and over again…lol…but your right…they can often be boring, and many dont last long…what they need are more stories that involve music boxes…ok, just kidding about the music box thingy…lol…but there should be romance, drama, crazy adventure and danger…more story…i need MORE story!!!…lol…GH is getting better and im enjoying it again!!!

it’s a soap opera predicated upon the very idea of romance–of that first meeting, the build up, the comingling, the conflict, the climax (story-wise) and the resolution which usually means a break up.
I will take romance over mobsters blowing things up any day. I’m a lover, not a fighter.
I am not for a Liz and Jason reuniting. Been there done that and was not impressed. I know many are but I will just have to start recording the episodes so that I can speed through those scenes. Jason and Sam were “the” couple, can’t say how much sparkle Kelly and Billy have but I personally know of no one Liz has a sparkle with except Lucky and Ric. I’m sure there are others who feel the same.
This is obviously the reason they gave Jason plastic surgery…instead of just saying “the role will now be played by…”
Seems like this Jason will have/develop feelings for Liz…and even if/when Sam finds out who he is she may just have already fallen for Patrick or have gone back to Silas. I can see her saying that he’s not the Jason she fell in love with…physically or emotionally…that her love for HER version of Jason will always stay with her…but this Jason is like a new person, thus clearing the way for a new romance for her….and a finally realized relationship between Jason and Liz.
I too would like to see Jason back in the Q fold…Monica deserves to have one of her sons back…and ti’s a start at rebuilding the Q’s…Jason, Michael, Ned, Monica, Tracy…hopefully Alice will pop in occasionally…
Then again there’s always the lurking Helena and her plans for Jason. Great storyline possibilities!

I REMEMBER that “cray-cray” crack!!!!….However, I have to say the joke’s not on me anymore, because the only one obviously heading toward the nuthouse is none other than your girl, Sappy/aka, “Snippy!!!!” (Cannot happen soon enough for me…..LOL!)….Having said that, I agree with you about Monica and “Da Judge”…..talk about an odd couple!!!! (Plus, is it just me, or does “hizzoner” not seriously resemble the actor who portrayed “WoFat” in the classic version of “HawaiiFive0?”) The first time I saw him on GH all I could think about was why is “WoFat” occupying the judge’s bench in a Port Charles courtroom?….Really!!!!

never saw the original…(I do remember my father watching it) but I googled it and I don’t see anyone who resembles the original WoFat. (I do love the new version; so fun.) Scott Caan is hilarious and sounds exactly like his father. Love Daniel Dae Kim from LOST…and talk about a hot Aussie…Alex O’Loughlin is right up there with some of the others from our chats on previous posts.
Yeah. We have to get a new guy for Monica. And PLEASE…not Silas!!! I think they need to get some interesting Steve Hardy type guy for her, but with a bit of an edge… Actually, it would have been quite interesting if Mike (Sonny’s dad) had come back and THEY wound up dating. Having said that, the name of the actor who portrayed the original “WoFat” was Khigh Dhiegh (and nope, that’s not a typo….) Although he has long since passed, he was frequently featured on the first “5-0″…..One summer long ago, I watched all the old reruns of that show when they ran late at night, so I know he was in many episodes, as well as “The Manchurian Candidate.” Check him out online….(Oh, not a fan of “Hawaii 2.0″….I viewed its debut, but for me the late Jack Lord will always be the quintessential McGarrett…..) As for Monica’s love life, I have felt that the right man for her at this stage in her life would be her ex-hubby, Dr. Jeff Webber. (Yes, that would be Liz’s father….) I would love to see that character return to Port Charles as divorced/widowed to pick up where he left off with Dr. Quartermaine after she cheated on him with his brother Rick. (Which was so far back in history, that I was a tweener just cutting my soap opera teeth and it wasn’t even Leslie Charleson, but another actress, doing the nasty deed. While I cannot imagine Richard Dean Anderson, aka, “McGyver” deigning to do daytime again, there could certainly be a recast. It would be great to have Jeff—aka, Dr. Steve Hardy’s illegitimate son—-come back to carry on the family legacy at GH….not to mention deal with his exes, which include not just Monica, but Heather, as well! Oh my!)

