Next Week On Y&R: Will Kevin Be Proved To Be Bella's Father? Is Summer Preggers?

Courtesy/CBS
The latest promo from CBS Daytime has two dramas surrounding children on the way, potentially. First, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) who finally learned that his ex Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had a little girl during her time away from Genoa City wants answers!
Is he the baby daddy, although Chloe insists he is not? Will the DNA paternity results Stitch (Sean Carrigan) delivers be a surprise move by Y&R, or will it be as viewers have believed from the beginning (of Chloe’s last exit storyline) that she had Billy’s (Jason Thompson) baby girl?
Meanwhile, the way this promo is cut together it clearly looks like Summer Newman (Hunter King) could be preganant, which would make Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) a grandmother for the second time, and Luca (Miles Gaston Villuneuva) the father? What will happen if that all proves true?
Elsewhere, Billy and Phyllis can’t keep their hands off of each other even in a public elevator, and Phyllis sends a clear message to her lover about that, and just what is the camping trip all about with Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Sharon (Sharon Case), Dylan (Steve Burton) and Faith (Alyia Alyn Lind)?
Watch the promo from CBS Daytime after the jump, and then let us know how you think next week’s front burning stories will play out in the comment section below!
Yes, pregnancy is the answer in any soap. This is 2016 not 1950. Doesn’t anyone use birth control? Summer and Luca hold no interest for me. They can both go back to Spain and I would be a happy camper. Sully will get injured or get some disease and have to have blood, which of course neither parent will be able to provide. This show is so predictable. Doesn’t anyone there have any more creativity other than recycling the same stories over and over. Everyone in that town has slept together. The should rename the city sexao city. Boring.
You’re preaching to the choir, RCraig!!
Meandering, convoluted and predictable – welcome to Pratt’s “Y & R”, where every storyline sucks the big one!!
In response to your comment about Sully, I hope they don’t intend to go for the eye situation yet again. Don’t forget, Adam was the sperm donor.
I thought that Hunter King was going to be recurring. If she’s pregnant, wouldn’t that mean a front burner story for her?
Yet again.
Phyllis is already a grandmother via Daniel – did the writers forget that ?
Right on, rcraig….you said it.
As far as Kevin being the father? I don’t know. What was that packet in Chloe’s purse with Billy’s name on it. I just assumed it was Billy’s semen which she stole from the sperm bank?
She slept with Billy first, then stole the semen, just in case.
But, she also slept with Kevin. Perhaps that peek into her purse was to ‘confuse’ us? How infantile!!!!
No drama.
CeeCee I thought she didn’t sleep with Billy. I know she went over to his place while he was with the kids & Victoria was out but didn’t she ask him to let her get pregnant again and he refused so she went to the sperm bank, stole Billy’s sperm and slept with Kevin. She wanted to try and get another Delia so she probably took something not to get pregnant by Kevin, since Billy was Delia’s dad. Is that not how I went down? Oh my dear friend this is confusing.
You are right, Nikki. I think Billy refused? I can never keep SILLY events straight. LOL.
I really really really dislike ” baby drama ..
1( it will be an Abbott baby, without a doubt.
2( there will be the boring fight for custody case, claiming Chloe crazy and unfit.
3( it is same old junk . Been there done that 100000000 times using a baby as a tool for baby drama ..
I don’t know how Summer can be pregnant if Ms. King is going to recurring status, but who knows. My hope is that Bella is Kevin’s ONLY if Chloe is out of the picture. She doesn’t appreciate him, never really did, and he is actually the more stable of the two now (who knew?) And I hope Billy doesn’t have yet another child he can be a lousy role model to. This MIGHT turn out to be interesting provided we don’t have ANOTHER switched DNA test.
I hope they don’t play what I call the Sharon card again. This show is way overdone with baby switching stories. Your right about Billy. He has enough on his plate for now. He doesn’t need anymore kids to ignore. I to am pulling for Kevin to be the father. In doing so the baby will get the love and respct it deserves
Why we needed to bring Chloe back I do not know yet we can’t write decent story for Lauren or Ashley gosh these ladies helped the ratings for years! This is not the Victor Newman show hell EB even is convinced it’s all about him! Ugh!
