Well, we told ya first, that Crystal Chappell was hoping to find a way to get her Salem co-star Shawn Christian (Dr. Daniel, DAYS) into season two of Venice, and apparently, she found it! And, another huge surprise announcement is that Peter Reckell (Bo, DAYS) is also along for the ride in the upcoming season with a very unlikely role on the web sudser.

Here is the info from Crystal Chappell and Kim Turrisi on their Venice newsletter that was distributed.  “We are thrilled to announce that Days of Our Lives’ Peter Reckell will join the cast of Venice for Season 2. Reckell will also attend the fan gathering on July 10, 2010 at The Universal Sheraton in Universal City, CA.

In addition, Chappell tweeted more Venice news on Shawn Christian: “We’ve finished our script for season 2…pulling our crew together…and have some really wonderful actors back and new ones coming aboard.  You know Shawn Christian is onboard to figure out what happened to the Colonel…and to play with @hbsguya. She paid me for that BTW. My pal Peter Reckell is joining Venice this season in the most unlikely part…but that you’ll have to wait for!”
