CaRidge Says Their "I Do's" ! Then Show Up For Their Wedding Reception At The B&B Pop Up Fan Event In The Big Apple!

Leave it to the oh-so-clever folks at The Bold and the Beautiful who on Monday blurred the lines of fiction, fantasy, and reality!

On Monday’s airshow of the CBS daytime drama, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) agree to share a makeshift wedding of their own with only themselves attending and no officiating party.   Set against a backdrop of  opulent and beautiful imaginary as only B&B can, the duo said some very personal vows to one another and exchanged rings.

Meanwhile, Thomas (Pierson Fode) is so downtrodden over the fact that Caroline has decided to run off with Ridge.  The young Forrester tried to clarify that he never thought he was taking advantage of Caroline on the night they slept together.  With the mention during the CaRidge wedding on how both Ridge and Caroline would like a child together, clearly this one night with Thomas will come back to haunt Caroline in more ways then one, or so it would seem.

But while the drama was unfolding on-screen, Thorsten Kaye and Linsey Godfrey were two of the BOLD cast members who were in New York City as part of the series first ever Pop Up Fan Event held at the Marriot Marquis Hotel.   But this wasn’t just any fan event!  Turns out that the attendees watched Monday’s episode together and reacted in unison to the events that unfolded which included: Thomas kissing Nicole (Reign Edwards)!

After the viewing, the series talented supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk revealed that Ridge and Caroline were actually here with them in New York City.  Next, in walked the actors in the same outfits they were seen in moments  ago on the actual episode … and from their a wedding reception ensued.  From toasts, to cutting the wedding cake, to a first dance, and even tossing the bouquet!

Of course, later the adoring fans got autograph and picture time with the stars which also included: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), John McCook (Eric), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy), and Pierson Fode.

Watch CaRidge say their vows on B&B’s Monday episode after the jump!  Then let us know, are you rooting for Caroline and Ridge to stay together? Do you think Caroline will be pregnant by Thomas?  What did you think of Thomas and Nicole’s kiss?  And finally, what did you think of the fun twist on a fan event produced by B&B?  Comment below!

I’m thrilled Ridge and Caroline are married! I would prefer if there were no secrets between them but I love this couple so much, I’m rooting for them to get past the obstacles.

As far as the Thomas/Caroline incident, I’m praying Thomas lied and nothing really happened. The way he described what happened doesn’t coincide with the state we saw Caroline in. She could barely keep her eyes open and her vision was getting blurry, I don’t think she was in any condition to have sex.

Basically I consider it rape. I think Caroline should have told Ridge. Presented it as I was incapacitated. I think Ridge would have sided with her. We know we’re going to have a baby daddy drama soon. I hope not, but it will probably end up being Thomas’.

AGREE 100% THEY BOTH LIED….CAROLINE WILL BE PREGNANT AND SO EXCITED TO TELL RIDGE AND HE WILL KNOW IMMEDIATELY HE IS NOT THE FATHER……NOW WILL BE FINALLY TELL HER THE TRUTH OR JUST PLAY ALONG?????? should be more interesting than the last two months or longer….

Oh, he definitely took advantage, there’s no question about that. The woman kept talking about her love for his father constantly, even in that state. She even called him a friend when he said he would like another chance. I don’t know what made him think it was a good idea to make a move.

I agree with Callie, I love this couple but I’m afraid the lies will doom them. Caroline should tell Ridge about Thomas, and Ridge should tell her about his vasectomy. But then this is a soap and no conflict would be boring.

The reception idea was so clever.

Are they going to city hall now so they’ll actually be legally married?

Loved the CaRidge wedding those two have amazing chemistry 🙂

Where was it filmed? The location was lovely. Glad they are married. They are so cute together. I hope they’ll be happy, but I know that won’t happen!