Good question Kay. I hope it’s partly to bring Adam’s innocence about having run Delia over to the fore.
Perhaps, it is time for this idiotic story to end, once and for all. Chloe is obviously still insane. The difference? She has now matriculated to “controlled insanity”.
I am ecstatic that Katherine’s namesake has returned! October 2015: Out of 22 episodes dealing with Delia’s Death & Adam’s Acquittal, Chloe was in 5. (Adam 18; Billy 15; Kevin 12; Victoria 14; Esther 6; Jill 3; and Chelsea 19). In this courtroom, Chancellor mansion was not well represented.
I would like to know why Chloe was marginalized to not even sit in the courtroom. Is this a case of class distinction? The daughter of the maid not being good enough to attend the proceedings. No wonder Chloe was given the name of Kate at birth. This actor has worked with the great Jeanne Cooper. She is welcomed back in my book.
Unless Adam was to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole, agreeing to serve 30 years is ridiculous. The “trial of the century” resulted in an acquittal. Time was served for another offense. Y&R writers handed Michael Muhney the mantel and he was gold.
Billy is partially responsible for Delia’s death. The seduction should have been on his part for his overwhelmingly guilt. Believable storylines are needed across the board for all characters – whether we like one or dislike another. Destroying Chloe to justify naming an Abbott/Newman child Katherine is just wrong. The old Billy respected all things Katherine Chancellor because he couldn’t pull a fast one over her eyes.
@Lillian.
Lillian, I have been chanting this litany ad nauseam. The idea that TPTB ‘adjust’ situations on all soaps, definitely borders on the incredible. Events are either patched up, repaired or veer in another direction completely……done to fit their needs without a consolation prize for the viewer.
Thank you very much, Lillian, for stating that nuBilly’s persona is unrecognizable; …….his makeup has taken a drastically new, dangerously destructive hue. Billy had started to change…was on the mend. He was in a happier place. He is now ruined to the point of no return, in my opinion.
And Phyllis? What can I say? “They” have turned this couple into children playing with mud. If the “biggies” are going to make this young woman into a grandmother….forgive me, but have her act like one. I am not saying cross her legs and recite her last rites, by any means…..but, give her brain a dose of good sense.
What is it? The forbidden fruit syndrome?
Many find the porcine behavior titillating. I do not consider myself a prude, but, I draw the line with this coupling…..gross and unappealing to the senses.
I have always maintained that Billy was completely responsible for Delia’s death. No direct details show that Adam did anything wrong because he did not “kill” Delia. All he saw was a dog.
Someone else was on that road.
And, of course, Lillian….as you say; guilt plays a major part. I can understand that. But to continuously change the facade of all things plausible is hard to digest, at this ‘overworked’ point.
TPTB take liberties left and right. Yes, that’s fine, it’s a soap….one does invent a certain amount of unreality to create drama, suspense, mystery….but, to distort the picture altogether is sinful.
Believable stories!!!!! Absolutely correct. These soaps are thirsty for a satisfying scenario to quench our thirst.
Thank you, Celia. I agree completely.
You are welcome, Abruzzfan.
They blew Ashley’s chance for a wonderful story when Nevell left last week. As I said below they wasted the talents of two wonderful soap vets by not furthering the story with Ashley and Nevell. And I am in agreement with everyone else, get rid if Luca and Summer, and a bring Michael and Lauren back out of “retirement” and back front and center where they belong. So much wonderful talent is being wasted its not even funny
Phyllis is already a grandmother….through Daniel.
GR has not had any chemistry with anyone since the character of Jana
I agree. They were great together.
Greg Rikaart had the best chemistry with Jana Hawkes.
I had completely forgotten about her. Even though she was a crazed psychopath, I thought they made a cute couple.