I do agree that Franco and Nina will be perfect for each other….you are right; there is a strong simpatia between them. These two will heal each other once they come together.
I find Silas’s behavior gross and pathetic ….he is acting like a recalcitrant, hurt little boy who didn’t get to lick his ice cream…Personified as someone named Sam, the______? He should have taken pity on Nina. And, at the risk of sounding repetitious, she is his wife and as such he should treat her with a little more dignity. She is obviously sick…so, what does he do? ….he screams at her ( boy, he really looked ugly…LOL.) because he had lost his pet, Sam. I have a few adjectives up my sleeve, but then you won’t get this post if I were to use them.
Anyway…did you watch today’s episode? ….you know how sometimes phrases that are verbalized with such nonchalance just hit that little funny bone? Well, I was slain by Franco’s response to Silas, ” I love porn”… I am still laughing as I type the line. Absolutely hilarious. I just love Franco…later.

Liason will always be my first love & favorite couple on GH. I’ve been a GH fan for 51 yrs & have loved lots of couples but none like this one. Liason deserve to be together and their fans were robbed & teased before to make Jason into a sacrificing saint. Now they could have a fresh start. I just don’t want LIz trashed yet again. I also always wanted a Billy/Becky pairing. I just thought it woudl be on YR. I plan to enjoy seeing them together for as long as I can get, and if it doesn’t work out again, well it’s RC. He obviously doesn’t get that fans like to see couples last for more than a few months at a time. Give us at least 6 good months. Even though Liason kept their relationship a secret for the most part before, they were together for almost 2 years. I want those kind of stories back. RC makes my head hurt he bounces around so much.
I love this and Rebecca Herbst!!! I hope they give Jason and Liz a shot this go round. Sam can be with Patrick!!! I hope they DO NOT repair Ric and Liz, that ship has sailed!!! And Nikolas can have that bitch, Britt!!!!
Every one of Liz’s love stories have been one big Tease! Liason, Niz and now Liason again… I am sure Liz will once again just be a stand-in until another woman wins her man.
Awwwww, Kelly. I had no idea Liz had such bad luck with guys/love. But, I like to see her and Jason together, in due time….no rush. Rebecca/Elizabeth is the most beautiful woman on GH and one of the most beautiful women on daytime. Her skin is flawless…peaches ‘n cream and all that good stuff.
The thing is, in soaps, everyone is always paired up with someone. And, if not, someone is always jumping in the sac with someone else without waiting a minute. Look at Sam and Patrick. Sam couldn’t even stick to her guns of stepping back into celibacy for how long? Didn’t she tell Patrick it wasn’t a good idea for them to do it…she needed time? Did I imagine that?
I’ve always admired RH’s china doll beauty, too, CeeCee.. as Elizabeth, she is a true “Steel Magnolia”….so delicate and demure on the outside, yet strong and determined on the inside… she has endured the toughest trials and tribulations, yet still prevailed no matter the obstacles. It has pained me to so often see such a lovely lass face life on the lonely…more as a rule than the exception. I had very high hopes for this luminous lady’s relationship with AJ, and even now maintain that she would have been an excellent partner for Patrick when he initially thought that Robin had perished in that GH fire. (Her romantic entanglements with Prince Nicky and Ric were not as personally satisfying for me……) Furthermore, I love the way RH portrays such a loving and supportive mother…she really is great with her boys….even if she does have to leave them with Audrey most of the time…LOL!!! What I like best about “Liz” is that she is actually one of those “good” characters that is not one-dimensional perfect (i.e., “boring”)…she gets angry, does naughty things on occasion and doesn’t act as if she is never wrong….she is the first to admit she has flaws and has made many mistakes in the past, then owns up to them. While I am not completely sold on Liz being nuJason’s “endgame,” I am gratified to see the actress portraying her getting some well-earned time in the spotlight….her talent has been squandered far too much propping up other less-deserving players…(Gee, now to whom could I be referring???? Hmmmmm….) At any rate, I am looking forward to RH’s future scenes with BM…so far, so good!!!!!
Well, Kelly. Not every one. Lizzy and Lucky were dear things of beauty when they first fell in love. She was never able to replicate her first love which is indicative of real life. It was just all too brief.

