Who Killed DAYS Andre? Name Your Prime Suspect!

Friday’s episode of Days of our Lives saw many threats made against Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), and eventually saw the guy left for dead!
It’s Abigail (Marci Miller) who finds her husband’s brother dead on the floor at DiMera Enterprises when we fade to black and are left with a major cliffhanger, and the beginning of a murder mystery, this time under the capable hands of DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati. Prior to his death, Andre revealed his double-crossing of both Gabi (Camila Banus) and Kate (Lauren Koslow), and both women were left not so happy.
In fact, Gabi threatened Andre, and we don’t know exactly what happened with Kate when she all of a suddenpledged her love to Andre, only to have him reveal his very sinister side to her, and what he has been up to.
Chad (Billy Flynn) is not happy with his brother whatsoever, and neither were Stefan (Tyler Christopher) and Vivian (Louise Sorel). She wanted to eliminate Andre. Meanwhile, Stefan called someone to possibly do an outside job on his brother. Anna (Leann Hunley) is quite a suspicious suspect too, because she has an ax to grind with Andre, because of the loss of the love her life, his twin brother, Tony.
So with the investigation about to begin, who do you think will be the prime suspect in Andre’s murder: Anna, Gabi, Kate, Chad, Abigail, Stefan, Vivian, or someone else? Weigh-in via the comment section below!

I always felt that when they brought Thaao back, he should have been playing Tony. I preferred Tony over Andre so i was disappointed when I learned Thaao was reprising Andre. Would be great if Tony was alive and kicking.
Let’s Correct it now. Thaao should be Tony, the charming, suave, debonair man about town with Anna by his side. Andre was never meant as more than a cartoon villain. Let’s not forget that he viciously stabbed and murdered 5 women in the 80’s. Then there was him as the Faux Killer of 2003. Finally, after years of captivity and abuse and identity swaps, Tony should be able to claim his place as head of DiMera! Now that Stefan O. has arrived, let him be the “bad” DiMera, but let Chad and Tony be the good guys! Every headwriter of DAYS gets sucked into the predictable, boring pattern of thinking that all DiMera’s have to be bad. WHY? Original writing is always better than repetitive copying. I’m not saying that Tony has to be lily white…of course he would resort o unscrupulous means to protect his loved ones, but let it be that instead of just random evil for the sake of evil. Villainy needs motivation, and without it, it is just pointless and unnecessary. I much prefer Chad as a straight up young hero of the show. Maybe it’s his innocent face, or smaller stature….when he makes threats and tries to be menacing, it makes me giggle. Let Chad and Abs be the feature couple on the show and be together. They are marquee and adorable!

All the clues are there. It’s ABIGAIL! Remember first and foremost that she is kooky. Then, remember the scene in the Gaby-Sheek offices between Gabi and Abby? While they were talking the camera specifically and purposefully showed us a coat and some wigs. There are three reason Abby did it: 1) Stefan hit on Gabby in front of her on purpose to make her jealous and she has secretly fallen for him. 2.) she walked in on chad and Gabi hugging (making her kray-kray come back) and 3.) when she confronted Andre he showed his true colors to her – there must’ve been some nasty stuff he said cuz she went black, left to get in diaguise then came back and killed him then blocked it out. Stefan will be the one to both protect her (hence the missing footage) and ultimately blackmail her into leaving Chad and being with him.
I said same theory. It was almost obvious from that same episode you talking about on Jan 17th. I rewatched it after today’s episode and confirmed my suspicions with the wigs. And also two different times they zoomed in on her coat and her badge. And roeshadowin* conversation about Vivian saying to Stefan she doesn’t think Abigail is fully well from mental breakdown and could snap anytime soon
Who cares? I’m glad Andre is gone. Days has way too many who-done-it stories, at least two a year.
I disagree. I am going to miss Andre. I hope and pray this does not mean that those fans who love Thaao Penghlis have not lost him on Days.
I love Thaao…..the culprit could be anyone… Vivian, Stefan, Anna, Kate, …even the one we hardly consider plausible, such as Abby.
We must remember that even those we do not suspect could be the culpable….such as Abby and Gabi……both have done the unthinkable, in the past.
So, I guess Gilles will be the attorney defending whomever….

