After Sasha (Felisha Cooper) sashayed into town on The Bold and the Beautiful, viewers spelled trouble with a capital “T”.   Clearly attracted to Nicole’s (Reign Edwards) boyfriend Zende (Rome Flynn), and clearly going to to what she can to drive him away from his pregnant girlfriend,  Sasha had some connection to Julius Avant (Obba Babatunde), where she had been calling him, “Mr. Avant!”

In a pivotal moment on Monday’s episode of the CBS sudser, during a conversation with Julius where she tells him how much she likes Los Angeles, and the lives that Maya (Karla Mosley) and Nicole have built, Sasha wants to stay in town and plans to do so.

Julius is not too happy with this and tells Sasha to stay away from Zende, to protect Nicole, but soon Sasha’s claws come out and we learn the truth … Julius is hiding something major, and that is why he wants Sasha to head back to Chicago, or anywhere else.   Sasha is pissed off and tells “Mr. Avant, she will call him by his real name, “Daddy!”  Julius is worried now that his secret will be exposed!

Watch the final moments of Monday’s episode after the jump, then weigh-in.  What did you think of the reveal?  What are your thoughts thus far on Felisha Cooper in the role of Sasha? Comment below!

If you couldn’t see that one coming from a mile away, then you haven’t been watching soaps very long.

I have been watching soaps for over forty years and it didn’t even dawn of me that she was his daughter– I knew she had some secret about him, maybe saw him making out with a guy, or saw him fooling around with some young thing, or maybe he made a pass at her, but her being his daughter–nope didn’t see it coming. I wonder if as one ages your soap radar starts going, because I was totally surprised when she called him daddy- LOL

I’m with you, Mary SF. Been watching soaps since early 70’s and it didn’t dawn on me either. I was thinking she was a past lover of his, but not a daughter…until she kept emphasizing “Mr. Avant” just prior to the reveal. Not sure about the radar thing…sometimes it is right on, and then again sometimes not so much. (And I definitely am aging, so who knows…)

Yep, no surprise from day one. And doesn’t have anything in wardrobe that hangs lower than her butt?

I know! She’s wearing a shirt for a dress.

I knew she was either his daughter or his lover. I like the actress. She is doing a great job. I’m sure Julius has a world of excuses for this betrayal (affair).

Further propping for the dude who did the lopping. No thanks.

You have issues dude…

And why is this so earth shattering??? #yawn

I’m giving up B&B. Nothing to do with the newbie Sasha or Julius. Just too many “been there done that” storylines and not enough likable characters. Wish them well, though. They do have a beautiful cast and SOME very talented cast members. Too bad the writing is sub-par. I do like the 30 minute format, but not enough to keep watching.

Run as far and as fast as you can from B&B. Many viewers have said the same thing.

I GAVE UP…THIS WRITING NEEDS SOME REAL WORK AND SOME REAL STORIES.

The writing for B&B is horrible… retread stories that were anathema to his father. The show needs a new head writer or cancellation.

Yes, denisefan, viewers should run for their lives! B&B turns brains to mush!

At least it’s diverse though the stories could be somewhat better and that whole liam/?/wyatt throw in thomas and it’s just too much and too overdone..i’ve just wakened from my long Hope sleep only to be inundated with giggly childish Caroline.

First, i don’t know who or where those writers are that scripted the CaRidge and Raya drama when Rick and Caroline’s marriage was going down, but bring them BACK!

I was not surprised about Sasha or Aly or even the transgender storyline (everyone said I was nuts). But I don’t need shockers, just non-repetitous good scripts. Now we have the beginning of more triangles with the SFTV aiming at her sister’s husband AGAIN and the SFDU targeting her cousin’s fiancée. Oh, yeah another accident as the impetus and I’m lonely again. Can someone please find a better way to write for Brooke?