Please no dubious parentages! I am so tired of the storyline, especially on Y&R.
Uh, Summer ‘pregnant’?!?!? EWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Summer is W-A-Y TOO ANNOYING ALREADY!!!!!!!!!! Oh…and BTW, when in the H-E-L-L is that Hunter King chick going on ‘recurring’?!?!?!?!?!
GIMME A BREAK ALREADY!!!!!!!!!
Lol, Jay. You don’t know how close to the truth you are. My sister drove everyone nuts with both her pregnancies.
I think Phyllis is pregnant . Who ‘da’ baby daddy?
Celia…the L-A-S-T thing that I wanna watch is Phyllis being pregnant for nine months…YUCK!!!!!!!!!! No Thank You. N-e-x-t……….
Take care, friend.
@jaybird369.
Oh, I agree, jay. But, pregnancies on soaps only last a couple of months or so….LOL
She is annoying, and so is Abby-ugh!
I know, dmr.
I am hot and cold with Abby. She is acting very needy thus far. I can’t take any woman who goes to pieces over a guy, including an ‘iffy’ husband, who seems to hold all the cards. Yucky guy.
I think Abby has felt so self-absorbed in the past and has tried to become
more compassionate to others to be a better person. But she has gone too
far! She is too understanding, so accomodating, and yes, needy, too. It is
too much. A better balance is needed, in my opinion.
I hope Chloe doesn’t get into the hospital lab and play around with the results. She was able to break in once before to steal that vile of Billy’s sperm. Although I think she really has nothing to lose by sticking to her story of some random guy she met. I love the scenes and the stories they’ve been giving us with Sharon, Mariah & Dylan. I think they make such a cute family and I’m happy to see the writers bring Sharon & Mariah closer together. As for Summer I’m just sick of seeing her every day on every episode. Happy to see Jill back now maybe we can get that awful looking mansion back to it’s original beauty.
I agree with you on all counts, Nikki. The only black cloud on the horizon is waiting for the Sully/Christian explosion to happen, ruining that familial bliss Sharon and Company are enjoying. Sad!!.
Yes CeeCee your right which is too bad. I love seeing Sharon & Mariah’s relationship blossom the way it’s going. I imagine it will blow up a lot of relationships Nick will believe it’s his and when Adam finds out that the baby Sage had is alive what will he do for that matter what will Chelsea do. Do you remember at the ball before the fire in Newman towers she wanted another baby and he didn’t. OMG I don’t even want to think of what will come out of this.
Why would Billy’s sperm be at the hospital? Dos Genoa City hospital have a “cyrobank” aka sperm bank? What health problem does Billy have that we don’t know about?
I keep asking myself that question, Lillian. I cannot remember why. He must have stored it when Victoria could not conceive at some point. I guess it would be safe to say Victoria would eventually be artificially insemenated?
Bella could be either Billy’s or Kevin’s. I don’t think Chloe even knows.
h Lillian, you got me there. I remember seeing a few nurses & doctors running around but it may very well of been a sperm back. Maybe one attached to the hospital but on the other hand maybe he does have other health problems. I was always wondering why he used the sperm back to begin with. If I remember correctly Victoria was the one who couldn’t get pregnant, but if my memory serves me correctly Jack used it too at one time because when Diane stole the sperm thinking it was Victor’s it was really Jacks and that’s where Kyle comes from. Ashley had already stolen it and went on a cruise & used it to get pregnant with Abby. Good grief saying it out loud made me laugh. They need to put that department under lock & key & maybe a security guard.
I know, Nikki. It will be a nightmare for everyone involved. Unless TPTP sweep it under the rug and drag it out until who knows when. It’s a time-bomb waiting to go off.
@Nikki.
You are now cracking me up, Nikki. How many more sperm thefts have there been? LOL. Crazy!!!!!
The reality is, it’s not that simple conceiving this way. Golly Gee, ‘they’ make it look so easy….child’s play almost.