Andre either faked his death, or the presumably dead Andre is actually Tony, who has been in-place of Andre for the past few months.
Andre took a page from Stefano’s playbook and has faked his own murder in order to wreck havoc on the “surviving” members of his family. If I’m right, he will soon be called Phoenix Junior or Phoenix II.
I agree with Boes…that strange “person” taking Anna’s picture….I thought that might be Tony as well. I loved the character of Andre, but let’s face it….I don’t think he was redeemable nor was he evil enough to take over for Stefano!!

It was Sister Mary Moira in the library with a candlestick after she announced that she was pregnant with his baby. She is sad because she gave up her virginity and celibacy for such a wicked wicked evil evil evil man. Go back to the church Sister, you have done something terrible. What will Susan and Kristen think? Actually I tend to go with the Anna theory. She is just whacky enough to take him on. And to join in the chorus of daytime angels singing this hymn: God Bless Ron Carlivati!! I am now singing a solo to rejoice in the renewal of DAYS. Praises be to Ron! Amen.
I think you need also to thank Sheri Anderson!! She wrote through the Glory DAYS of this show and had a hand in either creating or developing many of the characters on air today. Ron has admitted publicly that he doesn’t know the show’s history. Given that Rons last writing stint ended in complete disaster, with GH gutted and broken, I think here at DAYS he is being kept on a very tight leash by Sheri and Boss Corday. Ken wanted the qualities Ron brings to the show: creativity, outlandishness, umbrella plotting, shock value etc. But he NEEDED a writer / watchdog like Sheri who knows the history, understands the importance of the vets, plays family moments, and can keep things grounded. Except for the first few months, which were awful, I think this collaboration has WIN written all over it!!! It is classic DAYS!
I agree that since Ron Carlivati doesn’t know the show’s history he might rely on both Sheri Anderson and Ryan Quan who are his story consultants to keep him grounded and to tell him if he’s going astray.Plus maybe Carlivati needed time to adjust in how he should write for Days and that’s why his first few months were a little bad.
A little bad?? Lol. They were nonsensical and cartoonish and made most of the characters look like morons….which incidentally was exactly what Ron did at GH. The double doppelgänger story went absolutely nowhere, served no purpose, and was mercifully aborted seemingly midstream, although I don’t know how seeing as DAYS tapes so far ahead. Maybe Corday was reading scripts and flipped out and said CUT THIS CRAP AND CHANGE GEARS QUICK! July to October was painful. Nicole’s exit was demeaning and awful and did a disservice to actress and character! Will’s return was kind of weird and anti-climactic. Though I NEVER liked Sami before except for her brief few moments of lucidity and sanity over the years (meaning when she was NOT being written by Jim Reilly), I found her maturity and comfortable ease with the rest of the cast very refreshing! I feared Ron (a writer frightfully similar to Reilly) would have Sami backslide, and come back ranting about Roman and Marlena getting back together, and hating Kate even though they made real peace in 2014. Sami pulled a few wacky stunts on this latest go round, but that was being very true to her character , and you needed that to justify her return, but all that was nicely tempered with genuine maturity!! Since Theo’s shooting, the show has been phenomenal and I think EVERYONE deserves a great deal of credit, but the lion’s share seems to be going to Ron and that seems misplaced and imbalanced.

I think “Stefan O” arranged to have him attacked and for it to look like a murder…he was against his mother’s plan to murder him…perhaps this was his way of making her think Andre is dead. And, if Tony is still alive (now, I’m new to this show and I don’t know the history so I could be completely off the track, just going by the little I know and have read here)…is it possible he was involved, too?
I think that Andre has faked his death to cause DiMera stock to plummet so he can buy it up and regain control of the company from Stephan and Vivian.

I think the fact that Vivian was so set on murdering Andre was a ploy to steer us in herbdirection.

I’m wondering if Andre was killed during a struggle with someone and so whoever killed him didn’t plan to do it.Also maybe Andre has faked his death and is going to fake either Vivian or Stefan for his “murder”.However if it turns Tony is alive i’m wondering if maybe the show is going to maybe tease that it was Tony who got killed and whoever did it thought it was Andre he or she was killing.That way when and if Tony appears alive the viewers wonder if it’s really Tony or if it’s Andre impersonating Tony again.

I think they are putting too much in potential for Stefan O to have him commit murder. I think he and Vivian planned it but somebody got to him first. Doubt highly it was Anna nor Gabi.