After not watching GH for a very long time, I’m back for Billy Miller! Love that actor, and I can’t wait to watch him now!
Now if we can only get Stephen Nichols back. I miss Ingo too. Those two both definitely need entirely new romances! 🙂

I really hope that Liason will get a chance to have a relationship! I’ve been a GH fan for a long time and this couple has been my favorite of all the pairings over the years. I love their relationship as friends and as more than friends. So far I’m loving the scenes between Billy and Becky. They seem to have chemistry together and I’m hoping that it’s enough to compel RC to write for them.

Been there done that with Liz and Jason. Their ship has sunk a long time ago. Time for Liz to move on from her exes and be with someone new like Silas.

I’m hoping that Liz and “jake” get a fair chance to prove their obvious chemistry, so far i like what i’m seeing with nujason having memories of liz and baby jake. I can take or leave Liz. Hated Jason Morgan. That said, I like Billy Miller and Becky Herbst. Hope they get a great storyline. If it is we’ll-written I’ll want to watch.

Saw some signs of life in Silas and didn’t FF through Sabrina (welcome back, Carlos). Progress. GH has been really good lately (Samtrick aside) IMO.
I am hopeful that this signals a nice storyline for Elizabeth and Jason. Rebecca Herbst is one of the bright lights at GH, playing one of the few characters I enjoy.
To make things even brighter, let’s have Jason NOT remember Sonny or Carly. They’ve caused enough damage to Jason already…
I already had one foot on the ship even before Billy Miller started. From what I’ve seen with Liz and Jason, I am fully on board with this couple. I’ve given them a new squish name in honor of NuJason, Jasabeth! lol Elizabeth has always been one of my favorites and a bright light to GH. I just hope they give her a decent storyline. She is overdue for one.
I have always like jason and liz it was always frustrating to see how their story line turned out. They have so much history. I don’t know if its just my memory or is liz the one always there to nurse Jason back to health and Jason is always saving liz in more then one way. They are good together. Fingers crossed that they get there chance. I have always thought a Patrick/Sam combo would be good. I hope they do it justice. Liz does deserve a good story line and a chance for a little bit of a real romance the only one shes ever really had was with lucky. Because Ric was crazy and that ended with Carly chained to a wall. Hated Liz with Ric. I did like her with Nic alot but they never let that play out and I’m just disgusted with the way its turned out they could of let them be together for a little bit but they never did. Lets hope the writers do better this time around. Oh yay and I love Maxie with Nathan!
Rebecca is such a phenomenal actress, and embodies Elizabeth so flawlessly, I enjoy her every moment onscreen, no matter what the character is up to. That said, I’d be THRILLED if the writer were to revisit Liason. Their angsty friendship-to-more journey was one of my favourite ongoing story lines on GH and I’m happy that Jason’s return story is paying tribute to the significance of that relationship to both of them. I have to admit that I’m afraid to be too hopeful, though. This head writer doesn’t seem to value classic soap romances. I get the feeling he sees them as necessary evils, so doesn’t nurture them the way some other writers do. (The way he’s toyed with Niz, the other Liz pairing I love, boggles my mind.) Regardless, I’ll be watching with fingers crossed. I’m a devoted fan of Elizabeth, and loved Billy/Villy on Y&R, and am excited about what Rebecca and Billy will bring to nuLiason. Even if it stays in the special friends-only zone, I think I’ll be a happy viewer.
GH is so annoying at this point! Gh brings a new Jason Morgan back but I’m fact he really isn’t Jason Morgan becasue he has a “new face” which no one on Gh will be able to recognize and he has memory loss! OMG what was the point of bringing “Jason Back” when in fact he is NOT Jason, literally! You can’t bring a character back and have him replaced with someone else just for them not to be the character! At first I wasn’t happy with someone new being Jason! I much rather he stay off the show then to bring him back! But I got use to the idea. He finally comes back and he can’t even be Jason because he can’t remember he’s Jason and he has a new face! What the heck, so frustrating! Please get it together! I don’t want Liz to be with the new Jason, not so much Jason character! He has a wife and a son, that he can’t even remember he has! This storyline is getting out of hand. Fix it! And the annoying part is, I’m pretty sure the way this show is set up, those so called “Jason finger prints” will in fact not be Jason’s -_- some how some way! So this mystery of Jason is not actually a mystery he’ll never be Jason with this new face and this ridiculous memory loss! At least with a new person playing Jason you would think at least GH would allow this new character to remember he is Jason. He can have a new face and all that but let him remember who he is!
