One Life to Live’s Josh Kelly (Cutter) has landed a new gig! The talented and sexy actor will co-star in a new television pilot for Lifetime, the same cabler that brought us Devious Maids!

According to Deadline.com just a bit ago, “Josh is set to co-star opposite Shiri Appleby in Lifetime’s drama pilot Unreal inspired by Sarah Gertrude Shapiro’s award-winning independent short Sequin Raze. Marti Noxon and Shapiro wrote Unreal, which goes behind the scenes of a hit competition dating show to follow the experiences of Rachel (Appleby), a young staffer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with (and among) the contestants to heighten the drama. Kelly, will play Jeremy, a cameraman on the  dating show who also is Rachel’s ex-boyfriend. He previously did an arc on Lifetime’s Army Wives and just wrapped Universal’s Recon.”

So what do you think if Josh’s new role?  Would you like to see it go to series so we see more of Josh?  Comment below!

Does this mean he’s leaving “One Live to Live”?

yeah… just what I was thinking… have the OLTL actors been told to go get another job?

This means one life to live will not be back. it will be cancelled.

We don’t know that for sure yet..

If there is a God, he will never be back to bore us with his nightmarishly bad acting.

I never really cared for him either.

Can you blame him if he did leave…OLTL…imo…isnt coming back but even if it does what actor would want to wait for something that isnt confirmed when there are other acting opportunities out there…i hope the show comes back and all the actors return but if not ill continue to support some of the others still with us!

Jim, my sentiments exactly!!!! Just recently, I discussed this with my husband, and said, that while I would be sad to see any of the actors leave OLTL, I would not blame anyone involved with the show if they went and found other work, because the bottom line is, everyone has to do what is best for them, and not working is rarely ever good for anyone. I hope OLTL comes back (fingers crossed), because I truly do enjoy the show, and whether it does or not, I wish all of the actors, and all of those behind the scenes, much good luck.

The PP contracts have a clause that allows the actors to pursue other offers/projects.
Guess they just will have to double task .. (do both ..

Those contracts were only 1 year long and they are expiring soon. I doubt OLTL will be back. They haven’t even started production on AMC and according to “reliable sources,” that was to have started last month. The whole thing is just pathetic.

Good for him. He needs to work until OLTL comes back.

If OLTL doesn’t com back, I’d be happy to see him in something else. I DO want him on OLTL, (and I want the show back on the air pronto) but an actor’s got to go where the work is. I wish him all the best.

I don’t blame him for pursuing other avenues of the entertainment field. It would be nice if One Life to Live would return but with prospect part at the helm of the ship I too would make sure I had a Life Preserver on.
His role on OLTL isn’t terribly demanding, I think he’s fine in the role but it could easily be filled by a competent actor. This is assuming of course that the show even comes back, I think we are all hopeful that it will….

Josh seems like a great guy; very responsive with his fans on social media…so I wish him the best. We have no way of knowing if OLTL will be coming back and this might turn out to be a great opportunity for him. If OLTL does come back, and/or this Lifetime series gets picked up…I personally would like to see him on both…if it’s doable. Good luck Josh!

He can do both..
PP contracts allows them to pursue other projects while under contract with them..
How they work it out is not my business or problem LOL but they can also do other things/projects while with PP ..
I think he will be doing both .. 🙂

Same here… I enjoy him on OLTL, but understand he has to make a living, and who knows whether OLTL will return.

Wish him all the best, and just hope to see him somewhere soon.

I think we have seen the last of “One Live to Live”! I hope I am proven wrong.

Marti Noxon producing? Thats one step removed from Joss Whedon. Josh working with a Joss disciple? Swoon.

OLTL is gone for good. Time to move on. The actors know that. Now its time for the fans, myself included, to accept it.

He was never a favorite of mine at all on OLTL.. Didn’t care for his character…Couldn’t be trusted and was a bit of a low life. Sneaky..

Hes not a favorite of mine either, Hated him with Natalie, I agree with you Susan he was and is a low life.

good for him , ABC/PP pissing contest had destroyed any hope of OLTL to return all they wanted was AMC anyway

you know, if OLTL is gone for good, what is the point of the lawsuit, except to kiss your money goodbye! I mean what does it matter if a character died (off screen on GH, which we all know means they could always turn up alive!), cuz PP wasn’t using them and if OLTL is gone for good, PP won’t be using them…. so it seems moot.

With Prospect Park not issuing any statements, keeping everything completely shrouded in dark mystery, not communicating at all with fans, I am so sorry to say I too am doubtful that either OLTL or AMC will even be back. Not one actor from AMC has tweeted or released any comment about receiving a new script for a show that was supposedly set to go back “into production” for October 21st. I sincerely and honestly
hope that my feelings are wrong.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