What if Tony, who fell off the pier while arguing with Phillip did not die? This solidifies boes theory. Tony killed Andre our of revenge? Maybe Andre held Tony prisoner, and he finally escaped? Not probable?
Hey, CeeCeeGirl!!! The real culprit is Victor Cassadine…he didn’t actually die in the Crichton-Clark explosion and he’s hiding out in Salem!!!! At least that’s my wishful thinking since I want to see Victor return to Port Charles one day!

Well, once this Faison thing is settled in Port Charles, I might as well “check out “ of GH and find another soaptown to visit! With no Genie Francis/Laura to assume the mantle of mayor, that storyline has been sullied to the max…I’ve no interest in watching the contest as it now stands, although I do have a suitably fitting campiagn slogan for Ned….”Quartermaine or Bust!” What do you think, CeeCeeGirl???? Okay I think that I figured this one out.I believe that Abby killed Andre well first he fires her then he takes away her company from her and Abby has killed before who is to say she wouldn’t do it again.I mean she was angry as all hell.

I think the killer is Abby. She became his biggest supporter and seemed horrified when she discovered his body. She’s the last person some people would suspect, but one shouldn’t forget Abby’s propensity for profound behavior…the girl has gone crazy on a crazy person before!! Abby just doesn’t remember she killed him, but eventually she will.

I think Abby blocked it out, Celia. She’s experiencing PTSD and a possible split personality. Maybe she does remember and at first she thought it was a dream, like when she dealt with Ben, the root of her problems. Juicy stuff!

Hold the phone. If this guy is indeed Andre, who cares who killed him? He was a psychopath serial killer who gruesomely stabbed and murdered multiple women in the early 1980’s. He also tried to kill Hope and Marlena while framing Roman in the process. Why are Kate and Abby all sentimental about this monster? Why would one of his victims, Hope, be trying to find his executioner? She executed Stefano, who deserved it. Roman saved her butt. Why the hard line with Roman and Anna about even filthier trash like Andre?
I tried to watch this show again because I loved ONE LIFE TO LIVE. However, anyone who writes for DAYS should know the show enough that Andre is the most evil, cruelest of DAYS’ pantheon of villains and serial killers. What next? Is Jake Kositchek going to return from the dead and be buddies with Roman, Marlena and Abe? This is sick. Someone needs to stop RC immediately and give him a history lesson.
Just rewatch the Jan 17th episode. Soooo obvious. Suspected it right after murder happened. Every single person looked guilty or like they knew something about it when they heard of andres death. The only person that showed real shock and emotion was one person. And I said yup there is yourkiller. ABIGAIL!!! Just watch that episode again. 1)Vivian foreshadowing conversation with Stefan about Abigail not being stable and could snap anytime 2)Abigail walking in on chad hugging gabi 3)gabi office with all those wigs in there 4)at least 2 maybe 3 close ups of gabi jacket and id badge. Which isn’t really relevant till after today’s episode. But 100 percent now proof it’s abigail

DAYS OF OUR LIVES Preview: Kristen Locates an Alive Sophia, How Much Does Rita Know About the Birth of Dominic Marino?
Next week, expected surprises and schemes on Days of our Lives. In official spoilers for episodes streaming on Peacock from October 5-9, it looks like Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) has hunted down a very much alive Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd), while Marlena (Deidre Hall) admits a deeply concerning confession to her daughter Belle (Martha Madison), and more.
As previously reported, Tajh Bellow (ex-TJ Ashford, General Hospital) is stepping in for one day for Tyler Joseph Andrews in the role of Theo Carver and will share scenes with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), where Theo finally agrees to go along with Gabi’s plan, after she offered him a job.
Meanwhile, Gabi may have her hands full with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) whose big win in Monte Carlo may have sparked his gambling addiction … all over again, but Philip reveals her has a plan.

Sydney (Sydney Malekeh) is in for a shock when Dante (Franco LoPresti) arrives in Salem. Why is he in Salem? Is he part of the unraveling of the Dominic Marino mystery, since we know he seemed like he was talking to the man in Monte Carlo?
Will Marlena ever figure out what Rita (Maggie Carney) is hiding about the mystery of Dominic, and if Marlena is truly his birth mother or did something more suspicious go on and how deeply involved is Rita in this whole story?
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) finally demands answers of his own from Rita after overhearing on today’s Cliffhanger Friday her conversation with Marlena. Will Rita cop to anything?
Then as noted, while everyone thinks Sophia took her own life, after Kristen “murdered” her, Kristen is infuriated to find she is somehow alive working as waitress in a diner in Kentucky. Will Kristen try to kill Sophia yet again?