On a previous episode Caroline used the bathroom and sort of told Thomas there was no baby scenario so I don’t see how Caroline-Thomas-baby can happen! 🙂

How sixties of them, marrying themselves — and very clever to tie the fan event to the show like that, I’m sure those fans had a great time and that “reception” But story wise it was a waste of my time, the marriage isn’t legal, another “wedding” will have to happen or might not happen– so what was the point? It is bad enough when soaps can’t be bothered to hire an actor for a day to be a justice of the peace or clergy and have characters already on the show married people, like Kyle on Y&R marrying Sage and Nick. Now characters can just marry themselves—oh well that’s one way to cut down on costs–LOL

Justin could have married them. In fact, Ridge asked Caroline if she wanted Justin there for that purpose; and she declined

I think you mean Carter, not Justin.

I think you are correct!!! LOL must have been thinking of G

I’m enjoying B&B for the most part, but I’m not a big fan of this couple. Meh. But tying this into the fan event was brilliant and I’m sure it was a hit with fans in attendance. Fun!

I am all for a world without Ridge and Brooke, so I am thrilled that Caroline has captured his heart….

This is a believable couple….. I love Caroline and am hoping the Big V works…

I still remember when Ridge was in love with the original Caroline and married her . They were the first big supercouple on the show .To see the recast Ridge marry the Caroline who is the niece of the original Caroline makes me sick . I’m not happy !

My main problem with all stories on B&B (including CaRidge) is that there is the potential for conflict, but then the show either gets scared and chickens out of showing the results of the conflict, or it doesn’t know how to write it at all. For instance, Maya is transgender, and we all held our breaths at how Rick would react, and yet he was cool with it, as was everyone on the show except for her dad, who was a guest character and is no longer on the show. Aly dies, and I’ve waited for Thorne to explode, or for her death to impact someone other than Ivy vs. Steffy. Instead, Thorne left town soon after the funeral and no one mentions Aly at all. Now we have Caroline keeping several secrets from Ridge (Ivy’s blackmail, the night with Thomas) and Ridge keeping a secret from Caroline (his vasectomy). Brad Bell is usually all about location shoots, the more lavish, the better, and this year, he’s all about weddings. There have been four so far. Where’s the conflict? Where’s the fallout from people keeping secrets? It’s strange to me that CaRidge were broken up for less than one day in soap time for a good reason (Ridge didn’t want kids, and he told Caroline so), only to have them reunite the next day.

I dunno. I guess I would like this couple more if they actually had conflict to deal with, and while they have some secrets between them, I’m not convinced that Brad Bell will have any fallout from those secrets being revealed. Last year, he had Ridge run off to stop Bill and Brooke from marrying because of Bill’s secret about having drunken sex with Quinn, and once Brooke found out, she could have cared less. These secrets with CaRidge will probably result with both Caroline and Ridge forgiving each other in the same episode as the reveals happen. As for Thomas, Ridge will be upset for a few minutes and then he’ll hug his son.

By the way, I’ve noticed that after 3 exotic location shoots last year, there have been none in 2015, except for the NYC fan event. It was creative and they did fly a bunch of actors across country, but it’s hardly the same budget as the shoots in the United Arab Emirates, Amsterdam or Monaco/Paris, especially since the fans paid for the experience in NYC. Does this mean B&B’s budget isn’t quite as rich as it was a year ago? It makes me wonder…

If no one officiated, is the marriage legal?

Excellent question. A minister who has stepped up for duty..

1) there is no civil that governs or holds the ceremony of marriage. In my state there is no law on the book that governs vows or any other ceremonial aspect. These aspects have been left to the individual s getting married. You wanna do it with an Elvis impersonator during a full moon? Knock yourself out.

2) marriage exists under property law. It’s a legal contract about assets. You are registering your desire to enter a legal partnership (the application). Then you wait the appropriate period (Vegas has no waiting period, my state makes you wait a week) and submit a signed license.

So in my state, I would sign as the legal officiant and the couple would sign. Signed, submitted to the County and then registered.