Celia I couldn’t help but laugh as I re-read what I wrote or typed. In Genoa city it’s like ( I’ll buy the groceries Monday, do the house cleaning Tuesday, bring some clothes to the cleaners Wednesday, Steal some sperm Thursday, have an extra long weekend and come back Monday pregnant.) Can you just imagine these kids having a coffee together! (Summer… I was born in an elevator & Sharon swapped paternity so Jack would be my dad instead of Nick who is my real dad, Kyle really my mom broke into the sperm bank and stole Jack’s sperm thinking it was Victor’s even though it has the name clearly on the vile, Abby oh wow I always thought Brad Carlton was my dad but my mom stole the real vile of Victor’s sperm and got pregnant she told me the truth when she thought she was dying, Faith I was Ashley’s kid until they found out Adam pretended my mom had a miscarriage and gave me to Ashley pretending I was her’s. OMG This is just too funny.
Cracking up here, Nikki. Sounds like a page from the everyday, regular life of a Stepford Wife.
What’s next? Extract an egg from one of the women; fertilize it in a petrie dish. Place it in a cocoon/womb-like contraption. Carefully put it in an incubator and watch it grow and hatch.
LOL. Would not shock me in the least, Nikki.
Hey, Nikki…
I don’t think semen is kept in a vial, is it? That thing in Chloe’s purse looked like a packet, of sorts….almost like a new contact lens container.
I’m not sure Celia. I do remember when Ashley stole Victor’s sperm she put it in a large container with ice so I know it has to be kept at a certain temperature. Now Chloe & her purse maybe she was waiting until she got home to put it in something with ice or ha ha maybe Billy’s (being younger) doesn’t need ice. Oh my I’m having too much fun with this one.
That kid Bella is so cute!
She is the cutest, April. I wonder if there’s any relation to Sophie Pollono (Delia)….the resemblance is striking!!
can t complain….
chloe and especially jill s return have been much needed….
y n r s been firing on all cylinders…
billy and phyliss s affair has hit a climax
y n rs been cant miss lately
I am enjoying Chloe being back, but want to see her and little Bella out of
that motel soon. Looks raggedy there. Hope Kevin is Bella’s dad, but to
have that reveal happen as early as next week seems unlikely! But would
love to know that soon!
This show is so off-track – more plot-driven garbage – Pratt doesn’t have a creative bone in his body!!
Wake me when this drek goes to the wayside – I hope the ratings continue their downward spiral – Pratt needs to go!!
so correct!
Why has there been no mention of the fact that Michael Knight has left the building?
He was truly wasted and then just thrown away —very disappointing. He deserves better.
That is Pratt at his best look at how they treated Cady his leading lady from AMC. You can change producers until the cows come home but until you get a head writer who respects the show and knows the show or at least cares to find out it is not going to improve. I watched five episodes that my sister had taped when I was at her house and nobody is acting like the character I use to watch. Very disappointing
Harry…As did Kady McClain/kelly/Dixie.
Yes, Rose. I had speculated way back how thrilling it would have been for Cady and Michael to be back on stage together. TPTB failed miserably with both of these superstars. That’s what they are to me….the ultimate performers!!!!! Shame, shame , shame….
I totally agree with you. The powers that be really wasted the talents of two wonderful soap vets by not letting Ashley and Nevell take their mutual respect and friendship further. His so called big “sendoff” was a final chat on the back patio of the coffee shop. They shared their mutual repect for each other, Nevell put the blame on himself for the failure of the project, and of course Ashley told him that was not case because of what he did for her. They shook hands across the table, Ashley told him she considered him a loved and respected friend and always would, and they both stood up a just before he leaves, Ashley walks over to Nevell, takes his face in her hands and kisses him full on the mouth. Nevell leaves out the back door, and another wonderful soap opera vet bites the dust. Sory about the novel. I got caught up in the moment!
Oh your so right Harry. I was hoping for a romance between Ashley & him. They we’re so cute together but I don’t think they read these comments or we wouldn’t be seeing that blasted Summer in every episode. JMO
that goodbye was so sweet… loved when ashley cool and calmly sat down while neville explained his reason for leaving… the scene was subtle and eileen and michael played the hell out of it like pro s!!!