I’ve been taking a lot breaks this year and looks like I can sleep thru most of 2016 with BnB. Last year I was rewatching episodes again and again. Now I catch up mainly from the fans sites. Oh, I’m retired with nothing but time on my hands. I’ve watched soaps since they were broadcast live and before. I still remember the première episodes for AMC, GH and OLTL, Y&R but BnB is slowly losing me.

Gave up on B and B when Rick FORRESTER decided to actually MARRY a transgender woman. Nothing against transgender individuals, but this storyline was a little far-fetched for me. Been watching since the 70’s when there were two sisters…can’t remember their names but one , or both were in love with Victor. One of them played the piano…….in any event, was a long time BB viewer. GONE!!!!!!

Patrick Muldoon and Jennifer Taylor Cast as Mike Manning’s Conservative Parents on ‘The Bay’

The ever-expanding cast of the streaming soap opera, The Bay, has announced two new additions for its upcoming 9th season, including Days of our Lives favorite Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin Reed). TV fans also know Patrick Muldoon from his role as Richard Hart on Melrose Place.

In story, The Bay will bring Caleb McKinnon’s parents into the mix. Caleb is played by Daytime Emmy-winner and Outstanding Supporting Actor nominee this year, Mike Manning.

According to Deadline, Muldoon, along with Jennifer Taylor (Two and a Half Men), will play Caleb’s ultra-conservative parents. The casting news doesn’t stop there. Rhonda Ross has been tapped to play Colleen Givens, the biological mother of Pete Garrett’s (Kristos Andrews) wife Vivian (Karrueche Tran) in the new season.

Coleen is brought into the mix when Pete searches for Colleen after Vivian becomes ill. In the backstory, Colleen is a jazz singer who gave Vivian up for adoption at birth. Now she may be Vivian’s only hope to stay alive.

As to a little insight on her new role of Felicity in Salem, Garcia shared. “She is sweet, funny and kind. She is also very smart and she never misses anything. Most of all, she loves her family more than anything else. I think that viewers will love her and see the beauty she brings to everyone in her life.”

The actress added, “I hope that everyone will love Felicity and see that even though she has Down syndrome, she is cherished by her family and friends, she is capable of great things, and she’s a hard worker. I’m pretty sure she bakes better than I do. She is also a typical teenager who has real feelings and fears that people will see as her story goes on. I hope no one underestimates Felicity as a character, or actors with disabilities like me. Representation is so important and I’m so thankful for this opportunity to become Felicity and let you all get to know her, and me!”

Giovanni Mazza On Contract at General Hospital: What Are Your First Impressions?

This week, General Hospital introduced newcomer Giovanni Mazza in the role of Giovanni Palmieri, who apparently is Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) second cousin, one removed or so the story goes.

The character of Gio showed up at Brook Lynn’s wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and played the violin at the ceremony. As has been previously reported, Mazza in real-life is a professional violinist and actor.

Upon making his first appearance on the ABC daytime drama series back on May 15th, fans wondered if Gio will be sticking around and that was confirmed by the closing credits of the May 17th episode where Mazza’s name is included along with other contract players.

When the news of Mazza’s casting was announced, the talent young man took to his Instagram and shared the good news, expressing, “I am so honored, grateful, and ecstatic to announce the big news! The biggest thank you to General Hospital for bringing me.” He closed his sentiments with “So much love and joy to my new fam! YAY!!! ”

Commenting on his post included new castmates Evan Hofer (Dex) saying, “Happy to have you brother,” plus Tabyana Ali (Trina), Eden McCoy (Joss) and ABC executive Nathan Varni who said, “Congratulations! Welcome to GH!

During the May 17th episode, Gio had an exchange with Dex, where he mentioned that his father was in the military back in early 2000’s.  Previously, Gio revealed to Chase that his father died in the military when he was young. So this begs the question, who is Gio’s dad?

What were you first impressions of Giovanni Mazza in the role of Gio? Who do you think he might be romantically involved with and might be also related to other than the Cerullos? Comment below.