BB is fiction. But yeah, they could have done this and had Brooke process the paperwork.

Anyone need a minister? No fee!!!!

Thanks for the info. Interesting.

Brooke is a beautiful women and deserves to be in a happy relationship. Ridge has played her for years! So sad to see her alone, a victim of a double standard set by Ridge, and mistreated!! I miss Ron Moss!

That’s another thing that bothers me. I would like B&B to stop having Ridge say that he’s never loved like this before when we’ve all seen that he has, and for much longer. It’s disrespectful of history. If he loves Caroline 2.0, great but don’t disregard Ridge’s history in the process. That line was both unnecessary and wrong. As for Brooke, I would love to see her move on, too. I don’t like how everyone on this show gets to be in happy, loving relationships except for Brooke and Eric (though he’s rarely on).

Caroline and Ridge are the BESTand most romantic couple on daytime right now. Please keep them together no matter what.
As for the wedding in Malibu–it’s my favorite place on earth and the most beautiful as Ridge said.

Can someone tell me the song tht was playing when ridge and caroline got married in Malibu
u its Beautiful

Please create a new role for Brooke. Please let her move on! Ridge is having a mid-life crisis and has moved on to a younger women with no baggage. While he is full of baggage. He used Brooke for years and broken up all her relationships when she tried to move on??? Last year he prevented her from getting married but he dumped her because she ” communicated with her daughter’s father and did not tell him?? ” So silly– a double standard. He was in love with her sister recently too! He is such a jerk. What will he think when Caroline becomes pregnant by his son Thomas??? Brooke is too talented and beautiful to be reduced to this heartbroken rejected women. Such an insult to the history of the time Brooke was the love of his life! Is it because Ron Moss retired that the writers not put them together? Whatever the reason I am only recording and watching the show 1 x wkly because of Brooke’s sad story line! It looks like I will not be watching this show much longer. I don’t care to hear Ridge say he has never been this happy before! I have watched this soap since 1987!! And that is a LIE!!

Days Of Our Lives

Jason Cook Recalls Landing His Soap Roles as DAYS Shawn-Douglas Brady and GH’s Matt Hunter

Daytime fans remember Jason Cook when he became wildly-popular as Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo’s (Peter Reckell) son, Shawn-Douglas Brady on Days of our Lives from 1999-2006. He later made a brief return in the role in 2015 for the series 50th anniversary.

After departing DAYS, Cook was offered a role on General Hospital as Dr. Matt Hunter, the younger brother to Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) from 2008-2012. However, during his time on the soaps, and after, Cook has been focusing on his behind the scenes roles and passion as writer and a director of feature films.

Last week, the Michael Fairman Channel welcomed Jason, along with two of the stars of his latest film, Four for Fun, Brytni Sarpy (Elena, Y&R) and Jacob Young (ex-AMC, B&B, GH). During the conversation, Cook revealed his continued admiration for the soap medium and the actors who work in it, and how it came to pass that he landed his parts on Days of our Lives, and then on General Hospital.

Photo: JPI

Cook spoke on becoming the on-screen son of soap opera’s most iconic couples, Bo and Hope: “I auditioned for Fran Bascom. She was the Days of our Lives casting director at the time. I was never a great auditioner, I don’t think. She made me feel really comfortable. I remember that screen test. And then, I remember when I got the part, I was actually working at a company at a desk job. I got the call at work and I just screamed, and at the time I didn’t quit my job. But then, I got that contract when I was 19-years-old and it totally changed my life.”

Photo: JPI

But, was Jason aware how key to the show being Bo and Hope’s son would be? “Yeah, my older sister was a fan of the show. She definitely let me know that I better not mess it up, because I was gonna ruin her favorite couple,” he shared. “I remember she printed out the family tree and it looked like a physics diagram. It was so complicated. A lot of detailed work went into it. But, I was excited.”