….hoping they reunite sooner than later!!
Harry – I completely agree. What a waste. I thought that he had good chemistry with Ashley. Sigh!
Billy is the dad!
Glummer and Puka parents? Ugh!
New Phyllis has NO sex appeal! Stafford sizzled!
Camping trip. Perhaps a bear attack where Dylan will arrest the bear and question him about Adam’s innocence!
No sex appeal. Thanks, Timmmy. Coming from a man holds more substance than coming from ‘lil ole moi’. In my opinion, neither does this Billy. So, put them together, what ‘d’ya’ get? Ennui.
If I don’t get goosebumps, then the ‘scene’ flatlines. TaTa, my Timmmy.
I only have to say that I think “Bella” is such a generic name. It is reminiscent of the TWILIGHT movies. They were so clever with the name “Cordelia” and all they could come up this time was boring, done-to-death, “Bella?” Bella was a popular baby name AND pet name a few years back. Surely they could have dug deeper for something more original. 🙁
Bella maybe a way to pay homage to the Bells.
Belle would have sounded better and a little different.
Bella was named for the Bell family.
Hi Chrystie,
“Bella” means “beautiful”. Maybe the word/name means something special to Chloe. Could “beautiful” have been the word Chloe uttered when she saw her baby daughter for the first time?
Your answer made me smile, meg. Is it true? That’s cute and innovative.
That is sweet. I’m surprised her name isnt Erica! [Eric Braeden!]
I like the name.
This upcoming week looks very fun and enjoyable; I cannot wait to see the drama continue to unravel within Genoa City!! On-top of its game right now! #TeamCBS #TeamYR
JESS WALTON IS SAVING THE SHOW………HER SCENES REMIND US OF THE DAYS OF HER AND KATHERINE AND SOME REAL STORIES…
THE CHLOE/VICTOR MESS COULD END RIGHT NOW AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED……HOW MANY TIMES DO THEY THINK A FAITHFUL VIEWER CAN SEE THE SAME OLD….SAME OLD??
I was commenting since May that Jill was desperately needed back. I am hoping that since they are re doing the houe to her liking, that they intend to make her stay a lengthy one. Jill is connected to so many people who have some key stories now, that if the writers take the time to think things could start to get interesting. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back Tristan Rogers. If there is a salary issue keeping him back, I say get rid of Stitch and Luca. To me they are nothing but useless dead weight anyway. And and anyway, who could argue about getting rid of 2 useless actors for the price of one good one. Especially one w ith a delicious Australian accent!!!
I am really hoping that Kevin is Daddy Dearest. To me Greg Rikkart is having his talent wasted by being everybody’s lapdog/computer hacker. Let the get rid of Stitch like they should have done way back when his sister died. I don’t understand why a big deal is being made about Phyllis being a grandmother when Daniel’s daughter must be at least 6 or 7 by now. (Or considering the way they age kids in soap opera land, she’s probably graduated HS already). And of course, now that Phyllis and Billy are sharing office space, we are probably goig to see them spending their so called work days hiding in every storage room, closet and elevator going at it like dogs in heat. And in agreement with the above Hunter King comments, why are they having Victor offering Summer a job, plus extra training, plus possibly being “preggers”, if she was supposed to be down grading her staus? That just screams more air time for me. Maybe if we’re lucky Luca will turn tail and run if she is “preggers”. At least that will get rid of one useless character. As for Sharon, she is really taking this “family thing to the hilt. And of she has to bring Mariah as her bodyguard in case their any unforseen circumstances wit Sully. This story is really grating on my last nerve. You know that either Sharon is finally going to crack, or of course Sully will get sick. If it is the case of Sully and sickness I just hope they don’t use the tired story with the eyes. Remember Adam is the biological father. And of course Victor is out of jail for all of ten minutes, and he is already lying to Nikki, and breaking into Chole’s hotel room and threatening her. So much for him being a “new man”. I am Victor hear me roar!