I am over the moon that the writers have re-introduced Jason to the canvas this way. It allows Billy Miller to make the part his own immediately. I was never much of a Jason fan, but I love how Jason-as-Jake and Elizabeth have developed this special little connection. Today they were both protective of each other, and so curious about one another, that I found them utterly adorable. I know eventually the other shoe will drop, but for now I will enjoy what’s there. I hope the writers give them time to play out a full-fledged romance before he is revealed as Jason. Billy Miller and Rebecca Herbst have such an easy rapport… I really like the ‘chemistry’.
I have always been a jason/sam fan and liz/lucky or liz/nik. I Love RH and KM and their characters and still get frustrated when fans fight over them especially since I never saw why anyone would ever want Jason Morgan the hitman with liz, the delicate and oftentimes confused, angel. That being said, with Steve gone and with the new Jason having no memory of his life, the paths to take this character are endless and I’ve found myself curious to see what a Liz/Jason pairing would look like. Who knows, maybe I will finally get to see and understand why so many fans have such a love for them. Or, maybe I’ll stick to my old pairings. Personally, I wish billy would have been brought as a new character that can be paired with liz without any restraint. As a liz fan, I want to see her go down a new road with a new guy who would bout her first like lucky once did. No character needs or deserves that more. Instead, she is always paired with the men who are attached to someone else. With Jason, she would have to fight for his attention with Sam, Danny, Carly, sonny, etc. that’s not a role I can see or want liz to be in. Now, if he can let go of that completely and just be Jason quartermaine as he was in the liason fantasy we got when he went into surgery, then that will be one thing….I just see that long term for his character.
These are some great points, Wlin. I am readying myself for this to be very temporary for Elizabeth, because I do believe these writers believe Jason and Sam should be together. I too think it’s more than time for a long-term pairing for Elizabeth. Part of me believes once Jake is revealed to be Jason, and Nikolas realizes how Britt manipulated him once again, Elizabeth and Nikolas will circle back to one another.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Carly and Lulu Make Plans to Rescue Their Children; Anna Looks Determined to Secure Her Freedom
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, the race is on! Can Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get to Rocco (Finn Carr) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in time to ensure their safety from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)? Can Carly (Laura Wright) with the help of her brother, Lucas (Van Hansis) rescue Josslyn (Eden McCoy) from captivity at Wyndemere? These questions may be answered, plus the return of the one and only Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are on tap!
In the just released General Hospital spoilers video for the week of June 22-26, Lulu tells her mother, Laura (Genie Francis), “Dante and I have to get to Rocco before Cullum!” Meanwhile, Rocco (Finn Carr) looks angered and emotional as Britt walks through their cabin hideout. Does Rocco know his parents are on the way to find them, or has Cullum already tracked them down to the British Virgin Islands?
Back in Port Charles, Carly is informing Lucas that his niece, “is a WSB agent.” She knows Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is being held against her will at Wyndemere, and she has to find a way to get her out. Lucas agrees with Carly’s plan of, “We go in and we don’t leave without Josslyn!” Elsewhere, Josslyn is looking worried for her future as she is stuck in captivity thanks to Cassius, Cullum and Sidwell!