After being a known entity with a large fan following, eventually Cook made his way to a new role on General Hospital. Jason explained, “GH was fun. That was a situation where Brian Frons (ex-ABC Daytime President) brought me over there. I just told him I didn’t want to be like or want to do Shawn. He’s like, ‘Well, what do you wanna do?’ I said, ‘How can I screw things up around here and shake things up?'”

Photo: JPI

From that conversation things began to formulate. Cook revealed, “We started talking about the TV series House. I think in soaps, there’s an assumption if you’re going on a show that everybody wants to be the hero. I was like, ‘I don’t want to (be). I want to screw everything up.’ And then, they wrote it in that Matt Hunter burns the hospital down within like six months. I was like really proud about that. The other part that I loved about that character is that Matt, and his older brother Patrick (Jason Thompson), were both neurosurgeons. And if you (an actor) resigned your contract (with the show) you go to Patrick, you see Patrick. And if you don’t resign your contract, you see my character, because my character was going to kill you every time.”

For more on the interview, make sure to check out the replay of the livestream conversation below with Jason, Brytni Sarpy and Jacob Young.  Now let us know, did you enjoy Jason as Shawn-D and Matt on GH? Do you hope someday he might return on-screen to the soaps? Let us know in the comment section.

Sting Goes Out on Top in the Perfect Finale to His Legendary Career at ‘AEW Revolution’

They could not have done it any better. For weeks leading up to the Sunday’s AEW: Revolution pay-per-view, the questions remained, would AEW live up to the hype and deliver to “The Icon” Sting a befitting goodbye, when in his previous returns during his legendary career were less than stellar in TNA and WWE?

The answer was “Yes!” Every box was check-marked. It was revealed in the post-match media scrum and in subsequent articles and online, that Sting had a major hand in who he wanted to wrestle against in his final match, and how his sons would be involved in his last appearance in AEW and in a pro wrestling ring, and more.

When it came down to the main event at the historic Greensboro, North Carolina, home to the classic NWA 1988 match with Sting vs. Ric Flair, that set the tone for him becoming one of the greatest to ever do it. Now in 2024, Sting was about to enter the ring for the last time in emotional fashion with more than 16,000 in attendance and a worldwide audience watching at home.

Photo: AEW

First, a video package rolled where Sting is seated inside a movie theatre as he watches his life in wrestling up on the screen pass by. After it comes to its conclusion, he looks to camera ready for battle for the last time. Back to live action, two versions of Sting appear at the top of the entrance ramp. And, in another emotional moment, it is revealed that the two men in the iconic wrestling gear from two different eras of Sting’s career were his two sons; one dressed as “Surfer Sting” and one dressed as “Wolfpac Sting”. In fact, Sting’s sons, Garrett and Steve Jr. were a part of his final act, as they two were beaten down by the Young Bucks a few weeks back on AEW TV.

Next, Sting himself enters and the crowd erupts as the Texas Tornado match in which he is a part of takes off. In it, Sting and his partner Darby Allin are defending the AEW World Tag Team championships against the Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. The match delivered death-defying moves including: Sting taking a suplex off the stage and through a table, and Darby Allin putting his body on the line crashing through a pane of glass after he dove off a ladder.

Several dear friends and wrestling luminaries were in attendance or involved in the match including Ric Flair who jumped into the ring to protect Sting at one point, and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat who was the guest timekeeper. However, both were knocked out by superkicks by the Bucks for their trouble. Those in the audience were former pro wrestlers, Lex Luger, Magnum TA, Scotty Riggs, Nikita Koloff, and Diamond Dallas Page, plus others from Sting’s extended family.

In the end, Sting scored the win performing his signature move, the Scorpion Death Lock, on Matthew Jackson. Sting and Darby Allin retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Fans were relieved that Sting went out a winner and many cried tears of joy.