‘General Hospital’ Alum Tajh Bellow Fills In for ‘Days of our Lives’ Tyler Joseph Andrews in the Role of Theo Carver
After an earlier post on Thursday, October 1 about General Hospital alumni Tajh Bellow’s (ex-TJ Ashford) upcoming project from Issa Rae’s HOOPAE Digital, comes word that Bellow is temporarily stepping into the role of Days of our Lives Theo Carver to fill in for Tyler Joseph Andrews on the Peacock streaming soap opera.
According to TV Insider, Bellow will be making a one-day appearance next week on the October 6 episode of DAYS as Andrews was unable to make the tape date that was shot 10 months ago on a day last December. Andrews (pictured below) took over the role of Theo in September of 2025.
In Bellow’s upcoming episode as Theo, he will share scenes with Cherie Jimenez (Gabi Hernandez). A DAYS spokesperson tells the outlet that Bellow “stepped seamlessly into the role, and the cast and crew were grateful for his professionalism and commitment, albeit for only one episode.”

TAJH WILL BE SEEN IN MULTIPLE PROJECTS IN OCTOBER
As General Hospital fans know, Tajh played the role of TJ Ashford from 2018 to his last appearance in December of 2024. Along the way, he received two Daytime Emmy nominations for his performances as TJ, the last being in 2025 in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.
In addition, bellow along with Y&R alum Loren Lott will be seen starting on October 14 in the new Love Island spoof series, The Compatibility Experiment. The show will drop exclusively on TikTok and the PineDrama platform.
The Compatibility Experiment gives a satirical look at reality dating shows, think Love Island! The story centers around Kelvin (Bellow) and Camila (Lott), whose relationship is put to the test when they join a reality show to try to win a the million dollar prize.

Four cast members are officially on contract at Days of our Lives, according to the soap opera’s closing credits on Peacock and longtime Days expert and historian Jason 47.
Lauren Koslow (Kate), Sydney Malakeh (Sydney), Sal Stowers (Lani) and Jacob Martinez (Javi) are the names that appear in the closing credits in the contracted cast members section. Days of our Lives fans also note that the series tapes ten months in advance of streaming episodes.
As Days of our Lives fans know, Lauren Koslow has played Kate Roberts since 1996, and recently filled-in for Jess Walton in the role of Jill Abbott on The Young and the Restless when Walton was unable to travel from Oregon to Los Angeles during the specific tape dates. But now, Koslow has been re-upped to contract status as of the September 8 episode.

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED
Sydney Malakeh is the newest member of the contract players when she debuted on contract status on the September 10th episode. Days fans first met Sami (Alison Sweeney) and EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) daughter in scenes in Monte Carlo around a gambling table.
As for Sal Stowers, the actress had been on contract from 2015-2022, then on recurring status with the soap, and would make appearances and limited runs since 2023. Soap fans first saw Sal as Cassandra Foster on Prospect Park’s revival of All My Children in 2013. Sal’s first new contracted episode was noted to be September 16.
Jacob Martinez, debuted on June 30 of this year as the successor to Al Calderon in the role of Javi Hernandez, and has now been bumped up to series regular as of the September 10 episode.

According to the referenced posting from Days of our Lives expert and historian Jason 47, he shared, “It took me four weeks to realize, but the same week that Sydney Malakeh (Sydney) debuted (9/7-9/11), “Days” also put Lauren Koslow (Kate), Jacob Richard Martinez (Javi) and Sal Stowers (Lani) on contract.”
Jason47 added, “This confirms the “errors” of Lani being listed in the credits the week of 9/7 but not appearing, and Kate and Javi appearing in the credits the week of 9/14 but not appearing. It also now makes sense why Javi and Sydney are being listed before Rafe and Philip in the credits.”
He also shared, “For the record, Lauren Koslow’s first date back on contract was 9/8, Jacob Richard Martinez was upped to contract on 9/10, Sydney Malakeh debuted on contract 9/10 and Sal Stowers’ first date back on contract was 9/16. The records will be fixed on the website in the coming days.”