FINOLA HUGHES RETURNS
The final moments of the teaser promo reveal Anna in a psychiatric clinic in France. We have not seen her for months after Cullum, Sidwell and Pascal fed her hallucinogenics to make her believe her arch nemesis, Cesar Faison was alive!
Now, the doctors walk towards her hospital bed, where we see the super spy calmly knitting. Is Anna back to normal and playing everyone to get out of her predicament, or does she still remain deeply traumatized … or both?

Maurice Benard Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’ Writers; Teases Upcoming Sonny Scenes with Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric
With the highly-anticipated returns of Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) on this week’s June 24 episode of General Hospital, Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan) upcoming return on July 13, which also serves as the ABC daytime drama’s 16,000 episode, things are about to fire on all cylinders in the story, as noted today by series star, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).
On Father’s Day, the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor and mental health activist took to his Instagram and expressed in a video that he has some unbelievable upcoming senes with the aforementioned Burton and Hughes. Add to that Nazneen Contractor (Justine Turner) and Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing), where Benard gave credit where credit is due to the GH writing team, which is led by co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten..
In this video, Benard said, “I just want to get on here and say that I did some work with Steve Burton, Finola Hughes, Rick Hearst, Nazneen Contractor, and they’re all just fantastic. Truly fantastic. But, I want to say the writing was just exceptional. It truly was. It was exceptional. So, thankful for that kind of writing. I know writers don’t get the credit a lot, but I just want to say to the General Hospital writing team, keep rolling!”

So now the question becomes, with a major tease like that, what is about to go down between Sonny, Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric? Will we finally get to the end of the line for Sidwell (Carlo Rota), as previously teased by the GH co-head writers? Will we learn what happened to Jason and Anna, fully? Will Justine and Sonny becomes closer or stop their liaisons? And what of Ric? Will he be true blue to his brother or double-cross him? There is a lot at stake as we move further into the summer and one that looks like it could be one of the more exciting ones in years!
FINOLA HUGHES CONFIRMED AMAZING SCENES WITH MAURICE BENARD
As a punctuation point to his video, Benard also shared this written message in the post: “I just did some wonderful scenes with Steve Burton, Rick Hearst, Finola Hughes and Nazneen Contractor and and unbelievable writing, freaking amazing scenes that you will see in the near future on General Hospital.” In fact, Finola Hughes jumped in the post comment thread and responded, “I loved our scenes so much xxx”
Fans will most likely see all the scenes Benard referred to later in July, since GH tapes approximately six weeks ahead of air.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Announces Upcoming Release of His First Single, ‘If You Need Me’
In a surprise move, Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos, GH) is getting ready to unveil a new chapter of his career in music.
The former GH star, where he played the son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) for 15 years, has announced his new single, “If You Need Me” will drop on Friday, June 26. The single is now available for pre-order on Spotify and major music streaming platforms and is distributed by DistroKid.
Taking to his Instagram story over the weekend, to announce the pre-save of his new single, Chad expressed, “I’ll make a full post about what I’ve been up to and my music once it goes live next week, but you can pre-save my first single so it goes straight to your Spotify once it drops next week.”

SINCE LEAVING GENERAL HOSPITAL
Previously, since his departure from the ABC soap opera. Chad starred alongside Zach Mendez in the world premiere of of Yum Yum at Annapolis, a new play written by Bruce Reisman. Duell last appeared on General Hospital on the January 21, 2025 episode.
The part was recast with Rory Gibson who debuted as the new Michael in May of 2025 during the Nurses’ Ball episodes and who has remained in the role since that time.
In an interview earlier this year on The Able Show, Duell said on his decision to exit the soap opera, “I was blessed to be part of that (show) for as long as I have, but what happens sometimes is if you’re doing the same thing, especially in a creative field for such a long time, you can get a little burnt out in a way. It can make you a little depressed, so that’s kind of what happened. On top of that, I had other things going on in my life at the time. My father passed away recently and I just needed a reset. So, I stepped away. A lot of times you have to go through some stuff to really step into that next level. I needed to kind of feel uncomfortable.”