Next, Sting was next celebrated in the ring as confetti was shot out, and fans chanted “Thank you. Sting!” When, there were only five minutes left of air time on the pay-per-view, Sting began to thank Greensboro, the crowd, his family and AEW, when suddenly time ran out and unfortunately the show ended. However, after the match, his final words to the crowd and the company were posted on social media (you can watch it below). In the post-‘Revolution’ media scrum, Sting even called Sunday night, a “Top 3” match of his career.

Photo: AEW

Sting was key WCW’s success in the Monday Night Wars in the mid-to-late nineties against the WWE, when his version of “Crow” Sting coming down from the rafters to fight Hollywood Hulk Hogan and the NWO were epic. The story built for over a year with Sting barely uttering a word, but he ultimately became everybody’s hero in a story of good vs. evil. And that’s the case with Steve “Sting” Borden, too. He will be remembered as one of wrestling’s good guys, in front of the camera and to everyone that knew him behind the scenes.

So, what did you think of the way AEW honored the iconic Sting and his final match? Were you happy with all the special moments before/during and after the match? All we can say and to echo those sentiments from those in attendance and around the world, “Thank you, Sting!”

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Tanner Novlan on Sheila’s Death: “Normally, Finn Would Be Right There with Steffy and Helping Her Through It, But Someone Needs to Help Finn Through This.”

This past week, viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful watched in shock as Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was stabbed and eventually died, when Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in self-defense plunged a knife into the supervillain.

According to all accounts, for now, Kimberlin Brown has exited the series, leaving fans in disbelief. Many believe it’s a set-up against Steffy, and Sheila has not really met her maker. At the epicenter of the story is also Tanner Novlan (Finn). In key moments, it appears that Finn blames his wife for his biological mother’s death, which sends him reeling and not comforting his wife.

Instead, he runs out of the cliff house and goes to Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) where he sits in devastation, only at the end of Friday’s episode to be comforted by none other than Hope (Annika Noelle). All leading to speculation that Finn and Hope are about to hook up. Tanner appeared on the newest episode of Bold Live after the week’s episodes where he fielded questions from callers on what inquiring B&B fans want to know.

Photo: JPI

During the call-in show, Novlan addressed if he thinks or knows if Sheila is actually alive. He responded, “Who knows? It is the soap world, but we definitely had to say goodbye to Kimberlin at work and that was really tough and really sad.”

While fans love their ‘Sinn’, Tanner agreed that they are seemingly an enduring couple, but the death of Finn’s mom will challenge them in a whole new way as his core values are tested. “I don’t think anyone wants to see ‘Sinn’ go away. They have one of the best relationships in soaps. It’s really interesting to see all of these different elements thrown at them and the them survive and how they battle through it,” he explained. “With this recent reaction it was different than the other ones, and the challenges they faced. I think it’s a moment where Finn is really rocked, and you’re right, his values, we know them. That is what is so great in playing him, in that, he has such great, true honest values.”

Photo: JPI

When getting the scripts in which Finn points the finger at Steffy for his mother’s death and does not comfort her, Novlan shared his reaction, “In this moment he (Finn) is having a really hard time, mentally, which I think as an actor when I read that I was like, ‘Why isn’t he standing by his wife? What’s going on? This is not like him.’ This is something deep in him that has been triggered and he’s going to have to figure that out.” Tanner added, “Normally, Finn would be right there with Steffy and helping her through it, but someone needs to help Finn through this.”

Photo: JPI

All leading to what fans saw on Friday’s episode. Hope comforted Finn in his grief. While Novlan is not giving anything away, he told a caller, about a potential Finn/Hope pairing that, “Finn would have to battle Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and that might be a mountain to climb. I think Finn just needs someone to talk to. That relationship feels platonic to me.”

Watch the entire episode of BOLD Live featuring Novlan below.

Now let us know, do you think Hope and Finn will hit the sheets? Will Steffy and Finn ultimately divorce only to reunite down the line? Will Sheila come back alive and well, once Steffy is locked up behind bars for her “murder”? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