I hope Bella is Kevin’s.
Hope the “Summer Pregnant” BS is just that…BS!
I can barely tolerate her and her Bed-Buddy now. If she’s pregnant it will only get worse!
Please let her leave the show and devote herself to the Primetime show that I DON’T watch.
Zima A lot of us feel the same way about her but she just thinks we’re haters, & she’s wonderful. We keep losing people we love like Dr. Neville who would have been a great romance for Ashley. Bring back Ben’s mother. I’d like to know if she’s cleaned up her act, & does she know her daughter is dead or is she really dead? Now that would be an interesting story.
Are we waiting for Nick to finally prove Luca is behind the oil spill and thus get him out of the picture as he and Summer walk down the aisle (or at the justice of peace)? The writers continue to keep the character of Summer alive, why we don’t know. And to give an uneducated person a high position in a prestigious company continues to baffle logic. Disbelief is the common denominator throughout the program’s stories.
Chloe? I like the actress, but do we need “sharon #2” here?
About the only thing I found amusing was Faith’s ghost story of “Sheila and the baby-swapping.” Too bad Lauren wasn’t in an ear-shot of that one.
Also tiring of the “paparazzi” on everyone’s back.
Dancing with the Stars
ABC/Disney Upfronts: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 35 Adds ‘Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson, ‘The Bachelor’ Franchise Spin-Offs Not on Fall Schedule
On Tuesday, May 12 at the ABC/Disney Upfronts, there were several headlines coming out of it for the upcoming 2026-2027 television and streaming season.
First, Savannah Bananas second baseman Jackson Olson will be taking some swings on the ballroom dance floor when he joins other celebrities already locked in for Dancing with the Stars season 34.
Olson will join already confirmed reality stars: Maura Higgins (The Traitors and Love Island) and Ciara Miller (Summer House). The full cast list and their pro partners will be announced on September 2nd.

SAVANNAH BANANAS COME TO DISNEY+
The news of Olson who has also become a social media influencer, comes out of the Disney upfront that also revealed that Disney+ will become the exclusive home of the Banana Bowl streaming live this October, hence the tie-in.
The Banana Bowl will feature the top teams in the Banana Ball league facing off for the season championship. Known for blending athleticism with entertainment, the game will include one of the biggest performances the league has ever seen, bringing together all six teams, along with its signature on-field showmanship.
NO BACHELOR FRANCHISE THIS FALL
Meanwhile, ABC revealed that a new season for the troubled The Bachelor franchise offshoots is not on the fall schedule where they usual place: The Bachelorette, The Golden Bachelor or Golden Bachelortte are no where to be found. This is the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic that there will be no Bachelor-branded series on ABC’s fall schedule.

Photo: ABC
The Bachelor will return as usual in the midseason in 2027, Grant Ellis was the lead as the man looking for love and vying for a woman’s heart in 2025.
All this, amid the turmoil surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette being pulled and currently never seeing the light of day after the domestic violence surfaced with her throwing a chair towards the direction of her child, while she got into a melee with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Ari Goldman, SVP, Content Strategy and Scheduling said of removing The Bachelor from the new season ABC lineup, “We’ve had to take a look at just managing the franchise properly. These shows have enormous fan bases, and we were so thrilled the year that we were able to launch Golden Bachelor and have it stand out in that fall season the way that it did. But I think that the usual cadence that we like to find ourselves in is really the flagship series in midseason and then having some summer edition, which we have already locked in on Bachelor of Paradise for next season. So this is more of a return to a steady state on the franchise.”
So, what do you think about Jackson Olson from the Savannah Bananas joining the new season of Dancing with the Stars? Do you like how the show is making efforts to cast social media influencers and talents with a mass number of followers to draw eyeballs to the reality-competition series? Meanwhile, are you for or against even The Bachelor coming back in 2027, or do you think its time to rest the entire concept all of its spin-offs for good? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
